For this gold trophy, you will actually have to play the game unlike the 7 bronze trophies above. The goal is to set the high score, which for Ninja Kid is 20,000 points. You get points by defeating enemies, collecting powerups, and getting time bonuses for clearing each level quickly. Use to throw shurikens and attack enemies, and to jump. To jump up a level, you have to be moving left or right for some reason. If you are standing still and hit , you will jump to the level below you.

Simply clear all the enemies from a level to clear it. If you climb quickly enough, you can clear a level while only seeing 3-5 enemies. The enemies will occasionally drop little blue powerups that are worth 200 points each at the Clear Level screen. You’ll also see little blue/orange orbs fall from the screen occasionally. Try your best to collect these as they’re worth 1,000 points each, and if you get 3 you will access a bonus level that can quickly jack up your point total by getting more “magical balls” as the game calls them.

Once you have achieved the high score, you can commit suicide until you are out of lives. At the Game Over screen, you will be asked to put your name on a leaderboard, which will earn you one of the two gold trophies. Hit on the white box prompt to upload your score to the interwebs for the second gold trophy and you should have 100% now!

If you’re struggling and 3 lives isn’t enough to get you to 20,000 points, you can increase your total number of lives by hitting the , selecting the second option from the top and changing the top option from 3 to 5.
