Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is a fighting game developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for PlayStation 4. It is the sixth overall installment to the Ultimate Ninja Storm series and is the sequel to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. However, Storm 4 is the first Ultimate Ninja Storm installment for PlayStation 4 and relives the events of Naruto Shippuden as it covers the final arcs of the Naruto manga storyline. This is therefore the last installment of the Ultimate Ninja Storm series.

The trophies in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 are very different this time around despite the trophy list being very similar to previous Ultimate Ninja Storm titles. Half of the trophies are for achieving S Ranks in the Story Mode episodes and they are much harder this time around. There are a few S Ranks that are simple to complete, but there are a few that can be considered extremely difficult even for veteran Storm players. The rest of the trophies are the basic "Complete things" such as completing Adventure Mode, Challenge Leagues, Ability Cap Survivals, defeating 30 opponents in Ultimate Survival and of course the last few trophies are miscellaneous that can be done in Free Battle. This game doesn't have any online trophies.

This section will go over some basic information as this latest installment comes action-packed with both new and old things that players need to know before playing.

Command List Controls:

  • - Move/Get Up: when you get knocked down
  • - Switch Team Leaders
  • / - Call Support Allies
  • - Guard
  • - Substitution Jutsu: right when an attack hits, press
  • - Strike: You can tap it multiple times or even change directions of the combo. Additionally, continue to attack a Guarding enemy and you'll Guard Break them.
  • + - Throw
  • + - Counterattack
  • - Shuriken: For some characters, press repeatedly for combo. An example is Deidara
  • - Jump: During a jump, press again to Double Jump.
  • [Rapid] - Ninja Dash
  • [Hold] - Rebound: Hold down when you are hit back
  • [Hold] - Chakra Charge
  • - Chakra Load
  • + - Chakra Shuriken
  • + - Chakra Dash: Can also be used to for Chakra Dash Combos, Chakra Back Dash, and Charge Chakra Dash
  • + - Ninjutsu: Some characters can do midair Ninjutsu
  • - Secret Technique also known as Ultimate Jutsu
  • - Pause Menu
  • - Ninja Tools

Other things you need to know, is when your Health bar falls below 40% you can hold until you fill your Chakra bar completely and get Awakened. This is a mode that gives you special abilities depending on the character you're playing as. You can also climb walls by wall running on it if you're nearby a wall and switch Team Leaders in the middle of combos.

Step 1: Complete Story Mode Whilst Going for all S Ranks Trophies

This is the most time consuming step towards acquiring the Platinum Trophy, which is to complete the Story Mode. While in Story Mode, you'll notice the Storyboard as it contains episodes of Episode Chapters (from event scenes) and Battle Chapters (from battles). These episodes are divided into their own chapters, and some have two routes that you need to clear in order to complete the chapter. Also, there are side stories that you can play even though they have no effect on completing the actual chapter. Additionally, you do need to S Rank these side stories if you're going for the Platinum Trophy due to side stories having an S Rank trophy attached to them, so it's advised to play each of the side stories as well. After completing chapters, you're free to replay chapters and battles that you've completed. There are four types of Battle Events and the following are their icon types:

Simply put, Boss Battles is where you fight a boss while using Interactive Actions (or IA), they are phases of movies where you input buttons in relation to what's happening on screen. These are needed to be inputted correctly due to them having an effect on S Ranks. Free Battles is the easiest because they are simply just normal fights. Mob Battles is a battle mode in which you fight with a large amount of enemies. Basic controls such as movement, attacking, and Ninjutsu are the same as Free Battle Mode. However, certain commands cannot be used such as Secret Techniques and Awakens. Dramatic Battles is a special battle that combines Free Battle with Interactive Actions. While doing these Battle Events you'll be getting a letter grade as shown on the Storyboard Results and Total Score. S Ranks is the highest score you can achieve and it's achieved in the following ways:

  • 90% or higher Health
  • 90% or higher IA Completion Ratio
  • 100% Secret Action Completion Ratio
  • Never used a Continue

Secret Actions are actions that must be performed in battle to trigger a hidden action scene. There are only two Battle Events that require Secret Actions, so it really isn't all that important to worry about. The S Ranks will be the most time consuming to achieve and are the very reason why this is your most time consuming step to complete. Some of the S Ranks are very easy to obtain while a few others will require you to retry them few times. Some of the hardest S Ranks are the ones like the following:

  1. Kurama and Gyuki vs Ten Tails
  2. Guy vs Madara
  3. Obito, Kakashi, and Sakura vs Kaguya
  4. Naruto vs Sasuke

For more information and strategy on how to achieve the S Rank trophies, please refer to the Trophy Guide.

Completing the Story Mode and achieving S Ranks in all Battle Events will give you the following trophies:

A Chain of Battles
Differing Paths
A Never-ending Threat
Sealing the Violent Goddess

Step 2: Obtain all Survival and League Trophies from Free Battle Mode

In Free Battle Mode you can play in multiple types of battles against the COM or even another local player. You'll need to complete the following things while in Free Battle:

  • Survival: Test how long you can last with one health bar over multiple fights.
    1. Ability Cap Survival: Challenge various courses under different conditions.
      • Complete everything from the beginner level of Ability Cap Survival.
      • Complete everything from the medium level of Ability Cap Survival.
      • Complete everything from the advanced level of Ability Cap Survival.
    2. Ultimate Survival: Battle under various conditions against randomly selected opponents.
      • Get past 30 opponents in Ultimate Survival.
  • League: In League, you can enjoy fighting in league-type sets of battles.
    1. Challenge League: Various difficulty levels are found within these league battles for you to enjoy.
      • Complete everything from the beginner level of Challenge League.
      • Complete everything from the intermediate level of Challenge League.
      • Complete everything from advanced level of Challenge League.

This step is very easy especially if you already conquered all S Ranks trophies. These aren't that difficult to achieve and for more information on any Survival or League trophies, please refer to the Trophy Guide.

After completing both Survival and League Modes you'll have earned the following:

Beginner Ability Cap Survival Complete!
Intermediate Ability Cap Survival Complete!
Advanced Ability Cap Survival Complete!
30 Wins in Ultimate Survival
Yeah! Beginner Challenge League Beaten!
Wow! Intermediate Challenge League Beaten!
Excellent! Advanced Challenge League Beaten!

Step 3: Complete Adventure Mode's "Trail of the Gale." Main and Sub Events

In Adventure mode, you can go on adventures in the world of Naruto Shippuden based on the events after the Story Mode. Although, you can play Adventure Mode at anytime, it's suggested that you complete the Story Mode first before jumping into this step. In Adventure Mode, select "Naruto Uzumaki: Trail of the Gale" and simply focus on completing the Main Events first and then complete all the remaining Sub Events. This step takes about 4-6 hours of your time to complete. You can also check your Event Completion progress by pressing either the or buttons. For more information about completing the Main and Sub Events in "Trail of the Gale", please refer to the Trophy Guide.

Achieving a 100% Event Completion in "Trail of the Gale" will grant you the following trophies:

Trail of the Gale Expert
Trail of the Gale Master

Step 4: Cleanup the remaining Miscellaneous Trophies

This is the final step and all you need to do is to cleanup any trophies that you're still missing. Most of your remaining trophies at this point will most likely be the miscellaneous trophies. Although, most of these miscellaneous trophies might have unlocked naturally for you just by playing the game. These trophies are all simple to obtain and can be done in Free Battle "VS Battle" mode. If you're missing any other trophy now is the time to go back and obtain them. For more information about the miscellaneous trophies, please refer to the Trophy Guide.

Completing this step and you'll have earned the following trophies:

Personal Strength, Released
Dancing to the Same Beat
Attacking is the Greatest Defense
Masterful Timing
Forbidden Power Released
Full Power Teamwork!
Personal Strengths, Maxed Out
Unscathed
Perfect Win
The Possibilities of the Next Strike
Perfect Storm Master

Road to Boruto DLC

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 2/10
  • Offline: 3 (1 | 2 )
  • Online: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%:
    • 5-10 Hours with cutscene skipping
    • 10-15 Hours without cutscene skipping
  • Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 - Boruto's Tale Game Mode
  • Number of missable trophies: None, Chapter Select available
  • Glitched trophies: None
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: None
  • Do trophies stack?: No
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto is the final DLC for Storm 4. If you purchase this version of the game, you'll get all 3 DLC packs from the Season Pass (Gaara's Tale Extra Scenario Pack, Shikamaru's Tale Extra Scenario Pack, and the Sound Four Extra Playable Character's Pack) and the main expansion itself - Road to Boruto DLC. Out of these DLCs, only the Road to Boruto has DLC trophies. It should be noted that if you already own the original Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and the Season Pass, you don't have to repurchase the game again. You do, however, need to buy the Road to Boruto Pack expansion which can be found on the PSN Store as Add-On content.

The trophies in Road to Boruto are extremely easy to obtain when compared to the base game. You will need to complete all of the Boruto's Tale battles with an S Rank as well as all the Side Quests. You don't have to S Rank any Side Quests battles, but expect a lot of battles. There are no online trophies.

The events in this expansion take place after Naruto Shippuden. It's recommended that you finish Story Mode or Trail of the Gale Arc before playing Road to Boruto.

Step 1: Complete Boruto's Tale whilst completing all event battles with an S rank

This is where you'll spend the majority of your time. You can access the Boruto's Tale game mode from the main menu. In this mode, you can relive the events of Boruto: Naruto the Movie. While in Story Mode, the Storyboard will contain Episode Chapters (from event scenes) and Battle Chapters (from battles). These episodes are divided into their own chapters. After completing chapters, you're free to replay chapters and battles that you've already completed. In order to replay something, select Episodes, then the Chapter that you want to replay. There are three types of Battle Events:

Boss Battles are where you fight a boss while using Interactive Actions (or IA), they are phases of movies where you input buttons in relation to what's happening on screen. These need to be input correctly due to them having an effect on S Ranks. Free Battles is the easiest because they are just normal fights. Dramatic Battles is a special battle that combines Free Battle with Interactive Actions. While doing these Battle Events, you'll get a letter grade. S Rank is the highest score you can achieve and it's achieved in the following ways:

  • 90% or higher Health
  • 90% or higher IA Completion Ratio
  • 100% Secret Action Completion Ratio
  • Never used a Continue

There aren't any Secret Actions to worry about in this expansion even though you can trigger the Secret Factor in a few fights. The S Ranks are extremely easy in Story Mode and there should only be one hard S Rank which is a Boss Battle:

  • Naruto & Sasuke vs Saruiwa (Monkey Rock)

The Trophy Guide section will explain how to achieve the S Rank for this fight. The other fights won't be covered in detail because you have the ability to spam Ultimate Jutsu attacks and even use Ninja Tools that can recover your Health Bar. These items can be purchased from shops in the Village Hidden in the Leaves. The Ninja Tools I used were these:

  • Value Ointment - Recover a little Health.
  • All-Purpose Ointment - Recover some Health.
  • Best Chakra Recovery Potion - Recovers a lot of Chakra.
  • Book of the Mind's Eye - For a set amount of time, Substitution Gauge Recovery Speed is boosted. Short duration.

Completing the Story Mode and achieving S Ranks in all Battle Events will give you the following trophies:

Boruto's Tale - All S Ranks
Boruto's Tale Expert

Step 2: Complete all of the Boruto's Tale side quests Sub Events

After completing the main Story Mode event of Boruto's Tale, focus on completing the Sub Events. This step takes about 5-10 hours to complete. You can also check your Event Completion progress by pressing either the or buttons. For more information about completing the Sub Events, please refer to the Trophy Guide.

Completing all of the Boruto's Tale Sub Events side quests will give you the following trophy:

Boruto's Tale Master

    Chapter: Creation

This is an S Rank trophy where you'll need to complete "Deathmatch of Creation" with an S Rank completion. In order to achieve an S Rank you must complete the battle with the following:

    1. 90% or higher Health
    2. 90% or higher IA Completion Ratio
    3. Never used a Continue

This S Rank trophy is broken down into two parts, but both fights are found under the "Ninja History" Episode Chapter. Below, you'll find information and strategy on how to achieve the S Rank.

    Ninja History ~ Part 1

    1. Hashirama vs Madara

There's an Interactive Action during the opening cutscene of this fight, so input the following:

    Interactive Actions Sequence 1

    • to avoid the Nine Tails attack and disable his movements

During the first part of the battle, you're unable to use Ultimate Jutsu and Madara has a much higher Health bar than you. The best method to defeat Madara and keep your health over 90% is to use Chakra Dash [Chakra Load + ], and then combo with the basic combo, but before you finish the combo follow up with another Chakra Dash to keep the combo spamming going. When you managed to take close to half of Madara's Health, the Nine Tails will start breaking free from Hashirama's wood dragon binding jutsu. There will be a twin sword that appears stuck in the ground, you'll need to rush to these and then hold to acquire the sword. Now Hashirama will fight Madara using a sword as a weapon, but the same strategy can be used to defeat Madara if you're spamming the Chakra Dash combos. Remember to recharge your Chakra whenever needed and use Substitution to avoid getting hit. As you're fighting Madara and break his weapon by mashing , Madara will equip his Susano'o every now and then afterwards. During these instances, dodge his attacks by flicking the left or right, and then press if you went left or if you went right. Going left will summon Wood Clones that will assault Madara for heavy damage and going right will summon a Wood Dragon Jutsu that will automatically hit Madara for heavy damage. Rinse and repeat these methods until the final Interactive Actions triggers.

    Interactive Actions Sequence 2

    • To stop the Tailed Beast Bomb
    • To jump over Madara's Nine Tails Susano'o Slash Attack

    Ninja History ~ Part 2

This is the final part of the battle and it's Hashirama's Wood Release: Wood Human Technique Jutsu vs Madara's Nine Tails (Susano'o Equipped). You're practically in an awaken form; you cannot use an Ultimate Jutsu during this boss battle. The Wood Human Golem isn't as fast in terms of movement either. When the fight starts, you want to run either left or right and wait for Madara to attack you. Madara will swing his sword straight down and it will create a Slash Attack with 3 shockwaves coming from the swing. This is easily dodge able if you are already moving and out of the attack's radius or you can run in between the slashes. As soon as you dodge the attack, run straight to Madara (or use the Wood Style: Adamantine Fist [Chakra Load + ] to deal damage and get closer at the same time) and deliver the basic combo attack with , and then wait for Madara to attack you again. Rinse and repeat this until Madara's Susano'o turns purple.

When the Nine Tails Susano'o armor turns purple, he'll become more aggressive with his attacks. It's best to wait for an opening and attack Madara with caution. Madara will gain some distance between you two in a small cutscene and will jump at you, so press either left or right to avoid Madara's Body Press attack. If you went right press the button to perform a Body Slam attack and deal heavy damage, then follow up with the basic combo. Every now and then, Madara will have the Nine Tails shoot Tailed Beast Bombs at you. Fire off three shots in a row, but these are easily dodged if you're running either left or right without stopping. Continue to play the dodging game while you're getting closer to Madara's location. When you're close enough after dodging the 3rd Tailed Beast Bomb shot, perform a Wood Style: Adamantine Fist [Chakra Load + ] to deliver a power punch attack and get closer to Madara. Once you succeeded in closing the distance, assault Madara with another basic combo until you pushed him away from you. At this point, the Nine Tails Susano'o armor should return to blue again. Madara will start attack with his sword and it will get stuck in the ground. If this happens, wait for him to get stuck and lung at him using Wood Style: Adamantine Fist and then follow up with a combo. Once you dealt enough damage, Madara will lose one of his swords during a brief cutscene.

Quickly, run towards the Susano'o blade's location and hold in order to pick it up. Do this before Madara has a chance to recover and attack you. When you acquired the Susano'o blade, Hashirama will automatically throw it right back at Madara, taking nearly half of his Health bar. Madara's Nine Tails will turn purple again and become even more aggressive. Madara will gain some distance to perform a larger version of the Tailed Beast Bomb. To prevent this from happening, simply run up to Madara and mash the button until it stops, however, don't get too carried away after stopping the attack. You'll want to back off a little bit because Madara can hit you after you prevent the larger Tailed Beast Bomb from firing. Simply strife left or right and wait for an opening to attack. Madara attacks three times in a row with Claw Slash attacks and every now and again he will swing his sword around in a 360 degrees radius. This attack is extremely hard to dodge as you need to be out of the radius to avoid it. Once you dealt a few more damage a brief scene will happen and Madara will fire 3 Tailed Beast Bombs at you, dodge by pressing the following , , and . Afterwards, finish the Interactive Actions that follows:

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • to charge at Madara
    • to grab the Nine Tails' tails
    • Rotate the to spin the Nine Tails around
    • Rotate the to spin the Nine Tails around
    • Rotate the to spin the Nine Tails around
    • to throw the Nine Tails across the field
    • to get reach to attack Madara
    • Mash repeatedly to attack/counter Madara
    • Press when the lines enter the squared shaped symbol that in the center of the screen.
  • Completed "Behind the Mask" with an S Rank.

    Chapter: Two Unparalleled Warriors

This is an S Rank trophy where you'll need to complete "Behind the Mask" with an S Rank completion. In order to achieve an S Rank you must complete the battle with the following:

    1. 90% or higher Health
    2. Never used a Continue

This S Rank trophy is a free battle where all you need to do is simply beat the opponent while maintaining 90% of your health. The fight is found under the "The Ninja Take a Stand" Episode Chapter. Below, you'll find information and strategy on how to achieve the S Rank.

    The Ninja Take a Stand

This fight will have you controlling Naruto, Kakashi, and Guy vs Tobi. Tobi has a normal Health bar. The easiest way is to spam your Ultimate Jutsu attacks or Jutsu techniques in general. When the fight starts, try to hit Tobi with Naruto's Super Mini Tailed Beast Bomb [Chakra Load + ], then quickly switch control to Kakashi because his Ultimate Jutsu is a long ranged attack. Hit Tobi with Kakashi's Lightning Blade: Speed [ ] and recharge your Chakra by holding when you're low on Chakra. Rinse and repeat the Ultimate Jutsu spamming and you should have no problems winning the fight while maintaining 90% of your Health bar. Remember, you can use Naruto and Guy as support by pressing the or buttons. Additionally, you can press to use Food Pills to give you an ATK boost for a set amount of time.

  • Completed "The Boys' Battlefield (Part 1)" with an S Rank.

This S Rank trophy is a mob battle where all you need to do is simply defeat all the clones of Mahiru while maintaining 90% of your health. The fight is found under the "Boys in the Midst of War" Episode Chapter. Below, you'll find information and strategy on how to achieve the S Rank.

Boys in the Midst of War

During this fight you'll have control of Kakashi, Rin and Minato vs Mahiru and his gang of Shadow Clones. To get an S Rank, the best way is to charge up Kakashi's Chidori [Chakra Load + ] and it will track down the enemies around you. It is the best way to cleanup the enemies that are around you. Watch out for any red markings on the ground. That means that Mahiru will be using a jutsu attack in that area. Stay out of the range of the red markers! After fighting for a little bit, the real Mahiru will appear out of hiding and you have to defeat him. He has a little more health than the other clones because it is the real him. You can beat on him the normal way with melee combos of , or even use your Chidori [Chakra Load + ]. On the real Mahiru, don't be afraid to call upon your support for assistance. Once you defeated the real Mahiru, the battle will be over.

  • Completed "The Boys' Battlefield (Part 2)" with an S Rank.

    Chapter: Two Unparalleled Warriors

This is an S Rank trophy where you'll need to complete "The Boys' Battlefield (Part 2)" with an S Rank completion. In order to achieve an S Rank you must complete the battle with the following:

    1. 90% or higher Health
    2. 90% or higher IA Completion Ratio
    3. Never used a Continue

This S Rank trophy is broken down into three parts. The first two parts are both Free Battles but the third part is a Dramatic Battle. A Dramatic Battle is a special battle that combines free battle with Interactive Actions. Below, you'll find information and strategy on how to achieve the S Rank.

    Rin, Kidnapped

During the first part of this battle, you're unable to use Ultimate Jutsu and Taiseki has a much higher Health bar than you. The best method to defeat Taiseki and keep your health over 90% is to use Chakra Dash [Chakra Load + ], and then combo with the basic combo, but before you finish the combo follow up with another Chakra Dash to keep the combo spamming going. After ending the combo you will knockback Taiseki across the field. This gives you enough time to recharge some Chakra to repeat the process all over again. Occasionally, Taiseki will wall run on the cave. If he does this, simply Chakra Dash to him and knock him off the wall to the ground by using Obito's Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu [Chakra Load + ]. Eventually the battle will come to an end when you damaged Taiseki enough.

    The Two United

This is the second part of the Free Battle and now it's Obito and Kakashi vs Kakkou and Taiseki, however, you're still unable to use Ultimate Jutsu. Use whichever character you're comfortable with here or both of them because you can switch characters at anytime by toggling the button. Nothing has changed much for this battle, so use Chakra Dash [Chakra Load + ], and then combo with the basic combo, but before you finish the combo follow up with another Chakra Dash to keep the combo spamming going. Recharge your Chakra back up whenever you knock your opponent back. If they climbing the walls, Chakra Dash to them and knock them off the wall to the ground by using either Obito or Kakashi's Jutsu techniques. Remember, you can use Kakashi as support by pressing the or buttons. Eventually, Kakkou and Taiseki's Health bar will be red and won't go down any further. This is because you need to perform a QTE, so get some distance between you and your opponent and Kakkou will charge at you:

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • Flick the button to the left to dodge Kakkou's attack.
    • Press to have Obito attack Kakkou.

    Inherited Eyes

This is the final part of the battle and Obito is in Awakened State, so you're unable to Awaken. The good news is that you can now use Ultimate Jutsus of either Obito or Kakashi, but keep in mind that Kakkou still has more Health bar than you. The easiest way is to spam your Ultimate Jutsu attacks or Jutsu techniques in general. When the fight starts, try to hit Kakkou with Obito's Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu [ ] and recharge your Chakra by holding when you're low on Chakra. Rinse and repeat the Ultimate Jutsu spamming and you should have no problems winning the fight while maintaining 90% of your Health bar. Remember, you can use Kakashi as support by pressing the or buttons or you can play as Kakashi by tagging in and out with .

During the fight Kakkou will be doing QTEs against you. So be careful and be sure to do them as instructed, such as using the button to either go left or right and then press to knock him back. Afterwards, finish the Interactive Actions that follows:

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • to have Kakashi attack Kakkou
    • during the blade clashing
    • to have Kakashi block the blade
    • to have Kakashi jump up in the air
    • to have Kakashi dodge
    • to have Kakashi jump backwards
    • to have Obito dodge the blades
    • and to stop Kappou's attack
    • to perform Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu
    • to have both Kakashi and Obito synchronize their attacks
    • Press when the lines enter the squared shaped symbol that are in the center of the screen.
  • Completed "In Hell" with an S Rank.

    Chapter: Two Unparalleled Warriors

This is an S Rank trophy where you'll need to complete "In Hell" with an S Rank completion. In order to achieve an S Rank you must complete the battle with the following:

    1. 90% or higher Health
    2. 100% Secret Action Completion Ratio
    3. Never used a Continue

This S Rank trophy is broken down into two parts, but both fights are mob battles where all you need to do is simply defeat all the opponents while maintaining 90% of your health. Below, you'll find information and strategy on how to achieve the S Rank.

    Beyond Death

The first battle is Obito vs Guruguru. In this battle, you will be destroying a lot of White Zetsus. The best way to fight the Zetsus is by using your Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu [Chakra Load + ]. It will hit a decent portion of Zetsu clones. When you run out of chakra, just run away where there are no White Zetsus and recharge your Chakra back. Rinse and repeat this process a few times and Guruguru will come down from where he is standing to do a small quiz game. There will be three Gurugurus. Just pick the Guru that doesn't have a cone on his head. Once you defeated Guruguru, the battle will come to an end.

A Beast Roaring in the Tragic Rain

The second battle is Obito (Berserk) fighting a lot of Mist Ninjas. As said before, this is just another mob battle. This time, the best way to fight is just to keep using your melee combo attacks. Your jutsu isn't as good for this mob battle. Whenever you see a prompt appear over an enemy's head, do it. It will finish them off and keep them down. Doing so, will also give you a Secret Action to do as part of the level. There will also be more than that, as there will be a few more commands throughout the fight. There are no Interactive Actions Sequence where you need the Stars to get the S rank, so you can take your time as long as you're maintaining 90% or higher health. Doing each prompted QTE here will net you a Secret Action. You must get the Secret Action four times in order to achieve the S Rank to the mission:

    Secret Action Sequence

    1. Proceed to the upper area where Rin's corpse is located at (Kakashi is there too, but unconscious), press and when the Mist Ninja attack Obito.
    2. To trigger the 2nd Secret Action, just get closer to Rin's corpse and Obito will become even more berserk.
    3. Defeat some more Mist Ninjas until you see the prompted above their body. Get close to them and press to kill them and some surrounding Mist Ninjas.
    4. To trigger the 4th and final Secret Action, head to the upper left-hand corner of Rin's corpse on the screen and press + . You'll be attacked by Mist Ninjas again, but Obito will use a Wood Style Jutsu to kill them.

Afterwards, just keep fighting and doing the QTE (s) until the fight is over.

    Hidden Leaf Assault

This is a single standard fight between The Masked Man and Minato. You're unable to use Ultimate Jutsus either, but Minato has a standard Health bar just like you do. Masked Man's Ninjutsu isn't all that great unless you get an opening to dash right by Minato in close range. So the best way to fight Minato, is to do the Chakra Dash combo spamming. Rush into Minato with [Chakra Load + ] and then keep comboing him with . When your combo is almost done, repeat again and you can keep him in a chain of combos. Normally when he substitutes, you have a little bit of time to Chakra Dash right back into him, so he won't have the upper hand. There will probably only be one thing that could screw everything up. That is Minato randomly using a Rasengan, so watch out! If you get hit by it, you have to restart the battle. Additionally, you can use Ninja Tools you have equipped such as the Bomb Ball [] which can be used to throw a ball that explodes dealing small damage. You can also reduce Minato's DEF for a short period of time if you manage to hit him with the Defense Breaking Tag [].

This fight is much easier as you can spam Kakashi's Ultimate Jutsu technique Lighting Blade: Speed [ ] and recharge your Chakra by holding when you're low on Chakra. 3. Never used a Continue

This S Rank trophy is a Boss Battle that is found under the "The allied Ninja Forces Jutsu" Episode Chapter. Below, you'll find information and strategy on how to achieve the S Rank.

The Allied Ninja Forces Jutsu ~ Part 1

This is one of the hardest S Rank battles that you'll be doing and it's Kurama and Gyuki vs Ten Tails. Thankfully, there are two different phases to this fight in an odd way. In the first part you'll need to destroy the eyes on the Ten Tail's body and maintain over 90% of your Health. Whatever Health bar meter you have from the first part of the fight will end up carrying over to the second part, so if you mess up on the second part of this battle you can just press and "Retry". This will bring you right back to the start of second part with the same Health you had started out with.

During this battle, you can only be in control of Kurama while Gyuki is only for support attacks with or . Kurama's attacks shoot out towards the lock-on targets. By moving the button, you can switch lock-on targets. Keep on shooting with the button and switching targets to destroy the Ten Tail's eyes. Additionally, you can launch a Tailed Beast Bomb [Chakra Load + ] to damage several targets with a single strike. You can also hold down the while performing the Tailed Beast Bomb to increase the number of lock-on targets that you can target. While fighting the Ten Tails be sure to keep on moving in one direction such as continuously going either left or right. This will help you dodge the Ten Tails' attacks while you're damaging him. If you running out of Chakra from shooting too much, remember to recharge your Chakra back up again by holding . Eventually, the Ten Tails will take too much damage where you can run up to him and use Kurama's Claw Attack combo [ ] to deal massive damage. If the Ten Tails swipes his arm across the battlefield you can dodge it if you press the , sometimes you can simply jump over it with , however, you usually get hit if you just jump the arm with . Pressing the is more suitable in this case. After defeating the Ten Tails, you'll move onto the second part which is Kurama running away from the Ten Tails. If you're not 90% or higher in Health before starting this part. You need to redo Part 1 of the fight over again and I recommend you do it perfectly, so you'll have room for error on Part 2.

The Allied Ninja Forces Jutsu ~ Part 2

This is part 2, but the exact same battle. Your Health bar from the first part carries over with you to this battle. So if you had over 90% from the first part, then you're good to go. However, if you're like at 90-93% and you get hit here, you might find this frustrating. That is why it is recommended that you do Part One perfectly before tackling the second part. During the chase scene, you're not fighting the Ten Tails exactly. Instead, you're running away from him until the Allied Ninja Forces come to Naruto's aid. All you can do is dodge the Ten Tails' attacks. The best thing you can do is try sticking with the a certain path (left, middle, or right paths) and watching where the Ten Tails will make his strikes. If you see him about to attack in your direction, go to the safest area of either the left, middle. or right sides. It is all random as the attack patterns aren't always the same. This will become much easier while you're attempting the S rank and if you do fail and fall below 90% Health. Quickly press and "Retry" to restart the battle again back to the start of the chase scene. Additionally, you can press the button to jump and dodge a few incoming attacks. Eventually, after making it to the end of the chase you'll need to finish the Interactive Actions that follows:

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • to rejoin Gyuki
    • to prepare the assault together
    • Mash repeatedly to open the Ten Tails' month
    • to charge Tailed Beast Bombs
    • Mash repeatedly to fire multiple Tailed Beast Bombs into the Ten Tails' month
    • Mash repeatedly to continue the Tailed Beast Bombardment
    • to have Naruto prepare a Jutsu
    • to perform Earth Style: Vast Mobile Core
    • to perform a Lava/Water/Fire Style Jutsu
    • to charge at the Ten Tails with everyone
    • to perform the Allied Shinobi Forces Technique
    • to counterattack the Ten Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb
    • Mash repeatedly to clash with the Ten Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb

Whatever Health bar meter you have from the first part of the fight will end up carrying over to the second part, so if you mess up on the second part of this battle you can just press and "Retry". This will bring you right back to the start of second part with the same Health you had started out with. You'll be fighting a huge army of Ten Tails Clones and the best thing to do is to rush to the end (by jumping with ) and try to avoid these Ten Tail Clones. Once you've reached the end, you will have to fight a Giant Ten Tails Clone. The best way to fight him is to spam your Toad Blade Tri Cut [Chakra Load + ]. This uses up a lot of chakra, so try to use one of your supports to hold off the enemy while you recharge your Chakra back up. Rinse and repeat this until he is defeated. Afterwards, complete the Interactive Actions that follows:

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • to make Gamakichi Jump
    • to make Gamakichi Jump onto the Ten Tails

    Team 7 United ~ Part 2

This is part 2, but the exact same battle. Your Health bar from the first part carries over with you to this battle. So if you had over 90% from the first part, then you're good to go. However, if you're like at 90-93% and you get hit here, you might find this frustrating. This is why it is recommended that you do Part One perfectly before tackling the second part. If you do get hit, quickly press and "Retry" to restart the battle again back to the start of the running sequence. After you hop onto the Ten Tails, just avoid incoming fire from it. This will be a running section. You have to also switch tails once in awhile, as you will otherwise fall off of the Ten Tails. You can see if a fireball is coming at you, as the tail around where you are standing will start to turn red. That means you have to move out of the way and go to another tail to avoid it. Once you reach the end, you'll need to finish the Interactive Actions that follows:

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • to jump after Ten Tails fires its beam
    • for Sakura and Sasuke's help

This is another hard S Rank battle and it's Naruto and Sasuke vs Obito while in Awakening forms. Thankfully, there are two different phases to this fight in a odd way. In the first part you'll need to do your absolute best to try and dodge every single attack that Obito throws out at you while maintaining over 90% of your Health. Whatever Health bar meter you have from the first part of this fight will end up carrying over to the second part, so if you mess up on the second part of this battle you can just press and "Retry". This will bring you right back to the start of second part with the same Health you had started out with.

Now, the best way to deal with Obito is to run around the battlefield and shoot at Obito with while controlling Naruto. Use Sasuke only as support for this battle with or . Eventually, you'll see Obito get stuck on the ground with his attacks, this is a good opportunity for you to get in close and use Kurama's Claw Attacks [ ] to deal massive damage, then back off him. Remember to recharge Chakra whenever you're running low to keep on firing at Obito. Keep your distance between him and yourself so you can long range as much as possible. Additionally, you can also use Wind Style: Rasen Shuriken [Chakra Load + ] to deal a good amount of damage from a distance, however, this technique should only be used while you're not vulnerable. Using it at the wrong time will cause you to get hit by Obito because you're leaving yourself wide open for an attack. Remember to use the button to jump away from Obito if you feel like he's too close to you. Jumping away is also a good way to dodge some of Obito's attacks.

On the second phase of this fight, Obito will get more aggressive. He'll start doing a Pyramid like attack that will slam down into the ground (he does this move three times in a row), the third landing will create a huge shockwave. Try to avoid these attack as the ground will light up red on where Obito will land the attack. Do not get in melee range of this technique, instead keep shooting Obito with while using Sasuke every now and then for support attacks. If Obito comes at you with a Scythe like attack you need to dodge his attacks by keeping jumping away from him with . Jumping will enable you to avoid being hit by the Scythes. After dealing enough damage to Obito, do the following Interactive Actions to move onto Part 2. If you're not 90% or higher in Health before starting this part. You need to redo Part 1 of the fight over again and I recommend you do it perfectly, so you'll have room for error on Part 2.

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • so Naruto and Sasuke will merge their powers to create Kurama's Majestic Attire: Susano'o armor

Ninja Dreams, Lonely Dreams ~ Part 2

This is part 2, but the exact same battle. Your Health bar from the first part carries over with you to this battle. So if you had over 90% from the first part, then you're good to go. However, if you're like at 90-93% and you get hit here, you might find this frustrating. That is why it is recommended that you do part one perfectly before tackling the second part. Thankfully, this fight is similar to how you needed to dodge in the first battle. It's recommended that you do the exact same thing of running around on the battlefield while shooting at Obito with . Additionally, you can now use Inferno Style: Rasen Shuriken [Chakra Load + ] to deal some decent amount of damage to Obito, however, it's best to use the move whenever you're not vulnerable to an attack. Using this technique will leave you wide open to Obito's attacks. Whenever you see Obito get stuck in the ground from attack, get up close and personal to use Majestic Attire: Shockwave [ ] to deal massive damage. The last thing to lookout for is when Obito does his Beam like attacks, these are easily dodgeable if you're constantly running. When he does the spinning beam attack though, you need to jump over the beams. While you're jumping don't stop shooting at Obito with because you can still inflict damage towards him while you're focusing on dodging the beams at the same time. After taking Obito's Health bar down to roughly 40%, you'll need to finish the Interactive Actions that follows:

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • Mash repeatedly to clash with Obito's attack
    • to jump towards Obito
    • Mash repeatedly to clash with Obito's Sword of Nunoboko
    • Press when the lines enter the squared shaped symbol that in the center of the screen.

    "Obito Uchiha"

This is the final part of the battle and it's a Free Battle. This is a single battle of Naruto vs Obito, however, you're still unable to use Ultimate Jutsu and Obito has a much higher Health bar than you do. The best method is to use Chakra Dash [Chakra Load + ], and then combo with the basic combo, but before you finish the combo follow up with another Chakra Dash to keep the combo spamming going. Recharge your Chakra back up whenever you knock your opponent back. Additionally, you can also abuse Naruto's Rasengan [Chakra Load + ] to deal some damage as well as gain some distance between you and Obito due to the Rasengan's knockback abilities. Furthermore, you can perform the Massive Rasengan [Chakra Load + hold ] as this technique will end up dealing massive damage to Obito if you manage to hit him with it.

The best method is to use Chakra Dash [Chakra Load + ], and then combo with the basic combo, but before you finish the combo follow up with another Chakra Dash to keep the combo spamming going. Recharge your Chakra back up whenever you knock your opponent back. Additionally, you can also Crimson Lotus Lightning Flame Jutsu [Chakra Load + ] to deal some mid-range damage to Madara. Remember, you can use Kakashi as support by pressing the or buttons. Every now and then, Madara will attack you in a QTE sequence where you can dodge by going either left or right with and then attack Madara when prompted by pressing the button. Recharge your Chakra back up whenever you knock your opponent back. It's also recommended that you block with and wait for the right moment to Chakra Dash. Then string the Chakra Dash combos until you run out of chakra and when you finish the combo you'll push Madara to the other side of the field. Recharge your chakra then block while waiting for him to come to you again. Rinse and repeat until you get lucky and defeat him. Furthermore, don't bother using Guy's Ultimate Jutsu Hirudora [ ] because it's terrible and hardly never connects. Madara's DEF stats is also too high, so the damage from the Ultimate won't be doing that much damage anyway even if you did landed it. You can however use Guy's signature move Dynamic Entry [Chakra Load + ] as this will home in at Madara. Dynamic Entry also has knockback abilities which buys you sometime to recharge Chakra for Chakra Dash combos. This might take you multiple tries until you managed to defeat Madara with over 90% of your Health, but don't give up and keep trying.

    The Eight Inner Gates Formation

This is the final part of the battle of Guy vs Madara, and Guy is in his Eight Gates Awakening State (Gate of Death). This battle is way easier than the previous battle, even though Madara still has a much higher Health bar than you do. This battle is pretty straightforward, and you can do a lot of damage. Chakra Dash into Madara [Chakra Load + ] and combo him. He will wrap himself into a shell throughout the fight every now and then, but this is easily breakable with Guy's Dynamic Entry [Chakra Load + ]. This will not only break Madara’s shell, but also stun him, and most of the time knock him back across the battlefield. While he is stunned, recharge your Chakra back up and just repeat the previous step. After you get Madara down to a third of his yellow Health bar, he'll try and use a special attack. Just simply move left, right, and left with as the QTE tells you to do. Eventually, Madara will sustain too much damage and an Interactive Action Sequence will follow:

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • to charge up Guy’s Chakra
    • to build up attack

Also, stay out of Madara's Sage Art: Yin Release Lightning Dispatch whenever he releases this technique as indicated by the red lines on the ground. Furthermore, Madara will do his Limbo: Border Jail Jutsu, which will cause him to charge at you with a lightning cable that looks similar to Kakashi's Lightning Cable technique. The best way to dodge this is by using a well timed Substitution Jutsu with (you can also jump over it with ). After dealing enough damage to Madara, do the following Interactive Actions that follows:

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • to charge Naruto and Sasuke's Jutsus

    3. Never used a Continue

This S Rank trophy is broken down into two parts, but they're all Boss Battles. Below, you'll find information and strategy on how to achieve the S Rank.

The Dreams of Two Unparalleled Warriors Come True

This is the final S Rank trophy in the game and it's Naruto vs Sasuke, and Sasuke has a much higher Health bar than you. There are two ways to go about defeating Sasuke for this S Rank. The best recommended way is to keep your distance from Sasuke at all times while spamming Naruto's Tailed Beast Bomb Rasen Shuriken [Chakra Load + ]. This will deal excellent damage towards Sasuke. Just recharge your Chakra back up and keep spamming the Ninjutsu over and over again. The other way to defeat Sasuke is use Chakra Dash [Chakra Load + ], and then combo with the basic combo, but before you finish the combo follow up with another Chakra Dash to keep the combo spamming going. After ending the combo you will knockback Sasuke across the field. This gives you enough time to recharge some Chakra to repeat the process all over again. Things, to watch out for is Sasuke grab. If he does the grab combo on you, it's best to press "Retry" because that move will reduce you down below the 90% requirement. Then there is Sasuke wall climbing, he will fire Fireball Jutsus at Naruto, these can be dodged if you're out of the red circles as indicated on the water. Eventually, Sasuke will sustain too much damage and an Interactive Action Sequence will follow:

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • to have Naruto enter a Tailed Beast Mode of the Nine-Tails
    • to have Naruto prepare to punch Sasuke
    • to counterattack
    • to clash
    • to block with Kurama's tail
    • to create a giant three-faced, six-armed, battle avatar of Kurama
    • to prepare to clash with Sasuke's Complete Body Susano'o enhanced with the Tailed Beasts' Chakra
    • Press when the lines enter the squared shaped symbol that in the center of the screen
    • Mash repeatedly to have Naruto's attack clashing with Sasuke's

    The "Final" Battle

This is the "final" battle of Naruto vs Sasuke, however, you're unable to use Ultimate Jutsu and Sasuke has a much higher Health bar than you do. There is two ways to go about winning this fight. The first and number one recommended way is to spam Naruto's signature Rasengan [Chakra Load + ] to deal some damage as well as gain some distance between you and Sasuke due to the Rasengan's knockback abilities. Furthermore, you can perform the Giant Rasengan [Chakra Load + hold ] as this technique will end up dealing massive damage to Sasuke if you manage to hit him with it. The other method to defeat Sasuke is to use Chakra Dash [Chakra Load + ], and then combo with the basic combo, but before you finish the combo follow up with another Chakra Dash to keep the combo spamming going. After ending the combo you will knockback Sasuke across the field. This gives you enough time to recharge some Chakra to repeat the process all over again.

Since this is the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke, there are some new features added in this battle. During the fight, you'll be reliving flashbacks of both Naruto and Sasuke's childhood. During these fights, you'll notice that you're unable to hurt Sasuke anymore that is because a new Secret Action will soon trigger after all the dialogue is over from Naruto/Sasuke narration of the past. During this time, it's best to keep your distance or use Rasengan to knockback Sasuke while you're stalling for the Secret Action to trigger. Keep in mind to use your Substitution Jutsu [] wisely and not to waste them. Furthermore, when you're Naruto cloaked in Nine-Tails Chakra, it's best to spam Naruto's Vermillion Rasengan [Chakra Load + ]. Last of all, when you're in the Ninja Academy, don't attempt to fight Sasuke! Sasuke was the superior one between Naruto and Sasuke back in those days, so you'll be unable to hurt/hit Sasuke. It's best to keep your distance and to keep running or jumping away from Sasuke during the Ninja Academy. Doing so will still cause the next Secret Action to trigger. The damage you take from Naruto and Sasuke punching each other won't count against your 90% Health bar because that is story related. There are a total of nine Secret Actions throughout this battle. Below is a list of all the Secret Actions:

    Secret Action Sequence

    1. Naruto and Sasuke will automatically clash Rasengan and Chidori to trigger this.
    2. Press to have Naruto's Rasengan clash with Sasuke's Chidori and then mash repeatedly to trigger a flashback of the original Valley of the End battle.
    3. Press to have Naruto and Sasuke both punch each other in the face and have a flashback to the Ninja Academy.

This can only be done in Adventure Mode and by selecting "Trail of the Gale." In Adventure Mode, you can explore the Naruto world as Naruto. While exploring you can collect items, complete story event missions, fight or help others out with favors and tasks. Adventure Mode has two type of events/quests and both of these are related towards a trophy unlocking:

    • Main Events: These are the Main Events that you need to complete in order to unlock Trail of the Gale Expert. They are all marked with a Red Scroll Bubble Icon that appear over characters heads during Adventure Mode. There is a total of 6 Main Events that need to be completed and these can be tracked by pressing the or button to bring up the Event Information.
    • Side Quests: These are Side Quests, also know as Sub Events that aren't story driven. They do need to be completed in order to unlock Trail of the Gale Master. These are all marked with a Blue Scroll Bubble Icon that appear over characters heads during Adventure Mode. There is a total of 10 Side Quests that need to be completed and these can be tracked by pressing the or button to bring up the Event Information.

As you're playing through Adventure Mode, focus on completing the Main Events while accepting Side Quest as you see them become available to you. Some tasks you can do together just by playing through Adventure Mode. The Main Events of the mode will follow the adventure of Naruto, Hinata and Sakura as they travel around the Ninja World. This is done by using the World Map to go to different locations. While on the World Map, you'll be able to see which location has a Main Event or a Side Quest due to their locations being marked with either a Red or Blue Flag. Upon completing these events, you'll gain Ryo, Ninja items that you can use to exchange for items in the Bandai Store etc. It should be noted that you're required to complete some fights during these travels. Some of these fights are Memory Fragments. You aren't required to complete all Memory Fragments for the trophy as they're optional, but you do, however, need to collect them by picking them up for a Side Quests later on.

The following is all the Main Events in "Trail of the Gale":

    1. Departure: Speak with Kakashi in order to get this mission. Your goal is to deliver a personal letter to Hidden Sand Village, so head to the Hidden Leaf Gate and travel to the Village Hidden in the Sand.
    2. Naruto Uzumaki's Personal Letter Delivery: After meeting the Kazekage Gaara and delivering the letter, Naruto and his friends will remember their ties to the Hidden Sand. The Hidden Leaf and Hidden Sand used to be enemies, but now they're allies.
    3. A Job for Sakura?: After finishing the mission at the Hidden Sand, and preparing to go home, Sakura said she suddenly remembered she had something to do. Without any choice in the matter, Naruto heads to the Land of Waves. There, you'll discover Sakura told a lie and Naruto and Hinata had followed her to the Land of Waves. Naruto will remember his battle with Zabuza and Haku, as he feels both of their wills deep within his heart.
    4. The Search for Tsunade: When returning to the Village of the Hidden Leaf, Naruto went to the Village Hidden in the Cloud in order to get Tsunade to come back to the Hidden Leaf. After heading to Hidden Cloud Village, Naruto's group reunites with Tsunade, who starts to remember the first time she met Naruto.
    5. Memories of the Final Valley: After finding Tsunade, Naruto headed to the Final Valley, a land filled with Memories of Sasuke. When you arrive at the devastated Final Valley, Naruto remembers Sasuke. The memories in his heart bring him both joy and pain, and makes him stronger. This causes Hinata to gently smile...
    6. Dancing Wind: The trio's meandering journey came to an end, and with hardened determination and new hopes for the future, they move to return to Hidden Leaf Village.
  • Completed all the sub events in "Trail of the Gale."

As mentioned in Trail of the Gale Expert, this trophy is related towards completing all the Side Quests in "Trail of the Gale." This can only be done in Adventure Mode. Some of these Side Quests you might have already completed just by playing through the Main Events. There will be a few that you need to go back and complete because new Side Quests become available as you finished the Main Events.

The following is all the Side Quests in "Trail of the Gale":

    1. Hot-Blooded Network [Client - Guy, on the bridge]: Complete the "Hot-Blooded Sparring" at all 10 locations and then report back to Guy. The locations of the Hot-Blooded Comrades is also listed on the Hot-Blooded Comrade Location Note item. If you set the the Event Navigation to [Hot-Blooded Network], the locations of the Hot-Blooded Comrades will appear on the map, represented by a Blue Flag. Additionally, the Hot-Blooded Comrades will get stronger depending on the Level you face. For example, they will get +10% ATK and DEF increase for their current Level. Completing these different tasks will earn you rewards. However, you only need to complete any 15 out of the 50 to complete the Side Quest. When you finished the 15th one, return back to Ebisu and talk to him to finish the quest.
    3. A Journey to Collect Memories [Client - Killer Bee, Left Village Residential Area]: Killer Bee is using various memories as inspiration for his new rap. Collect all the Memory Fragments hidden around the World Map and report back to Killer Bee. If you have this event you'll be able to see the Memory Fragments on the World Map, so they're easy to find. You don't need to fight or complete the mission inside the Memory Fragments once you picked them up. All you need to do is obtain them all, so there is no need to do fighting. There's a total of 54 Memory Fragments altogether and once you obtained the last one. Report back to Killer Bee and he'll create new rap.

    5. The Waves of the New Generation [Client - Iruka, Hidden Leaf Park]: Go tell Iruka, who's near the Hidden Leaf Park that you were able to put Konohamaru at ease. This will lead to Naruto to jokingly ask for a sparring match, but surprisingly enough, Iruka is up for it. Simply defeat Iruka to complete this Side Quest.
    6. The Way of a Teacher [Client - Shino, Hidden Leaf Park]: Talk to Shino at the Hidden Leaf Park to find out what his problem is. Help Shino find a new path that will allow him to help people in ways other than simply fighting. This ends up with him getting wrapped up in a search for some Ninja Academy students. In order to find the last student, Mabo, follow Yuki's clue and investigate suspicious spots by completing the game of Hide and Seek. This game is Invisibility Cloak where you'll need to find Mabo's friends hiding in the pots that be moving in the Hidden Leaf Village. The last clue is a code which can be found in the Graveyard by counting the number of graves (64 is the answer).
    7. The Debt Repayment Princess [Client - Tsunade, near Ichiraku]: Tsunade's incurred another debt and asks for Naruto's help. Help Tsunade by paying off her debt. You must then give her some Ninja Treasures items to finish the requirements of this Side Quest. These are the items you get after fighting. When you meet the requirements, return to Tsunade and as a thanks, she'll give Naruto the Five Great Villages Sign Kunai, which can be used to enter the Ninja World Tournament later on in Adventure Mode.
    8. The Ninja World Tournament [Client - Tsunade, Chunin Exam Hall]: By helping Tsunade pay off her debt, kill some time by doing other Side Quests or tasks until a cutscene triggers and Tsunade contacts Naruto again. When this happens head to the Chunin Exam Hall and talk with Tsunade. She'll want Naruto to enter The Ninja World Tournament and clear the easiest rank, Rank D. After beating Rank D with flying colors the Side Quest will be completed.
    9. My Sweet Older Sister [Client - Hanabi, various places]: Someone has been watching Naruto from the shadows (Hanabi), so in order to get them out of hiding in the Hidden Leaf, try talking with them. You'll need to find her three times and then Hanabi will get angry and challenge Naruto to a battle. Defeat her three times in a row to complete this Side Quest.
    10. Angles and Demons [Client - Sai, in front of Amaguriama]: Talk to Sai and you'll need to complete some Memory Battles. After the last battle, the Side Quest will be completed.
  • Got past 30 opponents in Ultimate Survival.

This trophy is for defeating 30 opponents in "Ultimate Survival", which can be found in the Free Battle mode. You'll need to survive 30 fights with one Health bar over these multiple fights. Now, you can do this with either the following Match Settings:

    • Team Match: In this mode, you fight in teams.
    • Single Match: In this mode, you fight one-on-one

In Ultimate Survival, you'll battle under various conditions against randomly selected opponents. There are many stipulations that are on a roulette and this will randomly choose the Battle Conditions every round. It can either help you or be against you. Your Health bar carries over every round, so you don't want to take too much damage. Luckily, there's a "Health Recovery Bonus!" after winning a fight. Depending on how long it takes to finish the fight and the Score Rank of your battle, you'll gain a certain amount of Health back in terms of percentage which is usually around about 40-70% on average.

Choose whatever fighting mode you want; if you're good with Team Matches then pick teams or if you prefer to fight one-on-one against opponents with no team support interfering in the middle of the fight, then pick Single Matches. You'll want to go into Ultimate Survival mode with your best character(s), so choose whoever you're best with. We do recommend that you pick characters that are overall good in terms of range and have powerful Ultimate Jutsu and Ninjutsu techniques. Below are some good examples:

    • Kakashi Hatake (Double Sharingan)
    • Sasuke Uchiha (Five Kage Summit)
    • Kabuto Yakushi (Sage Mode)

    • Deidara ~ A spammable long range character
    • The Second Mizukage ~ Another spammable long range character

These characters all have long range Ultimate Jutsu attacks and their basic Ninjutsu techniques are either close/mid/long range attacks. With these characters you can simply spam Jutsu, just recharge your Chakra whenever you're running low on Chakra. As for the long range spammable characters such as Deidara and The Second Mizukage, these characters require you to use the combo attacks instead of the standard combos. These two characters are annoying to face online as people be spamming long ranged attacks to win. They're both well known as the spammer characters in the Ultimate Ninja series, so if you wish to spam against the AI opponents you can easily win with little to no effort. Once you win your 30th fight, the trophy will unlock and you can either quit or continue fighting to see how far you can go.

If you managed to hit Madara with this jutsu, you will easily unlock this trophy. If not, then the other method to unlock the trophy is to go into Free Battle at the main menu. Then Select "Vs Battle" and put the options on 1P vs COM. At the character selection screen press to change the difficult to "Super Easy". Now select Hinata Hyuga and pick her Ninjutsu called "Protective 8 Trigrams 64 Palms". When the match starts, get close to your opponent and use Hinata's Protective 8 Trigrams 64 Palms [Chakra Load + ] and you'll hit the opponent with a 60-64 hit combo unlocking the trophy.

  • Connected a Counterattack.

A counterattack is done by pressing + at the same time. You can initiate the counterattack any time the opponent charges at you or attacks you. Counterattacks use up 20% of your maximum Chakra to strike back after an opponent attacks you. If successful, your opponent will get blown away! If you struggle to do this, go into Free Battle and change the settings to "Super Easy" or you can easily do this with a second controller to control the opponent yourself. If you choose the last option, just use the Chakra Dash [Chakra Load + ] in order to dash into yourself. After you make the second controller dash, counterattack it with the first controller and the trophy will unlock.

  • Finished off an opponent while Awakened.

When your Health falls below 40% or lower and your Chakra Gauge is at MAX, hold down to Awaken! Awakened state will allow you to transform and become even more powerful. All you have to do for this trophy, is defeat the opponent while you are in Awakened state. Be careful though, since you will return to your normal state after a certain amount of time has elapsed. Plus, when the effects wear off, the player will enter a powered down state for a certain amount of time. Be careful when you decide to Awakening! Additionally, you can still change leader when you're Awakened. Furthermore, it should be noted that there are characters who are in Awaken state automatically in Story Mode. Switching to that character and winning the fight will still unlock the trophy.

  • Finished off an opponent during a Linked Awakening.

This trophy is similar to Forbidden Power Released. A Linked Awakening is when you Awaken along with your supports. You can create a team of up to three characters. Depending on the combination, your team's abilities will change. There will be a yellow/orange bar under your Health. That is your Storm Gauge, the Storm Gauge increases as you take certain actions such as attacking or being attacked. When the gauge gets 50% filled, Support Actions will activate. When it reaches 100%, you'll be able to use Linked Secret Techniques and Linked Awakenings. In order to Awaken though, your Health needs to fall below 40% or lower and your Chakra Gauge is at MAX, hold down to Awaken while your Storm Gauge is at 100%. Linked Awakening state will allow you and your support to transform and become even more powerful. All you have to do for this trophy, is defeat the opponent while you are in Linked Awakening state. Be careful though, since you will return to your normal state after a certain amount of time has elapsed. Plus, when the Awakening wears off, the same will happen for the rest of your team, so be careful when you decided to Awakening! Additionally, you can still change leader when you're in Linked Awakening.

  • Landed a hit with each team member's Secret Technique in one battle.

This trophy is for having each member of your team hit an opponent with their Secret Technique [ ] in one battle. You can create a team up to three members. After hitting an opponent with a Secret Technique, move the to the left or right to make one of your supports change into the new leader during a battle. Doing this will use up 50% of your Support Gauge. Afterwards, continue hitting the opponent with the new leader's Secret Technique. This can be done with either teams of two members or teams of three members.

  • Won a battle without suffering any costume damage.

Costume Damage is when you take a certain amount of damage during battle, your costume will become damaged or tarnished. In this state, you take more damage, but your attack power is also increases a little. To unlock the trophy simply win a battle without an "Armor Break!" occurring to your player. However, it should be noted that this trophy will naturally unlock for you just by playing the through the game, such as getting or going for S Rank trophies from the Story Mode.

  • Won a 3 round battle without losing a single round.

This is a round style trophy, where battles are split up into rounds, and whoever wins the most rounds is determined the victor. When rounds carry over, the losing player (or both when there is a draw) get their Health refilled to max. Both players' Substitution Gauges are also refilled to max, and Storm Gauges are reset to zero. To unlock the trophy, you simply need to win a 3 round battle without losing a single round. This can be done offline against the COM or you can even obtain the trophy during online battles. To make things much easier, you can simply go into Free Battle, set the rounds to 3, and then change the difficulty to "Super Easy."

  • Changed leader during a combo.

This trophy is for changing leaders during a combo. This can only be done if you have a team. You can create a team up to three members. While battling with an opponent, move the to the left or right to make one of your supports change into the new leader during a battle. If you change leaders during a combo, you can continue attacking as you make the switch just by continuing to press the combo button of during combos. Do this will unlock the trophy during the middle of your combo due to changing leaders during a combo attack.

DLC: Road to Boruto

3 trophies

  • You completed all of the Boruto's Tale main events.

Boruto's Tale is similar to the Adventure Mode of "Trail of the Gale." In the Boruto's Tale game mode, you can explore the Naruto world as Boruto. While exploring, you can collect items, complete story Main Event missions, fight, or help others out with favors and tasks. Adventure Mode has two types of events/quests and both of these are related towards trophies.

    • Main Events: These are the Main Events that you need to complete in order to unlock Boruto's Tale Expert. They are all marked with a Red Scroll Event Icon and you can see their locations on the Village Hidden in the Leaves Map. The map is very useful in this mode as you can use it to teleport to points which are close to the Main Event's location. There is a total of 14 Main Events that need to be completed and these can be tracked by pressing the + or and select "Main Event Info".
    • Side Quests: These are Side Quests, also known as Sub Events that aren't story driven. They do need to be completed in order to unlock Boruto's Tale Master. These are all marked with a Blue Scroll Bubble Icon that appears over characters' heads during the Boruto's Tale game mode. There is a total of 10 Side Quests that need to be completed, and these can be tracked by pressing the or and select "Sub-event Details".

As you're playing through Boruto's Tale, focus on completing the Main Events while accepting Side Quest as you see them become available to you. Some tasks you can do together just by playing. The Main Events of the mode will follow the adventure of Boruto as you relive the events that happened in Boruto: The Naruto Movie. This is done by using the Villiage Hidden in the Leaves Map to go to different teleport point locations. While on the Map, you'll be able to see the locations of the current Main Event or a Side Quest due to their locations being marked with either a Red or Blue Flag. Upon completing these events, you'll gain Ryo, Ninja items that you can use to exchange for items in the Bandai Store etc. It should be noted that you're required to S Rank all these fights during the Main Events battles (see Boruto's Tale - All S Ranks).

Some of these Side Quests you might have already completed just by playing through the Main Events. There will be a few that you need to go back and complete, as new Side Quests become available as you finished the Main Events.

The following is all the Side Quests in Boruto's Tale:

    1. Boruto's Ten Tasks [Client - Konohamaru, on the street in front of the Uzumaki Residence]: The task list makes a return, but it's reduced down to 10 tasks. These are very easy to complete and you'll need to help 10 people in the Hidden Leaf Village, Complete all VR Facility Rank Battles, Complete at least 5 Side Quests, Complete at least 10 Sudden Events and finally defeat Konohamaru in a spar. The spar fight against Konohamaru only happens once you've completed 9 out of 10 tasks. Everything else is very easy to do, but the Sudden Event battles are time-consuming. Thankfully, there is a way to trigger these much quicker. Use your map and keep teleporting to the Leaf Square (VR Facility Foyer) and a Sub Event might spawn. These will usually be trivia questions in the form of True or False. Sometimes you'll get a Battle if Lee spawns. In the video below I demonstrate this method:
    2. The Leaf Village Girls' Club: Truths Revealed [Client - Amaguriama Clerk, at the Amaguriama Shop]: This is a small story where Boruto will learn a little more about his dad and his reputation. You will undergo some battles of training against Team Asuma.

The difficulty of each battle varies by Rank, and at first, you'll only have access to the lowest Ranks. Completing each rank (D, C, B, A, and S) will unlock higher Ranks. It should be noted that some Ranks wouldn't unlock until you get to certain points in the story. There is a total of 43 fights. You don't have to S Rank them.
    4. Rebuilding the Exam Hall [Client - Lee, on the street in front of the Uzumaki Residence]: This is small battle where you'll fight Guy, after defeating Guy in battle. Kakashi and Guy will join Lee in the exam hall to help with repairs. Once the repairs are completed, Lee will contact you again for another Side Quest event.
    5. Caught up in Another Exam [Client - Shino, in Leaf Square]: This is another Exam in which you need to answer all the questions correctly. The Questions & Answers are listed below:

        • Black Zetsu
      10. Which Kage has been in power from the end of the Fourth Great Ninja War until now?
        • The Fifth Kazekage
    6. The Flag Test Again [Client - Tenten, at the Hidden Leaf Gate]: This is another Flag Test similar to the one you did in the Main Event story. The only difference is that you need to collect 300 Flags within the time limit.
    7. The Uchiha Couple [Client - Sakura, at the Hidden Lead Forest]: This is a small event scene between Sarada and her mom, Sakura. In the Main Event, there was a sparring battle between Sarada and Sasuke. This is the same only it's a spar between Sarada and Sakura. Win the battle to complete this Side Quest.

You can follow the clues given to you to find her by heading to the Hokage Estate, talking to a merchant at the front gates, and finally heading to the graveyard.
  • You completed all of the Boruto's Tale main event battles with an S rank.

In order to achieve an S Rank you must complete the battle with the following:

    • 90% or higher Health
    • 90% or higher IA Completion Ratio
    • Never used a Continue

All the S Ranks battles in Boruto's Tale are easy. There are 14 fights in the Main Event that you need to S Rank. As mentioned in the Roadmap, you can spam Ultimate Jutsu and even use Ninja Tools to help recover some Health Bar. This makes keeping a 90% or higher in Health extremely easy. The only fight that might give a few players trouble is the Boss Battle of Naruto & Sasuke vs Saruiwa (Monkey Rock). It's a simple fight if you take your time and long range the entire battle. This is the only S Rank that I'll explain in detail on how to achieve the S Rank. If you still need to S Rank the other fights, you're free to replay chapters and battles that you've already completed. In order to replay something, select Episodes, then the Chapter that you want to replay.

Below, you'll find information and strategy on how to achieve the S Rank during the Naruto & Sasuke vs Saruiwa (Monkey Rock).

    Dancing in Another Dimension:

The key to achieving the S Rank is to stay away from Saruiwa as much as possible. You want to use the Ninjutsu attack [Chakra Load + hold ] for the majority of your damage during this battle (you can also use to shoot at him but this is weak damage). When you land the Susano'o Sword don't take the risk of combing the button. Sometimes you can inflict additional damage if you do melee Saruiwa right after the Susano'o Sword Ninjutsu, but sometimes Saruiwa isn't staggered and will get up to damage you. Due to that reason, it's best to use to dodge backward so you distance yourself from him and recharge your Chakra back up. Dodging is the key to achieving the S Rank as well since Saruiwa has a basic 3-hit combo. This 3-hit combo is very easy to dodge if you're using the to distance yourself. Wait for him to become vulnerable and throw the Susano'o Sword at him again. It should be noted that Saruiwa will throw Lava Boulders at you, these can be dodged with as well or you can throw the Susano'o Sword and if it landed, you'll be immune to any damage from these Boulders.

Repeat until you trigger a brief scene where Saruiwa will become more aggressive. Keep doing the Susano'o Sword spamming and eventually, you need to dodge a Fire Bird with and you'll stun Saruiwa. While he's stunned, rush him and combo with as prompted to inflict heavy damage. Now repeat the Susano'o Sword spamming, but be mindful that Saruiwa now has the ability to go underground. He'll either appear underneath your feet in the form of Lava or much further away from you. If he's underneath you, simply move out of the Lava with . Getting hit by this attack will take you below the 90% Health requirement (press and "Retry" if you're hit). When he teleports further away from you, he's trying to throw a Lava Ball at you. This can be stopped if you throw your Susano'o Sword at him.

As the fight draws near an end, you'll be incapacitated:

    • Mash to break free from the bonds and counterattack
    • to throw the Susano'o Sword at him and break his arm

After breaking his arm, quickly throw your Susano'o Sword at him once again only this time combo him with the Blade of Violet Flames: Rasen Slash [ ]. This will be enough to finish him off and you'll need to finish the Interactive Actions that follows:

    Interactive Actions Sequence

    • to dodge and counterattack to finish off the Boss Battle
