Introduction

MotoGP returns with another watered-down edition of a fully-fledged annual title. As per the previous ‘compact’ game, you’re set for an extremely simple, easy and quick ride to 100% completion. Given the experience is so brief, the game’s price tag could be deemed very steep if you’re only going for trophies, so you may want to take this into consideration if you’re choosing between the compact or main-game version.

Walkthrough

Step One - Custom Championship

You’ll unlock the majority of the game’s trophies in this step. Simply set up a 10-race championship via the main menu and include the following tracks: Jerez, Le Mans, Catalunya, Sachsenring, Brno, Silverstone, Sepang, Motegi, Mugello and Termas de Río Hondo. Feel free to use any of the riders, and to also use any of the riding assists that you wish. As for the race options, I’d recommend the following:

Length: 15%
Race Session: Only Race
AI Difficulty: Easy
Bike Damage: Light
Tyre Wear: On
Technical Problems: None
Penalty Timer: Off
Disciplinary Flags: Off

By choosing the above Bike Damage and Tyre Wear options, you’re eligible to earn the Make no mistake… trophy during this step. You’ll no doubt breeze your way through each race, taking the victories with ease, along with a trophy for completing each and every track. Varooom! will come naturally during this step, and you should also make sure to go for The personal touch before any of the 10 races. As ever, please refer to the trophy guide below for more information.

Step Two - Remaining Mode-Specific Trophies

This step will be short and sweet, the hardest part being finding someone to actually race online with! You simply need to complete one race online for Hello World! and venture into Time Attack mode to acquire Tick tock tick tock....

Given the online portion of the game is so quiet, you'll likely need to boost Hello World!. Please refer to the following thread to find a boosting partner:

  • Win a race with tire wear active and damage active, in any game mode

Possibly Glitched (in a good way!)

Whilst composing this trophy guide, I tested to confirm whether you could retire from a race and still unlock the various track-specific trophies - you can't... however, I did stumble upon a glitch pertaining to this specific trophy as a result. During my test, I had the requirements in place:

    Bike Damage: Light or Heavy
    Tyre Wear: On

I proceeded to start a race then instantly retired; to my surprise this trophy unlocked without me taking part, let alone winning it.

Thankfully, without the glitch, the requirements for this trophy are still a complete breeze. If playing against Easy AI in a 3-lap race, you shouldn't encounter any issues. In virtually all races, you can start at the back of the grid and overtake all the AI competitors after a few corners of the first lap. Tyre wear is negligible over 3 laps, and providing you don't ram into everybody, you won't receive any damage at all. Just take it easy and make your way to the front of the pack, utilising your rewinds if necessary ().
