Welcome to Moonlighter. You play as Will, a merchant by day and adventurer by night. You own a shop in Rynoka village called Moonlighter that you obtained from your late Grandfather.

This game has a feel of the old school Zelda to it. You will visit dungeons, and pick up the loot the enemies drop, bring it back to your shop and sell it or use the materials to craft weapons or armor to help in dungeons to progress further along to gain more loot.

Glitched Trophies
The devs are aware of the glitched trophies for this game, and are currently working on them. I suggest waiting for a patch to be released that fixes all the glitched trophies in the game, so you won't have to grind it all out in one sitting (looking at you 10,000 kills). If you don't want to wait for a fix, then instead of exiting out of the game and turning off your PS4, put it in rest mode if you wish to take a break or need to stop so you will not reset the counter.

Step 1: Sell, Slay, Upgrade, Repeat

Here you will want to work towards all the trophies besides the trophy Gotta Go fast!. There are quite a few glitched trophies in here, most of which are the kill related trophies and reaching the 3rd floor of the dungeons. This will take up a lot of your time getting these to unlock.

While going through the first playthrough, it is suggested to do the trophies for beating the bosses without getting hit as you will want to take your time with these bosses, instead of trying to rush through them. Besides any boss related trophies, you can obtain them after you beat the game as well. Everything is still available to you besides the bosses and the 5th dungeon.

You can attempt to do the speed run trophy along with this on your first run, but doing the bosses perfectly along with getting the last hit with a broom can be a pain and should be saved separately.

Step 2: Speed Run

You'll want to be able to focus on just the speed run trophy on your second playthrough, so you are not wasting any more time than needed. It would be best to save getting the last hit with the broom on the bosses for this run, as you will not be worried about getting hit for the perfect boss trophies.

Gotta Go fast!

Step 3: Clean Up

If you happened to miss any of the trophies in any of your first playthrough, now is the time to get them, as you can still enter the dungeons after the credits roll. If needed, start another playthrough for any boss related trophies.

67 trophies ( 12  54  15  )

  • 100%

    Complete all achievements

Congratulations! You have earned all the trophies and found balance as an adventurous shopkeeper.

  • Defeat the Golem King

    Story related, cannot be missed.

  • Defeat Energy Flux

  • Read all Crazy Pete's notes.

During your exploration in the dungeons, you'll come across notes in the tent and recovery pool areas. These are notes left behind by Crazy Pete. There are three floors to each dungeon, and each floor has a tent area and a recovery pond to find. Read both notes on all three floors in all four dungeons.

You will also find other notes that are dropped from skeletons lying around. These are not needed for the trophy.

  • Beat the game in under 10 hours

    **Missable**

This should not be difficult if you are just focusing on this trophy alone. Just make sure to upgrade your weapons and armor that you wish to use as that will of course help with traversing the dungeons. Work your way through the dungeons as quickly as possible. You should be prepared for this if you are saving this trophy for your second run, as you will know what to expect from the enemies and bosses. You should have no issues beating the game under 10 hours.

  • Craft all weapons

There are 9 different weapons to craft in each of the 5 categories. Fortunately, if you get one of the weapons to drop in a dungeon, it will count and you will not need to craft it. You can add items to your wish list, which will then mark the materials required to craft the weapon with a star, so you won't sell it by accident and know to keep it when you pick it up.

If you have already found the materials before, you can purchase them at Le Ratailer, though it is not suggested as he sells things overpriced. Plus, it will benefit you going out to the dungeons and collecting it yourself, as it will add to the kill trophies needed for each dungeon and overall for the 10,000 kills.

  • Craft all short swords.

  • Craft all big swords.

  • Kill all bosses with the broom (last hit)

    **Missable and Glitched**
It seems the counter for this resets when you exit the game and/or does not track properly. The work around is to do this all in one session.

You will need to defeat the bosses of each dungeon with the broom that you start out with. You can damage the bosses with any weapon, as it only needs to die by the broom. So when you get the boss down to a small amount of health, switch out your weapon for the broom and finish off the boss. Be careful though, you cannot obtain another broom, so do NOT sell it.

If you end up killing the boss before you are able to finish it off with the broom, you can exit the game and reload, as it will not autosave until you leave the area.

  • Complete the Notebook

The Notebook is where you keep track of all your materials you have gathered. There are five different sections, four of them are for the dungeons, while the other is a merchant tab, where you it will track weapons sold and other various items.

It will show you how many items are in each category. Find them all to complete the Notebook. You do not need to complete the Merchant tab. You should be able to obtain this naturally as you will end up collecting all the items from the dungeons as you work your way to the boss and also farm each dungeon for your 1,000 kills and then for your 10,000 kills overall.

  • Kill a total of 10,000 enemies

    **Glitched**
It seems the counter for this resets when you exit the game and/or does not track properly. The work around is to do this all in one session.

This will take you awhile, as you will have to actually grind for this trophy as you will not complete this naturally throughout the game. You will at least have 4,000 kills by going for the other kill related trophies, so you will have to continue to grind out the rest of the kills. Unfortunately, there is no tracker to look at for how many kills you currently have.

  • Complete the game with under 40 deaths

There is no tracker for this, so you will have to keep track of your deaths. If you're worried about this trophy, when you die, you can exit out of the game before you select an option to go back to town, or try again, to go back to your last auto save before you died. Make sure you have not died 40 times at the end of the game for the trophy.

To help with this, make sure you always have the latest armor you can get for your area, as that will add to the total of your health. Upgrade your bed, as that will add a shield meter to your health. Keep health potions on you and use the recovery pools whenever you can. Also, you can always use your Merchant Emblem to go back to town, where you will recover all your health and gain back your shield buff.

  • Finish the game

You need to beat the fifth dungeon to finish the game. In order to unlock the fifth dungeon, you must first beat the other four dungeons in order to receive a key each boss drops. Each time you beat a dungeon, the next dungeon will open. Once you have beaten all four dungeons, you will be able to access the final one.

  • Collect more than 5000 gold

    See Greedy.

  • Collect more than 50,000 gold

    See Greedy.

  • Collect more than 100,000 gold

    See Greedy.

  • Collect more than 1,000,000 gold

To earn your gold, you will need to sell the items you collect on your dungeon runs in your shop. You will need to have a total of 1,000,000 gold on you at once for it to count, as it is not cumulative. Pick up everything you can, and sell anything you do not need for upgrades for armor or weapons at the time.

You gain money rather quickly in this game and should have zero issues amassing this fortune. If by the end of the game, you still haven't earned more than a million gold, then farm the tech dungeon and keep selling items until you have reached your goal. You can also do side quests, which garner you a decent chunk of gold. To get side quests, you first must upgrade your shop and then customers will come to you for requests to retrieve certain items.

  • Purchase the second shop upgrade

    See Rynoka's Major!.

  • Purchase the third shop upgrade

    See Rynoka's Major!.

  • Purchase the fourth shop upgrade

    See Rynoka's Major!.

  • Purchase the last shop upgrade

    See Rynoka's Major!.

  • Buy all improvements on the Town Board

The Town Board is located in the middle of the town in the square. You will have two different options available to you, Town and Shop. You will need to fully invest in both. There are five different Town and sixteen Shop upgrades to invest in. Not all are available at the start of the game.

The first four town upgrades will be unlock the during the first dungeon, while the Banker won't unlock until you have completed the second dungeon. The shop expansion upgrades will unlock one after the other, as each dungeon is beaten, while the miscellaneous upgrades for your shop will be unlocked right away.

Here is a list of everything you will need to purchase:

    Town

    • Vulcan's Forge – 500 gold
    • The Wooden Hat – 500 gold
    • Le Ratailer – 5,500 gold

    • Medium Chest – 20,000 gold
    • Big Chest – 70,000 gold
  • Buy more than 10 times on Le Retailer

To unlock Le Retailer, it will cost you 5,500 gold. This retailer sells items that monsters drop in the dungeons, so if you do not wish to hunt for specific items needed to craft something, you can buy it from this shop. Be warned though, the items are overpriced.

You can just buy the same cheap item 10 times for the trophy. I suggest buying a Vine for 9 gold.

  • Arrive at the third floor of the Golem Dungeon 10 times

    **Glitched**
It seems the counter for this resets when you exit the game and/or does not track properly. The work around is to do this all in one session.

You will need to work your way up from the first floor of the dungeon to the third floor. A good indication you are close to moving to the next floor is you will come across a recovery pond. If you want to glitch the mini map and you have the Merchants Emblem, use it and then return to the dungeon, as it will unveil the whole map on your mini map for an easier time. Reach the third floor 10 times for the trophy.

  • Arrive at the third floor of the Forest Dungeon 10 times

    **Glitched**

    See Golem Enthusiast.

  • Arrive at the third floor of the Desert Dungeon 10 times

    **Glitched**

    See Golem Enthusiast.

  • Arrive at the third floor of the Tech Dungeon 10 times

  • Earn money from the Banker 5 times

    **Glitched**
It seems the counter for this resets when you exit the game and/or does not track properly. The work around is to do this all in one session.

You will need to purchase the Banker town upgrade from the bulletin board in the village for 70,000 gold. You will be unable to purchase this town upgrade until you have beat the Forest Dungeon and also have purchased the third shop upgrade.

Once purchased, the Banker will be available during the day. Talk to him and invest any amount of gold. When you return to him on a different day, he will either show you a gain or loss on your investment. When you are shown a gain in your investment, cash out to receive your money you've invested, plus the profit. Do this five times to unlock the trophy.

  • Buy all decorative items

To purchase decorative items, first you will need to purchase the Hawker's shop from the town billboard for 5,500 gold. He will sell you four different items in each of his four categories. They provide bonuses to your shop (which stack), if you have a place to display them. To have more room to display your items, you will need to upgrade your shop.

You will need to purchase all the decorative items for the trophy. Each item costs 2,000 gold for the Golem and Forest items and 8,000 gold for the Desert and 16,000 gold for the Tech items. Each category will unlock when you obtain an item from that specific dungeon. The final item in each category will unlock when you beat each boss of the dungeon.

Here is a list of all the items and the bonuses your shop will receive:

    Golem

    • Golem Fountain – Increases the time visitors wait in the queue by 10%
    • Golem Banner – Increases the max number of visitors to the shop by 1
    • Golem Books – Increases the time the shop can be open by 10%
    • Golem Crystals – Every visitor adds a generous tip to the payment by 20%

    Forest

    • Forest Flowers – Increases the speed of visitors by 20%
    • Forest Ivy – Increases the max number of visitors to the shop by 1
    • Fruit Bowl – Every visitor adds a generous tip to the payment by 20%
    • Carnivorous Mutae Miniature – Decreases the probability of Thieves by 20%

    Desert

    • Desert Cloth – Delays the delivery date of shop requests by 1

    • Electronic Device - Every Visitor adds a generous tip to their payment by 10%
    • Shock Value - Increases the speed of the Visitors by 10%
    • Energy Flux Miniature - Increases the probability of generous customers by 10%
  • Defeat three waves of enemies in a Wave Room

A Wave Room is a secret room with the pillar in the middle. Use the pillar and it will activate 3 portals that enemies will come out. You must do this four times. Each time you do, the chest you receive will be upgrade from bronze, silver, gold, and then red. Once you complete the final wave of enemies during your fourth use, the trophy will unlock.

  • Find a secret room 10 times

Whenever you enter a room in a dungeon, there will be a chance that you'll see sparkles that will appear in the dark pits. It will sparkle only for a short time when you first enter, so pay attention. That indicates a secret room at the bottom of the pit. So either walk or roll into the pit to enter the room.

There are four different types of secret rooms you can come across. One will be containers tipped over with items on the ground. Another is a tree stump with a book in it. If you take the book, make sure to replace it with an item, or a big green unbeatable slime ghost will chase you until you reach the next floor or leave the dungeon. You can also find an open chest, that you can put your items in and it will transport them back to your shop. And lastly, there will be a pillar that will open portals of enemies, which you must defeat for chests.

  • Kill 1000 golem enemies

    **Glitched**
It seems the counter for this resets when you exit the game and/or does not track properly. The work around is to do this all in one session.

There is no in game tracker, so continue to kill enemies in each of the dungeons until the trophy pops. You can manually track how many enemies you've killed, as every time you exit the dungeon, it will show you how many enemies you have slain.

  • Kill 1000 forest enemies

    **Glitched**

    See Rage Against the Golems.

  • Kill 1000 desert enemies

    **Glitched**

    See Rage Against the Golems.

  • Kill 1000 tech enemies

  • Sell 20 items for the perfect price

To know if you have the perfect price set, the customer will show the smiley face when they pick up the merchandise. You'll obtain this naturally throughout the game as this will be the price range you'll want to get your items at. Just keep either lowering, or raising the price until you hit it. From then on, whenever you put an item up for sale, it will automatically list it as that price.

  • Sell 40 items really cheap

To know if you are selling an item for the cheap, you will see your customers have the coins in their eyes when they pick up an item to buy it. You will likely get this without trying, just by figuring out what to price new items you get. If not, just simply sell items that aren't worth much for a gold a piece.

Secret trophies

  • Perfect Golem King

    **Missable**

The Golem King is at the end of the Golem Dungeon on the 3rd floor. To get this, you must avoid taking damage. This is missable, as the boss does not respawn after he is defeated. To make this easier, when you arrive at the entrance to the boss, use your Merchant Emblem and go back to town and sleep or run your shop. This will save the game, so if you mess up during the boss fight, you can exit out and reload your game, and you will start from there to try again.

He will hit the ground, which will cause boulders to fall. When this happens, you'll see the shadows on the ground where they will land. Simply move out of the way. Then he will aim his jelly arm at you, and shoot it out and sweep it across. You can either roll out of the way when he does this to avoid damage, or just block it with your shield (which doesn't always work). In between each move, he'll emit a wave from his body that will knock you back, don't worry though as it does not cause any damage.

Sometimes a big one eyed blob will spawn after the boulders drop, so be careful of that, as it tends engulf you and keep you in place. Continue to hit him in between his moves and he will eventually be defeated.

  • Perfect Carnivorous Mutae

    **Missable**

The Carnivorous Mutate is at the end of the Forest Dungeon on the 3rd floor.

I suggest using a bow for this and keeping at a distance. He will start out by swinging his tentacles, which you can dodge out of the way, or just be back far enough. After that, you will see him put his roots in the ground, which will cause roots to start popping up from the ground underneath you. This will happen 3 times, so continuously dodge out of the way until it stops. If you are near the wall, the roots usually stop a bit in front of it, so staying by the side walls is a safe bet, the top and bottom, you'll still get hit. He will then emit pollen out from his body which you can either walk between them once they are far enough apart, or just dodge through it. He will also try and jump on you from time to time.

During this, the boss will shoot out seeds that will produce some other plants, which will continually shoot pollen at you as well. Either dodge the pollen, or kill the plants. Continue to chip away at the bosses health until he is defeated.

  • Perfect Naja

    **Missable**

The Naja is at the end of the Desert Dungeon on the 3rd floor.

Unlike this other bosses, this one doesn't have a set pattern it follows, so you will have to be mindful of the hints it gives you on what is coming next. The head will start to glow and it will either try and ram you if you're close enough, or if some of the body parts are missing, it will have fire and and smoke come out of it's back side that will damage you. The next part after the head will shoot out a wide arc of spinning fire after it glows, the 2nd part of the body will shoot out fire in all directions multiple times after it glows, the 3rd part of the body will drop fire bats, and the 4th part will drop lava pools. If all of the parts glow at once, then they are about to separate and start moving around the area. The head will stay in place though.

You cannot damage the head until it is the final part left. Continue to attack the body parts and destroy them until the head is left, and then finish off the head.

  • Perfect Energy Flux

    **Missable**

The Energy Flux is at the end of the Tech Dungeon on the 3rd floor.

Like the Desert boss, this one does not have a set pattern, so you will have to be mindful of the hints it gives you on what is coming next. Every time the boss does his attack, he will sit still for a moment for you to attack him before he moves into another spot. The boss has four different moves.

You will have the boss shoot out energy balls that are attached to the beam, which you can dodge through and then continue to hit the boss until it makes it way around again to dodge. It will also shoot out an electrical beam that is rather quick and will sweep across the area, so make sure you are ready to dodge, as there is only a few seconds before you get hit. The boss will also send out a field of electrical current. You can tell he is going to, as you will see electrical current surround the boss. You will want to get in position where there is a gap in the current around the boss. If the boss turns red, then it is about ready to move around the area. It will send a harmless line of current out in the direction a few seconds before it moves, so get out of the way. Continue to hit the boss between his moves until his health is depleted.

  • Die with your inventory full of items

Whenever you die in this game, you drop all your items that are in your inventory. Have every slot full in your inventory full and then die.

  • Use the Emblem in the room before the boss room

When you reach the 3rd floor in the Golem Dungeon for the first time, you'll obtain a Merchant's Emblem that allows you to open a portal to lead you back to town. This is different than your pendant, as you are able to go back through the portal to return to the same spot in the dungeon. It will close upon your return to the dungeon.

Once you reach the room before the boss room, you'll know you're there when you see a big door that's different than the ones you seen before. You'll then go to your inventory and activate your Merchant Emblem. The cost of activation will vary depending on the dungeon, and the floor you are on.

  • Hit the Witch's slime 42 times

You will need to purchase The Wooden Hat town upgrade from the town board for 500 gold. When it is built, there will be a pen with a slime in it next to the shop. Walk up to the slime and hit it 42 times.

  • Get money from a tree

    See Really?!?.

  • Earn money from trees 100 times

    **Glitched**
It seems the counter for this resets when you exit the game and/or does not track properly. The work around is to do this all in one session.

In order to get money from a tree, simply walk up to it and attack it. There will be a chance money will fall out of it. Continue to do this until you get money from a tree 100 times. You will have to wait until a day passes in order to get more money out of the trees if they have already been checked for the day.

Most of the trees will produce money, you may have to hit it a few times before it will.

  • Take potions from breakables 20 times

    **Glitched**
It seems the counter for this resets when you exit the game and/or does not track properly. The work around is to do this all in one session.

Any skeletons you come across, make sure you hit them as they will drop items or uncover Pete's letters. Keep hitting the skeletons whenever you run across one until you get potions from doing so 20 times.

  • Kill 100 bugs

Bugs are little things moving around on the floor of the dungeons. They take various shapes in each dungeon (slugs, snails, spiders, scorpions). To kill one, all you have to is walk on it and it'll get smashed. Do this 100 times.

  • Make 20 visitors abandon your shop

To make a visitor abandon your shop, all you have to do is ignore them when they go to check out. They will wait and eventually leave. Be warned though, whatever item they are trying to purchase, they will end up leaving with, so do this with cheap items, like Vines or Roots.

  • Sell 20 items slightly overpriced

To know if you are selling an item slightly overpriced, when the customers come looking at your merchandise, you will notice their expression to be a bit irritated when they pick it up. When you sell it to them, you will get the notice that the demand for it has lowered. You should get this throughout the course of the game by just adjusting to find the right price to sell your merchandise.

  • Receive 60 really expensive valuations

This is where you set a price too high and the customer has the distraught look on their face and they won't buy it. You'll obtain this without even trying, as you get items you will be experimenting with the prices and you will eventually set it too high enough times.

  • Arrive at Crazy Pete's

In any of the dungeons, there is a room with a tent in it. This is Crazy Pete's place. You will need to go to the upper right corner and stay there for a few seconds. The picture below displays where you should stand, in the green boxed area.
