Introduction:

Monster Energy Supercross 5 is the fifth entry to the Monster Energy Supercross series and was released in March 2022 for the PS4 and PS5. The list is simple but there are 2 trophies that might give some trouble, Veteran trophy_bronze.png and The Rock trophy_gold.png . The later is a trophy that requires you to complete all training 50 sessions (challenges) with the max score (3 stars) and while you can complete the races on any difficulty of your chosing, the Training Sessions are challenging because they are not related to it. The Veteran trophy_bronze.png is simply a grindy trophy, that requires you to do a minimum of 10 seasons in career mode as well as many other objectives, so take notice of them before hand to do them along the way.

Walkthrough:

1. Do Career Mode playing on "The Real Thing" setting until you Win 50 Qualifying and 50 Heat races. After that you can set it to One Shot to make it quicker.

During this step you'll be aiming to get the Veteran trophy_bronze.png which pretty much includes every other trophy that's tied to career mode. This includes:

51 trophies ( 42  )

  • Unlock all trophies

Unlock all the other trophies to earn this Ultra Rare Platinum.
  • Complete a Main Event in a Custom Track created by another player

For this trophy, you must complete a Main Event on a downloaded track. To do this go to:

Main Menu (Home tab) - Community Tracks - Select Track

On the next screen, you have various options, like rider selection, event type and setting. I suggest making the Event type One Shot, to only have one race and simply finish the race.
  • Accept the contract of a Team you asked to join

At the start of your career and every few races during career mode, you'll need to pick a new team or renew your contract. There will be 3 options. Left (Contract Offers), Middle (Request Contract), Right (Renew Contract). Furthermore you can press r1.png to switch between Official Teams and Sponsors.

For the trophy, you need to pick the Middle option and the team must accept. If you're winning every race, you should have no problem with this one.

Veteran trophy_bronze.png Notes: Renewing a contract WILL raise your contract number but WILL NOT unlock any more official outfits after the renewal, so make sure to always sign a contract with a different team. You also need to unlock 10 official outfits, so you'll have to sign with 10 official teams and not 8. Take note of the teams you joined because there is no way to check which you have joined.
  • Earn a total of 1,000,000 SX Credits

SX Credits is the money in-game. You can use it to buy gear to customize your rider or bike parts when you're in a team that allows modifying the bike. I got this trophy by my third season and I only had about 700k - 800k.
  • Get a Holeshot in any game mode

See 13 is the magic number trophy_silver.png for more information.
  • Get a total of 13 Holeshots in any game mode

A Holeshot is when you're the first to cross the white line after a race start. There will be an in-gme tutorial explaining this when you first start the game. For this trophy, you only need 13. You'll need 30 Holeshots for Veteran trophy_bronze.png as well as 20 Perfect Starts, which is obtained after going exactly the same time as the barrier drops to start the race. The barrier always drops around the same time frame, which to me is counting to 5 or 6, where each number I count it roughly half second, so maybe 3 seconds. It still involves some luck but you'll have plenty of opportunitites to get it.
  • Win a Main Event with the Event Type option set on "The Real Thing"

"The Real Thing" consists of Qualifying session + Heat (short race) + Main Event (normal race). You'll need to Qualify in 1st place 50 times and win 50 Heat races for Veteran trophy_bronze.png so this should be the default Event Type for your playthrough.
  • Purchase a total of 10 components for your Rider Customization

Buy any 10 pieces of gear for your rider. These can be Helmets, Goggles, Boots or Neck Bracers. You can buy them at Rider -> Customise -> Aesthetics and Equip.
  • Complete the Futures chapter in Career Mode

Once you start career mode you'll see 3 chapters, Futures, Rookie and Pro. For now, the last 2 will be locked, so you'll only have the option to pick Futures. This chapter consists of only 3 races, unlocks the Journal needed for Veteran trophy_bronze.png and Futures Academy, which is a sort of gameplay and video tutorials, not needed for any trophy.
  • Complete the Rookie chapter in Career Mode

Once you complete your Futures Chapter, you'll unlock the next step, the Rookie Chapter. Here you'll be able to choose from two championships 250 East (9 races) or 250 West (10 races) and will need to complete this chapter a total of 10 times for Veteran trophy_bronze.png. This chapter will unlock Rider Shape and Injuries (Get back in shape! trophy_bronze.png), New Skills (The greatest trophy_bronze.png), Training Sessions (The Rock trophy_gold.png) and Special Events (Outdoor enthusiast trophy_bronze.png).

Veteran trophy_bronze.png note: Once you complete the objectives for 50 Qualifying Sessions Won and 50 Heats Won, you can set the game event settings to One Shot to make things faster and after you have And that's 100! trophy_gold.png. You can start withdrawing from races to make it go even faster. To be safe, I'd just do enough races to alwasy stay in 1st place or near the top.
  • Complete the Pro chapter in Career Mode

After doing the first 2 chapters, you'll unlock the Pro Chapter which consists of 17 races, unlocks Rivals (Rivals forever trophy_bronze.png), more Training Sessions (The Rock trophy_gold.png) and more Skills (The greatest trophy_bronze.png).

Veteran trophy_bronze.png notes: You'll need to do a second partial playthrough of this chapter since you can only win a maximum of 17 Main Events against your Rival and you need 20 for the Journal objective.
  • Reach the podium in 100 Main Events in any mode

While the trophy description says you need to reach the podium, you actually need to win the race, so set the game to a difficutly you're comfortable with and make sure to win every race to avoid unnecessary grindining later on. This will come naturally while going for Veteran trophy_bronze.png. Just make sure to win every race. You can check your progress by pressing the tp.png and checking your rider profile.
  • Reach Prestige level 20

  • Reach Prestige level 60

  • Reach Prestige level 100

You can get them by prestige tricks and other feats on track. I don't think difficulty is related to how many points you earn, below is a list of the things you can do to earn points:
    • Fast Lap - 2500
    • Perfect Start - 2300
    • Clean Lap - 1500
    • Lap in the Lead - 1500
    • Backflip - 1000
    • Holeshot - 600
    • Reach First Place - 600
    • Drift - variable
    • Jump - variable
    • Scrub - variable
    • Whip - variable
Make sure to do lots of Whips and Scrubs during races to make it a little faster but it's almost guaranteed you'll have it before doing the 10+ seasons needed for Veteran trophy_bronze.png.
  • Complete all 3 Objectives of a Workout Session

This is an annoying trophy and you'll need to repeat the deed 10 times for Veteran trophy_bronze.png.

I'm not sure what are the requirements for a Workout Session to be given to you. I want to say that getting an injury definitely triggers one, but I was also given some when I was not injured. Just to be safe try to have some big crashes during Main Events if you have a nice lead to try and trigger them more often.

Workout Sessions consist of being in a Free Roam area where you are given 3 minutes to complete 3 objectives.
    • Collect the 5 letters of S-H-A-P-E
    • Score 350 points
    • Perform moves
By themselves each objective is simple (more or less) the big challenge is doing them all within the time limit. Not only is it extremelly short but:
    • You need to be lucky with the placement of the 5 letters;
    • Be somewhat lucky with the path between letters to be able to score the 350 points while going from letter to letter. Points can be scored by Drifting, Jumping, Scrubing, Whipping or performing other difficult tricks, see the next bullet point;
    • Be lucky with the 3rd challenge. The ones I got in my playthrough were do 1 Frontflip / 1 Backflip / 3 Whips / 3 Scrubs. If you need to do a flip, you might as well not even try. I tried to learn how to do them and only found 1 video from the 3rd installment of the game. To do a backflip you hold r2.png+lss.png+rss.png and to do a frontflip you hold l2.png+lsn.png+rsn.png but I never managed to pull one off. On very rare occasions I get awarded a backflip from doing a whip or a scrub but never managed to do it intentionally.
The good news is that you can close the app if you you're close to failing the session and keep trying until you get it. The bad news is you can't do the same to try and get a different challenge, at least it never happened to me.
  • Complete all challenges in the Journal

This is the longest trophy on the game but not the hardest. The journal is a series of objectives you need to achieve in Career mode. You can check the objectives on Career Management -> Journal.
    • Successful Scrubs - 100 - check Master of the Scrubverse trophy_bronze.png.
    • Successful Whips - 100 - It's the same as scrubs, except you hold both stick in the same direction, lse.png+rse.png or lsw.png+rsw.png.
    • Jumps - 100 - You'll get this without trying, I'm not sure what counts as a jump but I think holding lss.png+rss.png before a jump helps getting them more often.
    • Seconds in the Air - 3500 - self explanatory, won't take to long to achieve.
    • Perfect Starts - 20 - check 13 is the magic number trophy_silver.png.
    • Races Completed - 50 - self explanatory, you need 100 for And that's 100! trophy_gold.png.
    • Qualifying Sessions Won - 50 - check The Real Champ trophy_bronze.png.
    • Heats Won - 50 - check The Real Champ trophy_bronze.png.
    • Standard Events - 50 - not sure what it means but it'll also come naturally. For some reason this stat was never the same as my Races Completed, Heats Won or Qualifying Sessions Won.
    • Completed Workout Sessions - 10 - check Get back in shape! trophy_bronze.png.
    • East/West Showdown Won - 10 - check Rookie of the year trophy_silver.png.
    • Overtakings - 500 - self-explanatory, overtake 500 opponents, will be one of the first entries you complete.
    • Abilities Unlocked - 50 - Check The greatest trophy_bronze.png for this entry you'll just to get 50 abilities and not the 60 required for the afore mentioned trophy.
    • Sponsor Contracts - 8 - check Welcome to the Team trophy_bronze.png for info on contracts.
    • Official Team Contracts - 8 - check Welcome to the Team trophy_bronze.png for info on contracts
    • Official Outfits Unlocked - 10 - Unlocked by successfully completing contracts with official teams.
    • Training Sessions Completed - 50 - check The Rock trophy_gold.png.
    • Training Stars Achieved - 150 - check The Rock trophy_gold.png.
    • Extra Events Completed - 20 - check Outdoor enthusiast trophy_bronze.png.
    • Laps Without Rewind - 100 - You can press r1.png to turn back time when you fall, or leave the track, for example, simply complete 100 laps without using it, pretty simple.
    • Laps Without Falls - 100 - self explanatory, pretty simple
    • Victories vs Rivals - 20 - check Rivals forever trophy_bronze.png, you won't have this after 1 season in Pro, so after you're done with the 10 seasons of Rookie Chapter start the Pro Chapter again until you get this entry.
    • Mi(les) Covered - 186 - self explanatory, will come with time.
    • Weeks Completed - 50 - self explanatory, will come with time.
    • Credits Obtained - 1 Million - check You've cleaned out, buddy! trophy_bronze.png.
    • Bike Setups Changed - 50 - check Engineer trophy_bronze.png.
    • Holeshot - 30 - check 13 is the magic number trophy_silver.png.
    • Championships won - 5 - If you're winning every race it'll come naturally.
  • Meet a Contract Objective of an Official Team in Career mode

Official teams are the ones that exist in real life. If you press r1.png during the contract selection you can sign with a sponsor and make a team of your own, which is not what we're looking for in this trophy.

Most, if not all contract objectives require you to be 1st place in the championship at the end of the contract and award 100,000 Cr. and an Official Outfit. Simply keep on winning every race and you should get this trophy on your very first contract review.
  • Complete the entire Skill Tree

You can check the Skill Tree under "Skills" on the career menu. For this trophy, you need to get all 60 skills instead of the 50 needed for Veteran trophy_bronze.png. They'll start out cheap and will gradually get more expensive. You get training points by completing Main Events, Extra Events, Training Sessions and Workout Sessions. You will only be able to complete the tree after starting the Pro Chapter, see Real professional trophy_silver.png.
  • Complete a Main Event on any track of the Compound

This is tied to the Extra Events you can do in between official races. Just keep doing them and you'll get the trophy eventually. In fact you should get it after your very first Extra Event. You need to complete 20 for Veteran trophy_bronze.png.
  • Totally get over any Injury

You'll get over an inury by doing a Workout Session. See Get back in shape! trophy_bronze.png. You don't need to complete all of the objectives, I don't think you need to complete any objectives at all. You can also pay to recover from an injury but I'm not sure it unlocks the trophy.
  • Pass at least 10 Training Sessions with any result

  • Complete all the Training Sessions with the maximum result

This is the hardest trophy. Not only are the challenges a bit complicated but you only get 3 attempts for each race and even if you're successful, it still counts as one attempt, meaning you can only do 3 training sessions for each race you do, which definitely adds a bit of pressure. The good news is that you can close the app if you fail all 3 attempts and load back to try again. If you're really good, you can complete 3 training sessions per race but chances are you'll be closing and opening the game multiple times to complete even one of them. There are 5 training/challenge types:
    • THE LION - Pass the largest possible number of opponents possible before your time runs out - I believe challenges that have AI opponents are affected by the difficulty setting so this one along with THE LIGHTNING are the easiest ones since you can make the opponents are very slow. Here you just want to overtake them as quickly as possible to accumulates 2X/3X multipliers. The only one that gave me some trouble was the 10th one.
    • THE SURGEON - Follow the indicator on the track to perform the perfect flow. The more precise you are, the more the completion will increase. - This is one of the hardest training sessions. The track will have Dynamic Flow Indicators (see Go with the flow trophy_bronze.png) that you must follow. Unfortunately, launching from the indicated ramp and landing where the arrow point is not enough. You have to follow the blue line perfectly, which will turn green, yellow or red depending on how perfectly you followed it, which is pretty difficult.
    • THE SHOWMAN - Pass the marked jumps with a scrub or with a whip - This could be considered Medium/Hard but Challenge 9 alone makes this one Extremelly Hard. In my opinion, it's just badly designed and in the end I got it by accident so I can't really give any helpful tips. Marked jumps will have a blue symbol on the ramp while scrubs will have the same symbol as well as a holographic barrier with traffic signal colours red, yellow, green. Whips are pretty much free, just press lse.png+rse.png or lsw.png+rsw.png and land on the other side, you'll get 3 points every time. Scrubs are more complicated, to be awarded the 3 points you need to hit the green colour, go too high and you fail, go too slow and pass under the green you fail. To hit the green you'll have to start the scrub (lse.png+rsw.png or lsw.png+rse.png) in the middle of the ramp, but be careful, if you start it too soon you can hit the top of the ramp and crash before you are airborne.
    • THE LIGHTNING - In this challenge, timing and speed are everything. When the start gate drops, burn your opponents and reach the finish line first - These will be the easiest challenges, it consists of a mini race, and since the races will only get longer it just gives you more time to reach first place.
    • THE SNAKE - Cross the largest number of gates before your time runs out. The narrowest gates let you gain more points - I'd say this is medium difficulty just to not put it on the same level as THE LION and THE LIGHTNING. It's some sort of slalom and while it may take one or two attempts to learn the location of the gates it's not as annoying as the really hard ones where you'll have to close the app multiple times just to do it once. As previously mentioned, just learn the location of the gates and just go as fast as you can, at first you don't need to go too fast. Just worry about hitting the gates but on the later stages a some speed is necessary.
  • Ride 100 miles (160 km) in offline Free Roaming in the Compound

This is another grindy trophy. You'll only ride in the Coumpound during Workout Sessions and it's very unlikely you'll reach 100 miles while doing them. To do this, load the Free Ride from the single player main menu and ride around until the trophy pops.

  • Beat a Rival in Career Mode in any race

Once you reach the "Pro Chapter" in career mode (see Real professional trophy_silver.png), you'll automatically be given a rival. Getting the Holeshot, Qualifying, Heat and Race win should give you this trophy and you should be getting them for Veteran trophy_bronze.png . You'll also need to beat your Rival 20 times for the afore mentioned trophy.
  • Complete your first Journal Challenge

Should be one of the first trophies you get, see Veteran trophy_bronze.png.
  • Save a custom Bike Setup

Whenever you're starting any activity that involves riding your bike, you'll have two option "Start" and "Bike Setup". You'll want to press on the later. Tweak anything you want and press square.png to save the setup and earn the trophy. For Veteran trophy_bronze.png, you'll need to do this 50 times. You don't need to save the setup though, just change anything and put it back on default if you don't know what you're doing will do just fine.
  • Change the color of the nickname on the suit of your custom rider

You can change it at Rider -> Customise -> Aesthetics and Equip. and then the 4 options on the right. Just change it from the default colour to anything else and earn this very easy trophy.
  • Complete an Official Championship of any class in Championship mode

For this trophy, you need to complete one season of a championship from the main menu instead of career. If you head to the single player there will be an option called "Championship" or "Load Championship" and "New Champioship" if you have one under way. After selecting, it you can choose a few options. For the sake of speed pick 250 East (fewest races) and set the event options for One Shot race. To make it even quicker you, can withdraw from the race as soon as the gate drops and you have control of your rider. Just keep quitting from the races until you complete the season and get the trophy.
  • Get a Holeshot and victory in the same Main Event in any mode

If you're winning every race to make And that's 100! trophy_gold.png as quick as possible, you should get this trophy pretty soon. For more information about Holeshots check 13 is the magic number trophy_silver.png.
  • Complete a total of at least 100 scrubs

A scrub is done by moving both analog sticks in opposite direction while going off a ramp, either lse.png+rsw.png or lsw.png+rse.png. Each time you successfully perform a move, it will show on the center of the screen. Simply do it 100 times. It's also required for Veteran trophy_bronze.png .
  • Beat the time of the Ghost of another player in Time Attack mode

This could be a rather hard trophy if it wasn't for a simple trick that can be done in most racing games. To make this trophy really easy, you just have to set a really bad time with an alternate account and then use your main account to beat it. Just make sure to have that account as a friend, use the same bike class and be on the same track. To access Time Attack go to:

Single Player -> Time Attack -> Select Class -> Select ghost with cross.png on the top right side.
  • Complete at least two SX Challenges of the SX Profile

This can be accessed by pressing the tp.png pretty much on any menu and navigating with r1.png until you reach SX Challenges. There are 4 challenges, and you'll reach 2 of them by just going for Veteran trophy_bronze.png, so no need to worry about this one:
    • THE KEY - tied to Veteran trophy_bronze.png.
    • THE MASTER - tied to The greatest trophy_bronze.png.
    • THE KING - Reach the podium in 30 Multiplayer mode Events.
    • THE MILLIONAIRE - Earn 5,000,000 SX Credits.
  • Complete a lap with the Dynamic Flow Aid activated

Dynamyc Flow AId is one of the most useful Ride Aids in the game. It basically shows you the fastest way to tackle each jumps section of the track. It's the equivalent of the optimal racing line available on most racing games. To activate it go to pause menu -> Riding Aids -> and activate the 5th opiton Flow Aid.
