DEMIGOD
BERSERKER

Introduction:

Mindjack takes place in 2031, where mind hacking and slaving is key to surviving or at least making it to the end. This is a third person shooter that mixes in the single player with the multiplayer aspects. A person on your friend's list or a person across the world can hack into your game and take control of an enemy and try to end the game for you. The main character is Jim Corbijn, a government field agent (FIA) who enters a war between the government and the corporations without much knowledge of what is going on. He uses a futuristic headset allowing him to take control of other characters and machines within the game world by hacking into them. You will meet up with two people Rebecca and Fernandez to help you find out what is going on and why you are in this battle.

Tips & Tricks:

Mind slave enemies as often as you can; having more people on your side is key.
Mind hack Citizens and let the main character become an AI. There is not much of a reason to control him when you can use someone else to oppress the enemies quicker.
Cover is key and valuable. Most of it doesn't work but once you find cover, use it.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Singleplayer as a host. Allowing hackers

Play your first playthrough with hackers. I advise making this your priority to get these trophies first. They also can be done after, but make sure to perform them as you progress through the game. All the secret trophies are story related and there are no collectibles to worry about. Make sure to perform headshots to obtain more XP when you can. Use cover often and hack and mind slave to have more people on your side to defeat the opposing force. Whenever you are given the chance to perform a combo attack to defeat an enemy, do so. There is a trophy for defeating an enemy 100 times with combos. Heal your partners often when prompted to; that trophy will come as your progress. After you have completed the game you should be between the levels of 25-35.

I advise playing with hackers. Since you can kick them at anytime if you are having trouble with the red hackers hindering you from progressing through the game. You will need to get a red hacker to join your game at least once and kill him/her in one second for the HOTHEAD trophy. Please see the trophy guide for more information. If you have any blue hackers let them stay, you can use them to get MIND JACKER. There is the STAR trophy that you will need 100 hackers to hack into your game. That can be the most time consuming trophy since not everyone is playing this. You will want to get STAR out of the way because the higher your level the less people will hack into your game, which is stupid since the higher the level only means the more plug-ins you have compared to the lower level hackers.

Step 2: Multiplayer

You will need to back out of the Main Menu and go to the Hack portal. You will need to complete 50 games as both a red and blue hacker and kill 50 of each red and blue hacker. Step 3: Clean up

At this time you will want to go for any trophies that you haven't received yet. Guru being one of them, but you can play online as a red hacker to gain XP fast. The STAR trophy being another one that can be a pain to get if you don't have anyone to jump in and out your game.

PERFECT HACKER

Obtain all trophies.

BIRTH

Experience the wonder of birth as a Wanderer.
Story related, cannot be missed. The trophy will pop during the saving screen.

You will earn this trophy once you first start the game and play through the tutorial. Once the tutorial is over the trophy will pop. The tutorial will show you how to roam around in wanderer mode and mind hack into people.
CONTACT

Successfully make contact with Rebecca at San Mira Airport.
The second cutscene - once you have reached Rebecca and the unknown man that pulls his gun on you that is when the trophy will pop up. That cutscene gets real good, real emotion went into that fight. After the cutscene will be when you should get the option to turn on/off the host mode and let people hack into your game. Best to leave the host mode on, you can kick hackers at anytime.
BERSERKER

Equip the 'BESERKER TIME' PLUG-IN and clear 'DESTRUCTION SITE' or 'STEEL GIANT'.
You can access the plug-ins via the main menu. You can use screen selection if you happen to miss this trophy. You have to leave the game and go to the main menu to equip plug-ins.

Just go to scene selection> Scene 08-1 is the Destruction site, Make sure to equip the Berserker time plug-in. Press > Rules and the second icon will be the berserker time plug in. There is nothing hard about this, it's just your health will regenerate a little slower. Go for this trophy after you have reached level 35 or so. At that time you should have the Sharper Bullet plug-in. The trophy will pop once you complete that scene.
DEMIGOD

Equip the 'DEMIGOD TIME' PLUG-IN and clear 'HEADQUARTERS' or 'DOORWAY'.
You can access the plug-ins via the main menu. You can use screen selection if you happen to miss this trophy. You have to leave the game and go to the main menu to equip plug-ins. HEADQUARTERS seems to be the easier one once you beat the game. This plug makes your health regenerate slower, much slower. It's not as bad as you think. If you use cover often and work clockwise, there should be no problem defeating the Mechs or the soldiers.
MIND HACKER

Mind Hack successfully for the first time.
The first trophy you will get during the tutorial. You have learned how to mind hack into people in the tutorial, so just hack the first person you see and then the trophy will pop, make sure to do a little bit of damage first to make the hacking easier. When they are yellow and down is the only time to mind hack the enemy, citizens can be hacked at anytime and any hackable thing (machine and guerrilla etc) can be hacked if they are not moving.
HONORARY CITIZEN

Mind Hack 100 citizens.
They are all over the game, which is good since they already have a weapon equipped. If you are in wanderer mode and need a body to use find a citizen. They are the ones in a place scared and having their head between the legs or laying on the ground hoping for this gun violence to stop. It’s time for you to make a man/woman out of them. Press to get into wanderer mode and then / to cycle through all the hackable people/machines in the area, press to hack the citizen and that is plus one towards this trophy. If both main characters die the credit still counts towards this trophy, since the game saves right after you die.
NEWBIE

Reach Level 5.
The way to level up is based on the kills you get. You will get this as you progress through the game. Please see GURU for more information about leveling up. Most kill XP will be between 20-30 but it also depends how you get the kill, which enemy you kill and if you used a gun or a grenade.
HACKER

Reach Level 30.
Please see Guru for more information.
GURU

Reach Level 50.
Leveling up is fun when you can do it in both single and multiplayer and it will count the same way. In single player a single kill will get you 20 XP, a headshot will be 30 XP and mind slaving gets you 3-5 XP. Killing bosses and bigger enemies will get you more. Killing a blue or a red hacker will get you a lot more points since it's a live player and not the computer.

The fastest way to level up is to play online as a red hacker and killing the host and any other blue hackers that are in the game.
ARTISAN

Equip a PLUG-IN for the first time.
You should earn you first plug in at level 2. Just go to the main menu to equip the plug in you have received. You have to leave the game and go to the main menu to equip plug-ins. Once at the game menu press to get into the plug-in menu. Click rules(yellow symbol black box) arts (blue symbol black box). After equipping the plug-in the trophy will soon follow.
ARTIST

Obtain all PLUG-INS.
As you progress through the game, level up and earn XP you will earn PLUG-IN ARTS/RULES. Once you reach level 46 and received the last Plug-in art the trophy will pop. This is not a collectible. The fastest way to level up is by playing as a red hacker and shooting opponents.
HEAD CASE

Take out 30 enemies with head shots.
Just aim for the head, this game is cheap with the one shot kills, so aim for the head it will take 5-7 shots with the pistol or one if you have the sniper rifle. Take your time with the shots, because the enemy can move at anytime and mess the kill up. You will know when you get a headshot once you see the 30XP come from the body once the enemy is defeated. If you have the sharpened bullet/Sharper bullet plugged in, the weapons will do more damage.
COMBO KING

Defeat 10 enemies in a row using attack combos.
This can be done on the first level. There are more than enough enemies in that level for you to get this. If you want to start with the first guard you see then go ahead, but make sure you don't do any finishing blows on the enemy (when the enemy is down and the yellow glow is coming from his body and you can mind slave him). After you have taken them out you will need a few more, but a flying robot will be in the way; don't shoot it, let Rebecca kill it and then you proceed to take out the 2 enemies in the walkway.

Don't worry if your player goes down, just make sure you don't kill anyone with the gun in between. Just find another body to hack or hack back into the same body and continue to get melee kills. You melee by pressing the button 3 times in front of the enemy, you will also see the button pop up to engage the enemy.

Boosting method: Also better on the first level. Have a red hacker join your game. For every enemy you see let him hack into them and bring them to you and you perform the melee kills on them until the trophy pops. Best if you had a third person to take control of rebecca to kill any machines that get in your way (not really needed, since rebecca can do it by herself). This trophy can be done online.
MULTI-TASKER

Mind Slave 4 enemies at once.
There are multiple sections for you to get this trophy, each section has multiple enemies and this will become second nature. You will end up doing this multiple times over the course of the game. All you have to do is mind slave an enemy after he has taken enough damage, his body will glow yellow, just aim at him and then press to mind slave him/her. All you need is 4 at once. You may have to wait until the power meter builds up to get the fourth enemy. This video will show you how it is done. You cannot take mind slaved enemies with you into different parts of that game. MEDIC

Heal 20 people.
Aim at a friend, either Rebecca or Jim and heal them. Aim at the character you want to heal and then press to heal them. Do this 20 times over the course of the game and the trophy will pop soon enough. You should see an orange health icon on the character's body that needs to be healed. There also will be a noise to let you know that either one of them needs health. Healing does take power away from you. At an early level you will need to be close to heal them. If you are a red hacker in an online game, you can heal a fallen enemy and still get the credit towards this trophy.
SCRATCHER

Mind Hack a Swarmer and defeat 10 enemies.

There is a section of the game where you will be introduced to the Swarmers. I advise using that time to get this trophy. All you have to do is damage them a little until the yellow glow is coming from their body and then mind slave it, after press to go into wanderer mode and then to hack into the body of the Swarmer. Take out any other Swarmers or other enemies that get in your way until the trophy pops up. You shoot with the button. There are multiple sections in the game where there will be a good set of Swarmers to battle.
STREET RIPPER

Mind Hack a Titan and defeat 10 enemies.
You will see this guy kind of early in the game, while leaving the airport. Just hack into this guerrilla and defeat 10 enemies. You will have to be in wanderer mode to find the guerrilla in the terminal unless he is active and comes looking for you.

On stage 02-2, when you get to the big circle area, way off in a corner a neutral titan spawns when the enemies start spawning from the stairs. It's a combat gorilla. Just go into wanderer mode and press to find it quicker. You will have to defeat the first wave of enemies first.

Just go to scene selection> Scene 08-1 is the Destruction site. After you have cleared the destruction site and have talked to the doctor, there will be a part where you have to go to the opposite side, clear the four soldiers, then another cutscene. After you have seen the cutscene and taken out the sniper and the guy behind you, exit the body and use the button to look for the Titan. Go to the enemies there and press to defeat them. You can play this scene over and over until you get this trophy.
GUN WHEEL GURU

Mind Hack a Gun Wheel and defeat 20 enemies.

You will see gun wheels often in the game, most of the time not in motion. I advise using this time to hack into them using the same way explained in the SCRATCHER trophy. Take out 20 enemies and the trophy will pop soon after.

These show up all over, they're the little blue wheels (not the red, those are detonator wheels). This can be a little difficult, since the controllers for this wheel can be a little frustrating. After you learn how to use it, it won't be so much of a problem. The best scene to do it on is 02-2. Go down the escalator, kill the foot soldiers there and go through the door. Head to the left and you will see 2 gun wheels coming out of the elevator. Destroy them or mind slave them, there will be a third one coming out of the elevator, mind slave it then press to go into wanderer mode and then to take control. Kill as many guards as you can. If you happen to lose the Gun Wheel, let Rebecca and Jim die so the game will save and you keep the stats. Rinse and repeat until the trophy pops.

Boostable method: In the same 02-2 scene have a red hacker hack a body, while you are in a Gun wheel machine. Have them come to where the gun wheel is located and shoot them until they die. Do this 20 times until the trophy pops. You may want to have 2 other blue hackers present to take over Jim and Rebecca, so they don't kill any enemies that can contribute to this trophy.
MURDEROUS MACHINE

Mind Hack a Quick Draw and defeat 10 enemies.
Another frequent enemy seen in the game. Just hack into this 3 wheeled enemy and defeat anybody that gets in your way. The second section of 03-0 is where 2 quick draws are located. Take out the first one, make sure you shoot it in the middle and not the arms; they will fall off if they take too many shots. They can be a problem with aim since you can't really aim up or down so being at a distance from the enemy will help you get the kills faster. If both characters die, you will still receive credit for any kills you got with the quick draw, since the game will save after each death.

This also can be boosted using the same method given in the GUN WHEEL trophy.
PUPPET MASTER

Successfully Mind Slave 255 times.
This can be done over the course of the game. Press once you have damaged the enemy a little. In some cases you have to be close to the enemy to mind slave them. Mind slaving lets the enemy be on your team until that enemy dies. Just remember mind slaving takes up power, but will be restored over time. Anything done online will contribute to this trophy. Any mind slaving you do as a blue hacker online and offline, will contribute and comes as one set. So if you do 100 mind slaves online and 155 offline you will get it as soon as you get that 255 whether it's online or off.
MOWER MAN

Use a Finishing Blow on 50 damaged enemies.
You will have to perform this once an enemy has taken enough damage and you see a yellow glow from their body. Just go up to them and press multiple times to perform an execution style hit and the enemy will die and drop its weapon. Performing this any chance you get will save you time after wards. This can be done online too. You will know when it's time to perform this attack, since the will pop up to mind slave them, but don't press it press the button instead.
I KNOW KUNG FU

Defeat 100 enemies using Attack Combos.
This is the same as the COMBO KING trophy, except you don’t have to do it in a row, just use combo attacks on enemies whenever you get the chance. Press multiple times to perform an attack hit and press it again to do a combo make sure you defeat the enemy with a combo and not a shot kill. If you happen to perform an attack combo online it will contribute to this trophy as well as anything offline. Can also be boosted if you need to.
HOTHEAD

Defeat an enemy within 1 second of them being Mind Hacked.
The best way to go about get this trophy is setting your game up as a host so people can hack into your game. Once you see a Red wanderer floating around wait for it to hack into a body. Use a sniper rifle or a rocket launcher, those two seem to be the only way to get a one hit kill on all enemies. You can also use a grenade. You can also just aim at the red wanderer and wait for him to start going into a body, aim at the head of the body and sooner or later the trophy will pop.

The second way is to set up your game as a host and set it to private, only have people on your friends list join and kill them that way. Please use the Trophy Boosting thread if you need to.
RECEPTIONIST

In Host Play, be hacked into by a Red Hacker for the first time.
This will come naturally if you set your game up as a host and not have any slots as private. Once you complete the tutorial you will be asked if you want to begin the game as a host. As you progress through the game you will have at least one red hacker join your game. If not just use the boosting thread to get a member to hack into your game. This can be boosted if you are not hacked by a red hacker. You can either invite the player and have them choose to be a red hacker or have them look for you in the custom hack search.
RED HACKER

As a Red Hacker, defeat a Mind Hacked enemy for the first time.
First you will need to back out to the title screen > Press , go to Hack Portal, custom hack. You will then get a list of people playing, choose one and then pick your team color as red. Break into the match and kill one of the players. Best to choose a game with only one person in it. Remember you need to kill a blue hacker for this trophy to pop up. You will know when the trophy pops because it will say that Your PSN ID killed (symbol) the host's PSN ID.
BLUE HACKER

As a Blue Hacker, defeat a Mind Hacked enemy for the first time.
First you will need to back out to the title screen > Press , go to Hack Portal, custom hack. You will then get a list of people playing, choose one and then pick your team color as blue. Break into the match and kill one of the players. Best to choose a game with only one person in it. You have to kill a red hacker for it to count.
APPRENTICE GATEKEEPER

As a Red Hacker, hack into an enemy and win.
First you will need to back out to the title screen > Press , go to Hack Portal, custom hack. You will then get a list of people playing, choose one and then pick your team color as red. Break into the match and kill one of the players. Best to choose a game with only one person in it. You will need to defeat the players that are in the game. This trophy can be boosted.
GATEKEEPER

As a Red Hacker, successfully defeat 50 Mind Hacked enemies.
You have to defeat 50 host players or blue hackers while playing online and hacking another persons' game. Kill the host or a blue hacker for it to count. You must kill the enemy with the blue color around it. You can kill them as the same red hacker over and over until the trophy pops. This trophy can be boosted with one or more of your friends in a game.
GUARDIAN

As a Blue Hacker, successfully defeat 50 Mind Hacked enemies.
You will need to defeat all red hackers that are in the game; making this hard because not everyone likes being bother by the red hackers. The way you will know you defeated a red hacker is when you have killed an enemy with a red glow and to the side of the screen you will see your name next to the PSN ID of the host. You can kill them same red hacker over and over until the trophy pops.

This is the second trophy that might really need boosting, but it's still easy to get without boosting. You will need one person on your friends list to be the host and set his game as private; have him invite you and one other person. One player becomes a blue hacker (the person going for the trophy) and the other a red hacker (the person dying by the blue hacker). This trophy can be boosted.

Kill him/her 50 times until the trophy pops. You may need to progress through the game unless you do this on scene 06-0 on the catwalk where the snipers are and the endless foot soldiers come from, if you don't kill the Sniper at the bottom/lower level.
STAR

In Host Play, get hacked into by over 100 Hackers.
You can use the trophy boosting thread to get people to hack into your game, but it will be easier if you don't have any slots as private and playthrough the game multiple times as a host. Unless you can find 5 people to boost this trophy with you and have them hack into your game 20 times a piece until the trophy pops. An alternative way is stay idle in one section of the game for countless hours until enough hackers have hacked into your game and the trophy pops.

After the trophy pops up you will need to thank every less one of those people (If you didn't boost) that joined your game unless they were red hackers, then I hope you killed them.
SHIELD

10 people engaged as bullet shields get defeated.
If you see an enemy or civilian, go up to them and press and hold down the button to use them as bullet shields. This will be important as you progress through the game, so don't worry so much about it; it will pop the more you use it. You first learn about this in the first chapter, when you see a citizen on the floor. Just grab an enemy and let his buddies kill him/her. This can be done online too and yes this also can be boosted with one other player.
BLUE COAT

Win 5 times as a Blue Hacker.
This is just your basic second playthrough. This is the co-op feature of the game. Please see BLUE BLOOD for more information.
BLUE HELMET

Win 20 times as a Blue Hacker.
Please see BLUE BLOOD for more information. Not even half way to 50 but you are close.
BLUE BLOOD

Win 50 times as a Blue Hacker.

This will be like cooperative play online. Just play the game winning each scene with the host as a blue hacker and as the game progresses, the more wins you get. You may have to hack into multiple games, not everyone likes help. This can be boosted. If you play from start to finish with a friend the trophy should pop before you finish the game a second time.
RED CAP

Win 5 times as a Red Hacker.
You will need to go to the hack portal, custom hack and choose to be a red hacker. Please see RED DEVIL for more information.
RED FLAG

Win 20 times as a Red Hacker.
Same as RED CAP. Please see RED DEVIL for more information. Not even half way there, but close.
RED DEVIL

Win 50 times as a Red Hacker.
You will have to kill both Jim & Rebecca, leaving the host vulnerable to losing. The best way to do this is to take away his/her resources first; any citizens that are in the area. Also using a machine gun is best. Try using one partner as a shield and taking out the other, once one is down let go and press multiple times to perform a combo, taking the second partner out. Hopefully the host doesn't find a body to hack and the 10 seconds goes by quickly. This can be boosted with a minimum of 2 people.
MIND JACKER

Clear half of the scenes with Hackers present.

Using scene selection will not get you this trophy. You will need to start the game with hackers and play the game all the way up to scene 06-0. There are 30 scenes in the game, so half of that is 15. You can use the boosting thread to get this trophy and have a fellow member idle along while you progress or wait for a hacker to join and proceed with him/her. It doesn't matter which color hacker joins as long as you do every level up to 06-0 with a hacker present.

COUNTERATTACK

Successfully join forces with Rebecca to repel the terrorist attack.
Story related, cannot be missed. This will pop after you have completed part of the airport level section with Rebecca. It will pop during the saving game menu.
TERMINAL DEPARTURE

Evade enemy forces and escape San Mira Airport on the monorail.
Story related, cannot be missed. After killing some enemies, you will get another cutscene. You will hear a woman say the name of the airport; the trophy will soon follow.
DIGGING DOWN

Dig down into the truth behind the attack at the airport.
Story related, cannot be missed. Once you have gotten away from the fiery mess your enemies have made in the tunnels you will head up stairs into a room. That is where the trophy should pop. Jim says "that was close" and Rebecca adds a follow up comment "we still made it."
BREAKTHROUGH

Escape the security cordon.
Story related, cannot be missed.
This section is outside, you will fight a Golem after that fight is over you will end up on a roof where you will fight more foot soldiers that you will have to cross over to another roof using the catwalk. For this section you will need to defeat all the enemies in the area while watching out for the Hermes in the air. Don’t worry so much about the ship just defeat all the enemies in that area until a cutscene starts and the Hermes shoots down a ladder for you to use to get on another roof. Once you take out the enemies on that roof go to the door and the trophy will pop. Use cover often and remember that you need to have your characters alive to progress through the game.
PIECE OF THE PUZZLE

Obtain an important piece of the NERKAS puzzle.
Story related, cannot be missed.
Once you reach a section that looks like an upgraded library, a cutscene will take place and a new type of enemy will jump from a balcony from the same room. That is a boss battle. Use cover and aim, this enemy can take a lot of hits and cause a lot of damage. Having as many mind slaved enemies is key in this battle. There are a few citizens and a set of Gun wheels you can hack and have more people to cause damage to the enemy. After you cause enough damage a cutscene will take place and the trophy will soon follow, but the fun doesn’t end there.
SEARCH

Search the port for hidden bodies.
Story related, cannot be missed.
After the mini but massive battle with the swarmers and the foot soldiers you will enter a door, which will end that section and a saving screen will pop up; the trophy will soon follow. This section with the swarmers is not that hard just Slave all that can be slaved, hack any citizens and enemies that can be too. Having more people on your side the better. Use cover when you need to heal, going to the other side of the room will help with the healing process too.

If you haven't gotten either the MULTI-TASKER or the SCRATCHER yet this will be a good time to act upon getting them.
REUNION

Join forces with comrade in arms, Fernandez.
Story related, cannot be missed.
After finding out that Rebecca is also with the FIA (wow you're just now telling me). A big guerrilla Titan comes bashing through a metal door. Shoot the titan where the metal things are poking out of its back to cause the most damage. After a while the guerrilla will leave and you will soon follow after it.

Part 2: No Guerrilla but more Swarmers. If you haven't gotten either the MULTI-TASKER or the SCRATCHER yet this will be a good time to act upon getting them. There are more than enough enemies in this section to get those trophies. After you have defeated all of them the battle with the Titan resumes but with more foot soldiers!

Part 3: Use cover when you can but watch out for the titan, mind hack anyone and everything if you need to, but make sure you mind slave the foot soldiers to help aid the fight against the titan. Once the fight is kind of over there will be a cutscene and the trophy will soon follow.
QUICK MOVER

Working with Fernandez, make good time to NERKAS Campus.
Story related, cannot be missed.
You will now have a new partner and will need to work your way to the NERKAS Campus. This will be straight forward. With your normal gun, fight with foot soldiers up until you reach the Building
BETRAYED

Discover Fernandez's betrayal.
Story related, cannot be missed.
While this battle outside Nerkas is not really part of this trophy, I thought I'd mention it anyway. To defeat the Super Mech outside, you will need to shoot the guns/arms that shoots out the lasers, then the tail pipes on the back. The guard piece in the front (you will hear your partner say "half way there" or something like that) shoot under the mouth piece some more (make sure to go back to the ammo rack to the right (opposite side of the building) to get ammo). After a while the elevator to the right will open and more foot soldiers will come out, defeat them and the battle is over.

After you get into the building you will find out about the bodies. Fernandez will confront you, but you will be saved by Rebecca. You will now have to kill or in this case defeat Fernandez.

You think the battle is over. Well it's not. He will get back up and you will have to mind slave one of the flying mechs that shoots rockets and shoot the red lights. Be quick because the steroid mech is still active. The trophy will pop after all the lights are broken.
