Black Celebration Trophy in Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor

  • Black Celebration

Poison a Captain at his own Feast.

    How to unlock Black Celebration

A “Feast” is one of the seven types of Captain Power Struggles in the game. You can tell which type of event it is by highlighting it and reading the description, as well as the title at the top. In order to poison a captain during a Feast you must first complete the main story mission “Outcasts” and reach Power Tier 2, which will unlock the Poison ability.

To use poison you must walk up to a grog barrel and press , but make sure you aren’t seen poisoning it because they won’t drink from it if you are caught in the act. Use the Wraith Bow Distract (+) to move enemies away from the barrels, as well as outright killing stragglers. You can find the barrel by using Wraith Form () and locating the small green barrels with an explosive icon on it. At each Feast there are typically two or three barrels and the Captain will head over and drink whichever one you poison.

The moment the Captain takes a sip from the grog the trophy will unlock. If you are having trouble finding a Feast event just keep advancing time at a Forge Tower until the event appears.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoV8Fpt5H10 Before trying this you must have beaten the Story mission called "The Outcasts"! Feasts randomly show up on your map and are marked with a red icon. If no Feast is available then scroll over a Forge Tower on your map and advance the time. This will make 3 new events spawn. Do this until a Feast appears. There are multiple drinking bowls in each Feast. The Captain will walk from one bowl to the next. You must poison one of them without being seen and wait for the Captain to drink from it. If you are detected you must quit the game to try the event again!

  • Not too hard of a trophy to get. Here is the guide. http://youtu.be/Q8fiih0oW2A
  • Don't know if the guides above did this, but all I did was get their attention - lose their line of sight a decent/short length from the barrels - and poison the barrels. They go right back to them after their alert goes all the way down. It seems they go right to the closest barrel immediately after, so make sure you get that closest one poisoned first. You DON'T have to kill the captain with the poison, just poison him. Super simple as long as you're good with stealth to get the barrel poisoned out of their line of sight. I did it on my first try. It sounded like a difficult task at first, but the way I did it was ultra simple.
  • Video guide of Shadow of Mordor to get the achievement or trophy Black Celebration. For this you must follow the main story untill unlock the Poison skill. Once you have it take a Feast mision. (if it doesn't appear let time pass in the tower so it appears). You can see how to do it in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpnMmzdWgHk
  • To add to #7, you can kill all of the captain's men, hide, and then poison the drink. I was doing a feast and ended up getting caught, so I did that and after about 30 or so seconds the captain came and drank out of the barrel. The trophy popped for me after that.
