Overview:

-Number of Move controllers needed for Platinum: 2 and you will need 1 PS Eye as well.
-Number of microphones needed for Platinum: 2
-Missable trophies: None. You can go back and play every song at anytime you want.
-Glitched trophies: None that I am aware of but it has been reported that there can be some upload problems with Facebook.

Note: To play this game you will need at least one Move controller or one microphone. It is not possible to play this game with only a DualShock controller. Dancing requires Move while singing requires microphone.

Introduction:

Michael Jackson: The Experience is a sing and dance game for those who love MJ and his songs, or for those who are looking for a fast platinum; if you’re a person who learns fast and has patience. This game contains 29 of Michael’s awesome songs for you to dance and sing along with.

A few things you should think about when it comes to the trophies:

While going for all the “X different songs” you will see which songs that might be the easiest for you to achieve 5 stars on. There's no way you can tell which songs are the easiest since it depends on what you think is easy. Things you find easy, other people might find hard, while hard things for you can be easy for others.

After each song, if you’re using a PS Eye, you will be able to save pictures and videos taken from the “best” moments in the song. You will have to save 10 of each to get Monster Poses and Monster Breakdown. Also you will have the opportunity to upload the pictures to Facebook, you are required to do this to get the BackPack trophy (no longer possible due to the 4.78 Firmware update). Note that you’ll also need to have an internet connection to do so. Please see the mentioned trophies in the trophy guide for further details.

You can combine the dance and sing to speed things up a little. For example you can play with 1 Move and 2 mics to get the “X different songs” trophies for 1 Move and the “X different songs” trophies for 2 mics and then the other way around.

All sing related as well as dance related trophies are achievable while playing with two mics and/or two Moves except the trophies for playing as just one singer/dancer.

All 29 songs are available in short version but trophies are not achievable for playing the short versions, except photo and video trophies.

Walkthrough:

Step one – Dance

This step will probably be the hardest step for you. What you want to do is to get all the dance related trophies done for two reasons:

Dancing in this game is the hardest thing you’ll have to do to achieve the platinum. It's better to finish the hard stuff before going into the easier parts.

While dancing you’ll get used to the songs, which is very good if you have never listened to MJ very much so that you will know better how the songs are and how to sing when you’re going for the next step. Remember that it mostly takes a lot of practice to finally 5-star the song you’re working on.

After this step you should most likely have the Jackson Walk trophy.

Step two – Sing

If you've got all the dance related trophies this shouldn't be that difficult to do but it still might be a little challenging. As you have heard most songs over and over again you will know how high and/or low to pitch. If you're having any problem while singing you can always try to hum in the mic. That's how I did it and while doing this it's much easier to get the right pitch, plus it recognizes you better than when you sing words which will give you better points.

After this step you should most likely have Funky Rocks and Rock and Pop out of the way.

Step three – Multiplayer/Clean-up

Now you should have most of the trophies except the multiplayer trophies if you've followed the steps above, unless you’ve combined the singing and dancing. You may have missed some of the photo and video trophies but that should be no problem for you to get while doing the rest of the multiplayer trophies.

Save 10 videos

After each song you will be shown your score and how many stars you got on the song you just played. If you had a PS Eye plugged in during the song you will have the opportunity to press to see your “Best moments”. In here you can look at photos and a video of you playing the song. There’s usually 5 photos and 1 video for each song, unless you play a song in short version, then it’s only a few photos which varies from song to song. To save the photos or videos you want you have to press , and then the photo/video is stored on your HDD. You can watch the videos and look at your photos through the XMB.
Rock and Pop

Reach every gold note on 5 different songs

This one you should get while going for 5 stars on each difficulty. If not, the easiest songs for this are:

Will You Be There – Both MJ and Crew are easy, but Crew is slightly easier.
Stranger In Moscow – Only one simple gold note
I Just Can’t Stop Loving You – Only one easy gold note with both MJ and Siedah Garrett (Duo).
Streetwalker – Three gold notes, but they’re pretty hard to miss if you’ve heard the song before.
Heal The World

To play as Crew/Duo you’ll need to have a second mic.

Keep in mind that it is just my opinion of which songs are easiest. You might find other songs to be easier.
Funky Rocks

While singing, obtain at least 'OK' on every line

This one you should get while going for 5 stars on each difficulty. If not, there are many easy songs for this, and there is no specific song that is easier than another. Just pick a song you are pretty familiar with.
BackPack

Post 10 photos on your Facebook profile

No longer possible due to the 4.78 Firmware update.

To be able to post photos on your Facebook profile you'll need a Facebook account, if you haven't got that then you can register here. You’ll also need to have an Internet connection to your PS3. After you’ve made a Facebook account you have to enter Account Management under PlayStation Network in the XMB, Facebook and then set Publish Game Event Stories to “On” and type in your e-mail and password. Turn on the game and play which ever song you want to play. When the song is over and after you’ve entered the menu where you can see your photos taken during the song you can press to upload them to Facebook. The game will ask for your permission to do so. Just choose “Yes” and the game will start upload the chosen photo to your Facebook. After the photo is uploaded it’ll take about 50 seconds before you can upload another.

Jackson Walk

Achieve all gold moves on 5 different songs

This trophy you’ll most likely have after you have completed all the 5 star trophies on each difficulty. If not, the easiest songs for this are:

Will You Be There – There’s only one gold move which is very simple.
Smooth Criminal – If you play as Crew there are just two easy gold moves for you.
Stranger In Moscow – There’s three gold moves in this song, but they’re very easy as all you have to do is swing out your arm.
The Girl Is Mine – Contains one gold move with MJ and Paul McCartney (Crew) which is very simple do, since they’re basically the same move but in the opposite direction.
Remember The Time – Just one single gold move with both MJ and Iman which is very easy to pull off as it goes in slow-motion.

Keep in mind that it is just my opinion of which songs are easiest. You might find other songs to be easier.

Note: Getting all gold moves in a song with both MJ and Crew/Duo still only counts as one song.

Note: You must play 29 different songs which means it will still only count as one dance even if you play as both MJ and Crew at the same song.

Lock and Pop

Pretty self explanatory. Just play every song in the game with two singers.

As it seems you won't be able to use two BlueTooth or SingStar mics at the same time. You have to use two mics in two separate USB connectors.

You may combine this trophy with either 360 Airwalk or Zero Gravity Lean.
Zero Gravity Lean

29 different dances (at least 2 dancers)

Pretty self explanatory. Just play every song in the game with two dancers.

You may combine this trophy with either Side Glide or Lock and Pop.
Never-Ending Spin

Sing: Obtain 5 ★ on 4 different Hard songs

Note that it’s only four songs on Hard so you’ll have to complete them all.

Tips:
- If you play with two mics some songs can get easier as the song will be split up in different parts for the first and second singer so that you don’t have to sing as much as if you play with only one mic.
- Pick the songs you feel familiar with. It’s easier to sing along to a song that you’ve heard before.
- It’s easier to hum instead of singing words as the game register the voice better and it gets easier to hold the right pitch, which results in a higher score.
Toe Stand

Tips:
- Watch closely how MJ or Crew/Duo do their moves if you notice you only get “X” or “OK” for something that feels like “Perfect”. You can’t always just follow the scrolling moves on the left/right side of the screen. They’re not always very accurate or obvious. The thing you want to follow with your Move controller is the purple arm of the scrolling “stick man” on the side of the screen, and the white glove on the dancer’s left hand.
- If you want to put time and effort into some of the songs to learn the moves that have MJ and Crew/Duo at different difficulties you can get two songs instead of only one, as there's only a few moves that are different between MJ and Crew/Duo. By doing this you might save yourself from having to beat a harder song.
- Don’t be stiff. Try to really dance and don’t just use the right hand. It makes it easier for you to feel and keep the rhythm.
- Practice. Practice. Practice, and be patient. Remember, practice makes perfect.
