Introduction:

Max: The Curse Of Brotherhood is a very fun action puzzle platformer where you take on the role of Max who wished for his brother to be taken away, but when it really happens, follows him into another world to try to get him back. Armed with your magic marker, you must make your way through multiple levels filled with puzzles that can only be solved by new magically skills you acquire along the way.

Trophy-wise, the game is a good mixture of collectibles, level completion and other miscellaneous trophies. Most of them are fairly easy with only a few of them being a decent challenge.


Walkthrough:

Step 1 - Play through and beat the game

Just start the game and play through it until you finish the game. While doing this step, you will want to try to collect as many eyes and amulet pieces as you can so that can cut down on how many levels you will need to replay later on.

By the end of this step you will have obtained the following trophies:

Step 2 - Clean-up via level select

Now that you have finished the game, it's time to go back and clean up any remaining trophies that you have left to get via level select.

    For this trophy you must complete the level Anotherworld (Chapter 1-2) in under 5 minutes. Just keep moving forward as quickly as possible platforming/climbing until you reach the top of the tree where the old lady is located. This might take a few tries as you learn how the level is setup and what you need to do in order to complete it. Once you finish it under 5 minutes, the trophy will pop.

  • One Sea of Sand, 2 earth pillars, 3 drawings - piece of cake.

    At the end of the level Sea of Sand (Chapter 1-3) you will come to 2 earth pillars that you need to use to reach the upper right platform. For this trophy you can only make 3 drawings to reach the top. To do this, raise the first pillar up to a little above your height, then jump to it. Raise the other one up higher so that you can still jump to it and then do that. Now get your marker ready near the bottom of that earth pillar and quickly destroy it then create a new one so you fall onto it and then raise it all the way to the top. After you jump over to the higher section to the left to end the level, the trophy will pop.

  • You found and assembled 12 pieces of the lost Amulet.

  • You destroyed 50 of Mustacho's Evil Eyes. His control is diminishing!

  • You tamed the Spikester! ...Lucky you.

    In the stage Black Rock Canyon (Chapter 1-4), you will come to a spot with a Spikester on a raised section above you and a suction cup type enemy to your right on the ceiling of another raised section. Create an earth pillar up to the Spikerster's platform and wait for it to move on to it, then destroy it dropping it to the lower level. Wait until the Spikester moves under the suction cup enemy and get picked up, then dropped back down with it attached to it. Now just run over and jump on top of it and ride it for a little while until the trophy pops.

  • Time Marches On (Rang a bell).

    In the stage The Crossing (Chapter 1-5), you will come to an area in the town where you need to use ropes and earth pillars to avoid 2 enemies (one coming at your from both sides of you. Make your way up to the wooden platform above them with an earth pillar and then jump on the rope to the left side of it. Swing back and forth until you can jump to the rope to your left which is hanging from a bell. When you grab that rope, just swing back and forth to ring the bell a few times then jump off of it. After you complete that, the trophy will pop.

  • Killed a Bomber with his own bomb.

    In the stage Into The Wild (Chapter 2-2), you will come to a spot with a bomber on an upper platform with another enemy below him on a lower one. Use the earth pillar spot in front of you to raise one all the way up to block the bombers bombs he throws so they drop down. Next, use the branch draw spot to make one to head to the left down towards the other enemy so the bombs will bounce off it and land by the enemy down there to destroy him. After the one is destroyed, get your marker ready by the earth pillar spot on the lower left area to raise up once a bomb lands on it so you can bring it to right under the bomber, killing him with his own bomb. Once you do that, the trophy will pop.

  • You completed a level without dying.

    The level Anotherworld (Chapter 1-2) is probably the easiest level to do this one on as it is mainly just platforming. Play through the stage trying not to die, but also getting a feel for it so if you do die, you can just re-select it from level select at the main menu to try again.

    You will need to complete a few of the later levels without dying in order to get other trophies (like Immune to Lava), so you can link this one with one of those as well if you choose. Whatever level you decide to try to complete without dying, once you accomplish that feat, the trophy will pop.

  • You didn't die in Death By Lava.

    For this trophy, you must finish the level Death By Lava (Chapter 6-3) without dying. The stage takes place in two phases.

    In the first phase, you need to escape the chasing beast by moving forward in the level, using your magic powers as you go along in order to advance. When you get the end of the section, shoot a fire ball at the beast to reveal the locked door in front of you. Shoot a fireball at one of the locks and then another one at the beast. Repeat with the other lock and then the beast again before advancing forward. When you get to the end the bridge, raise the earth pillar to topple the bridge backwards knocking it and the beast in to the lava below (just make sure you get on the earth pillar yourself so you don't fall in as well).

    The second phase takes place right after that while the lava below you is rising. You must create a vine from up above and attach it to your earth pillar, then climb up it in order to reach the small hole on the left hand wall. After that you will enter a section where you need to run through a cave until you get to an earth pillar spot to raise you up into next area. In this area, you must climb upwards using ladders, ropes and your magic powers to avoid the rising lava. The most tricky part of this can be one or two of the ladder sections as they can be crappy to grab hold of as you just jump off them instead of grabbing on, so pay close attention when you are doing them.

    Once you finish the level without dying, the trophy will pop.

  • You defeated Mustacho and saved your brother!

    See No Stranger to Danger.

  • You defeated Mustacho without dying even once!

    To obtain this trophy, you must beat Mustacho without dying. If you die during the battle, you will need to restart the level in order to reset the death count for it.

    Mustacho is the final boss of the game and has 2 "phases".

    During the first one, he has 2 main attacks that he uses at the beginning of the battle. The first is where he will slam his fist down at your 3 times in a row. Just keep moving back and forth in order to avoid them. When he finishes the ground hits, he will move one his hands (the one furthest from you) to one of the corners getting ready to slap you. You must shoot a fireball from the closest fireball spot to hit the hand before he attacks you to stop it.

    Your goals during the first step are as follows. The first thing you must do is to get him to do a ground smash both sides of the ground level (you'll see the shiny tiles) to reveal earth pillar spots. Once they are revealed, avoid the next set of ground pounds and then position yourself on one top of one of the earth pillar spots. When he gets ready to do his slap, hit the hand with the fireball, then quickly raise yourself up and jump to the platform by you. When you get up there, quickly shoot a fireball at his head before he does a spit attack. After you hit him, use the water stream spot to raise you up to the ladder in the top middle of the screen and climb up it. At the top, use your branch powers on the top of the machine there to create a lightening rod, which will knock you back to the ground level again. Repeat your previous steps to get up to one of the side platforms again, but this time after you hit his head with the fireball, connect the top electrical parts with a vine, then hit him with another fireball and then connect the side electrical parts with another vine. When you get knocked down to the ground again, repeat the same thing for the other side.

    Once you have the electrical parts connected on both sides, phase 2 of the fight will begin. He will still do the same two attacks in a row, but he will then follow it up with a spitting type attack where he just spews out liquid and moves it towards where you are located. You must hit him with a fireball before you get hit by it in order to stop the attack. Keep rinsing and repeating those steps until he has taken enough damage to drop his head to the ground. When he does, you need to connect the nodes on his head to the nodes on the side platforms with vines. Once you do, it will finish him off.

    Once you finish the fight without dying, the trophy will pop.

  • You escaped the Beast without dying!

    For this trophy you must finish the level Sliding Escape (Chapter 3-3) without dying. The majority of the stage is you running and sliding away from the Beast who is chasing you. You will have to jump over obstacles and pits while using your magic abilities on occasion to help advance you forward. Just keep holding forward through out the entire stage so you keep moving when you hit even ground as you want to keep as much distance between you and the beast as possible in order to give you time to react to the level as it unfolds. Once you finish the level without dying, the trophy will pop.

  • You lit 25 enemies on fire. Oh the things one does for brotherly love.

    You unlock the fire ability in the level Chamber Of Fire (Chapter 5-2). Once unlocked, you just need to defeat 25 enemies with the fireball. There are plenty of enemies throughout the chapters following when you get the fire, so just play through normal, killing all of them that you find along the way.

    If you are missing any by the time you finish the game, just go back to any of the later levels and kill enemies to finish off how many you still needed. Once you have killed 25 enemies with the fire, the trophy will pop.

  • You drew 200 branches.

    You will unlock the branches in the level Roots (Chapter 2-1). You will probably get this just by playing through the game normally, but if you still don't have it by the time you finish the game, just load any of the later levels and just keep creating branches over and over again until you get the remaining ones you need. Once you have drawn 200 branches, the trophy will pop.

  • You destroyed 25 of Mustacho's Evil Eyes. Consider his surveillance network impaired.

  • You drew 200 vines.

    You will unlock the vines in the level Father Oak (Chapter 2-3). You will probably get this just by playing through the game normally, but if you still don't have it by the time you finish the game, just load any of the mid to later levels and just keep creating vines and cutting them down over and over again until you get the remaining ones you need. Once you have drawn 200 vines, the trophy will pop.
     

  • You drew 200 water streams.

    You unlock the water streams in the level Sacred Pool (Chapter 4-1). You will probably get this just by playing through the game normally, but if you still don't have it by the time you finish the game, just load any of the later levels and just keep creating water streams over and over again until you get the remaining ones you need. Once you have drawn 200 water streams, the trophy will pop.

  • You made 5 critters explode and survived it. Your clothes might need a rinse though.

    Critters are little frog like creatures you find in the first half of the game in different levels. In order to make them explode you need to just run up and touch them, then they will inflate up and then explode into a gas mist. In order to avoid being killed by their explosion you must run away before they explode. Once you have caused 5 critters to explode without dying from their explosions, the trophy will pop.

  • You found and assembled 6 pieces of the lost Amulet.

  • You used the Magic Marker 25 times.

    You will get this just by playing through the game as you will need to use your Magic Marker more than 25 times in order to finish the game. Once you have used your Magic Marker 25 times, the trophy will pop.

  • It's all in the fingers and fiery balls of death.

    For this trophy you must kill 2 enemies with one fireball attack. There are few good spots to get this one, but I think the easiest is on The Tower stage (Chapter 7-1). After you ride the water streams to grab a ladder, you will need to destroy a barricade on your left hand side. Once you destroy it, 2 enemies will come out after you. Go back to the ladder and climb down it so you're below the floor there and wait for them to group together above you, then shoot a fireball in between them to take them both out. Once you kill 2 with one blast, the trophy will pop.

  • Up you go.

    Story related, can not be missed.

    In the stage The Crossing (Chapter 1-5), you will come to a wall area that you will need to pull out a box and flip it onto an earth pillar spot in order to use it to raise yourself up high enough to get to the rope that will let you advance in the stage. After you jump off the rope to the higher section to advance, the trophy will pop.

  • No evil is safe from you and your grabby hands.

    Mustacho has 75 evil eyes scattered all across the different levels. When you find an eye, you need to come into contact with the eye and then hit to rip it out of the wall/ceiling. You can view how many eyes are in the stage you are on by either pausing the game or viewing it from the level select screen. When you grab an eye, it will fill in the associated block for it, so if you are missing any, just look for the levels with unfilled boxes on them.

    Here is a list of all the locations for the different levels:

    Sea Of Sand (Chapter 1-3):

    • It will be on a raised stone platform right after you jump over the first two sinking stone pillars
    • Right after the previous one you will run under a stone skull that will drop onto the lower platform. There will be 2 of his eyes in the sockets of that a stone skull (you can either jump up there on your own or push down the block from the upper section next to it to jump off of)
    • Right past where you meet your first spikester, you will raise a platform to cross some quick sand & on the other side there will be an eye on a raise platform above you (just make a small earth pillar to reach it)
    • After going down the rope where you must make an earth pillar appear at the bottom to avoid the quick sand, go under the raised platform to your right and make your way up to the next platform with the critter on an earth pillar, then destroy that pillar and make a new, higher one and jump to the raised platform to your left to find another eye


    Black Rock Canyon (Chapter 1-4):

    • Right at the beginning of the stage, make your way to the very bottom of the first drop and you will find one on the wall to the left
    • Right after you solve the boulder/draw bridge puzzle, stand on the earth pillar and raise it towards the left side of the screen so when you reach it's height, you can jump up to the left upper platform there where there is another eye
    • When you reach the section where you need to solve the puzzle with with Spikester on the upper right platform to get to the rope in the upper left side, get the Spikester up to the platform where the rope is, then head to where it was when you started the area to find an eye hanging from the upper wall there
    • After climbing the rope from the previous one, head to the top of that area and then drop down into the first hole there to find one down there on the left


    The Crossing (Chapter 1-5):

    • When you reach the area where you need to avoid 2 enemies by swinging/climbing & using earth pillars, make your way to a raised platform with a rope hangining down from it on the left side. Grab it and begin swinging back and forth and then jump to the rope hanging from the bell on the left. From there swing and jump up to the platform to the upper left of it to find an eye on it
    • After crossing a wooden beam roof, you will come to a spot where you need to get past an enemy using earth pillars and ropes to get to the next raised platform. Once you get to that platform, head to the next rope and then to the platform on your left. Keep going left across the rope there to another raised platform above where you avoided the enemy to find an eye on it
    • When you reach the wall where you need to use the box to get yourself raise up so you can reach the rope up there, instead of going to the right, jump to the platform on the left to find an eye
    • When you are dropping down the other side of the wall, when you come to the bottom rope just above the thorn floor, swing yourself to the far left platform to find an eye on the wall there


    Roots (Chapter 2-1):

    • When you come to the spot where there are a bunch of spiked bottom platforms that fall on you, get on top of the last section of them and onto the rope there. Make your you way up to the other rope to the upper left of you and then to the platform to the upper left of that one to find an eye on the wall up there
    • After you get the ability to draw branches, make your way back to the very top of that area, then make a branch from the upper right spot and loop it down to the platform to the lower right of it to find an eye on ceiling above it
    • As your making your way out of the cave you will come to a spot with thorns below you and a branch draw spot across from you. If you look able you there is an eye on the ceiling there, so just draw a branch over towards it and jump up to get it


    Into The Wild (Chapter 2-2):

    • After sliding down the slope and seeing the beat in the background for the first time, you will come to a spot with thorns on the ground and branch draw spots on each side with an earth pillar spot in the middle of the thorns. Bring up the earth pillar, the make a branch from the left to it. Make another long straight branch from the spot on the upper right, then break it to drop it onto the earth pillar creating a bridge to the small lower right platform. Go across it to collect the eye there
    • When you come to a spot with a bomber on a raised platform and another enemy on the ground to your left, you must take them both out with the bombers bombs, then use the earth pillar spot to the bottom left portion to raise you up to where the bomber was to find an eye behind where he was located
    • You will come to a spot where you are on a wooden structure above an enemy underneath you and a falling spike platform to your far right. Use the branch draw spot there to draw one straight out so it goes under the platform there, then run all the way over to the far wall there. The branch will hold up the platform, so wait for the enemy to get under the platform and then destroy the branch so the platform drops on him. Jump over platform and head all the way to the left to find an eye on the back wall of the wooden structure
    • After the beast knocks over the tree and you stop it with a branch, raise it up with an earth pillar and get to the other side of the stump, then destroy the pillar so you can get up on the tree. Raise it back up all the way with another earth pillar, then make your way across the vines to the left until you reach a platform with the eye on it
    • When you cross a bridge type structure, drop down on to a wood cage and then make you way back to the left. Jump up on the stone block and then create an earth pillar to raise it up all the way, then jump up to grab the eye hanging from the under part of the bridge there


    Father Oak (Chapter 2-3):

    • At the beginning, after crossing a thorn pit with a branch you will see an eye on an upper wooden platform to your right. Create a circular branch and break it off, then drag it over to the earth pillar spot, jump on top of it and raise the earth pillar all the way up so you can jump on to the wooden platform and collect the eye
    • When climbing the tree, you will climb through a section of roped logs creating platforms. Jump to the left and head all the way to the end of that branch to find an eye
    • After crossing a gap by using a branch/vine combo, on the other side you will have to drop down to a branch you must draw to continue on. Once on that branch, head to the left down the large branch and you will see an eye in the upper left on a tree. Create a circular type branch from the lower spot and drag it over by the eye, then jump on top and make another curved branch from the spot under the eye so you can climb up it to reach the eye
    • After you escape the beast by activating the swinging hammer, climb up to to the next level and you will find an eye against the left wall there

    Tomb Of The Giants (Chapter 2-4):

    • At the beginning of the stage where you need to swing across to a created branch off of a wooden platform set, there will be an eye on the top wooden platform there
    • After entering the tomb and breaking through the wooden floor, drop down and there will be an eye to your left about half way up the wall there
    • When you enter the large area of the tomb, create a branch out of the spot above you that goes straight out and then attach a vine from the spot below you to it. Climb up the vine and up on to the branch, then look to the upper left wall there to find an eye
    • In the large area of the tomb, head to the far right side and ride up a created earth pillar, then drop down a vine from the spot on the ceiling above you. Jump over to the platform with the skull on it and the eye will be on the wall behind it
    • In the large area of the tomb, where you find the skull in the upper left section, it will be hanging from the ceiling there. Push the skull to the left a little to use as a platform to jump higher and create a branch that leads up to the eye, jump to it and grab the eye


    Lost In The Dark (Chapter 3-1):

    • After climbing through the crawl space at the beginning, head to the right, jump over the gap, then up to the middle platform to your left. Jump up to the small alcove on the left of that platform to find an eye on the wall
    • After riding up a tall earth pillar, head into the next room to you right. Push the stone block all the way to the right, then jump up the ledges until you find the eye on the wall up there
    • When you come to a very narrow spot where you must use a branch spot to create a branch to climb up it, at the very top of that spot hanging from the ceiling slightly to the left is another eye
    • In the area where you have two ground earth pillar spots that you need to use to grab a stone block from the right, pull the stone block out and then head to the right into the area it was blocking. Use the branch spot there to make a branch up to the eye which is in the upper right corner there
    • While making you way through the section with all the grabby creatures, after dropping down a vine you will come to a spot with a vine spot in the ceiling and if you look to the right wall you will see an eye hanging there. Drop down the hole there to find an earth pillar spot and ride it all the way up, then use the vine to swing over to the grab the eye


    Lantern Bugs (Chapter 3-2):

    • After crossing an area with a bunch of lantern bugs by some platforms, when you make it to the other side, right above you will be an eye on a platform. Use the branch spot to create a little branch to grab on to in order to get up to the first platform, then jump over to the other one to get the eye
    • After you drop down in the log, use the vine to save yourself from falling into the water, then create a branch from the spot on the far right wall. Swing to the branch and then run over to get the eye there
    • After making your way out of the gap you fell in when the log broke you will come to a spot with 2 branch spots and a bunch of lantern bugs in between them. Create a branch above all of the bugs and then break it so they are trapped at the bottom area, then create a branch for you to climb up towards the upper right portion there to find an eye up there
    • When you come to an area with a large open section with alot of lantern bugs where you need to make it to a higher section to the upper right, you will see an eye on the lower right portion of the screen. You must create a branch from the upper right section, connect a vine to it form the lower left part and then break the branch and trap all the lantern bugs so you cross while jumping over them to make it to the eye on the other side
    • Right past the last the one you will see one hanging from a branch to the upper right, so create a branch from the lower spot that leads up to it so you can grab it


    Sliding Escape (Chapter 3-3):

    • After getting rid of the beast with the spikester, take the earth pillar all the way up and then head to the right. If you look above you as you go you will see an eye hanging from the ceiling there, so create a branch up there to grab it
    • In the same spot, if you look across the thorn pit to the upper right corner, you will see another eye on the wall/ceiling up there, so make another branch up there to grab that one
    • In the same area, create an arching branch over the thorn pit and then climb to the top of it and break it off. Go to the right side of it and drag it to the right as far as you can. You will see the eye in the upper left corner of the ceiling there, so climb up the arc branch and grab it


    The Sacred Pool (Chapter 4-1):

    • When you come to a bunch of wooden platforms over the water where you need to create a branch to reach the other side, you will see an eye below you. Make it to those platforms then break the branch so it falls in the water and floats under you. When it comes out the other side, quickly jump onto it and then onto the lower platform to grab the eye
    • When riding the branch from the spot above, when you come to a stop, crawl under the dock there to find an eye underneath there
    • When you come to a place where you are on a higher section and there is a water stream spot below you and one on the ground, safely make your way down to the ground level and then go to the right and push the stone block through the hole into the hidden alcove. Climb up on it to reach the eye on the raised section in there
    • You will come to a spot where there are 3 water stream spots on an angles section heading to the upper left. Create the water streams so that they blast you up to the little ledge in the upper right (or use grab the rope and swing to it). When you reach it, crawl through the path there and you will find an eye in the other room right in front of you


    The Great Fall (Chapter 4-2):

    • After you drop down the water fall and stop, climb up to the top of the wooden platform there and you will see the eye below you. Jump down to the stone section to your right to find a branch and water stream spot. Create a water stream that shoots up towards you as much as possible, then create a branch and break it so it shoots up onto where you are standing. Push it to the left to land in the water there, then jump across it so you can get to the spot where the eye is located
    • In the same spot where you found the water stream and branch spot, create a water stream that aims straight across at the far wall across the gap, then make a branch straight across above it. Jump on the branch and then break it to get shot across the gap to the other side where you will find an eye on the ground over there
    • When you come to the area where you need to knock down a standing log to proceed, knock it down, then get over to the base of where it fell. Use the water stream to lift it up and then create a branch to hold it up. Make a new water blast that takes you to the area right below the top of the log where the eye is to collect it
    • Just past where you dealt with the log mentioned above, you will have to create a long branch to make it across a gap. When you get to the stone spot that the branch draw spot is on, create another branch that loops around towards the wooden platforms in the upper right of the screen. Make your way up them and you will find an eye on the top one
    • When you come to the spot with the slide spot with a lot of water streams around the area. Make a water stream from the one closest to you and bend it around the rock there with the end aiming slightly up towards the left then jump in it and try to land on the small section in the upper left side of the wall where there is an eye on the ceiling there

    Getting Warmer (Chapter 5-1):

    • In the spot where you need to cool off a lava monster, then use it with an earth pillar to reach the top section, jump to left side of that upper part to find an eye hanging from the ceiling
    • In the area with the 2 lava geysers and the water stream spot, create a water stream to the little section at the top there, then ride it up to find an eye hanging from the ceiling
    • After passing the section with the sinking platforms and the vine you must create to swing across to other ones, you will come to a spot with a lava geyser in the middle and two water stream spots on the left side. Aim the bottom water stream straight up and the higher one up as well into the semi-hidden hole in the ceiling there, then ride them up to the hidden area and go to your left until it show where you just were. Create a branch that comes down and to the right, then attach a vine to it. Drop down and climb over to the branch to find an eye on the side of the wall by it
    • After dropping down into an area with a breakable wall to the right, push the stone block over to the earth pillar spot, jump on top of it and ride it all the way to the top to find an eye on the ceiling right above you
    • After you get past the lava monster section where you need to raise 3 earth pillars to make it across the lava you see a vine draw spot on the ceiling above you. Climb all the way to the top of it to reveal a hidden area with another vine draw spot. Drop down the vine from up there, then swing to it to climb up there. Head to the left and crawl all the way through the area there and when you come out the other side you will drop down by an eye to your left


    Chamber Of Fire (Chapter 5-2):

    • After using a fireball to make a hole in the ground, drop down and head to your right and crawl under the section there to find an eye at the end there
    • When you get to the pipe area, destroy the top most pipe and then create a circular branch from the spot on the right and cut it so it drops down to you. Move it to just below the hanging pipe and jump up to it. Once on that pipe, create another branch and transfer the fire to it, then shoot the shiny rock in the upper left there to reveal a water stream spot. Make a water stream that loops down enough for you to jump into it and then back up to shoot you on the higher platform there where the eye is located
    • Make your way to the bottom pipe there and get on the left hand side of it before hitting it with a fireball. Look to the lower left ground area to find an earth pillar spot and bring one up to your level. After you get on it, destroy it and then make another one to lift you up to the ladder there. Climb the ladder and at the top will be the eye to your right
    • When you reach the room with the enemies, head all the way to the right and use the fireballs to kill them. Make a branch and light it up with the fireball, then break it and drag it to the far left side of the room. Use the fireball on the shiny block there to reveal a branch spot. Make a branch and jump to grab the eye on the wall there


    Mustacho's Dungeon (Chapter 6-1):

    • When you get to the spot with all the enemies and the red button on the ground, take out the enemies and then go through the door on your right. There will be an eye hanging from the ceiling on the back of that room
    • After you get off the elevator in the room with 6 doors on different platforms, kill the enemies and then blow open the lower right door. Make a branch with a little arch it, break it and then drag it in to that room so you can use it grab an eye on the ceiling right after you enter
    • Make your way up to the top right platform and then create a branch going across the center of the room and drop a vine from the ceiling, then swing across to the top left platform. Destroy the door there and enter the room to find an eye on the left wall there
    • After you get to the area where you see your brother below you, head to the right and climb under the section there to another room where you will find an eye behind you on the left wall
    • When you reach your brother, connect a vine to his cage and slice it so you can swing from it to the platform above the gate on your left. Drop a vine from the ceiling there and use it to swing to the eye that is on the upper backside of the gate


    Break Out (Chapter 6-2):

    • When you come to large drop section where you must swing your brother down it using vines, attach him to the top left vine spot and then swing yourself over there to land on top of him. Walk to the right and you will find an eye on the wall there
    • When you get to the gate at the bottom of the area mentioned above, drop the vine and swing to the upper left platform to find an eye on the ceiling there
    • When you get to the spot where you brother's cage keeps getting knocked up in the air, use the branch to divert him around the top section so he will hit the button to let you through. Run over to him and jump on top of his cage and then to the platform to your left. From there jump to the branch you created to divert him, make another one from the spot above you and attach a vine to it before cutting it so it falls to you to climb up. Once on the branch, create another vine to climb up and jump to the platform on the right to find the eye
    • After passing through a few gates just past the previously mentioned area, you will see a water stream spot under the platform you are on. Have it shoot straight up to the rope hanging from the ceiling and ride it up. Climb the rope to the upper right section to find an eye up there


    The Tower (Chapter 7-1):

    • Right after you watch your brother get taken up the elevator, go to your right and raise yourself up on the ground pillar there. Use the water stream spots to land you on the wooden platforms to your upper right, then jump over to the far right one to grab the eye sitting there
    • When you get to where there is a bomber on a lower left platform from you, take him out by using a branch to knock his bomb back at him. Once he is dead, create a new branch that arches around underneath the platform you are on so you can get the eye that is hanging from the ceiling there
    • After you see your brother being taken up another elevator, head into the next area and create a straight branch on the upper right wall, then use the water stream to shoot you over there. The eye will above you on the ceiling there
    • After you complete the power vine puzzle to make the elevator appear, take it up one level and then head outside to your right. Create a branch above you and then attach a vine to it and cut it so it dangles down for you. Use the water stream below you to shoot yourself up to the vine and climb it onto the branch. To your left on the little ledge there will be an eye
    • After seeing your brother going up an elevator for the third time, climb the ladder to the top and then head to the far right and create a vine below you. Drop down on to it and then swing jump to the rope there. From the rope, you must swing jump over to where the eye is hanging on the wall to grab it (keep tapping as you are going by to make sure you grab it)


    Once you grab all 75 of the evil eyes, the trophy will pop.

  • You found and assembled the entire Amulet for the Old Lady!

    There are a total of 18 amulet piece scattered across the different stages. Here are the locations in each of the stages:

    Amulet Piece Loations:

    • Sea Of Sand (Chapter 1-3): You will come to a spot where you need to make 4 earth pillars appear with your marker in order to cross the quicksand. Make the pillars small so you can jump across them to the lower section across from you as there will be an amulet piece just to the left of there
    • Black Rock Canyon (Chapter 1-4): You will come to a spot with a Spikester on a raised section above you and a suction cup type enemy to your right on the ceiling of another raised section. Create an earth pillar up to the Spikester's platform and wait for it to move on to it, then destroy it dropping it to the lower level. Wait until the Spikester moves under the suction cup enemy and get picked up, then dropped back down with it attached to it. Jump on top of it and when you get back to where you can make the earth pillar, create one up to where the upper platform is so the Spikester can move back and forth between it and the pillar. Once it's back on the pillar, jump up to the upper right platform to collect the amulet piece
    • The Crossing (Chapter 1-5): After completing a section where you need get past an enemy by using ropes & earth pillars you will go over a roof to the next area. If you look below you from the roof you will see a critter and a hole going into the structure you just went over. Drop down and avoid the critter and crawl into the hole, then move to the earth pillar spot and raise it all the way up and jump up to get the amulet piece
    • Roots (Chapter 2-1): When coming out from where you get the branch drawing ability, you will come a spot with thorns below you with 2 branch draw spots on either side of it. Make your way down to the lower left area there and then climb down the vine there into the next area. Head to the left and move the box under the vine for later and then go through the hole it was blocking. In the next room the amulet piece will be in the upper left corner of the room. In order to get up there, make a long winding vine from the lower of the two spots on the right, then break it and use it as a platform to get up a branch you will make on the left side spot. Once on the left one, make a new vine down towards it from the lower of the ones on the right and then climb up it and jump up to a branch from the one above it. Now destroy the branch below you and make a new one aimed towards the amulet piece and then run across it and jump to collect the amulet piece
    • Into The Wild (Chapter 2-2): You will get to a section with a broke bridge and a thorn section underneath the gap with a branch draw spot on the lower right and an earth pillar draw spot just to the left of it. Draw a branch as long as you can towards the left and then break it off. Next raise an earth pillar about half way up the hole with the branch being laid across it, then jump to it and get to the earth pillar to balance everything out. Now move your marker to the lower left section of the screen to find a hidden branch draw spot and make a branch upwards and to the right towards you, then jump to it and go into the hidden alcove area there to find the amulet piece.
    • Father Oak (Chapter 2-3): When you reach the section where you need to slide down and jump over critters and a Spikester, then create vines while time slows down, when you reach the second vine, climb to the top and create a branch from the draw point above you on the left and attach as long of a vine as you can from the draw point at the top of the screen, then slice the vine to drop it down by you. Jump carefully from your vine to that one and climb up it on to the branch you created. Create a new vine from the top draw spot and jump to it, then swing back and forth to get enough speed to jump to the amulet piece in the upper left section there
    • Tomb Of The Giants (Chapter 2-4): In the large area of the tomb where you must get the skulls to drop in the hole, make your way up to the top area and over to the section in the upper left where you find one of the skulls. While on that side, look across the wall to the right side area to see branch spot and create one that goes across at a slight angle down. Drop down and make your way over to the left side, create a vine from the ceiling spot and climb up to the little alcove on the upper right. Cut the vine, then create another one that attaches to the branch above you. Climb up the vine and then on top of the branch before jumping up to collect the amulet piece there
    • Lost In The Dark (Chapter 3-1): When you come to an area where you must create a vine from the ceiling, then swing to a lower section, keep heading to the left and up the platforms until you see a glowing spider looking statue. From there, jump to the left and head up until you see the branch spot in the ceiling up above you. Create a branch that goes down and to the left, then cut the vine from the spot to your left and create a new one to attach to the branch. Climb up the vine and jump to the earth platform to the right, then jump over and collect the amulet piece
    • Lantern Bugs (Chapter 3-2): When you come to the spot where the log breaks and drops you down, quickly create a vine to your left and jump to it to avoid falling into the water from the log. Next create a branch on the right side of the screen and swing to it, then run all the way to the stone portion on the wall and destroy that branch. Create a new branch that angles down towards the lower left and move down it to reveal a hidden earth pillar draw spot on the bottom left of the screen and create one that goes up about a little under half way up. Go back to the stone section to your right and destroy the branch, then create a new one up towards the vine and jump to it. Swing on the vine and jump off to land on the earth pillar you created, then destroy it to drop to the stone platform underneath you. When you land, just walk to the left to collect the amulet piece
    • Sliding Escape (Chapter 3-3): After getting rid of the beast with the spikester at the beginning of the stage, ride up the earth pillar to the top area and make your way over to the thorn pit there. Create a branch that loops around up into the gap above you towards the left side up there. Climb up it and you will see the amulet piece up there, so jump up to collect it
    • The Sacred Pool (Chapter 4-1): After you get the water stream ability, make your way until the spot where you create a little one to safely drop down, then head to your left. You will come to a spot where you need to create a water stream to cross a large gap, but instead of doing that, create a water stream up into the opening in the ceiling above you and then ride it up into the alcove up there. The amulet piece will be up there to your left.
    • The Great Fall (Chapter 4-2): When you come to the spot where you knock the standing log over, make it to the base of there and then create a branch above you that is angling up a little. Jump on the fallen log and then onto the branch to make your way up to the section in the upper left behind it where the amulet piece is hidden
    • Getting Warmer (Chapter 5-1): When you come to the spot where you must use a water stream on a lava blob to turn it into a stone, then move it to an earth pillar spot and ride it up in order to reach the higher area, turn around and jump to the left small section there. Jump up towards the upper left to find a hidden area & drop down the vine from the ceiling to climb up to the small alcove where the amulet piece is located
    • Chamber Of Fire (Chapter 5-2): After you get the fireball attack, head to the next area and destroy the walls by the fireball draw spot, then hit the stalactite on the ceiling to drop it. Jump up on it and then to the left and jump up into the hole above the fireball draw spot. In that little room, just jump up to the left to collect the amulet piece
    • Mustacho's Dungeon (Chapter 6-1): When you get into the section with the 6 doors, destroy the bottom & middle ones on your right, then go through the bottom one. Ride up the earth pillar there to the next level and go back into the previous room with the doors. Create a vine that arches up and around towards the top right platform and then one that arches down & around towards that one from the one above it to be able to climb up to that top platform. Once up there, break the top branch and create a new one that goes straight to the right towards the door way. Transfer the fire to the branch below you, then to the branch you just created from that one. Break the top branch and drag it into the room to the right and use the fire off it to destroy the blocks against the right wall. Go through it and drop down to the bottom area there, then create a branch from the middle part and jump to it. Break the branch and make one going in the opposite direct and then transfer the fire to it. Next connect a vine to it and break it so it falls and dangles by the lower left path there, then make your way down to that path. Use the fire from the branch to break the door there and go inside to find the amulet piece right in your path there
    • Break Out (Chapter 6-2): When you enter the room with the 2 bomb throwing enemies on top of either side of the room, create a branch and break it, then transfer the fire to it. When it's safe, run to the branch and drag it onto the earth pillar spot, then run back to safety. Raise the earth pillar up and then use the fire to kill both enemies and destroy the blocks behind the one that was on the left. Drop the earth pillar and then ride it up yourself and jump to the left platform to go through the hole you made. In the other room will be the amulet piece on the left hand side
    • Death By Lava (Chapter 6-3): At the very end of the stage when you are riding the water stream through the chopping blade area, when you are coming out of that section, aim your water stream straight so that it will toss you to a hanging platform on the ceiling up there. The amulet piece will be on that platform on the right side
    • The Tower (Chapter (7-1): When you complete the vine/energy puzzle to activate the elevator, ride it up, but don't get off at the first stop, wait until it goes up to the second level. The amulet piece will be up there to the right

    Once you have obtained all 18 of the amulet pieces, the trophy will pop.

  • You stole back your kid brother like a boss!

    In the level Breakout (Chapter 6-2), you must make it through the entire level without you or your brother dying during it. If either of you die, then you must restart the level from the beginning.

    There isn't too much you need to worry about during the level as most of it is fairly easy as it's you moving your brother in his cage through the level using your different magic powers to advance. The hardest part of the level is when you need to lower you and your brother down a deep area with lava all around you. Just make it through the entire level without either of you dying and once you do, the trophy will pop.
