Introduction:

Welcome to my Guide for the EU and NA versions of Maitetsu: Pure Station, a simple tale about the meaning of love and family, set in an alternate timeline Japan where train driving Sentient Androids (called "Raillords") have been a thing since at least the 1930s and advanced AI controlled vehicles are commonplace. Trophy wise, nothing is missable and there after the first route is complete, there are no decisions to make, which means you can put your controller down and just let things play out.

Notes:
  • There are EU, NA and JP stacks available but the JP version has optional VR features and a very different list so please see here for a Guide to that version (credit to maxijodi): LINK
  • Even with the 1.03 patch installed, the translation isn't good and suffers from numerous typos, gramatical errors and duplicate/missing words etc.
  • Most of the walkthroughs for this game on Youtube are based on the AO and toned down M rated Steam versions so aren't applicable to the Teen rated console releases.
  • The story is strong enough that I strongly recommend playing this game properly and not skipping through everything for a quick Plat but if the trophies are all you're interested in, set Dialogue Speed to 00.00ms and tick the "Fastest" box, Dialogue Display Speed in Auto Mode to 0.00 Sec and tick the "Fastest" box, then tick the box for "Directory Skip Story Dialogues". Once in-game, press r1.png to start skipping.

Walkthrough:

Step 0: Read the Manual

The Manual gives you a rough outline of the story and tells you what the controls are so I strongly recommend reading it through at least once.

Step 1: Maitetsu Expert and Get Nagi to Like You

This step can be done at anytime but will only take 5mins at most, since all you're doing is viewing some menus and clicking on various options. Without a Guide, it would be hard to figure out the requirements for Maitetsu Expert trophy_gold.png and Get Nagi to Like You trophy_gold.png so see the respective walkthroughs for details.

Trophies earned during this step:

Step 2: Common Route trophies and unlock Kisaki's route

Your first playthrough of this route is the one and only time you will have to make a decision, since all the others are entirely linear with no decisions to make. After finishing the game once, Route select will open up so use that to get the other two trophies in this Step. Kisaki's route will unlock once you have finished this step.

Trophies earned during this step:

Get Hachiroku to Like You trophy_gold.png
Get Paulette to Like You trophy_gold.png
Get Hibiki to Like You trophy_gold.png

Step 3: Side Story trophies and unlock the Grand Tour route

The side stories are a lot shorter than the ones in the Common Route, since they last no more than 1.5hrs apiece so can be done in an afternoon. These trophies can be done in any order so don't worry about that but do note you have to earn all the trophies in Steps 2 and 3, before the Grand Tour route will open up

Trophies earned during this step:

Get Fukami to Like You trophy_gold.png
Get Reina to Like You trophy_gold.png
Get Kisaki to Like You trophy_gold.png
Get Makura to Like You trophy_gold.png

Step 4: Grand Route

Now you are on the home stretch so settle down for a couple of hours then you should have your last trophy and the Platinum but if this isn't your final trophy, please move onto Step 5.

Trophies earned during this step:

Get Everyone to Like You trophy_gold.png

Step 5: Cleanup

If you are missing any trophies, then use this step to get them and Maitetsu:Pure Station trophy_platinum.png (if you didn't get it earlier).

  • Running 8620

    Story Related, Can't Be Missed

This trophy will pop about half way into the Common Route storyline (which is the default when you start a new game) when you see the scene in the Hot Springs where you have to decide who's idea to go with and ultimately determine the fate of the town. You will get a list of 3 decisions, each one relating to an ending trophy but it doesn't matter which one you pick, because the other two will become available via Route select once your chosen route has ended:

Pick Hachiroku's suggestion = Get Hachiroku to Like You trophy_gold.png
Pick Paulette's suggestion = Get Paulette to Like You trophy_gold.png
Pick Hibiki's suggestion = Get Hibiki to Like You trophy_gold.png

The trophy for your chosen route, will pop after the end credits finish.
  • Hachiroku appears to like you now.

  • Fukami appears to like you now.

After finishing the game once, go: Start Story => Nagi & Fukami Route, then watch it through to the end and the trophy will pop after the end credits have finished rolling.
  • Paulette appears to like you now.

  • Reina appears to like you now.

After finishing the game once, go: Start Story => Reina Route, then watch it through to the end and the trophy will pop after the end credits have finished rolling.
  • Kisaki appears to like you now.

Kisaki's route doesn't open up until after you have earned the following trophies:

    Running 8620 trophy_gold.png
Get Hachiroku to Like You trophy_gold.png
Get Paulette to Like You trophy_gold.png
Get Hibiki to Like You trophy_gold.png

Once her route is available, go: Start Story => Kisaki Route
  • Makura appears to like you now.

After finishing the game once, go: Start Story => Makura Route, then watch it through to the end and the trophy will pop after the end credits have finished rolling.
  • Hibiki appears to like you now.

  • Everyone appears to like you now.

The Grand Tour Route option will open up once you have Running 8620 trophy_gold.png and all the other "X appears to like you now" trophies. You start it by going: Start Story => Grand Tour. Now watch it through to the end, then this trophy will pop. If you've been following the Road Map, then Maitetsu:Pure Station trophy_platinum.png will pop here as well. Note: I'm currently unsure if the Get Nagi to Like You trophy_gold.png  trophy is needed to unlock this one.

Secret trophies

  • Nagi appears to like you now.

This can be done at any time by going to the Main Menu, then going: Special => BGM Appreciation => Press cross.png on "Tender Greenery", then the trophy will pop moments later.
  • You can now call yourself the Maitetsu Expert.

REQUIRES THE 1.03 PATCH TO UNLOCK PROPERLY

At launch, some of the words didn't register properly, thus causing this trophy to unlock when it shouldn't have, so make sure you have the 1.03 patch installed before playing.

From the Main Menu, go: Special => Tips. Now scroll through the list and press cross.png on each entry (you have to press circle.png to make the list active again after reading a Tip). The trophy will pop once you have read all the Tips (which will be after "Zig-zag" if you read them in order).
