Introduction:
Welcome to my Guide for the EU and NA versions of Maitetsu: Pure Station, a simple tale about the meaning of love and family, set in an alternate timeline Japan where train driving Sentient Androids (called "Raillords") have been a thing since at least the 1930s and advanced AI controlled vehicles are commonplace. Trophy wise, nothing is missable and there after the first route is complete, there are no decisions to make, which means you can put your controller down and just let things play out.
Notes:
- There are EU, NA and JP stacks available but the JP version has optional VR features and a very different list so please see here for a Guide to that version (credit to maxijodi): LINK
- Even with the 1.03 patch installed, the translation isn't good and suffers from numerous typos, gramatical errors and duplicate/missing words etc.
- Most of the walkthroughs for this game on Youtube are based on the AO and toned down M rated Steam versions so aren't applicable to the Teen rated console releases.
- The story is strong enough that I strongly recommend playing this game properly and not skipping through everything for a quick Plat but if the trophies are all you're interested in, set Dialogue Speed to 00.00ms and tick the "Fastest" box, Dialogue Display Speed in Auto Mode to 0.00 Sec and tick the "Fastest" box, then tick the box for "Directory Skip Story Dialogues". Once in-game, press to start skipping.
Walkthrough:
Step 0: Read the Manual
The Manual gives you a rough outline of the story and tells you what the controls are so I strongly recommend reading it through at least once.
Step 1: Maitetsu Expert and Get Nagi to Like You
This step can be done at anytime but will only take 5mins at most, since all you're doing is viewing some menus and clicking on various options. Without a Guide, it would be hard to figure out the requirements for Maitetsu Expert and Get Nagi to Like You so see the respective walkthroughs for details.
Trophies earned during this step:
Maitetsu Expert
Get Nagi to Like You
Step 2: Common Route trophies and unlock Kisaki's route
Your first playthrough of this route is the one and only time you will have to make a decision, since all the others are entirely linear with no decisions to make. After finishing the game once, Route select will open up so use that to get the other two trophies in this Step. Kisaki's route will unlock once you have finished this step.
Trophies earned during this step:
Running 8620
Get Hachiroku to Like You
Get Paulette to Like You
Get Hibiki to Like You
Step 3: Side Story trophies and unlock the Grand Tour route
The side stories are a lot shorter than the ones in the Common Route, since they last no more than 1.5hrs apiece so can be done in an afternoon. These trophies can be done in any order so don't worry about that but do note you have to earn all the trophies in Steps 2 and 3, before the Grand Tour route will open up
Trophies earned during this step:
Get Fukami to Like You
Get Reina to Like You
Get Kisaki to Like You
Get Makura to Like You
Step 4: Grand Route
Now you are on the home stretch so settle down for a couple of hours then you should have your last trophy and the Platinum but if this isn't your final trophy, please move onto Step 5.
Trophies earned during this step:
Get Everyone to Like You
Maitetsu:Pure Station
Step 5: Cleanup
If you are missing any trophies, then use this step to get them and Maitetsu:Pure Station (if you didn't get it earlier).
