  • Baby, you're a rich man
  • Hole in your pocket
  • No loose ends
  • The new boss
  • Wrecker
  • Combat specialist
  • Shh, shh
  • Closed casket
  • Flambé

Sequel to the popular Mafia II, the latest installment in the Mafia series is set in 1968 in the city of New Bordeaux, a fictional recreation of New Orleans. The story revolves around Lincoln Clay, an orphan and a Vietnam War veteran. This is a tale of betrayal and revenge mixed with racism and politics. Lincoln Clay's friends are brutally murdered and racial tensions are high in the city. The only way to get revenge on the man who left you for dead - Sal Marcano, is by taking over his city piece by piece, one district at a time - and you're gonna need some help of your own. Help your allies and own their loyalty while turning enemies into assets or go solo on a warpath and kill everyone who opposes you, you're free to tailor your methods for revenge.

Step 1: "Flip" playthrough - Flip all Racket Informants and Bosses, divide districts equally between Underbosses

For the first few hours of the game, you'll be learning the ropes and mechanisms, in particular on how to flip (recruit) informants and racket bosses. You'll need to wiretap the area that the racket boss appears in order to flip them. There are 18 racket bosses spread across the main 9 districts, but 2 of them will be killed automatically (Merle Jackson & Chester Moreau). You need to focus on recruiting the remaining 16 racket bosses for The New Boss and their informants for Live Another Day . Take note that the game does not have any manual saves and there is no way to retract choices that you make.

Glitch: The New Boss is known to glitch where players were not given the option to Flip despite meeting the requirements, or the trophy not unlocking despite Flipping all racket bosses. There are no guaranteed fixes but it is still possible to unlock it by continuing to Flip racket bosses on subsequent playthroughs, although not all 16 are required. It would be wise to keep backup saves.

As you go around conquering districts, remember to grab any cash piles lying around necessary for Cash in Hand , Baby, You're a Rich Man and later Hole in Your Pocket .

Later on, after unlocking Cassandra, Vito and Burke as Underbossess, conquering further districts will present you with a choice as to who you'll assign the district to. It is crucial that you assign the 9 districts equally, 3 districts for each Underboss, including their starting district. This will net you the We're In This Together towards the end of the game.

A majority of the trophies are story related and are unlocked naturally as you progress towards the finale. After the finale, continue with completing the side missions for each Underboss working towards maximizing their loyalty to you and any miscellaneous combat/vehicle-related trophies remaining.

The Main Trophies targeted here are:
We're in This Together
Trust
Family
Live Another Day
The New Boss
.45 in My Hand
IRA Don't Ask
I Need a Favor

Step 2 (Optional): "Flip" playthrough - Clean Up

If you somehow missed out on The New Boss and Live Another Day and accidentally killed any Underbosses, start up a new playthrough with the latest patch installed and without deleting any of your saves. Play as per normal and keep recruiting racket bosses. The profile save tracks the total amount of racket bosses you've flipped. You don't have to flip the specific racket boss that you accidentally killed earlier, all that matters is the total count.

Step 3: "Kill" playthrough - Kill everything that stands in your way, assign all districts to one single Underboss

In this playthrough, you'll do the exact opposite of what you needed to do in the "Flip" playthrough. Kill all informants for Can't Trust a Rat and all racket bosses for No Loose Ends .

Assign all districts to a single Underboss of your liking. After a while, the other two will rise up and rebel against you. You'll have to put them down for the trophy Just You and Me . By the end of the game, your sole surviving Underboss should have enough Earn to give you Big Earner .

The Main Trophies targeted here are:
Can't Trust a Rat
No Loose Ends
Just You and Me
Big Earner

Step 4: "Kill" playthrough - Clean Up

If you haven't unlocked them already by now, start working on the remaining trophies related to combat, driving and any other miscellaneous trophies.

Introduction:

"Faster, Baby!" is the first DLC pack with trophies for Mafia III. It brings Lincoln to an area called Sinclair Parish, and tasks him with bringing down a racist sheriff. The DLC is really fun and has lots of action & car chases, as well as an interesting side mission where you grow marijuana for lots of profit! In order to access the DLC missions, you need to get past your first Sit-down with your 3 underbosses (Story related, after assigning each underboss a district). Once you have had your first meeting with them, you can find the DLC mission start point by a Blue mission icon in the bottom left of the map.

The trophies are pretty easy, with almost half of them coming from completing the story missions. Of the rest, 3 are related to the marijuana growing side mission which is accessed after completing the story but the remaining trophies are miscellaneous ones. The story will take around 2 hours to finish, and the rest of the time will be used on the marijuana missions to get those done. Also note that the Guide will be mostly spoiler-free so feel free to read ahead and not be spoiled (aside from the spoilers in the trophy descriptions obviously).

GLITCH NOTE:

The Trap Game Strong trophy has been giving people some trophy issues. There is no 100% guaranteed way to fix the glitch but check out this thread: LINK for ways that others have used to unlock the trophy. I personally had no issues unlocking the trophy when I played but if you are having trouble, then please check out the linked thread! Vegetollo7 has noted that deleting the profile save may also fix the glitches as well (Originally discovered by Throw7).

In order to access the DLC missions, you need to get past your first Sit-down with your 3 underbosses (Story related, after assigning each underboss a district). Introduction:

"Sign of the Times" is the third and most likely final DLC pack with trophies for Mafia III. The story features Lincoln and Father James, wanting to get solace and closure over Sammy's death by visiting the old bar but they find out that a deranged cult have been worshipping them and thus embark on a quest to wipe them out. The gameplay is a bit similar to the recent Batman games, where you investigate crime scenes to determine what happened to the cult members.

In order to access the DLC missions, you need to get past your first Sit-down with your 3 underbosses (Story related, after assigning each underboss a district). Once you’ve had your first meeting with them, you can find the DLC mission start point by a Purple marker on the map in Father James' church. The trophies are really easy this time. 7 of them come from completing the story missions and during the one side mission afterwards. The rest are miscellaneous ones involving kills with specific weapons/abilities and one for travelling 50km in a new vehicle. Also note that the guide will be mostly spoiler-free, so feel free to read ahead and not be spoiled (aside from the spoilers in the trophy descriptions obviously).

Mafia III: Definitive Edition Trophy Guide

Printable Guide
Show completed trophies
Show secret trophies

86 trophies ( 77  36  )

  • Obtained All Mafia III: Definitive Edition Trophies

Obtain all the non-DLC trophies to get this one.

  • Unlocked all Associates

There are 6 associates, 2 for each Underboss (Cassandra, Vito, Burke) that will be unlocked as you conquer their respective starting districts. Associates provide you with perks such as a Mobile Arms Dealer, Vehicle Delivery, and Consigliere, in addition to upgrades that are unlocked as their respective underboss’ earning power increases. This will come naturally on your "Flip" playthrough by spreading the districts between your Underbosses and increasing their Earn.

  • Completed all of Burke's side-missions

    Missable!

Burke’s side missions are known as “IRA Don’t Ask”. You’ll need to speak to the man himself after conquering Point Verdun. The missions are a series of 5 vehicle grab-and-deliver missions where you’re tasked to obtain a specific type of vehicle marked on your map and deliver it back to the garage where Burke is. Return and speak with Burke after each mission to get the next one. After completing all 5 missions you’ll gain Burke’s loyalty which is needed for the trophy Family.

It is best to attempt this during your "Flip" playthrough where you are to assign the 9 districts equally to each Underboss (3 districts each). In your "Kill" playthrough, you may screw things up since you're only supposed to assign districts to one Underboss, and the other two will rebel against you which will lockout this trophy.

  • Completed all of Vito's side-missions

    Missable!

Vito’s side missions are known as “I Need a Favor”. Speak to Vito in his HQ in River Row after conquering it. Vito has 5 names on his hit list and asks that you kill them all. A couple of the targets’ locations will only be revealed after interrogating the targets’ associates marked on your map. After killing all 5 targets you’ll gain Vito’s loyalty which is needed for the trophy Family.

  • Completed all of Cassandra's side-missions

    Missable!

Cassandra's side missions are known as “.45 in My Hand”. Speak to Cassandra in her HQ in Delray Hollow after conquering it. Cassandra wants you to steal weapon trucks marked on the map across 5 missions and deliver them to her. Speak with Cassandra after delivering each truck to get the location for the next one. After stealing and delivering 5 trucks, you’ll gain Cassandra’s loyalty which is needed for the trophy Family.

  • Saved $150,000 between your wallet and the bank

You must have a total of $150,000 at one time between your wallet and the bank. You’ll lose half the cash in your wallet if you die. You can return to Sammy’s place to stash your cash in the safe, or use Vito’s associate the Consigliere to deliver it for you to the safe after you’ve conquered River Row and gained Vito as your Underboss.

  • Earned $500,000

Glitch Warning: The 1.07 patch has fixed this trophy so please ensure you have the latest update installed, before attempting this.

You must earn a cumulative total of $500,000. This is easier to do when doing your “Flip” playthrough as flipping racket informants and bosses increases earn for your Underboss, which in return gives you more kickback returns. You don’t have to have all $500,000 at one time, and you should be spending them all on weapons and upgrades from the Mobile Arms Dealer van for Hole in Your Pocket .

  • Got the maximum earn from one of your Rackets

Once you’ve taken over a Racket, hover over the Racket icon on the map and you’ll see its current and maximum earn. Earn for Rackets can be increased by completing the side missions for the Underboss that you’ve assigned the racket to. If assigned to Cassandra, she’ll tell you to speak with Emmanuel for the side mission is “Are We Cool”, for Burke the side mission is “The Righteous Fucked” available from Nicki, and for Vito speak with Alma for the side mission “Seems Simple Enough”.

The missions are all identical steal-and-deliver types that are repeatable until you’ve maxed out earns from all rackets for the specific Underboss.

  • Spent at least $500,000

Glitch Warning: The 1.07 patch has fixed this trophy so please ensure you have the latest update installed, before attempting this.

See Baby, You're a Rich Man.

  • Received $10,000 in earn from one Underboss

    Missable!

You'll need to obtain $10,000 earn in one go from a single Underboss. The amount is not cumulative. In order to maximize earn from a single Underboss, you should attempt this during your "Kill playthrough" in conjunction with Just You and Me where your chosen Underboss will be able to hit $10,000 Earn easily after assigning all district to him/her.

To check how much kickback that the Underboss can give at the moment, you can have a look at the Assets page in the menu, on the top right corner of each Asset. You will receive a notification in game when the kickback is ready for collection, or alternatively just their HQ icon on the map. When it shows $10,000 over more, head over to their HQ to collect it.

  • Flipped 16 Racket Bosses

    Missable! Glitched!

Glitch Warning: Reported glitched as of Patch 1.06. Trophy is achievable on earlier patches. If you have the Retail version, cancel and delete all patches and play on base version v1.00. However, this trophy is not 100% guaranteed to unlock even on v1.00, it is purely down to luck.

There are 18 Racket Bosses spread across 9 districts in total that you will encounter in order to progress with the story, there's no way to miss any of them. The 10th district - Bayou Fantom, does not contain any rackets.

2 of these Racket Bosses (Merle Jackson, Delray Hollows Prostitution racket, and Chester Moreau of the Frisco Fields Southern Union racket) will be killed regardless of what you do. You need to flip (recruit) the remaining 16 when you confront the Racket Bosses. This trophy is cumulative across all of your playthroughs. Glitch: The game may not register your flips/kills properly and as a result there is a possibility of missing out on the trophy, thus requiring a new playthrough.

You’re first introduced to the flipping mechanism in the game while going after the Smash racket in Delray Hollow, as part of Standard Communication Grid trophy. In order to flip a racket boss and get him to work for you, you must wiretap the junction box in the area where he’ll show up. You’ll need to collect 3 fuses in order to wiretap a junction box as it appears on the map. Press the touchpad button to highlight nearby junction boxes ingame.

Once the racket boss shows up after you’ve done enough damage to the racket’s profits, fight your way to the boss and injure him enough that he'll be down on his knees. Go up next to the boss and hold to subdue him then press to recruit him, whereas pressing will kill him.

Author's Note, Patch 1.06 update: The potential fix below has been reported not working as of Patch 1.06 which has also glitched a number of other trophies, however I will leave it here in case it works out somehow.

If you miss out on this trophy on your “Flip” playthrough, below is a potential fix. The results are mixed as some have unlocked it this way but others have not:

    • Ensure the Day One Patch 1.02 is installed. Update your game.
    • Open up the Journal > Archives in your menu
    • The Archive will record which racket bosses you’ve successfully flipped, you’ll have to read the paragraphs in detail and cross reference the names with those on the Kill List.
    • If it says something like you’ve managed to convince the boss to do things your way, you’ve flipped them successfully
    • Make a note of the number of successful flips/kills and the name of who you missed
    • Start a new playthrough, do NOT delete any of your previous saves or profile save
    • Play as per normal and keep flipping racket bosses, and specifically flip/kill whoever you missed the last time. Remember to keep backup saves. If you are lucky, you should unlock the trophy within the first few flips/kills, otherwise you may have to go all the way and flip/kill all the rest.

  • Recruited 15 Racket Informants

    Missable!

There are 18 Rackets in total in the game with 19 informants. After speaking with your contact for each racket, a series of objectives will be available to you and any informants will be marked on the map. Head to the markers on your map and find the Informants, who are usually accompanied by enemy goons. It is far easier to injure the Informant first and make him kneel on the ground to prevent him from running, then deal with his mates. Confront the informant by holding to subdue him then pressing again to recruit them for your "Flip" playthrough, or to kill them on your "Kill playthrough" for Can't Trust a Rat.

In the event the informant escapes, there are two ways to capture him. Either you reach him in time before he speeds away where you manage to hijack his car, or you chase him in another vehicle and disable his vehicle. If you hijack the car, you'll need to drive like a madman (doing near misses are the best) to scare him into talking, by filling up the gauge at the top of the screen. Failing to fill the gauge after some time will result in the informant throwing himself out of the car. You can still chase him on foot and beat him up to recruit or kill at this point. If you were chasing him in another vehicle, the same applies where you disable his vehicle and he gets out of the car and is open to a solid beating followed by the same recruit/kill options.

Be careful that you do not miss out any Informants because unlike Racket Bosses, confronting Informants are optional objectives not essential to story progression. When you've done enough damage to a racket and attempt to confront the Racket Boss, the game will prompt you for confirmation because all incomplete objectives will be removed once you choose to go after the Racket Boss, so check that you've dealt with all Informants beforehand.

Districts - Informants for each racket

    • Delray Hollows – Smack(2)
    • River Row - Contraband(1)
    • Tickfaw Harbor - Smuggling(1)
    • Pointe Verdun – Moonshine(1) and Protection(1)
    • Barclay Mills – Guns(1) and Garbage(1)
    • Downtown - Construction(1) and Blackmail(2)
    • Southdowns - Black Market(1) and Gambling(1)
    • Frisco Field - Southern Union(2) and PCP(1)
    • French Ward - Sex(2) and Drugs(1)
  • Killed all of the Racket Bosses

    Missable!

You must kill each and every single Racket Boss in the game. There are 9 districts excluding Bayou Fantom and 18 Racket Bosses in total spread across the 9 districts. Attempt this on your "Kill" playthrough.

  • Killed 15 Racket Informants

    Missable!

    See Live Another Day.

  • Drove at 120 mph or faster for 20 seconds

This is easier to attempt on your “Flip Playthrough”. On this playthrough assign the districts evenly to your Underbosses and towards the end after you’ve assigned all 9 districts they will have enough Earn to benefit you with vehicle upgrades. You’re gonna have to spend $500,000 for Hole in Your Pocket so do so on the vehicle upgrades which’ll boost your vehicle's’ top speed and acceleration significantly. Now call in a Vehicle Delivery and pick the De’Leo Traviata which is unlocked after “Kill Frank Pagini” from conquering Tickfaw Harbor. Drive onto any highway and maintain your speed at 120mph (observe the needle on the lower part of your screen) for 20 seconds.

  • While driving, performed a 50-meter jump and landed on your wheels

Get a fast car, like the De'Leo Stiletto from your Vehicle Delivery associate. Drive to Frisco Fields to a construction site near the lake. There's a ramp facing eastwards here that you can use, with a long stretch of road starting all the way from the top northwest corner of the map that will be enough for you to get enough speed to clear 50 meters. Your car must land on its wheels.

  • While driving, drifted for at least 5 seconds

Pick any car and swerve to the left and right in a zigzag pattern for 5 seconds without hitting anything and you’ll unlock this easily.

  • Made a 180 degree turn at high speed without hitting anything

Pick a normal sedan car and drive around 80-100mph then pull the handbrakes by pressing and turn your car around in one direction. You can turn more than 180 degrees just as long as you don’t hit anything.

  • Executed 10 Vehicle Takedowns

First, pick a pistol with high ammo capacity and make sure it’s fully loaded. Get in a car and press to aim. You can only fire at hostile enemy vehicles or the police. Pressing will automatically target the tires, engine or the driver and any passengers, and tapping will cycle through the targets. To takedown a vehicle you can either shoot all 4 tires, shoot the car until the engine blows, or shoot the driver which is the easiest.

  • Killed 300 enemies via Takedowns

Kill 300 enemies with any kind of takedown (normal, stealth, or brutal) using .

  • Performed 100 Stealth Takedowns on enemies

Glitch Warning: Reported glitched as of Patch 1.06. Trophy is achievable on earlier patches. If you have the Retail version, cancel and delete all patches and play on base version v1.00.

Stealth takedowns are performed on unaware enemies by sneaking up on them from behind. You can enter stealth mode by pressing , press to initiate a takedown.

  • Performed 50 Brutal Takedowns

Brutal takedowns can only be performed on enemies who’ve spotted you and have turned hostile. If you walk up to someone and press and it immediately goes into action cam, then it is just a normal/stealth takedown. Engage a hostile enemy with a couple of punches using , then hold and a gauge will appear. Release when the needle is between 50-75% full to initiate a Brutal Takedown.

Also see Sending A Message for chaining Brutal Takedowns.

  • Completely weakened a racket by killing all of its Enforcers

Each racket will typically have 2-3 Enforcers. After the first introduction with your local contact, you’ll be given objectives that’ll damage the racket’s profits, including eliminating Enforcers. For this trophy, you’ll need to kill all Enforcers prior to confronting the racket boss.

When you’ve done enough damage to a racket, speak again with your contact person for that racket. An onscreen prompt will appear and ask for your confirmation if you wish to confront the racket boss now. Any remaining Enforcers that were not eliminated will show up to defend the Racket Boss if you choose to proceed with confronting the Racket Boss. For I’m Goin’ In! trophy, you must leave all Enforcers alive and only damage the rackets profits through other means.

  • Attacked a Racket without killing any Enforcers

    See Softened 'Em Up

  • Wiretapped the Delray Hollow Smack Racket

Story related. After taking over the Prostitution Racket, Clayton will meet up with Donovan to discuss the next target – Delray Hollow Smack Racket. This is also where you’ll be introduced to the wiretapping tutorial.

  • Performed 5 headshots in 5 seconds

Use a Screaming Zeni to lure enemies to one spot, then quickly pop their heads. The Screaming Zeni is unlocked after obtaining Cassandra as an Underboss. It also helps to upgrade your pistol or automatic guns accuracy, which you can do by increasing Cassandra’s Earn.

  • Fed a body to an alligator

Takedown any enemy, pick up their body with and drop the body in a river. After a few seconds, an alligator should appear. There are few alligators in the rivers between districts, but plenty of alligators in the Bayou to the south.

  • Got eaten by an alligator

Jump into a river and swim towards an alligator. There are few alligators in the rivers between districts, but plenty of alligators in the Bayou to the south.

  • Chained together 3 or more Brutal Takedowns

You must kill 3 enemies in a row in quick succession using Brutal Takedowns. Go up to the front of an enemy and let him turn hostile with a red “!” above his head. Punch him using twice then hold to initiate a Brutal Takedown. Release when the onscreen gauge is between 50-75% and if you did it correctly the game will turn into an ‘action cam’ mode where Lincoln immediately kills the enemy. A Brutal Kill will momentarily stun nearby opponents and they’ll fall to the ground. If you get to them fast enough while they’re still on the ground, you can chain into another Brutal Takedown simply by pressing the prompt.

  • Stole a Police car

Commit any crime and have a witness call the police then steal the police car, or just hijack any police car you see on the road.

  • Escaped a Police Zone after being chased for 2 minutes

Commit a crime and have a witness call the police. A blue zone will appear on the minimap around the scene of the crime and the police will arrive shortly. Once the police arrive and spot you, the zone will turn flashing red-blue. Let them chase you around for a couple of minutes then shake them off and exit the zone. Best to combine this with Wrecker and disable any police cars in pursuit.

  • Killed an enemy within 2 seconds of kicking open a door

You can only kick open locked doors, with . Kill an enemy within 2 seconds of kicking the door down. You'll encounter plenty of locked doors where the Enforcers and Racket Boss locations are so this is just a matter of seizing the opportunity. Use to initiate Intel view, or use the Consigliere associate from Vito to detect any enemies behind the door.

  • Made 10 enemies kill themselves with their own Molotovs

Engage some enemies and take cover. Enemies with a pistol will tend to throw Molotovs at you after hiding in cover for a while and will shout to signal before doing so. It takes awhile between signal and the actual throw animation so quickly pop out of cover and shoot the guy lighting a Molotov and he’ll drop it thereby burning himself to a fiery death. This is best attempted in the earlier stages of the game before you've conquered half of the 9 districts. In the latter stages, the enemies upgrade to throw grenades and will no longer throw molotovs.

This trophy is cumulative across all playthroughs. You can easily get 2-3 kills during the tutorial mission to kill Baka if you miss it the first time around.

This trophy will unlock after the final “Sit Down” meeting, before going after Sal & Giorgi Marcano in the mission “Yet Here We Are”.

  • Kept only one Underboss alive until "Yet Here We Are"

    Missable!

This is best done in your “Kill” playthrough. There are 9 districts in the game, and you’ll need to assign all of them to a single Underboss as you go along conquering each district. Do not complete any of the side missions (.45 In My Hand/I Need a Favor/IRA Don't Ask) for the other two Underbosses as that increases loyalty. Districts are assigned during the “Sit Down” meetings which occur after you’ve conquered each district and eliminated the lieutenant controlling the district.

You’ll need to get rid of them and eliminate their faction or they keep sending out retaliation squads after you. The other overlooked Underboss will turn on you after you assign the sixth district to your chosen Underboss. All in all your chosen boss can and should control a maximum 7 of the 9 available districts. This trophy will unlock after the final “Sit Down” meeting, before going after Sal & Giorgi Marcano in the mission “Yet Here We Are”..

  • You chased down and killed Frank Pagani

    Story Related.

The questline starts off from Donovan and Lincoln goes through the steps of taking down the Auto Theft or the Smuggling rackets in Tickfaw Harbor in order to get Frank’s attention. After you’ll complete that, Donovan will give you the mission “Kill Frank Pagani: Setup” followed by “Kill Frank Pagani: Takedown” and the trophy unlocks after completing the latter mission which involves a car chase.

    Story Related.

The mission “Kill Remy Duvall” is available from Donovan upon conquering the Southern Union and PCP rackets in Frisco Fields. Alvarez will provide you intel in exchange for protection. Hit squads will show up so kill them all and escape the area, optionally with Alvarez’s car in the garage. Alvarez’s car is pretty fragile and you’ll be chased for a while by more hit squads, so drive fast but carefully and try not to collide with anything. Head towards Father James’ place to complete the mission.

DLC: Faster, Baby!

10 trophies

  • Reached the Max Herbalism level

After completing the story, you will unlock the Grow House and can cultivate Weed for profit. You need to sell batches of Weed to make money and for every tier of money reached, you increase a level. Every level you gain will also unlock a short side mission where you will collect a new strain of weed to use for your operation. Talk to MJ to access these missions. Without doing those missions, your rank will not increase, even if you have enough profit made to reach the max rank.

Here are the amounts you need to level up:

    1. Starting level.
    2. $1,000
    3. $10,000
    4. $25,000
    5. $50,000, this is the max rank.

Once you have reached the max rank, the trophy will pop after speaking with MJ. See That Good Connect for tips to increase the money you make.

  • Fully upgraded the Grow House

You will need to spend a lot of money to be able to buy all the upgrades for the Grow House. Also note that almost all of the upgrades are locked until you reach a specific Herbalism level so you will have to do some side missions to be able to unlock all the upgrades. Also, Fertilizer will not show up at all until you have reached level 2.

Here are all the upgrades and how much they cost:

    • Planters:
      1. $4,000
      2. $7,000
      3. $11,000
      4. $15,000
      5. $20,000
    • Lighting:
      1. $5,000
      2. $10,000
    • Water:
      1. $4,000
      2. $7,000
    • Air Conditioning:
      1. $2,500
      2. $4,500
    • Fertilizer:
      1. Basic $5,000
      2. $10,000

Once you have purchased the final upgrade (which is usually the final Planter), the trophy will pop.

  • Sold a single batch of weed for $10,000 or more

As the description says, you need to sell a single batch of weed for $10,000 or more. At first, $10,000 might seem like a lot of money but the final strain you unlock will guarantee you make a minimum of $10,000 for every batch sold.

The trick is to constantly use the Lab feature (unlocked at level 2) to add Hybrid seeds to your strains to make them better. At first, you will only have a few choices to make (as other seeds are locked until later levels) but the goal is to Hybridize a plant with any seed to increase its stats. Once you’ve planted that Hybrid plant, as soon as it's ready to be harvested you can Hybridize that same plant again to add even better stats to it!

It's hard to explain on paper but once you get the hang of it in-game, it makes sense! Here's what I used as an example to help you understand:

    1. I recommend using the second strain, Ruderalis, which is unlocked when you reach level 2.
    2. Before planting anything, go to the Lab section and choose to Hybridize the basic strain of Ruderalis.
    3. I combined it with the second seed, Viride (increases Growth Rate so I wouldn't have to wait too long to plant more), to make a new strain (Let's call it "Rude1").
    4. Plant Rude1 and wait until it's ready to harvest (which might take approx 1 hour).
    5. Harvest Rude1 and sell it to whatever area gives you the most money (ignore the positive/negative %s, just look at the total profit at the top).
    6. Now go back to the Lab, and choose to Hybridize Custom Strains (press on screen). Choose Rude1 instead of the original strain.
    7. Add another seed to Rude1 (I did Viride again to make it grow really fast), now the new strain we will call "Rude2".
    8. Plant Rude2 and wait until you can harvest it, then sell to the highest area.
    9. Repeat the previous steps with Rude2 to create a new strain "Rude3" and repeat until you sell a batch for over $10,000.

To sum it up, you should be constantly using a newer version of that original strain each time to keep adding new stats to it until the stats are maxed out. Once the stats are maxed, you should have no trouble selling a batch for over $10,000.

Also the fourth strain Sativa will also get you over $10,000 the first time you plant it but it takes forever to grow. By the time you have it unlocked, you will have your Ruderalis strain almost maxed out though so it's much faster to keep using that.

One final note is fertilizer. It's incredibly useful to speed up the growth of your plants! With the first upgrade, you can harvest the plant when it reaches 80% completion instead of waiting until 100% but with the second upgrade you only need to wait until the plant hits 50% before you cab to harvest it. If you have a plant that has the best growth time (which is 18 in-game hours/36 real minutes) and you have the final Fertilizer upgrade, you can harvest it in 18 real minutes!

  • Destroyed 10 of Slim's re-election billboards

There are billboards everywhere in the DLC and the majority of them will have Sheriff Slim's face on them. What you need to do is drive your car through 10 of them to break them. In order to do so, each one has a ramp/dirt pile somewhere near it and you have to launch yourself off these and into the billboard to break it.

The game will launch into an action cam where you fly through the air so it’s easy to tell if you have done it right. The game also automatically makes you hit the billboards once you find the right ramp. Even if you are going too slow, the game will automatically speed your car up while in the action cam to make you hit the billboard. The toughest part of this trophy is more about finding the billboards than it is to actually hit them.

You will get a few of these just by playing through the story (Mission 3 is where you'll probably get your first one without trying) but most of them will have to be found by looking around the map. I drove around the map and found all 10 of them myself but some people have reported that the trophy unlocks by driving through the same billboard 10 times. To take advantage of this exploit, just drive a short distance away from the Destroy Billboard so that it repairs itself. Now drive through it again - rinse and repeat until the trophy pops!

  • Killed 30 enemies using Proximity Mines

Unlike the rest of the DLC trophies, you can actually start working on this one from the very beginning of the main game! Once you have access to the Arms Dealer (getting your first district assigned to Cassandra), you can buy these from him for $450 each. Now you just need to get 30 kills on enemies to get this trophy and refill the ammo as needed. To use them, you equip them by holding and using to cycle until you highlight them. You throw them with and when an enemy (or you) step near it, it detonates.

Note that the game does not seem to register people as "enemies" unless they are/were in combat with you so you will need to agitate them first, before getting them killed by the mines. I find a good way to do this is to plant a mine in a doorway near your location, then aim your gun at them to make them hostile. Run away and they will follow you straight into the mine. Once you have gotten your 30th kill, the trophy will pop!

  • Successfully triggered 10 Vehicle Traps

    GLITCHED

Vehicle traps are only located in Sinclair Parish so you will have to work on this while exploring that area.

During the first story mission, your companion Roxy will shoot a trap to show you what happens, then it’s up to you to use the traps to incapacitate vehicles with 10 other traps. You can do this during story missions or any time after them, all it requires is having the cops after you. Traps look like blue and black triangles when looking at your minimap. To use one, you need to have cop cars following you, otherwise you won’t be able to use them if the cops are on foot.

When you drive by a trap, you will see a green target on it so press to shoot it. After you pass the object, the trap will activate and block any cars chasing you. You can actually reuse the same trap over and over by driving a short distance away then returning to the trap but once the cops are all on foot, you will need to kill them all and get a new set of cops after you. When you have successfully used a vehicle trap 10 times, you will get the trophy. Also note that it's 10 traps used, not 10 cops stopped so even if you stop more than one car it will only count as 1 use.

This trophy has been known to glitch for some people but if you are one of them, then please check out this thread for details on some possible fixes: LINK

Secret trophies

  • You survived the drive into Sinclair Parish

Story related, cannot be missed. This is obtained by completing the first mission of the DLC.

You will be tasked with driving into the city but on the way you will be ambushed by a lot of corrupt cops. You will need to evade them all using Vehicle Traps (see Trap Game Strong for details) or any other means. Once you have gotten away from the cops, simply drive to the farm marker and the mission is complete.

  • You helped MJ and Roxy get the Witnesses free

Story related, cannot be missed. This is obtained by completing the third mission of the DLC.

This is one of the best missions in the game! You will need to break into the police vehicle impound lot and steal a car. Next you will escape the area, then cause lots of mayhem in the city by driving over ramps onto buildings and crashing into other destructible objects. After doing enough damage in the city, you will move onto 2 other locations outside the city and repeat the destruction again. Finally, you will follow MJ and his Weed van for a bit to see a final cutscene and then the trophy.

  • You captured Slim Beaumont

Story related, cannot be missed. This is obtained by completing the fourth mission in the DLC.

You will start out the mission captured and then saved by a friend. From here you will need to escape the farm by killing everyone in your way. After exiting the farm, you will need to chase Slim in a fairly lengthy car chase before finally getting him. Finally, you will have lots of cops following you and you just need to escape the city and make it back to where the Voice is (the original start point for the first DLC mission). Once you've arrived, you will watch a cutscene and the trophy will pop shortly after.

  • You helped Irma, Jeremiah, and Christian

Story related, cannot be missed. This is obtained by completing the series of short missions after the main story is done.

There are 3 missions that you have to complete (in any order), then return to the Voice:

    • The Proverbial Canary – The lawyer's wife was kidnapped so to save her, you have to head to the Scrapyard and kill every enemy there. Once she has been saved, talk to the lawyer to complete this easy mission.
    • An Instrument of Justice – The preacher wants you to cause mayhem around different areas infested with the Southern Union Clan. Very similar to the third story mission from this DLC, so just kill people and run over things to complete this mission.
    • A Good Man – The widow wants revenge for her husband's death. First you interrogate an enemy at a bar, then you simply head to the Burn Site to steal a truck. Once you deliver the truck to the objective location, you're done!

Once all 3 are done, head back to The Voice and the trophy will pop after a final cutscene.

DLC: Stones Unturned

10 trophies

  • Knocked out 30 people with the Dart Gun

You will get the Dart Gun after starting the Bounty Hunt missions, which are only accessible after completing the story. It replaces your pistol and only holds 1 bullet per clip but holds around 15 shots total. When you hit an enemy with a shot, they will walk around for a bit before collapsing. If you headshot them, it's instantaneous. You need to hit 30 enemies to get the trophy and the trophy will pop right afterwards. You will get at most 10 shots on enemies during the bounty hunt missions so you will need to grind this out a bit afterwards. If you need more ammo, just call in the Arms Dealer on your phone, the ammo is very inexpensive.

  • Placed an unconscious person in the trunk of a car

    Story related, cannot be missed.

You will get this on your first Bounty Hunt mission, since you have to transport an unconscious enemy back to your base by doing so. You do so by picking up the body with , then going over to a car and pressing on the trunk. If you would rather not wait until this late in the DLC, you can also knock out any civilian at any time using then pick them up and shove them into a trunk and the trophy will still pop. You could potentially unlock this trophy within 5 minutes of starting a new game as well if you wanted to.

  • Killed 50 enemies using the Hartmann 7.62mm and wearing the Party Animal outfit

    POTENTIALLY MISSABLE

The Party Animal outfit is unlocked for free as soon as you beat the story. You can change into it at any safehouse by going to the Special Outfit category and selecting it. It looks like a Hawaiian shirt.

The Hartman 7.62mm is only unlocked as a Favor from Vito and it's quite late into the main game so if you killed Vito, you might not be able to unlock this weapon. Some people have claimed it’s still possible to obtain even if you kill Vito, however I personally don't know how. See here for details: LINK

You can also find this weapon in one of the DLC missions on the island but you won't be able to make progress on the trophy since you won't have the outfit unlocked at that time. If you somehow manage to keep the weapon in your inventory until after all the missions have finished, you can switch outfits and start making progress on the trophy.

You must kill 50 enemies with the Hartmann 7.62mm while having the Party Animal outfit equipped. Note that the game will not count enemies as "enemies" unless they are in combat with you so point the gun in their direction until the indicator on the bottom right says Combat, then you're free to kill them.

Once you kill your 50th enemy while wearing the correct outfit, the trophy will pop.

  • Completed all Bounty Hunting assignments

    Story related, cannot be missed.

After completing the main storyline, you will unlock the Bounty Hunt missions. There are 3 of them, all of which entail you to knock out enemies with the Dart Gun and deliver them to the base. These missions are very easy to complete and won't take much time at all.

Once you complete all 3 missions, the trophy will pop.

  • Killed 30 Enemies Using Sniper Support

You will most likely need to grind this out a bit. You unlock the Sniper Support after finishing the first story mission in this DLC, "Creature of Habit". To equip the Sniper Support, hold and use to cycle to the icon that looks like a target on a head. Now hold to aim at an enemy and if it’s a viable target, it turns green. Once you let go of the trigger, Marshall will take out that enemy. Note that the enemies must be attacking you for the game to keep track. If you use the ability on an unaware enemy, the game will not recognize them as "enemies" and thus not give you credit for the kill so get them into attacking you before using the ability on them.

During this DLC's story missions, you can find walkie-talkies that refill your "ammo" for this ability or you can call in the Arms Dealer but each shot costs $3,500 to buy so be prepared to spend a decent amount of money to get this trophy. Once you get your 30th kill with the ability, the trophy will pop.

Secret trophies

  • You investigated the scene

Story related, cannot be missed. This trophy is for completing the first mission in this DLC.

The mission is pretty basic, you drive with Donovan to a restaurant then explore it. On the top floor a man will run away, you just need to chase him down. Once he’s caught, a cutscene will play and the trophy will pop shortly afterwards.

  • You survived the trip to Boicherot's

Story related, cannot be missed. This unlocks upon completion of the third story mission.

For this mission, you will head into a fancy department store to rescue the janitor. Once you reach him, enemies will swarm you and you will have to take them all out to escape. Afterwards, you will jump into a turret truck and and have to shoot all the trucks while Donovan drives around.

Once the chase ends, the trophy will pop after a cutscene.

  • You got a hot tip on a loose nuke

    Story related, cannot be missed.

You will head to an island to continue the DLC and this trophy is for completing the second mission on the island. The first mission on the island involves you killing a bunch of enemies and then interrogating one final enemy. For the second mission, you will drive a car to a broken plane and have to take out many enemies there. After taking them out, you will get a cutscene inside the plane, followed by another massive enemy fight.

Once the final enemy is dead, the mission will end and the trophy will pop.

  • You helped Donovan end Connor Aldridge

Story related, cannot be missed. This trophy will pop during the final mission, see There Are No Dominos for details.

  • You secured the nuke

Story related, cannot be missed. This trophy is for completing the final story mission of this DLC.

This final mission is pretty long and is basically just a lot of massive enemy fights and 1 boss fight. You will go through the entire army base, killing enemies as you go. Near the end, you will descend a silo into a submarine base (this is where the boss fight is). The boss has tons of enemies that seem to keep spawning indefinitely and you have to take him out while he fires a very powerful turret at you. To kill the boss easily, head up the stairs on the right. Grab the RPG up there and shoot him once, then take out the rest of the enemies. Once all the enemies are dead, you will get a prompt to enter the submarine. Watch the cutscene and Aid and Comfort will pop afterwards. Next, you will enter a truck and leave the base before being ambushed by 1 final set of enemies. Take them out to survive the ambush, then watch the cutscene.

The trophy will pop after the scene is over.

After completing the story, you will unlock a side mission for renovating Sammy's Bar. You will meet Lincoln's Aunt Lily and have to drive her to the bar. She decides you should renovate the bar so that they can open it up again. You will have to buy the first Repair upgrade for $20,000 and once that's done, the trophy will pop after the dialogue.

  • Protected Sammy's from the Dixie Mafia

    Story related, cannot be missed.

You will obtain this while upgrading the Bar. Every 5 upgrades you buy, will unlock a story mission to complete but this particular mission will unlock after buying your 5th upgrade (though it doesn't matter which one). The mission is very simple, just kill all the goons attacking your bar and interrogate the last one. Once that's done, the trophy will pop at the end of the cutscene.

  • Fully renovated Sammy's

    Story related, cannot be missed.

You will need to spend a lot of money to get this trophy, as you need to purchase every single upgrade for Sammy's Bar to earn it. There are 21 upgrades to buy but some are locked until you have done either a side mission or unlocked another upgrade prior (For example: you cannot buy the Bartender upgrade until you have purchased the Bar Lvl 2 upgrade, etc.). Barkeep after your first upgrade and Amateur Bouncer after your 5th upgrade. You will also unlock side missions at 10 and 15 upgrades; Our New Bartender for 10 upgrades and Lil Ernie for 15 upgrades. These missions allow you to purchase the final Bartender/Music upgrades respectively.

      2. $35,000
    • Bar:

      1. $3,000

      2. $10,000

Once you have bought all 21 upgrades, you will talk with Lily and host a party. Watch the cutscene and the trophy will pop soon afterwards.

  • Killed 4 enemies using Slow-Mo Shooting 10 Times

This is probably the hardest trophy in the DLC but it's not too bad. The description is poorly written but here's what you need to do:

You need to use your Slow-Mo ability by pressing , then kill 4 enemies during this timeframe. Now you have to repeat this for a total of 10 times. Note that the game does not register an enemy as an "enemy, unless they are hostile and are shooting at you so before shooting anyone, aim your gun at them and once you see it say Combat on the bottom right of the screen, you're good to go.

You can farm this on cops at any cop station, as there are usually way more than 4 enemies at any given spot, making this trophy fairly easy to do. Note: Always aim for the head as headshots add more time to the meter so will you more time to make the 4 kills needed. Also note that you can actually start working on this trophy after the very first mission in the main game so if you are starting a new file, start working on the trophy early on to avoid having to grind it out later!

  • Killed 20 enemies using Throwing Knives

This is a very easy trophy and you might even unlock it during the story missions if you use the Throwing Knives at every opportunity!

Throwing Knives are first unlocked during the second mission, "Covered In Blood". The game will tell you how to use them (hold and cycle with to equip, then hold to aim/fire at enemies). These are fantastic weapons to use because they are silent, they have no drop due to gravity and you can pick them up off dead enemies so you will never need to buy any! If you do need to buy them from the Arms Dealer, they only cost $500 each so it's not too bad. You only need to get 20 kills with these for the trophy.

Also note that sometimes the game doesn't register a person as an enemy unless they are hostile towards you. The best thing to do, is find 1-2 enemies away from everyone else, then aim at them until they become hostile, then kill them right away with the Throwing Knives. If done correctly, you will silent kill them without raising alarm.

  • Drove a distance of 50 km in the Samson Harrier

The Samson Harrier is an Exotic car that you will unlock while going for the renovations on Sammy's Bar. It becomes available after buying 10 upgrades and you have to complete a small side mission called "Our New Bartender". The mission is very easy, you just have to complete a race against a gangster and win his car by beating him then it's yours forever. Once you have the car, call it in using the Vehicle drop-off guy and just ride it around the city until the trophy pops! 50km is a fairly far distance but just drive around all the roads at top speed and it will come soon afterwards! You can also use it in any race that uses Exotic cars so then any money you earn can help pay for all the renovations.

Secret trophies

  • You investigated the cult's activities at Sammy's

Story related, cannot be missed. This trophy is obtained by completing the first mission of this DLC.

The mission is very simple, you will drive to Sammy's Bar and kill 3 enemies upon arriving. Finally, you will investigate the scene in manner that's similar to the ones in the recent Batman games. Once that's done, the trophy will pop.

  • You met Bonnie Harless

Story related, cannot be missed. This trophy pops during the second mission but unlike the other trophies, it pops in the middle of the mission as opposed to the end.

Another simple mission. You will head into a club and you will eventually find yourself in an underground labyrinth area. Use your blacklight () to find the path that will take you to a small room. After investigating, you will see a trippy cutscene and the trophy will pop shortly after it ends. To finish the mission, simply kill all the enemies while escaping the club. I also advise trying to get as many knife kills as possible at this point to minimize the amount of grinding you have to do later.

  • Investigated the 3 "Places of Darkness"

    Story related, cannot be missed.

After completing the second mission, you will have 3 areas to explore on the map and the trophy will pop once you complete all 3 areas.

Here are the areas to explore (you can do them in any order but this is the order I did them):

    • Wells Park Middle School – Investigate the school and find the altar at the end.
    • Harless Mansion – Investigate the mansion, find the altar, escape.
    • Welty Storage – Very creepy area to investigate, find the sacrifice then fight/escape.

Each area increases with difficulty. The first area has no enemies, the next has a few but then the final area has lots of enemies. Also note that you don't need to investigate all the little items lying around, as only the main objective is needed.

  • You killed Bonnie Harless

Story related, cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completion of the last mission in this DLC.

It's a pretty long mission. You start off by taking a boat to an island on the far East side of the map, then you will have a bunch of enemy fights inside the building and need to kill almost every enemy to advance. Eventually you will come to a door that requires 2 keys to open so follow the waypoints and kill enemies/investigate until you find them. Once you find the keys, you need to solve a small puzzle to open the door. It's not that tough to figure out but if you need a hand, here's an image of the solved puzzle:

Credit to the Mafia III Wiki for this.

Once that's done, you will have 1 more massive enemy fight before climbing onto the roof. At the top of the roof you will be attacked so get ready to hit for one last time to finish off this mission. After the cutscene is over, the trophy will pop.
