Road Map

There isn't much to write for a road map here. This game's trophies can mostly be done in exhibition games. You don't need to really explore the other features of the game, other than online. It's really all about setting up games that can maximize your trophies and get them all as quickly as possible. The trophy descriptions are specific about the settings, so you should follow them exactly. If it says "5 minute quarters", then don't do 6, 7, or 15 minute quarters. Set it at 5.

There are a few things that you can do to make things much easier for you. Yes, the difficulty should be set to All Pro. You'll need it there for most of the trophies anyway. There are a few where you can set it to Rookie, but for the most part it should always stay the same. Even though this is the second highest difficulty in the game, the trophies are still pretty easy because you can adjust the AI sliders to give yourself as big of an advantage as you want. You can also edit the opposing player's attributes to make them less skilled and more likely to do what you want them to do so you can get your trophies. You can also use two controllers. Yes, the trophies say "No Co-op". But that just means two people playing on the same team. You can have two controllers set to different teams.

Here is a game that you should set up to maximize your time and get the trophies in the most efficient way possible.

Arizona Cardinals (you) vs. San Diego Chargers in Lambeau Field:
Set the weather to Heavy Snow. Player one is the Cardinals and player two is the Chargers. Have the Chargers take an early lead until the last 30 seconds of the game. Between then, mess around getting trophies.

Trophies you can get: Sprint Two-Minute Drill, Super Bowl MVP-Like, Frozen Tundra, Go Back to Basketball, Nothing Without the Dark Visor, Fight for the Fumble, Look What I Found!, Larry Stickyfingers. Those are the team and situation specific ones, but you can also get Nano, Pocket Monster, Well Played, Really and Wounded Duck in the game since those only take one play.

Trophy Clean Up

Most of the rest of trophies will come one at a time. There aren't many times you can get multiple trophies in a game (with the exception of playing against the New England Patriots). Play the remaining games against the Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals, and Minnesota Vikings.

After all of the game trophies are completed, complete the two Creation trophies. Those will take about five minutes to do. After the Creation trophies are finished, head over to the Co-Op partner thread to find yourself a partner and complete those three trophies. All you have to do is complete one game, but you have to complete a lateral and a touchdown pass.

Sprint 2 Minute Drill

Win after being behind in the final 2 minutes of a game. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op)
This will be much easier with two controllers. As player two, take a 3-0 lead. For a majority of the rest of the game, just mess around not scoring points for either team. Make sure player one gets the ball left towards the end of the 4th quarter. Drive the ball until there is less than 30 seconds left in the game. Make sure the TD pass that you need isn't ridiculously long (within 20 yards is a good range). It'll be much easier that way. Find an open man and throw him the ball. After you take the lead and win the game, this trophy will unlock. This should also unlock Super Bowl MVP-Like after the TD pass is complete.
All Day No Way

Record 3 tackles for a loss on Adrian Peterson. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no Pro Bowl, no co-op)
This trophy is not that hard to do. All you have to do is play a game against the Minnesota Vikings and tackle Peterson three times behind the line of scrimmage (where the play begins). It's pretty easy to get this in a game playing normally, but you can do it with two controllers as well. This trophy will unlock at the end of the game.
Buzzkill

Intercept a pass intended for Randy Moss. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no Pro Bowl, no co-op)
Play a game against the New England Patriots. Sit back in zone coverage. When Tom Brady passes to Randy Moss, select the cornerback on that side of the field by pushing , running in front of Moss (sprint if you have to with ) and then pushing when the ball is near you. This can also be done with two controllers as it's much easier. Just have the person that is controlling the Patriots tap whichever button Moss is assigned to so that you'll have plenty of time to get into position. This trophy will unlock right away and you will get it at the same time as Mr. Not-So Perfect if you haven't intercepted Brady before.
Fight for the Fumble

Win possession of the ball after a fumble pile-up. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op)
If you plan this out right, you can get multiple trophies at the same time. The basics first though. When you tackle someone with , also press to try and strip the ball. If the ball comes out, hit again to dive for the ball. This will trigger a quick time event where you have to mash whichever buttons pop on the screen. There will be a little bar at the bottom that tells you which team currently has the ball. The faster you press the buttons and the quicker you change to the next button, the more likely you are to gain possession of the ball.

Like I was saying, you can do multiple trophies at the same time. If you're playing against the Cardinals, you can also get Go Bag Some Groceries. If you're near the other team's endzone and the ball rolls into it, you can also get Look What I Found!. If you're playing the Chargers, you can get Nothing Without the Dark Visor.
From Me To You

Complete a pass for a TD with your partner in an Online Co-op game. 5 min qtrs, All Pro
This one is going to take some timing to get down. One player is going to be the QB and the other is the WR, RB, or TE. The player that's the receiver has to run a route, get open, and when the ball is thrown to you, push to catch it. If you're open enough, you'll have an easy run to the endzone. The player that's the QB has to be able to read the defense, find his teammate when they're open, and manage to not get sacked.

Frozen Tundra

Win at Lambeau Field in freezing weather. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op)
You actually don't need to play as or against the Packers for this game. After you decide on a team, push to select them and then to go to the "Advanced Settings" menu. Scroll down to Stadium and change it to "Packers" and then change the Weather option (right below Stadium) to "Heavy Snow" or "Snowy". Now you just have to win the game.
The Gang's All Here

Trigger a gang tackle with 7+ players. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op)

This is the most frustrating trophy of the set. It's almost totally based on luck. You'll want to play against a team that has a big, power running back. The Giants are your best bet. By the way, use two controllers. Have the offense (player two) call running plays. With your defense (player one), set your defense to Dime and Prevent and play as the Steelers. This will load your defense with smaller defensive backs that can be dragged by the stronger RB. With a bit of luck, after a few tries, you'll trigger a large gang tackle.

Alternatively, if using Brandon Jacobs isn't working for you, then create a new RB that is 6'5" and 400 lbs. That should be plenty to drag some small DB's along for a gang tackle.
Go Back to Basketball

Tackle Antonio Gates inside the 5 yard line. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no Pro Bowl, no co-op)
You should get this one in the same game as Nothing Without the Dark Visor. If you're going to do this legitimately, then simply play against the Chargers and if Gates receives a pass inside the 5 yard line, tackle him before he gets into the endzone. If you want to make it easier for yourself, then there are a couple of ways to go about doing this. Use two controllers. Player one is you on defense. Player two is the Chargers on offense. Throw a pass to Gates and let him run until he gets inside the 5 yard line, then have him stop. Have your nearest player tackle him while he's standing still (being careful not to let your momentum carry you both into the endzone). After you tackle him, this trophy will unlock.

Tip from OldSnoova: You can also pause the game as player two and go into your depth chart. Change Gates from TE1 to RB1. Call a simple running play for Gates when the Chargers are inside the 5 yard line. Tackle and you'll get it. It never said he had to catch the ball.
Go Bag Some Groceries

Force Kurt Warner to fumble on a sack. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no Pro Bowl, no co-op)
Play a game against the Arizona Cardinals. It's better to have a good pass rushing end to hit Warner from behind with. The Dallas Cowboys (DeMarcus Ware), Miami Dolphins (Joey Porter), Indianapolis Colts (Dwight Freeney), Minnesota Vikings (Jared Allen), San Diego Chargers (Shawne Merriman or Shaun Phillips) or Pittsburgh Steelers (James Harrison) are good choices. When you come around the end, either use the hit stick () or tackle him and push to strip the ball away. All you have to do is force a fumble, you don't need to recover it. This is pretty easy with two controllers. Just have the second player stand there while tackle Warner. If you set this up properly, you can also get Fight for the Fumble and Look What I Found!.
Have to Be This Tall to Ride

Stiff arm or juke Bob Sanders. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no Pro Bowl, no co-op)
Select any team you want (preferably one with a powerful running back...Vikings or Giants would be the best choices) and make your opponent the Colts. Call a running play to the outside and to the right. As you approach the line, keep pushing to stiff arm. Where #21 on defense is, run towards him. If you don't stiff arm Sanders on the first try, keep trying it until you do. This will unlock once you do it.
Hey Buddy!

Complete a lateral with your partner in an Online Co-Op game. 5 min qtrs, All Pro

You should do this on a kickoff return as both of you will be near each other. One of you should move behind the other as soon as the ball is kicked off to ensure that you don't pitch the ball forward (that's a penalty, by the way). If you're the first player, pitch the ball to your teammate by pushing . If you're the second player, just make sure you don't run past your teammate before the ball is pitched to you. As long as you don't fumble, you'll get the trophy as soon as the play is over.

Larry Stickyfingers

Get 10 user catches (no drops) with Larry Fitzgerald. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no Pro Bowl, no co-op)

This is probably the toughest trophy in the game. The reason is that each catch has to be a user catch, meaning that you have to push to catch the ball and not let the computer do it. Here's what you do...select the Cardinals as your team. The opponent doesn't matter, but the crappier the opponent the better (Browns, Chiefs, Raiders, Lions, Rams, Buccaneers are all good choices). As Kurt Warner, throw the ball to Fitzgerald on every play. After you pass the ball to Fitzgerald, push to select him, hold and take over running his route, and then push when the ball is near you to catch it. If you let the CPU run the route, then it probably won't count. It'll take a bit of practice to get the timing down. Keep doing this on every play, just in case one doesn't count. This trophy will unlock after the game is over.
Laser Arm?

Intercept Peyton Manning 3 times. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no Pro Bowl, no co-op)
Make your opponent the Colts. You can be any team that you want to be. If you adjust the AI sliders, this will still be pretty easy against the CPU. Sit back in zone coverage. When Manning throws the ball, push to switch to the closest defender and then to pick the ball off when it gets near. If you're using two controllers, then tap the appropriate button to throw whichever receiver you want. You'll have plenty of time to get your defender in position then.
Look what I found!

Win a fumble pile-up in the end zone for a TD. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op)
You'll need to either get lucky to be in this situation or set it up with two controllers. You'll have to pin your opponent back on their own 1 or 2 yard line. If you're using two controllers, then take a kickoff or a punt and run backwards, then go out of bounds at the 1 or 2.
Mr. Not-So-Perfect

Intercept a Tom Brady pass. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no Pro Bowl, no co-op)
Play a game against the New England Patriots. Sit back in zone coverage. When Tom Brady passes the ball, select the cornerback on that side of the field by pushing , running in front of the receiver (sprint if you have to with ) and then pushing when the ball is near you. This can also be done with two controllers as it's much easier. Just have the person that is controlling the Patriots tap any button that is assigned to a receiver so that you'll have plenty of time to get into position. This trophy will unlock right away and you will get it at the same time as Buzzkill if you intercept a pass intended for Randy Moss.
Nano

Sack the QB before he can hand the ball off. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op)
This is a trophy that is based on a bit of luck, but with a little planning it's pretty easy to get. You should probably use two controllers for this one. Set up one of your defensive ends on the interior of the defensive line right across from the center. Call an all out blitz. On the offensive controller, call a delayed hand-off (either an HB Delay or an HB Draw will do the trick) and your players should get the QB before handing off. You can also turn off the Offsides penalty before the game and move one of your defensive players to stand right next to the QB before he snaps the ball (just don't touch anyone!!). As soon as the ball is snapped, hit to tackle the QB.
Nothing Without the Dark Visor

Force a LaDanian Tomlinson fumble. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no Pro Bowl, no co-op)
Play a game against the San Diego Chargers. On a play where Tomlinson has the ball, tackle him and press to strip the ball away. You can do this with two controllers, but it's not really necessary. All you have to do is strip the ball away. You don't have to recover it, but if you do, you can also get Fight for the Fumble and Look What I Found! if the ball ends up in the opposing endzone.
Pocket Monster

Stay in the pocket for at least 10 seconds. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op)
When you have a drive deep into the opponents territory, call a passing play and run straight backwards making sure to stay within the tackles (the hashmarks are a good indicator). Keep running backwards until this unlocks. If no defenders are near you, run outside of the tackles and push to throw it away.
Super Bowl MVP-like

Catch a TD to take the lead with under 30 seconds left. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op)
This will be much easier with two controllers. As player two, take a 3-0 lead. For a majority of the rest of the game, just mess around not scoring points for either team. Complete an online Co-Op game. 5 min qtrs, All Pro
Just finish an Online Co-Op game. You don't need to win. You just have to finish it. Use this thread to find yourself a partner for the three Co-Op trophies.
Wounded Duck

Complete a pass to an unintended receiver. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op)
This one takes a bit of luck. You can do this a couple of different ways. First, you can send two receivers out into patterns that are near each other tap whatever button is assigned to that receiver to get a lot of air under it. Push to select the receiver that you didn't throw the ball to and move him over there and push to catch it. Or, you can select the Wildcat offense and have your running back throw a pass to the WR. Because the RB's passer rating isn't very good, the ball will most likely go to the TE. Again, there's a bit of luck involved. You won't have to until the end of the game for this trophy.

Throw the ball away on 4th down. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op)
Since you're going to be sacrificing this drive, you might as well call three running plays and push to dive. On 4th down, call a passing play and push to throw the ball away. Don't you feel silly now?
Mature Newbie

Create a player or Superstar at the oldest possible age.

From the Main Menu, go to "My Madden", then "Creation Zone", and select "Create Player". Scroll down to "BIRTH YEAR" and push to set the year to 1954. Then push and select to save the player.
Safety Inspection Required

Create a team from Springfield
From the Main Menu, go to "My Madden", then "Creation Zone", and select "Create New Team". Select "Edit Team Data" and then "Info Editor". Scroll down to "CITY" and type in "Springfield". Then push until you're back to the Create-A-Team menu. Push again and save your changes.

Blast From The Past

Win an AFL-themed Madden Moment with AFL presentation turned ON.
From the main menu, go to Quick Modes and then Madden Moments. There are five AFL Madden Moments to choose from. A few are pretty short and those are the ones you should try to do. AFL presentation will be automatically be on.

Note: All of the Madden Moment AFL teams are the current rosters, not the classic ones. Let the results of the 2009 factor into your decision of which teams to play as and against. You can also set the difficulty to Rookie and adjust the AI sliders to make it even easier for yourself.

Here's a breakdown of the five challenges:

1st AFL Championship Game: Take control of the Chargers down 24-16 with just over one minute in the 4th quarter. You have to win the game. Get a touchdown and a two point conversion and try to win in overtime.

The Never Ending Game: You take control of Houston (Tennessee now) tied at 17 with Kansas City at the start of overtime. The first score wins, so drive down and at least kick a field goal to win the game. As you only have to put together one drive down the field (against the sorry Chiefs defense too), this is the best one to do.

Titletown San Diego!: You're the Boston Patriots (New England now) and you're down 31-10 to San Diego at the start of the 3rd quarter. You start off on defense, but you have to come back to win the game. This one I do not recommend doing. It takes longer and it's a little more difficult.

This is AFL Football!: This is another good one to do. You start off as Denver in a 38-38 tie game against Buffalo with 42 seconds left in the game. All you have to do is drive down far enough to kick a field goal to win the game. Be warned though, you only have one timeout, so work the sidelines as much as you can.

The Final AFL Game: You're taking control of Oakland down 14-7 to Kansas City at the start of the 4th quarter. You start off on defense, but you have to come back to win the game. Because this one is a bit longer, I would not recommend doing this one.
Orange Sherbet Anyone?

Win an exhibition game with AFL presentation turned ON. 5 min quarters, All Pro (no co-op)
Select Play Now from the main menu and choose one AFL team for yourself one AFL team as your opponent. These teams are the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, and Tennessee Titans. After you have two AFL teams chosen, push to turn AFL mode on. Now, you just have to win the game. The Chargers, Patriots, and Titans are good to teams to play as while the Chiefs, Bills and Raiders are teams you shouldn't play as (unless you happen to be a fan of one of those teams, in which case I apologize...a lot). You can also set the difficulty to Rookie and adjust the AI sliders to make it even easier for yourself.
AFL Invades Franchise Mode

Win an offline franchise AFL Legacy game with AFL presentation turned ON.
For this one, it's easiest to have the first regular season game be the AFL Legacy Game. Select as your franchise either New England, Buffalo, San Diego or Oakland (but if you want an easier time in the game, pick New England or San Diego). The first games for those teams will be against each other. Sim through the preseason and when the game comes up on the schedule, push and select Play Game. AFL presentation will be automatically on.
AFL Goes Online

Play online wearing AFL jerseys. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op).
Hop online and select one of the AFL teams (Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, and Tennessee Titans). Select your team, then push . You're taken to the menu to select your jerseys. Push or until you get to AFL Home or AFL Away. The push to accept and begin the game.

You don't have to win, but you do have to complete the game as the trophy unlocks after the game is completed. Your opponent doesn't have to be wearing AFL jerseys either.

The Ultimate Ten Point Swing

Return a missed field goal for a TD with AFL presentation turned ON. 5 min qtrs, All Pro(no co-op)
You'll want to be the San Diego Chargers and you'll want to play against a weak AFL team (the Chiefs for example). Make sure you use two controllers. As the Chiefs, line up to kick a field goal from about midfield. As the Chargers, select your play as "FG Return". This will lineup one of the fastest players in the game (Antonio Cromartie) in position to return the field goal that is most definitely going to be short. Don't let the ball hit the ground before Cromartie catches it. Return the field goal for a touchdown and the trophy will unlock immediately after.

If you've done a field goal return for a TD, but the trophy didn't unlock, then quit the game, start a new one, and double check your settings. The difficulty has to be set to All Pro for BOTH players. Make sure you change that, because the default for player 2 will be Pro difficulty.
