Introduction:
Welcome to Lost Planet 2! First and foremost, if you're looking for an easy plat, turn away now, this one's a monster. Between the ridiculous amount of times you'll have to play through the campaign and the completion of the exhaustive Good Job and Noms De Guerre lists, you had better be prepared for the long haul.
Lost Planet 2 may be a considerable trophy grind, but there is a lot of fun to be had in assaulting hordes of enemies and taking down oversized bosses with the help of others in co-op. It is important throughout the duration of the game to be mindful of the Good Job and Noms De Guerre requirements, as you can cut down considerably on the amount of grinding required by changing what weapons or grenades you use throughout the course of play when your attain the Noms De Guerre related to them. Of course, there are situations where some weapons would be far more effective than others, so let common sense dictate what situations would be best to work towards noms, and which require that you use the weapons best suited to the situation.
Also be mindful that there are some very difficult Noms De Guerre to unlock. The NUMBER 1 nom in particular is a major stumbling block for anyone attempting the platinum, as it requires that you get a *world record* time/score on one of the 50 training missions, or that you are the number one on one of the ranked match related leaderboards. Currently, the training mission times and scores are pushed to nigh impossible limits, and it is just as hard to reach the top of a ranked online leaderboard. There are petitions on the capcom forums to change these static leaderboards to ones that periodically reset, thereby allowing newcomers a chance to attain the TOP TEN and NUMBER 1 noms.
Not only are there noms for being in the Top Ten and for being Number 1 on a leaderboard, there is also Master of Techniques, requiring a Gold on all 50 of the Training Missions. Though not as daunting as TOP TEN and NUMBER 1, Master of Techniques can still cause troubles. The game as a whole requires a huge investment of time, so consider those two noms in particular before attempting to pursue this platinum.
Step 1: Completing the Campaign.
It is highly recommended you begin the game with the campaign. This will give you a steady stream of credits with which to slowly increase your arsenal of weapons, grenades and abilities, which will in turn give you more options when you begin the online component. You will be required to complete the campaign from start to finish a minimum of four times, once on each difficulty setting. You will have to complete hard in order to unlock Extreme.
I recommend playing an online campaign through Normal first, with the private slots set to 3 and the AI set to 3. This will allow you to work towards your "Me Against the World" trophy, as well as familiarise yourself with the game in a reasonably forgiving setting. The June patch for Lost Planet 2 brought down the difficulty of the Easy and Normal campaigns dramatically, so you shouldn't have any trouble with this.
Once you've completed your normal playthrough, you should have unlocked a reasonable amount of weapons, so return to easy and repeat the process, but work on gaining Good Job awards for whatever you have unlocked. By the end of your Easy and Normal playthroughs, you will have completed 84 of the 93 areas required for the "Me Against the World" trophy, and will have completed 21 of the 39 chapters required for "It's So Easy", as well as a few Good Job Awards.
At this point, you can complete the game on easy again to unlock both trophies, as well as harvest a considerable amount of credits to unlock more weapons and abilities. Additionally, you will also unlock the Captain Emeritus nom for playing through 100 campaign areas as the host.
Now you're coming up to your hard campaign, you should be well versed how to play the game by now. It's up to you whether or not you continue with just the AI, but at this point, it's good to bring in flesh and blood co-op partners. This will start your work on "Two is Better Than One" (which requires that you play through 386 campaign areas, or roughly, the full campaign nine times) as well as give you a bit more of an edge on the stronger enemies you'll engage in hard and extreme.
If you have unlocked the Captain Emeritus nom at this point, get one of your partners to host the games, as you can start work towards your Legionnaire nom (For playing through 100 campaign areas as a 'Guest'). A crucial point here is that the battle gauge will come into play more heavily with co-op partners than when you're with just AI. Unlike the AI, Human partners will consume the battle gauge upon death. Think of the battle gauge as a sort of communal 'Lives'. If one of you dies, 500 Battle Gauge is consumed. If they die inside a VS, 1000 is consumed. This becomes a key point as you ascend the difficulties, because you're progressively given less battle gauge, and fewer opportunities to replenish it with data posts. So everyone in your party must be mindful of reduced respawning capacity on higher difficulty levels.
Once you've completed the game on Hard, Extreme will unlock, ready for you to play through. Again, as long you're careful not to die, progress carefully and support each other effectively, this shouldn't be as 'Extreme' as it sounds. Upon completion of Extreme, You should have netted enough credits to have secured all of the abilities, and most (if not all) of the weapons. If you've followed the suggested path to the letter, you will have completed 105 chapters, and have 84 areas towards your "Two is Better Than One" Trophy.
Upon completing Step 1, you will earn:
Complete Prologue A
Complete Prologue B

With at least 4 campaigns under your belt, you should be well equipped and ready to take on the online world. You need at least 100 Ranked match wins for the "Centurion" trophy, and 500 Games played for the "War Vet" Trophy. The 1000 enemies defeated, as well as the Gunner Player Rank required for the "Hot Shot" trophy should come naturally during this process.
It is *strongly* recommended you play team matches during your online conquest, as it gives you a considerably better chance of winning, and thus decreases the time required for your 100 wins. The 500 matches played for "War Vet" can be done in player matches, so don't worry too much about this, as it's going to come naturally while you grind out your noms. Be mindful of the Good Jobs and Noms De Guerre requirements while you're playing your matches, as opportunities to attain certain awards or noms might arise throughout the course of online play.
?Another component of the online game are faction matches. Faction matches are going to be one of your major stumbling blocks in attaining this platinum. A faction match is played over the course of a week. You select a faction and any games your faction wins on one of the three faction match maps for the week get added to a total. At the end of the week, the winning faction in each of the 3 maps are awarded 1 of the 3 necessary wins for the related Noms de Guerre.
To collect all the faction match related noms, you must be part of one of the three winning faction 3 times, with each of the 5 factions. This means that in your perfect scenario, those faction noms will take at the very least 15 weeks. It is recommended that you wait until late in the week to pick a faction, as by that time you'll have a clear image as to which 3 factions will have the greatest chances of winning, and you'll have the best chance possible to acquire the noms without wasting weeks being part of losing factions.
Upon completing Step 2, you will earn:

Now we come to the more tedious end of our quest for this platinum. The grinding. Assuming you've followed the roadmap to the letter, you will already have "Monster Hunter", "100-Chapter Playback", "Me Against the World" and "It's So Easy". You might also have progressive trophies like "VS Graveyard", "A Thousand Unmarked Graves" and "Endangered Species". You should have 105 of 300 chapters completed for "300-Chapter Playback" and 84 of 386 areas for "Two is Better Than One".
Each playthrough of the entire campaign is 21 chapters, across 42 areas. This means that you'll need to complete the campaign with your co-op partner a further 7 times, and complete the campaign two more times after that for "300-Chapter Playback". You don't have to grind through the campaign alone, you can mix it up by repeating different chapters. Just be mindful of how many areas are in each and keep track of how many you've done. It may be faster to repeat the same short chapter over and over again, rather than complete the campaign as a whole each time, but it is recommended for your own sanity that you don't repeat a single chapter repeatedly. It's already a grind without making it harder on yourself.
While completing your campaign trophies, keep track of how your weapons and grenades noms are progressing, and change your weapons and abilities to suit what weapon noms you need to work on next. You should also use these playthroughs to finish getting all of the Episode and Weapon related Good Job Awards if you haven't already, as well as the campaign related Noms de Guerre. As only 7 of these playthroughs will be required for "Two is Better than One", you should use one of your final two playthroughs to attain the Band of Brothers nom, which is earned for completing the campaign in *Splitscreen* Co-op.
If you're struggling to attain some of the good job awards related to weapons and grenades, a good chapter for getting them is 4-1. The first area has plenty of soldiers and the second area has a large gauntlet of rapidly spawning akrid. Remember that the Genessa, ie the akrid spawners, count as M-Sized akrid, and turrets count as VSs, so there are easier options for those Good Job Awards than going after the Vodogg, ie the dog-like M-sized Akrid in 1-2, or the standard VSs throughout the game.
Upon completing Step 3, you will earn:

Another tedious component to this platinum, you'll be spending a large portion of time attaining the remainder of the Noms De Guerre. While a large number of these noms are attainable by grinding campaign levels, it is strongly recommended that you do the majority of your dedicated nom "training" in player matches with your co-op partner.
Like the campaign, there are two noms here for hosting and joining player matches. Emcee is for hosting 100 player matches, and The Challenger is for joining 100 as a guest. So organize with your partner who will host 100 first, then swap. 200 games in, you and your partner will have both noms. It is also recommended that you use Superstar for these matches, as it will help you attain the level 99 trophies faster, and with it the "Quintuple Factionalism" trophy, by tripling the standard points you earn, thus getting you to level 99 quicker.
The first nom you pursue in this format should be the Supreme Ruler nom, which is for winning 30 consecutive games. Organise with your partner who will go first, and keep a tally of how many you've completed. While attaining the required wins, you should also train up your VS related noms. Be sure to change the weapons on the VS you're currently training to a VS weapon you also need to train, as this will accumulate damage experience with both the VS and the weapon, halving the overall time required by doing both at once.
For this setup, the map Thunderpeal Precipice is ideal, as it has plenty of VSs and and all of the VS weapons across each of the four layouts. The layout you use should be determined by which VS you currently need to train, and to a lesser extent by the weapons available on that map. Again, use some common sense as to which weapons and VS you decide to train simultaneously. For example, equipping a Dongo Gear or a Battle Neegal with a Pile Bunker will make it difficult to hit your partner, and will consequently require a lot more stuffing around. You can also do this nom faster if you skip ahead to the grenade training in VS Annihilator, but ultimately, you'll need to do the VS noms anyway, so it's best to start with them.
Once you both have the Supreme Ruler nom, you can continue taking it in turns to train VS noms on each other till they're complete, or you can move onto the nom requirements for some of the other gameplay modes like Fugitive, Data Post Grab and Akrid Egg Hunt. Working through these modes will also give you the chance to get the some of your remaining good job awards. It is also recommended that you organize enough people to do the Good Job Awards such as Team Emote: 8 Players, Regen Grenade Support: 5 Players and V Device Support: 5 Players, as well as 5 Point Man: 5 Kill Streak and Leader Heads: 5 Kill Streak. You should also take the opportunity to do all of the support weapon transform attacks, which have varying requirements, but each require at least two people to attain the noms.
Once you've completed those, and you may or may not have finished the Weapons, VS Weapons and VS Mastery noms. Your final weapon grinding task will be the remainder of your grenade noms. There are two excellent methods for training grenades, one through singleplayer campaign, the other through Player matches with a friend (the campaign method is by far the faster of the two methods, though the Player matches method works fine).
For the singleplayer campaign, set your chapter to either 1-1 or 6-4, on Easy difficulty, with your abilities being set to 'Head Start (whatever-grenade-you're-training)' and 'Grenades I'. I recommend doing it on Easy as to avoid being overwhelmed by Akrid whilst grenade spamming them, but if you're confident then feel free to up the difficulty. Also have Injection Gun I set as your Support Weapon, as this will make the process much faster. If you're not training Release grenades, then set your Release grenade to Dummy Grenade III. Now when you do either of the chapters, find yourself an Injection Gun I, and an abundant source of Akrid (the Akrid gauntlet in 1-1 or the Chryatis mobs in 6-4, for example) and inject yourself with the attack injection, ie the red one. If your Injection Gun I is set to the wrong injection, press

For Player matches, the best way to do this is to set up a VS Annihilator match on the map Cube with your partner, and equip the 'Head Start (whatever-grenade-you're-training)' and 'VS Takedown' abilities. By setting it up so that there's only the two of you, you will both start in the VS Leader suits, which are Bleed suits with abnormally large amounts of health. This is perfect for the grenade damage, as you as large a damage sponge as you can find. It's also handy if you've not yet attained Bleed Master, as you'll gain damage points towards the Bleed Master nom. From there, just use the grenades on each other, then finish one another off with the many VS weapons scattered around the arena. Then lather, rinse and repeat.
Upon completing Step 4 you will earn:
