Introduction:

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga feels like the culmination of every Lego game before it, including a number of quality-of-life improvements and expansions to the game's flying, shooting and combat previously unseen in Lego games. If you're a Star Wars fan, a Lego fan, or both, there's a lot to love about this game, and if you're a completionist (why else would you be reading this?), it will certainly keep you busy, with hundreds of characters to play as and collectibles to unlock.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete the 9 Episodes

At the start of the game, you'll have Episodes I, IV and VII to choose from, and the rest will unlock as you play. Simply complete the story, unlocking characters and racking up studs as you go.

Completing this step will earn you the following trophies:

Step 2: Free roam the Galaxy

I recommend saving your story cleanup for Step 3, once you have the stud multipliers which will make getting True Jedi a snap. You can approach your quest for Kyber Bricks however you want, but I suggest focusing on systems one by one, doing as much as you can until you need to go elsewhere. Ultimately, it's up to you though; pick your favorite locations and start completing side missions and puzzles.

Completing this step will earn you the following trophies:

''GONK!'' trophy_silver.png

Step 3: Story mode cleanup

Now is the time to go back and do your free play runs of the game's 45 story missions, getting any mini-kits or level challenges you missed, with True Jedi unlocking more or less automatically with the help of the data cards you found previously. With this done, you can spend your remaining Kyber Bricks on upgrades.

Completing this step will earn you the following trophies:

Start by purchasing the upgrades for your radar, making it much easier to find the various collectibles hidden across the map. If you find yourself unable to find some, you can purchase hints for the side missions and puzzles, which will point you to the exact spot or person you need to find what you're missing. • Achieve True Jedi in a single level

  • Achieve True Jedi in every level

True Jedi is a ranking you earn for collecting a certain number of credits in a story level, so for this trophy you will need to earn the True Jedi ranking for all 45 story levels. Unlocking the credit multipliers will make this trivial, so I recommend leaving this until after you've completed the free play mode. Once you unlock True Jedi in a level, you do not need to complete the level for it to count, simply pause the game and exit the level.
  • Complete all 'Level Challenges' in a single level

  • Complete all 'Level Challenges'

There are three level challenges per story mission, meaning there are 135 in total across the game's 9 Episodes. These range from completing objectives under a certain time to completing sections of a mission without dying, to any number of miscellaneous objectives. You can purchase hints which will spell out exactly what is required of you, making them far easier to complete, and can be done during your second free play run of each level.
  • Collect all Minikits in a single level

  • There are five mini-kits in each story mission, totaling 225 across all 9 episodes. You can purchase upgrades that will show mini-kits on your map, as well as hints that will point you in the direction of their locations or unlock requirements. You don't have to complete a level once you find them all if this is your second run through a level, simply quit the level and your progress will save.
  • Fully upgrade a character class

  • Fully upgrade all of the character classes

In order to fully upgrade every character class, you will need all 1166 Kyber Bricks in the game, making this one of the last things you'll do. There are 896 scattered throughout the game's free roam mode, with the remaining 270 found within the story levels. Free roam bricks can be tracked and hints can be purchased, whereas the story mission bricks will unlock as part of you earning True Jedi, finding the mini-kits, and completing the level challenges. Once you have enough Kyber Bricks to upgrade a character, go into the Upgrades tab and unlock them.

It is a good idea to upgrade your default stats first at the top of the screen, which will reveal collectibles on your map.
  • Datacards are this game's equivalent of the Red Bricks found in every previous Lego game, and they allow you to activate a number of modifiers to the game, ranging from silly things like giant heads, to stud multipliers. The datacards are found throughout the galaxy on various planets, and unlike the Red Bricks, they simply act as a currency, meaning that specific datacards don't correspond to specific multipliers. To make finding them easier, make sure to purchase the upgrades that will make collectibles appear on your map. The specific locations of all 19 datacards can be found below:
    • Cloud City, Bespin - Near the center of the map on the second floor, you'll find a door in a wall that needs to be opened by a scavenger. The easiest way I found to reach it is to jump from the next level up and land on the edge of the doorway.
    • Canto Bight, Cantonica - Near the bottom of the map, you'll find a dead end where you'll have to fight the Canto Bight Boyz. After beating them, at the other end of the alley from the chest, you'll see a grapple point high above you. Follow the other grapple points to reach the datacard.
    • Federal District, Coruscant - In the Senate View area of the Federal District, you'll see an enormous rock sitting in the middle of a plaza, and behind it, a locked red door. To the left of the door is a floor grate that will break when you step on it. Follow the path on the lower level around until you find a force field with the datacard behind it. Use nearby crates to weigh down the buttons to get it.
    • Uscru District, Coruscant - At the bottom of the map you'll see a ring-shaped building. Jump across from the nearby balcony and follow the ring around to the back to find the datacard.
    • Crait Outpost, Crait - Up on a unit between pipes in the central chamber. You'll need to grapple in mid-air from a nearby high platform on the left.
    • Dragonsnake Bog, Dagobah - In the bottom-right corner of the map, you'll find a tree with a grapple point on it. Climb up and the datacard will be within reach.
    • Ewok Village, Endor - On the northern-most tree, follow the path down around the tree until you reach the bottom. On the edge of the platform at the end, you should see a target hidden under some vines. Shoot it, opening the door that reveals the datacard.
    • Sith Citadel, Exegol - Above a balcony just behind the machine used to build Snoke. Go to the balcony across from the datacard, climb a rope and walk across the pipes to get it.
    • Stalgasin Hive, Geonosis - In the canyons near the center of the map, set a waypoint on the datacard and follow the markers up the cliffs. Eventually you'll find a series of handholds up the cliffs to the datacard.
    • Echo Base, Hoth - In the center of the main hanger area, you'll see the datacard on one of the lights. You'll need to scale the handholds on the wall at the back of the hangar, then grapple between the orange rails to get to it.
    • Niima Outpost, Jakku - Northeast corner, down a massive cylindrical engine immersed in the sand, among crashed X-wings and TIE fighters.
    • Kachirho, Kashyyyk - Highest-most point on the eastern section of the map. Upon finding a platform with a Wookiee reading alone, climb the outer circular platforms nearby until you find the datacard behind an open window. Jump through and grab it.
    • Crash Site, Kef Bir - In the village on the northern part of the map, in the southwest corner, behind a thatched straw hut.
    • Mining Complex, Mustafar - From the landing pad, go through the right doorway and go all the way to the end of this path until it hooks to the left. Above you and to the left, you'll see several grappling points on a column, and next to them, the datacard.
    • Maz's Castle, Takodana - Go west from where your ship lands to find a peninsula where someone is fishing. Nearby there's a tall pillar, grapple to the top and hit the button to reveal the datacard.
    • Jundland Wastes, Tatooine - Near the center of the map, find the canyon that leads to the Escape Pod Cargo vehicle, and then make your way to the top of that canyon. You're looking for a wall that only Jedi/Sith can climb, and then you'll need to cross a series of swinging bars to reach the datacard.
    • Mos Eisley, Tatooine - Northwest corner of the map, near the front of a building with three red and white awnings. You'll need to stack two nearby crates to jump up and grab it.
    • Mos Espa, Tatooine - In the slave quarters section of the map, find Anakin's house, and you'll find an alley behind his house on the northern edge of the map. Follow it until you find the datacard.
    • Great Temple, Yavin 4 - On a stone platform in the air in the center of the hangar. Get on top of the metal scaffolding and grapple up the points to reach the datacard.
  • Collect 1000 Kyber Bricks

  • Collect all characters

Characters are unlocked by completing story missions, or by completing events like side missions or races in free play. You can purchase hints if there are specific characters you're having trouble finding, but as part of completing the game's events you will unlock everyone for purchase. From there, you will need to actually purchase every character through the character select screen. By the time you have every character unlocked, you'll have more than enough studs to afford everyone.
  • Complete all of the events in the Galaxy

This will be the culmination of your free play time, and is unlocked after getting 100% on every planet (including the space above each planet). To make this as easy as possible, approach each planet systematically, make liberal use of the game's hint system, and track missions whenever you're unsure of what to do next. Many side missions will require you to planet hop, and many missions will require you to complete other missions on other planets first, but by unlocking hints for what you're missing, the game will tell you where to go and what to do first. If you're missing any missions or kyber bricks on a planet, make sure to check the Trials tab under Missions, and remember to search for the Capital Ships by skipping around the various space sections of the game.
  • Complete all races in the Galaxy

Races are scattered throughout the game's free play mode, and can be found on planets and in space, indicated by a checkered flag logo. You'll need to beat the Gold time to complete the race, which will also unlock you a character, ship or kyber brick, which counts towards your final completion.
  • Complete all Galaxy Challenges

Galaxy Challenges are a series of challenges that aren't tied to a specific planet or area, and require hopping between multiple locations to find, destroy or complete specific objectives. They can be found and tracked through the Missions tab, and tracking them will give you a general location of where to go to find the things you're looking for.

In the specific case of the challenge for destroying Mouse Droids with helmets on them, I found that the location given by the tracker wasn't always completely accurate. Use that as a general guide, and then broaden your search until you see the droid, or you see a red dot moving quickly on your mini-map.
  • Use Jedi Mind Tricks to make 5 people fight simultaneously in the Cantina

After completing the various side missions in the Cantina during free play, you'll eventually have two groups of characters that hang out on either side of the bar (you'll see the red dots on the mini-map). You will need to fully upgrade your Jedi skills so that the duration and affect size are at their maximum, and then simply use the Panic option when doing a Jedi Mind Trick to have them start to fight.
  • Ride all creatures throughout the Galaxy

There are 10 rideable creatures throughout the game, and if you make a habit of riding everything you find, you'll likely get this trophy without trying. Here is a full list if you're struggling, but just keep in mind that there is no in-game way of knowing which creature you've ridden.
    • Fathier, Cantonica - Fathiers are the horse-like creatures that are raced as part of Canto Bight's casino. There is a race you'll need to complete as part of your platinum that will have you riding a Fathier.
    • Orray, Geonosis - As far as I can tell, the orray can only be found as part of Episode II's story. During the big battle in the arena, you will face off against several large creatures, alongside waves of Geonosians, some of whom will be riding Orrays.
    • Reek, Geonosis - As with the Orray, the reek can only be found during Episode II's story missions, during the big arena fight. After the first battle against the creatures while you're chained to the pillar, a cutscene will play and a second battle will start. During this, approach the reek and you'll have the opportunity to ride it.
    • Tauntaun, Hoth - These are the white, two-legged creatures that can be found in the hangar of Echo Base.
    • Kaadu, Naboo - These are the duck-billed mounts used by Gungans in Gungan City. They can also be found in the Episode I story level where you're fending off waves of droids under a bubble shield.
    • Luggabeast, Jakku - This will likely be the creature you miss if you miss any, due to its appearance being more like a robot than a living creature. After completing the Luggabeast of Burden mission in Tuanul Village, head to Niima Outpost, where a luggabeast will be standing nearby. Look for the blocky blue head of this four-legged creature.
    • Orbak, Kef Bir - Orbaks are the horse-like creatures that you'll ride as part of completing Episode IX's story levels, but you can also find them on Kef Bir during a side mission where a rancher will ask you to round up his escaped Orbaks.
    • Bantha, Tatooine - Banthas are the enormous wooly creatures that can be found wandering the Jundland Wastes, but they also make appearances in both cities on Tatooine
    • Dewback, Tatooine - Dewbacks are the large, four-legged lizards that stormtroopers use for transportation. One will be near the Cantina in Mos Eisley
    • Ronto, Tatooine - Rontos are the largest creatures in the game, and will be easily noticeable soon after arriving in Mos Eisley
  • Earn 10,000,000,000 studs

This will take a while, but if you're diligent about collecting the datacards early on in your free play run and you unlock the stud multipliers at your first opportunity, you'll have this done before being finished with the rest of the game. I recommend not making any purchases until you've at least purchased the first couple multipliers, so as to avoid dragging your stud collecting out any longer than necessary.
  • Destroy 100 TIE fighters

You'll likely get this over the course of your story mode playthrough, but the space missions in free play will give you additional TIE fighters to battle as well. As best I can tell, they need to be specifically be TIE fighters or any of their variants (interceptors, bombers, etc.) but there are plenty of space battles in episodes IV-IX.
  • Defeat 3 enemies at the same time with an explosion

The most reliable way of getting this is by either using an explosive crate or by using a villain character that can throw explosives. Your best bet is to find an encounter where you're swarmed with enemies (the Episode VII level where you're trying to coax Phasma out of a room or any of the capital ship encounters are good options) and then get a group of enemies crowded together.
  • Shoot helmets off 50 enemies

You will easily unlock this as part of your playthrough. Any time you are fighting against any helmet-wearing enemy while you're using a blaster, simply aim for a headshot and you will knock their helmet off. Once you've done this to 50 enemies, you'll get this trophy.
  • Create 25 disguises as a Hero character

This can be unlocked very quickly during your free play run of the game's story levels. Throughout any levels featuring stormtroopers (or any variation of a stormtrooper), they will occasionally drop one of three parts of their uniform. Any Hero character (check your unlocked characters) can put the uniform on as a disguise. For the trophy, put all three parts of any disguise on, and then swap to a different character (with the d-pad, not by pressing l1.png). The disguise will fall off, allowing you to switch back to your Hero character to put it on again. Simply do this 25 times for the trophy.
  • Achieve a combat multiplier score of 30

You'll likely earn this over the course of your platinum, but the easiest opportunity to get this will be during any of the game's many boss fights with lightsaber wielding bosses. At multiple points during these battles, you'll enter a kind of QTE where you will have to mash the triangle.png button, quickly racking your combo multiplier up to 25. From there, continue to attack (throwing your lightsaber with r2.png with certain characters is an easy way to continue your multiplier) until you get it over 30. The game is very generous with keeping your multiplier going, so it should be a matter of time before you reach 30.
  • Complete all the Jawa's ''Faulty Droid'' missions on Tatooine

In the Jundland Wastes area of the game, you'll eventually find a series of missions given to you by Jawas that involve escorting or fighting droids. There are a lot of these missions, and they are unlocked sequentially until you're finally tasked with tracking down and fighting all of them one last time. With this complete, you will earn the trophy.
  • Complete all the GNK droid escort missions

Scattered throughout the open world section of the game are seven missions that require you to help a GNK droid. Typically these require following the droid and killing waves of enemies, with a couple exceptions. You will naturally complete these missions as part of your free play completion, but if you're in the mood to get these done quickly, here are their locations:
    • Jundland Wastes, Tatooine
    • Canto Bight, Cantonica
    • Kachirho, Kashyyyk
    • Stalgasin Hive, Geonosis
    • Utapau City, Utapau
    • Death Star II Ruins, Kef Bir
    • Mustafar Space
The Mustafar Space mission must be completed last, and will only appear after completing the first six missions. A common issue people have with this mission (and some of the space missions in general) is having your ship unable to lock on to enemy ships, making the combat much more difficult. To solve this, switch to Luke's X Wing fighter in your ship selection screen.
  • Complete a flight level without dying

As it suggests, this trophy is unlocked for completing any of the story levels where you're piloting a spaceship as opposed to the usual walking around levels. You'll certainly complete this as part of your platinum, and the levels aren't particularly difficult to stay alive in.
