*Note* - The Welcome To Bricksburg Trophy is potentially glitched. Some users have reported that if you break the bench just outside of Emmet's House and build the grapple point before getting Batman then the bench will be unbreakable later on. This means that you may potentially not be able to rescue one of the cats to get the x10 Red Brick. I recommend not destroying the bench until after you unlock Batman and until after you have started the quest.

Introduction:
The Lego Movie Videogame is the latest LEGO game in the long running series but this time instead of being based on a property, it is based entirely on LEGO’s, specifically the movie released at the same time as the game. This is the first time that every world is made entirely out of LEGO pieces which really helps the authenticity of the game. If you’re tired of the same old LEGO games then this may be for you as it is a real trip to play through some of these trippy levels.

Step 1: Complete the game in Story Mode
As always be sure to complete the Story Mode first collecting any collectibles that you may find along the way. You can attempt to go for the Specials here as well but they are very easily obtained in Free Play, you should still try to gain as many studs as possible so that you can purchase some red bricks.

Step 2: Purchase Red Brick Multipliers and required Free Play characters
At the beginning of this step you should have enough studs to purchase at least the x2 and x4 red bricks so go ahead and do so, see Welcome to Bricksburg for their locations. After doing so you will want to purchase the necessary characters for Free Play including Lord Business or President Business, MetalBeard, and the Caveman.

Step 3: Complete the game in Free Play collecting all Golden Manuals and Pants while achieving the Special.
This is where you will be collecting all of the Golden Manuals, the Pants and making up for any Specials you may have missed. You will want to make sure you have the Red Bricks on so you can gain quite a bit of money. It would also be a good idea to use the characters that have kill x amount of trophies attached to them to prevent having to replay levels later on.

Here is a list of all the abilities in the game and a few characters that can use each ones. The ones with stars need to be bought for Free Play.

Step 4: Purchase all remaining Red Bricks and Characters, Build All Golden Manuals and collect remaining gold bricks.
In this step you should be putting that hard earned money to good use, buying up everything in sight. You should also go over to the Bonus Room and put together all of the Golden Manual Instructions together and collect the gold bricks scattered around the room.

Step 5: Cleanup
If you have any kill x number of enemies with x character trophies left now is the time to do them. If you haven’t gotten the trophies for playing as both characters or for switching from one character to another than you should go ahead and do those two. Once you have cleaned everything up you should have a shiny new Platinum Trophy!!! Congratulations!

Glitch note:

There is a problem with the Pants in the Brickburg Construction site that means you have to get them via Story Mode and not Free Play:

There is a glitch in Free Play during the Bricksburg Construction level that sometimes happens when starting the dance, as the characters will just dance but you can't do anything with them. This means to get the pants in that level, you will to do it in Story Mode instead of Free Play. To reduces the chances of this glitching, just do everything with Emmet and Gail. If things still won't work properly, then put your PS4 into safe mode and rebuild the database.

You Are The Special

Achieve The Special in every level (Single Player).
There are 15 levels that you must achieve the Special in to unlock this trophy. You can achieve the Special in either Story Mode or Free Play. You will get the Special in most of the levels in Story Mode without trying. If you happen to miss one or two, I missed 2 out of 15, then buy some red brick multipliers and you will have no problem achieving the Special in Free Play. See the Welcome to Bricksburg Trophy for the locations of the Red Bricks. The stud requirements for each level are as follows:

1) Bricksburg Construction: 105,000 studs
2) Escape From Bricksburg: 80,000 studs
3) Flatbush Gulch: About 110,000 studs
4) Flatbush Rooftops: 210,000 studs
5) Esacpe From Flatbush: 48,000 studs

Welcome To Bricksburg

Collect all of the Red Bricks (Single Player).

There are 20 Red Bricks in the LEGO the Movie Video Game. Compared to past Lego games they are relatively cheap and easy to find. Their locations are as follows:

1) X2 Stud Multiplier: In Bricksburg, across from the police station, you will have to use Vitruvius to open the wall and then turn on the crane. Use a second character to ride the platform up and pull the switch. Push the box around to the front side of the fountain and lock it into place and the red brick will appear. (250,000 studs)

2) X4 Stud Multiplier: In the Wild West, on the far left will be a bank and a guy will tell you it was robbed, you will have to find the three robbers. On the far left, head into the second floor of the barn on the far left and push the box out, use the Caveman to light the fire. (1/3) On top of the jail cell building, use the grapple point. (2/3) On the Saloon Building just below the word Saloon is a Vitruvius Point. (3/3) (500,000 studs)

3) X6 Stud Multiplier: In Cloud Cuckoo land fly over to the right onto the island with the three sets of three colored buttons. Line up the picture with the correct color for all three and the red brick is yours. (1,000,000 studs)

4) X8 Stud Multiplier: In Octan Tower after opening the black and red door head through and fly up in to the center and activate all three terminals. One will open the door right behind the starting location of the broadcast news level. Walk over to the wheel and activate it, when it stops the minikit will appear. (2,500,000 studs)

5) X10 Stud Multiplier: Right outside of Emmet's house in Bricksburg will be a woman who wants her five cats back. The first is in the back left corner up on the roof, next to the billboard that you have to master build. (1/5) The second one is in the first floor of the station where the instruction page is. You will need Long leg Lord Business to access it. See the Fast Repair Brick for how to access Long Leg Lord Business Man. (2/5) The third is right above the last one, use the hack station on the left side of the station to get him. (3/5) The fourth one is on the building to the left of the construction entrance if you're facing it. On the top left is an outhouse with a target on top, hit the target to get the cat. (4/5) When facing Emmet's house, to the left is a balcony with a grapple point, the cat is on the balcony. (5/5) (5,000,000 studs)

6) Collect Guide Studs: In Bricksburg, on top of the station is a master build for a billboard. (1/3) Directly across from Emmets house in the square, back left corner, there is a pink and green fence that you can destroy and build LEGO’s from. Use Wildstyle to get to the top and complete the master build of the billboard. (2/3) The third one is across from the police station, you will have to use Vitruvius to open the wall and then turn on the crane. Use a second character to ride the platform up and then head to the left and destroy some LEGO’s to reveal a Master Build Point. (3/3) (50,000 studs)

7) Attract Studs: In Cuckoo Land, just down from the portal, to the left of the staircase is a grapple point, do so and then repair the box. (1/3) Through the silver door to the left, the box is right in front of you. (2/3) In the top right tower is the box. (3/3) (600,000 studs)

8) Character Studs: In the Wild West, melt the door around the jail cell in the back right corner, to the left of the graveyard. (1/3) Destroy the water tower in the back left of the map up top, on the saloon roof. (2/3) In the horse coral to the right, go get in with Vitruvius. (3/3) (100,000 studs)

9) Gold Instruction Page Detector: On top of the Saloon in the Wild West. (200,000 studs)

10) Pants Detector: In Bricksburg in the park outside of Emmet’s house, destroy the tree in the corner to reveal a master builder point, only the right tree when facing the park from Emmet's house, use it and the red brick is yours. *Note* The Master Build spot will not show up until after you have completed all story levels. (200,000 studs)

11) Red Brick Detector: In Cloud Cuckoo Land, just down from the portal, the building in the back left has a target to destroy, destroy it and then use Wyldstyle to jump up and grab the instruction page. (1/3) Head down from the portal and head to the left, use metalbeard to destroy the silver wall then master build the staircase and head up and grab the instruction page. (2/3) In the back right tower, use batman to grapple the point and head through the doorway. (3/3) (200,000 studs)

12) Fast Boomerangs: In Cloud cuckoo land head down from the portal and to the left will some rainbow bricks, destroy and build them and then climb up and use the caveman to light the rocket on fire. (1/3) Head down from the portal and into the door on the left, silver, head over to the small island. The rocket is in the center. (2/3) The rocket is on the first island to the right. (3/3) (100,000 studs)

13) Fast Secret Knock: In Cloud Cuckoo Land, head down from the portal and head to the left, use metalbeard to destroy the wall then master build the staircase and head up and grab the red brick. (100,000 studs)

14) Fast Build: In the old west, head to the right and put out the fire. (100,000 studs)

15) Fast Repair: After completing the first level just before exiting the construction site, off to the right are some guys needing a drill, switch to Gail and use the drill for an instruction page. (1/3) To the right of road leaving the park area, there will be a green and pink fence on your right, climb up to the roof and jump onto the awning below. Use Vitruvius’ staff and throw it into the hole so you can swing across and grab the instruction page. (2/3) The last instruction page is on the first floor of the station, but to get in there you will first have to go just to the right of the entrance to the Construction Yard and destroy the red box. After doing so build it back up and use Lord Business to hit the switch and grow tall. Then walk over to the right side of the station and on the wall will be the switch that opens the door. Inside is the instruction page. (3/3) (100,000 studs)

16) Regenerate Hearts: In Octan Tower after opening the first door, on the left wall will be a rainbow poster. (1/3) From where you start, to the left of the ramp are so gold LEGO’s, melt them then build the rainbow pieces. (2/3) After activating the terminals in the high center of the tower, the rainbow pieces are just to the right of the start of the Broadcast News level. (3/3) (100,000 studs)

17) Invincibility: After opening the first big red and black door head through and to the right, right above you is a terminal that opens the door behind you. Activate the terminal and inside the room will be the red brick. (100,000 studs)

18) Fast Hack: In Octan Tower, right after grabbing the Invincibility red brick, jump through the window, down to where you started and use Green Lantern to build the LEGO’s. Then use Lord Business to grow tall and hit the switch on the wall in the front left corner. (100,000 studs)

19) Extra Hearts: In Octan Tower, after opening the big red door, head to the right and down the hallway to the left and into the next room. On the right wall will be a point that WyldStyle can climb, at the top push the box off and the destroy them and rebuild the Legos, then use Batman to pull the handle. (1/5) After opening the big red and black door fly up to the left and pull down the LEGO builder poster. (2/5) In the room the Invincibility Red Brick was in, on the right wall is the poster. (3/5) Just to the right of the portal, use MetalBeard to break the silver legos then pull the grapple handle. (4/5) Straight ahead of the big red door is a blue box that needs to be repaired, do so and then break the box that comes up. Repair the grapple point and pull it. (5/5) (100,000 studs)

20) Fast Drill: In the Wild West there are five birds you will have to knock off their perches. From the start of the world to the left in the center of the coral is some rainbow bricks, build them. (1/5) Above the bank on the far left is a drill spot. (2/5) On the far right in the graveyard, just in front of the building, destroy the gravestones and you will be able to build a switch. (3/5) On top of the sheriffs station is a hack mini game, complete it. (4/5) Inside the barn on the far left, second floor, are some Legos, destroy them, then rebuild them. (5/5) (100,000 studs)

Collect all Golden Manuals.

There are 75 golden manuals that you must collect, 5 per level. Some can be gotten in Story Mode or Free Play while some have to be gotten in Free Play. Once you have collected everything from a level you can save and quit, you do NOT have to play the entire level.

After you have collected all of the golden manuals, see the Build Things Only You Can Build Trophy for their locations, head to the Bonus Room. In the center of the room is a station where you can build all 15 manuals, do so and the trophy is yours.
Business Business Business

Earn 1,000,000,000 studs.

Simply buy all of the red brick multipliers and you will finish the game with way over 1,000,000,000 studs. See the Welcome to Bricksburg Trophy for the location of the Red Bricks. You have to have 1 billion on hand for the trophy to pop, this is NOT cumulative. I finished with about 10 billion studs so you will get this naturally. Check out the video below for the locations of the red brick stud multipliers.
Everything Is Awesome!

Achieve 100% completion.
To achieve 100% completion you must do the following:

Purchase all 96 characters.
Purchase all 20 Red Bricks.
Unlock all 70 Gold Bricks. To unlock them you need to:
- Complete all levels in Story Mode. (15 Gold Bricks)
- Complete all levels in Free Play and gather all Golden Manuals. (15 Gold Bricks)
- Collect all 15 pairs of Pants. (15 Gold Bricks)
- Achieve the Special in all 15 Story/Free Play levels. (15 Gold Bricks)
- Unlock the 10 Gold Bricks in the Bonus Room. (10 Gold Bricks)

Here are the locations of the gold bricks in the bonus room:

1) In the fish tank in the back left corner up high.
2) Head up to the top left and climb the plant and head up past the mp3 and push the truck over the edge.
3) Complete the hacking mini game straight ahead.
4) On top of the desk ahead is a corkboard, all the way at the top.
5) On top of the red chest in the back right corner.
6) Behind you is a grate that you can melt off, inside is the gold brick.
7) Behind you is a ramp made of LEGO books, inside the circular tube.
8) Underneath the bed is a box, pull it down and build all the LEGO pieces and the gold brick will be in the box.
9) Collect 1,000,000 studs in the Bonus Room and a Gold Brick will appear.
10) Get in the car that you used to knock the books over and drive it over to the build station and you will see 5 equal looking signs on the floor. Follow the stud trail and once you get back to the start the gold brick will be in front of you.

Really hard? This be Impossible!

Destroy 50 enemies as MetalBeard.
MetalBeard is the very large pirate robot man that is given to you to use in Story Mode. You will most likely get this before finishing Story Mode, every time he is available to use do so and destroy everything in your path.
The Opposite Of Happiness

Defeat 20 enemies as Rage Unikitty.
Unikitty is the unicorn kitty creature that you meet in Cloud Cuckoo Land. Rage Unikitty is the creature Unikitty turns into when you hold Circle. Shortly after learning about Rage Unikitty you will have to defeat 20 enemies to advance, defeat all 20 with Rage Unikitty and the trophy is yours.
Ah! The Kragle!

Kragelize 10 people with the Kragle gun.

After you purchase Lord Business, hop into Free Play and Kragelize 10 enemies with the Kragle Gun, once you do the trophy will pop. Kragelize them is turning them into glue, you can use the same enemy more than once if you would like.
Building Bad

Attempt a Master Build-It with a Non-Master Builder

The earliest this can be gotten is during level 2, Escape from Bricksburg. When in the alley building the cycle a green circle will appear on the floor to finish the build, instead of using Wyldsyde use Emmet and the trophy is yours. If you miss it then this can be gotten at any Master Build spot in the game using Frank the Foreman.
Pow Pow! Bullet Bullet! Gun!

Defeat 30 enemies as Emmet Cowboy.
You will unlock Emmet Cowboy after arriving in the Wild West. Simply defeat 30 enemies with him and the trophy is yours, this can be done in Story Mode or Free Play.
Ayayaya!

Defeat 20 enemies as Sheriff Not-A-Robot.
Simply purchase Sheriff Not-A-Robot and defeat 20 enemies with him. This can be gotten in Story Mode or Free Play.
I Could Sing This Song For Hours

Score 21 awesome dance moves in the Construction Site dance mini game.

This takes place in level Bricksburg Construction, you will know its about to begin after you have fixed two speakers. The trick is to wait till the icon is in the circle and it twinkles, flashes, sparkles, whichever word you prefer. If you hit the corresponding icon when it does that you will get all 21 no problem. The trophy will pop after the score screen. If you happen to miss any you can stand in front of the stereo and press and it will restart the dance for you. You must get all 21 awesome scores in one game, you cannot get 11 in one game and 10 in a second game. According to Combatting, there is a sweet spot somewhere on the dance floor that will allow you to retry the dance if you fail it.
No Way, This Is My Jam.

Score 21 awesome dance moves in the Kragelizer dance mini game.

This takes place in level Put that Thing on That Thing. The trick is to wait till the icon is in the circle and it twinkles, flashes, sparkles, whichever word you prefer. If you hit the corresponding icon when it does that you will get all 21 no problem. The trophy will pop after the score screen. If you happen to miss any you can stand in front of the jukebox and press and it will restart the dance for you. You must get all 21 awesome scores in one game, you cannot get 11 in one game and 10 in a second game.
Firestarter

Make a Fire.

This can be done with the Caveman in the Wild West. You will have to light the barn in the left side of the world on fire to flush out one of the robbers of the bank. As soon as you light the fire the trophy will pop. This can also be done in Cloud Cuckoo Land when lighting any of the three rockets. A third spot to do this is during the level Infiltrate the Octan Tower in Free Play, as soon as you start the level in the back right corner by the door is a fire spot. This can also be done in the level Infiltrate the Octan Tower right at the beginning of the level. In the back right corner in the starting area will be a door that you have to open to get a golden manual and pair of pants, you can use Gordon Zola to start the fire. Also to get this trophy you must walk up to the point and hit , you cannot throw dynamite at it to get the trophy. Check out the video below for how to complete this trophy.

The easiest place to achieve this is in the level Bricksburg Construction. You will only have one item to pick, you are looking for the tree. You have a limited amount of time to pick the correct one before the stud count drops. If you fail you can restart the level. There are a few in later levels as well that only have one and you will be more familiar with how the process works. It may take you a try or two but you will get it fairly easily.
I Am The Computer

Collect all studs in any hacking mini-game
I got this in the very first hacking game I encountered after gaining Benny. Simply hop around and gather all the studs without getting hit. After you have gathered all the studs a purple one will appear in the center of the level that you will have to grab as well. Finish the level without getting hit and the trophy is yours.
Wear Clothes… Check!

Customise your character.
This can be done in Cloud Cuckoo Land, from the portal head straight and go through the center gate over the rainbow bridge. You will enter the customization arena, make any change and the trophy is yours.
A House Divided

Play as Abraham Lincoln and Lady Liberty.
Abraham Lincoln will be given to you during the story, Lady Liberty you will have to purchase. All you have to do is play as each one, while in the HUB world choose Abraham Lincoln, then switch to Lady Liberty and the trophy is yours. It’s that simple.
SPACESHIP SPACESHIP!

Complete all Master Builds in Server Room as Benny.
This takes place in the level Broadcast News. You will come to an area where you get MetalBeard and you will have to build a spaceship. In this area you will have to complete three Master Builds, use Benny for all three of them and the trophy will pop right after.
I Super Hate You Right Now

Play as Superman and Green Lantern.
You will most likely unlock this automatically during the Story in the level Attack on Bricksburg. You will be given both Superman and the Green Lantern during different times of the level. Simply switch to each one at some point and the trophy is yours. They do not have to be in your party at the same time, you just have to had played with them each at some point.
It's Just Business

Use Lord Business Legs Machine.
You can unlock this easily in the level Bricksburg Construction Free Play. After starting the level head to the right and melt the gold lock on the gate and head through. In the next area head all the way to the right and you will see a red and black switch that only Lord Business or President Business can use. Use the switch and the trophy will pop.
The Prophecy, I Made It Up!

Switch from Vitruvius into Ghost Vitruvius.

You will be given Vitruvius during the Wild West levels and Ghost Vitruvius you will have to purchase after unlocking him late in the game. After purchasing Ghost Vitruvius, switch to Vitruvius and then over to Ghost Vitruvius and the trophy is yours.
END OF THE LINE!

Shoot Emmet with Robo Skeleton.

After you purchase Robo Skeleton have both them in your party and then shoot Emmet with Robo Skeleton and the trophy is yours.
Glues Your Daddy?

Use the Kragle Gun to shoot Ma and Pa Bad Cop in the Relic Room.

The Relic Room is found in the level Infiltrate the Octan Tower, it is the room with the lasers and bunch of random items. This must be done in Free Play and you must have Ma and Pa Bad Cop and Lord Business unlocked. Have all three of them in your party and then shoot Ma and Pa Bad Cop with the Kragle Gun and the trophy will pop. You will only be allowed to have two people in your party so choose one of them Kragelize them and then switch to the other one and do the same. Check out the video for how to complete this.
To The Invisible Jet!

Find and destroy the Invisible Jet.
The Invisible Jet can be found right at the beginning of the level Welcome to Cloud Cuckoo Land, this has to be done in Free Play. Check out the video below for the exact location.

Go to the Cloud Cuckoo Land (accessed from the Old West hub). When you start the level, go to the right and there should be a cloud made of rainbow bricks. Destroy it with Unikitty, build and use the springboard, and you should be in a new area. The invisible jet is right next to you. I just hit it with Unikitty.

Smash a chair as Bad Cop.

This can be gotten in the Level Escape from Bricksburg in Free Play in the very first room. At the back of the room in the center will be a chair, switch to Bad Cop and then interact with the icon on the ground and the trophy is yours. Bad Cop will be given to you during Story Mode. Check out the video below for the location and how to unlock this trophy.

Switch from Good Cop (Scribble Face) to Bad Cop.
