Road Map

Introduction: Welcome to Lego Indy 2. As if the Lego spawn of video games wasn’t oversaturated as it is, they’ve decided to throw another one into the mix, a sequel no less. If you are keen on the Lego formula, then you’re sure to find some pleasure in this game. What you will not find is innovation. Nevertheless, the game is fun for what it is and the cornball humor is mostly enjoyable. While this game is very easy, especially with the aid of cheats (listed at the end of the guide), it is plagued with some very frustrating glitches, which can extend the playtime of this game well beyond its prime. So, if you’re looking for a short painless platinum, look elsewhere. However, if you are a fan of the Lego franchise or have some kids that are Lego enthusiasts, then stick around.

Warning: Glitched Trophies. There are three trophies that are causing a ton of frustration for people trying to get the platinum. They are “You choose the wrong friends.”, “Not as easy as it used to be.” and “No defiant last words Dr. Jones?”. Fortunately, there seems to be solid working work-arounds for these glitches. See those various trophies’ mini-guides for more details.

Step 1: Complete all the story mode hubs to 100%. See the “No defiant last words Dr. Jones?” trophy for details on what is required to get 100%. You will have all of the trophies from the “Main Story Hub Trophies” section of this guide, when you finish this step. Along the way, you can easily be knocking out the vast majority the secret trophies. You should look at those and glance at their descriptions to give you an idea of how to save time. Also, as mentioned in the overview above, you can use cheats in this game. I recommend using all the red and blue cheats, as soon as possible. To enter or enable cheats, simply enter the cheat menu in the pause screen. I've put the cheat codes at the end of the guide. Once you've entered a code, that cheat is saved to your gamesave and is always available thereafter. If you enable the cheat, it will remain active for the duration of your gaming session. However, you will have to re-enable cheats everytime you boot up the game anew. The red cheats give you stud multipliers and will make getting "True Adventurer" a cinch. The blue ones will make you pretty much invulnerable. The green ones don't really do anything except change the appearance of some characters or items. I do not recommend using the character cheats because you still need to unlock the characters in game in order to get the 100% trophy and unlocking a character via a cheat can cause confusion.

Step 2: Complete the Creator hub to 100%. In getting 100% for the creator hub, you will most likely get one, maybe two, of the trophies listed in the “Creator Hub Trophies” portion of this guide.

Step 3: Get the remaining Creator hub trophies. Just go to the “Creator Hub Trophies” portion of this guide and knock out these simple trophies.

Step 4: Mop up. If you missed any of the trophies or if you had some trophies glitch on you (like they did me ), then clean them up now.

  • Complete all Bonus Levels in Skull 3 Hub.

See the “No defiant last words Dr. Jones?” trophy.

  • Edit a Bonus level in the Builder.

Go to “Level Builder” in the Creator hub and create a new level. Go to the “Bonus Theme” column and choose any level except the first option which is “Start With Empty Level”. For example, I chose “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. Once the map loads, simply place any item of your choice anywhere on the map. Now, save and exit and the trophy is yours.

  • Create a validated Builder level.

Go to “Level Builder” in the Creator hub and select an empty level to create a new one in. Once in, build five trees and five purple studs. Now, pause the game and select “Test Level”. Smash your trees and pick up the studs, then walk through the door. The game will tell you that your level has been validated. Now, pause, choose “Exit Builder” and then “Save and Exit”. Be sure to save this level so you can use it for the “What a vivid imagination.” trophy.

  • Create a customised character.

Go to “Character Creator” in the Creator hub. Choose an empty slot and select create. Just change one or more aspects of the character. (I had the game randomly generate a character.) Now, pause, return to the warehouse, and save and exit.

  • Complete the Builder Tutorial levels.

Go to “Level Builder” in the Creator hub and select an empty level to create a new one in. The four tutorial levels are the levels in the first column on the far left. You will have to finish all the tutorials before being able to build freely.

  • Complete a 'Build Your Own Adventure'.

You can go for this trophy before getting the “And I even like the color.” trophy, but I don’t recommend doing that. Instead, you should unlock that trophy following the steps outlined in its mini-guide. Having done so, you should now go to the “Build Your Own Adventure” in the Creator hub. From there, choose an empty slot and create a new level. Choose any quest item you like. Choose any characters you like. For the level, scroll down to “My Level Set 1” and the level you created and saved for the “And I even like the color.” trophy will be available. Choose it. Now, choose any vehicle you like. Finally, select “Done”. The game will save the level to your adventure. Now, select the level and play through it. The trophy will pop once you complete your very easy level.

Secret trophies

  • Unlock the Grail Knight.

See the “No defiant last words Dr. Jones?” trophy.

  • Defeat 50 Russians with Mutt.

Mutt is one of the main characters for all three Crystal Skull hubs. As long as you use him for any fighting sequences you come across during story mode, this trophy should unlock towards the end of Crystal Skull 2. If you still haven’t gotten the trophy by the end of Crystal Skull 3, a good place to farm it is “Café Chaos” in Crystal Skull 1.

  • Destroy Indy 3 times with Mac.

This could very well be the first trophy you get. Mac is the secondary character for the very first level you play. Just select him, let his fists fly and destroy Indy three times.

  • Use Scholar access 10 times.

You will only be required to use a scholar five or six times during the various story hub levels. However, there is a good spot to farm this in the “Lava Lake” treasure level in the Temple hub. Just enter the level, select the scholar, go to the far left, climb the ladder, use the scholar on the hieroglyph and exit the level. Now repeat until the trophy unlocks.

  • Fire a Bazooka 100 times.

This will most likely come naturally in your quest for 100%, since various objects require an explosive to destroy and this is often facilitated by a bazooka. In the unlikely event that you don’t have this by the end of story mode, just pick your favorite story hub and find the bazooka character within. Then fire away.

  • Complete all plane races. (Single Player Only)

    (2)

See the “No defiant last words Dr. Jones?” trophy. The races don’t actually count towards the 100%, but each race unlocks a character for you to purchase and these characters are needed to get 100%.

  • Complete Hangar 51 in under 5 minutes.

    (10)

Hanger 51 is the first level you play. The in game name is actually “Hanger Havoc” in the . It is not likely that you will get trophy on your first play, although it is possible and ironically you’ll probably need to. (See below.) There are a few reports that this trophy unlocked without any problems. However, this was not the case for me and many others. So, be warned, this trophy can be glitchy. The good news is there seems to be a working work-around. Just follow these steps:

    1. Practice the level until you can consistently beat it under 5 minutes. Obviously, if the trophy unlocks, you don’t need to proceed with the steps below.
    2. Once you’re consistently getting under 5 minutes, start a new game on a new save file. Recall that Hanger Havoc is the first level you are thrown into.
    3. To make the level easier, you can use cheats. To save time, I recommend only entering “fast build” and “invincibility”.
  • Destroy Indy with Spalko.

Spalko becomes available for purchase after you have cleared Skull 3 hub. Once you’ve purchased her destroy Indy.

  • Unlock all of the enemies in the game. (Single Player Only)

See the “No defiant last words Dr. Jones?” trophy.

  • Destroy 100 enemy vehicles.

Each story hub has a vehicle level that requires you to destroy a bunch of enemy vehicles. If you don’t have this by the time you finish your last hub, just replay your favorite one. Mine was the “Cannon Canyon” in the Crusade hub.

  • Unlock all of the vehicles in the game. (Single Player Only)

See the “No defiant last words Dr. Jones?” trophy.

  • Complete all Story Levels in Quick Play modes. (Single Player Only)

    (9)

The good news: you only need to do the story mode levels in quick play, not the treasure or bonus levels. The (really, really) bad news: this is yet another trophy that is glitchy and I mean very glitchy. But yet again, there is a functioning work-around. Thanks to rbanke for his wonderful tinkering. Here are the steps:

    1. Complete all of the story levels in quick play in a single session, preferably in sequence without ever playing anything outside of quick play.
    2. Go to Level Builder and create a random non-bonus level.
    3. While in your created level, immediately validate it by pausing the game, entering test mode, and walking through the door.
    4. Exit the level and save and quit.
    5. Go to “Build Your Own Adventure” and create a level in the “Malice in the Palace” level with two bazooka characters. You can tinker with the other settings if you like, but I just chose the first available option.
    6. Play and finish the level you created. The trophy should unlock after the second cut-scene.
  • Unlock the Interdimensional Being. (Single Player Only)

    (1)

See the “No defiant last words Dr. Jones?” trophy.

  • Find all the Artifacts in the game. (Single Player Only)

See the “No defiant last words Dr. Jones?” trophy. Artifacts are the treasure chest that you receive upon completing treasure levels and bonus levels.

  • Complete the game to 100% (Single Player Only)

    (2)

    (Glitched)

    Major Toht Glitch:

If you take the torch from the holder at the top of the stairs in the Raiders of the Lost Ark Hub then exit the level (either by quitting the game or entering a story or treasure level), the torch may disappear forever, preventing you from unlocking Major Toht. To avoid this glitch, just be sure not to grab the torch until you've built the campfire and are ready to light it. As far as I know, there is no fix for this issue except to restart the game. Credit to locoporkko for this info.

Any trophy that references this one, will be unlocked in your quest for this trophy. Once again, this is a trophy that has been known to not unlock when it's supposed to (i.e. upon reaching 100% completion). However, most people have found that playing a level or two after getting to 100% does the trick. Any two levels should do but I didn't have much luck with some levels so I recommend redoing "Hanger Havoc" and "Hanger 52". Both of these are in the Crystal Skull 1 hub. Also, you should choose these levels from the level selection screen, not from inside story mode. At least, that’s what worked for me.

To get this trophy, you will need to get all of the hubs to 100%, including the Creator hub. To get 100% in the Creator hub, you just need to complete the tutorials and purchase all the building items. In order to purchase everything, follow this process:

    • Go to create (or edit) a Raiders level.
    • Choose the main (default) builder character. Scroll through the various prop pages and purchase everything that is blacked out. Note that some items come in various colors or shades and you will have to purchase them individually. These items are located on the same tile as the original shade.
    • Choose the (shirtless) base tile builder and do the same process for him. He has substantially less items to purchase.
    • Repeat the above steps for each of the five remaining hubs and for the bonus levels.

Here is a summary of what is needed to get 100% in the story mode hubs:

    • Complete all story mode levels as True Adventurer. There are five of these in each hub.
    • Complete all the treasure levels as True Adventurer. If you reenter a story mode level, these are the levels you will encounter. There are five of these in each hub.
    • Complete all the bonus levels as True Adventurer. These are the hidden levels throughout hub. There are five of these in each hub.
    • Complete the super bonus level. There is one of these for each hub. You can build it after you’ve collected all the treasure chest (i.e. artifacts) in that hub.
    • Collect all red, green and blue bricks as well as the associated special awards. There are 30 in each hub, 10 of each color. Once you’ve collected the 10 bricks of a given color, a special award will be dropped from a parachute crate. You need to go to the crate and purchase the award.
    • Unlock and purchase all available cars. The number of cars available varies from hub to hub.
    • Unlock and purchase all available characters. The number of characters available varies from hub to hub.

One more reminder that cheats don't effect trophies. That being the case, getting the "True Adventurer" title for the various levels is joke once you activate all of the score multiplier cheats. As for the collectibles, that's no problem either with the following Collectible Guide. Many thanks again go to KindredPOKER for compiling the guide and allowing me to reference it here.
