Introduction
Welcome to the Lego version of Skylanders/Disney Infinity, except with the ability to have virtually any property that isn't owned by Disney (Marvel, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Pixar etc.). LEGO Dimensions follows a similar format to previous LEGO games except this time around there is no "Free Play", only Story Mode with areas/Minikits that you can't access unless you have certain characters. Overall though LEGO Dimensions is a fun and hysterical experience that you should still play.
Walkthrough
Note: This guide was written entirely using only the base starter pack, no extra characters were used from other packs/sets. It is possible Plat this game without buying anything else. The following steps are written to represent the fastest and easiest possible way to get the Platinum.
Step 1: Build all three characters and the vehicle
Start off and build the three main characters, and then boot up the game. Note that you don't actually have to build the portal if you don't want to, the game will run the same with or without it. Start the story mode and the game will give you the instructions for how to build the Batmobile, once you build it then you are ready for Story Mode.
Step 2: Play through Story Mode collecting Minikits until you have 1,000,000 studs
Start off going by through Story Mode as you normally would picking up all the Minikits that you can, see the collectible guide for all 30 available Minikits, until you have 1,000,000 studs to buy the x2 Red Brick. If you are looking to Platinum this game as fast as possible then I recommend getting the Forever Alone Trophy on the first level to save some time and backtracking later.
Step 3: Obtain the x2 Red Multiplier Brick
Once you have the 1,000,000 studs head to the Lord of the Rings HUB area. Inside head straight and slightly to the left and you should see the red brick icon on your mini map. You will see a robot carrying the red brick that you will have to catch, easily do this by chasing him with any vehicle. Once you catch him you can buy the red brick from the main portal that you go to levels from. Step on the base with any character, the corresponding area to where the character is on the base, and press to bring up the menu.
Step 4: Continue through Story Mode
Once you have obtained and purchased the x2 red brick, make sure you turn it on in the extras menu, you can continue to play Story mode. To eliminate unnecessary backtracking be sure to follow the collectible guide to pick up all available minikits. Also try to pick up as many
Step 5: Unlock the level 2 upgrade for the Batmobile before Level 12, Prime Time.
Before you begin the 12th level, Prime Time, be sure you upgrade to the Batmobile Level 2 so that you can get a Minikit at the end of the level, if not then you will have to replay the whole story mission again. For more information on the cost of upgrading to level 2, please see the Holy Upgrades, Batman Trophy Description. Once you have unlocked upgrade #2 make sure you save that version to the toy tag so it will appear it game as the second version and not the first version. To do that simply highlight the second upgrade and hit to save it to the toy tag.
Step 6: Complete Story Mode
Once you have upgraded the Batmobile to level 2 and saved it to the Toy Tag you can continue and finish Story Mode.
Step 7: Collect all HUB world trophies
Now is the time to enter the Lego Movie, DC Comics and L.O.T.R. HUB worlds and collect all of the HUB related trophies. In this step you will complete the 15 renovations, 5 races and a quest. The races and quest shouldn't take you too long to complete but you may have to grind for some coins depending on which renovations you decide to complete. See the list of renovations below for the cheapest ones.
Step 8: Cleanup/Miscellaneous Trophies
Now is your chance to finish the Locate and Paint by number Puzzles, as well as beating the Aperture Science Enrichment Center in under 25 minutes and anything else you may have left to do in the HUB worlds. At the completion of this step you will have your shiny new Platinum Trophy. WARNING: The latest patch has fixed the speed run exploit so the only way to use it is to uninstall then reinstall the game, then disconnect your console from the internet so the update doesn't reinstall itself but do note that you will have to start a new game from scratch due to post-patch saves not being recognised by the 1.00 version of the game.

Introduction:
The Doctor Who Level Pack (LEGO 71204) was released in the second wave of LEGO Dimensions' pack releases, on November 3, 2015. The level pack consists of The Doctor, TARDIS, and K-9. Each has a small physical LEGO structure that you can be built on top of a blue toy tag. These blue circle toy tags can be placed on the LEGO Dimensions toy pad (included with the Starter Kit) to be used within the main game.
As this is a "level pack", there is a bonus level that The Doctor will unlock once you place him on the toy pad for the first time. Currently there is no way to play this DLC as digital content only; you must have the physical toy tags that come with the the Doctor Who Level Pack (LEGO set number 71204).
Walkthrough:
The first question on my mind after installing a DLC is always: Where is it? There are two ways to access the new Doctor Who bonus level:
-
The very first time you place the Doctor Who toy tag onto the toy pad while within the main hub world (location of the virtual toy pad portal), the game will ask you if you immediately wish to be taken to the new bonus level. The game does warn you that current progress will be lost if you decide to do so. This will not affect any levels or hub worlds that you have already visited as leaving those worlds already prompts a save. Accepting the game's question will immediately take you into the new bonus level.
-
If you miss out on the first opportunity, have Doctor Who run on to the virtual toy pad platform in the main hub world. Doing so will cause a
to appear over his head whereby you can press that to bring up the portal menu. Within this menu is a Level Select sub-menu that you should select. The subsequent menu allows you to scroll through all of the levels that you have unlocked. The Doctor Who bonus level is titled The Dalek Extermination of Earth.
Step 1:
Play the Doctor Who bonus level.
Play through the bonus level smashing up everything you can find so that you can gather enough studs for Rule Breaker and figure out how to advance through the story. Keep an eye out for any Minikits that you can collect. Doing so will net you:
Our destiny is in the stars
People come along and break them
A Minikit! Minikits are cool!
Step 2:
Cleanup
The bonus level can be replayed at any time to find at least one Minikit or to break the Rule Breaker limit for collecting studs. You are not required to finish the level once you pop the Rule Breaker or Minikit trophies.

Currently there is no way to play this DLC as digital content only; you must have the physical toy tags that come with the the Midway Arcade Level Pack (LEGO 71235).
I'll be up front and forward about the content: you are mostly going to be playing old arcade video games. The actual LEGO aspect is minimal (compared to the other DLCs) but the contrast is that this unique DLC allows you to play real arcade games from the 1980s. I will place the complete arcade game list in the spoiler below. Note that this list only contains the arcade games that are available within the bonus level itself; it does not contain the Arcade Stations that are located in all Free Play worlds or other LEGO Dimensions' levels.
- Spy Hunter
- Robotron
- Joust

- Defender II
- Super Sprint

Introduction:
The Adventure Time Level Pack is one of three packs to release in Wave 6 containing DLC trophies, as well as the first batch of Year 2 content. The level pack consists of Finn the Human, a version of Jake the dog as the Jakemobile which you can drive and the Ancient War Elephant which can be flown in the air. Jake has a number of abilities: Grapple and Swing, Target, Vine Cutting, Sword Switch Activation, Cursed Red Brick Attack and Laser.
As with all Lego Dimensions Level packs, you must first own the Starter Pack to access any game content including this Level Pack. Placing Finn on the Game Pad will give you access to the “A Book and a Bad Guy” Level as well as the Adventure Time Adventure World and the new Adventure Time Pillow Land Battle Arena. To achieve the small set of trophies for the pack, you will need to play “A Book and a Bad Guy” to completion, paying close attention to collecting enough studs for Rule Breaker and finding at least one of the ten mini-kits hidden in the level. Having the three figures included in this pack will allow you to accomplish these tasks without worrying about owning any other packs. Alternatively, if you own all other Wave 6 packs, you will be able to obtain all ten mini-kits and unlock hidden areas. You will not be able to rescue the Mini-Fig in Peril and thus 100% this level until later in Year 2. Neither of these achievements are needed to complete the trophies for this DLC.
Step 1: Play “A Book and a Bad Guy”.
Access the Adventure Time level by selecting The Shard in the Level Select Menu and choosing “A Book and a Bad Guy” on the level wheel or access the portal leading to the level within the Adventure Time Adventure World.
If you have them, it would benefit you to equip the Dwarves Bounty Red Brick for a 2X multiplier on your stud collecting and the new Mathematical! Red Brick you can obtain from the Adventure Time Adventure World, which increases your stud bonus while in combat, for an easy path to Rule Breaker. Neither Red Brick should be necessary if you wish to try getting the required amount of studs on your own. There is a mini-kit towards the end of the level that is along the path of the story, so no issues should arise attempting that trophy in this run.
Once you complete the level you should have all three trophies:
The fun will never end!
Another for the Treasure Room!
Mathematical!
Step 2: Cleanup
If you do not obtain the Rule Breaker requirement the first playthrough you will then need to play through the level again. Please check the Trophy Guide for tips if you are having trouble and equip the above mentioned Red Bricks for an easier clean-up.

- Do trophies stack?: Yes, separate lists for PS3/PS4
- Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No
- Additional peripherals required?: The LEGO Dimensions portal, plus the Batman and Wyldstyle characters that came with the base game, as well as the new character that came with the LEGO Ghostbusters 2016 set.
Introduction:
The Ghostbusters 2016 story pack is the 8th DLC trophy pack for LEGO Dimensions. Ghostbusters 2016 is set during the female remake of the Ghostbusters story, following Abby Yates, Erin Gilbert, Jillian Holtzmann, and Patty Tolan as they battle ghosts in New York. You will only receive Abby Yates with the Ghostbusters 2016 pack, but you will be able to switch between the other 3 characters whilst you are playing through the levels. All 4 Ghostbusters have slightly different skillsets, and you will need all 4 of them to beat the story. There are 6 levels for you to work through as you try to restore order to the world!
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Play all Story Levels
There are 6 levels in the Ghostbusters 2016 story pack that you need to play through. Nothing different from any other LEGO game, so just enjoy the game and the story as you work your way through. If you have the x2 red brick (or x4 from the Harry Potter expansion), be sure to turn that on so you can get Rule Breaker for collecting enough studs on one level, although level 4 is very easy for obtaining enough studs without the x2 red brick.
By the end of this step, you will have earned:
Rule-Breaking the Barrier
Avoided The Cataclysm
Step 2: Hub clean-up
There is one trophy for completing any quest in the hub world. There is an easy quest to complete for Erin Gilbert that you will need Abby Yates and Wyldstyle for. This quest can only be done after you have finished the 6 story levels, so leave this one for last. This is very easy to find as Erin is located opposite the portal to this world.
By the end of this step, you will have earned:
Quest Busters

- Glitched trophies: 0

- Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No
Introduction:
The Mission: Impossible Level Pack is one of three packs to release in Wave 6 containing DLC trophies, as well as the first batch of Year 2 content. The level pack consists of Ethan Hunt, a motorbike that doesn’t have any new abilities but is a neat addition and a car that has the three grapple point pull equipped. Ethan has a number of new abilities as well as a few helpful abilities from year 1: Scan Disguise, Magna Gloves, Drone Access, Grapple, Acrobat, Silver Lego Destruction, Stealth, X-ray vision, Technology, and access to a fuse box mini game that gets used a bit too much in this level.
As with all Lego Dimensions Level packs, you must first own the Starter Pack to access any game content including this Level Pack. Placing Ethan Hunt on the Game Pad will give you access to the “Mission: Impossible” Level as well as the IMF Adventure World and the new IMF Battle Arena. To achieve the small set of trophies for the pack, you will need to play “Mission: Impossible” to completion, paying close attention to collecting enough studs for Rule Breaker and finding at least one of the ten mini-kits hidden in the level. Having the three figures included in this pack will allow you to accomplish these tasks without worrying about owning any other packs.
Alternatively, if you own most of the other Wave 6 packs, you will be able to obtain all ten mini-kits and unlock hidden areas. The Mini-Fig in Peril featured in this level is accessible using only characters from the Starter Pack and from this Level Pack and if you are a fan of the best character from the Mission: impossible series, you may want to head to the right when you get inside the IMF building. Neither of these tasks are needed to complete the trophies for this DLC, but they make the experience that much more enjoyable.
Step 1: Play “Mission: Impossible”
Access the Mission: Impossible level by selecting The Shard in the Level Select Menu and choosing the level on the level wheel or access the portal leading to the level within the IMF Adventure World.
If you have them, it would benefit you to equip the Dwarves Bounty Red Brick for a 2X multiplier on your stud collecting. There is also the new Mathematical! Red Brick you can obtain from the Adventure Time Adventure World if you own the Adventure Time Level Pack, which increases your stud bonuses while in combat. This level is not very heavy on the combat for the first three fourths of the level, but can gain you a bit of extra studs on the final few checkpoints, if you choose to use it. Neither Red Brick should be necessary if you wish to try getting the required amount of studs on your own, but I feel it is highly risky not to at least use the X2 multiplier for this level, as the Rule Breaker quota is quite high.
There is a mini-kit towards the end of the level that is along the path of the story, so no issues should arise attempting that trophy in this run, but it can be missed if you are not traveling in the correct path during that moment, so you may want to read the spoiler in the Wouldn’t have it any other way Trophy Guide, especially if you have no other Wave 6 characters to collect any of the earlier mini-kit.
Once you complete the level you should have all three trophies:
Mission: Accomplished
Wouldn’t have it any other way
Good Morning, Mr. Hunt…
Step 2: Cleanup
If you do not obtain the Rule Breaker requirement the first playthrough you will then need to play through the level again. Please check the Trophy Guide for tips if you are having trouble and equip the above mentioned Red Bricks for an easier clean-up.

Fantastic Beasts is set in the Harry Potter universe, and you take control of Newt Scamander as he tries to capture the fantastic beasts that have escaped in New York! You will need help from your Lego Dimensions mainstays Batman, Wyldstyle, and Gandalf, as you work your way through the 6 levels and try to restore order.

Introduction:
The Sonic Level Pack is the 11th DLC trophy pack for LEGO Dimensions. You should have received Sonic as playable character with this expansion pack. With as little spoilers as possible, you are trying to defeat Dr Eggman as you play through the level. In my opinion this is the best level I have played in any Lego game. The attention to detail in this expansion and the quality of level is extremely impressive and anyone who played Sonic as a child will absolutely love this!
Walkthrough:
There is just one level in the Sonic Level Pack that you need to play through but it is quite a lengthy level. Nothing different from any other LEGO game so just enjoy the level and the story as you work your way through. If you have the x2 red brick (or x4 from the Harry Potter expansion), be sure to turn that on so you can get Ring Breaker for collecting enough studs in the level. Ring Breaker is extremely tough to achieve without the x2 multiplier, so I highly advise using it. Also be sure to collect the easy Minikit in the second main section of the level. You should earn all 3 trophies in one playthrough of the level.

The LEGO Batman Movie story pack is the 12th DLC trophy pack for LEGO Dimensions. You should have received Robin and Batgirl as playable characters, as well as having Batman from the main game. You will also now have the Batwing, so you can have a lot of fun flying around the levels! With as little spoilers as possible, you are trying to defeat The Joker as you play through the story.
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Play all Story Levels
There are 6 levels in the LEGO Batman Movie story pack that you need to play through.
Bat-Dollars
Make a change
Step 2: Hub clean-up
There is one trophy for completing any quest in the hub world. There is a very easy quest to complete for The Flash that you can use any character for. This quest can only be done after you have finished the 6 story levels, so leave this one for last.
By the end of this step, you will have earned:

The Goonies Level DLC:
Road Map:
Overview:
- Estimated trophy difficulty: 2/10 (Personal opinion)
-
Offline trophies: 3 (3
)
- Online trophies: 0
- Approximate amount of time to 100%: 1-2hrs (Personal opinion)
- Minimum number of playthroughs: 1
- Number of missable trophies: 0
- Glitched trophies: 0
- Does difficulty affect trophies?: No
- Do trophies stack?: Yes, the PS3 and PS4 versions have separate lists.
- Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No
- Additional peripherals required?: The LEGO Dimensions portal, the base characters which came with the base game, as well as Sloth who came with the Goonies Level set.
Introduction:
The Goonies Level Pack is the 13th DLC trophy pack for LEGO Dimensions. You should have received Sloth as playable character with this expansion pack. The story loosely follows the plot of the film, as you are chasing down the Fratellis and One-Eyed Willy's treasure. Chunk will join you as you start the level and you will need Batman, Wyldstyle and Gandalf for parts of this level. If you have seen the 80s classic you will enjoy the nostalgia of this, and if you haven't this is still an enjoyable Lego expansion pack.
Walkthrough:
There is just one level in the Goonies Level Pack that you need to play through but it is quite a lengthy level. Nothing different from any other LEGO game so just enjoy the level and the story as you work your way through. Rule Breaker is extremely easy to achieve on this level, because there are plenty of purple studs available to collect as you make your way through the story so you won't need the x2 multiplier. Also, be sure to collect the easy Minikit once you reach the pirate ship. You should earn all 3 trophies in one playthrough of the level.
