Last Day of June is a sad tale about two people in love celebrating an important moment in their lives and one coping with the death of another. You’ll play as Carl and experience the pain he is fighting through as he tries to alter the events that caused the death of his wife, June.

Overall, this game is an easy 100% that won’t take very long to complete. However, over half of the trophies are missable and with the lack of a chapter select, you’ll have to replay the game if you miss anything.

Step One - The Lake

At the beginning of the game, you’ll gain control of Carl. While at the lake, you’ll want to pick the petals off of a flower and give a fresh one to June before grabbing the blanket from the car.

During this step, you’ll unlock:

  • Flower in Her Hair Missable!
  • She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not Missable!

Step Two - Playing as June

When you gain control of June, there’s some viewable items you have find before answering the door. Also, you’ll want to try to get Teddy in on the surprise. Once done, place the present into the correct area and continue the story.

During this step, you’ll unlock:

  • Art Afficionado Missable!
  • Never Too Old Missable!
  • A Bad Dream

Step Three - The Kid, The Best Friend, and The Hunter

This is where the bulk of the trophies are. Play through the Kid and Best Friend’s stories while collecting what memories you can. After finishing the Best Friend’s story and before retrieving the Hunter’s portrait outside as Carl, make sure you listen to all of the dioramas.

Once all dioramas are found, grab the Hunter’s portrait and go through his story. You won’t be able to prevent the crash this time around but you don’t want to right now. Focus on collecting the rest of the memories for the Kid/the Best Friend/the Hunter, taking a peek at Carl and June at the lake, shooting the soccer ball into the basketball hoop and knocking over 4 vases as the Kid.

During this step, you’ll unlock:

  • Not Great At Basketball Missable!
  • Explorer Missable!
  • I'm Still Here..
  • It Wasn't Enough?
  • Menace! Missable!
  • The Boy Who Lost His Friend Missable!
  • Time For A New Start Missable!
  • In Sickness and in Health, Missable!
  • Under The Shadow of My Father Missable!

Step Four - The Point of No Return/Old Man

Once you’ve collected all memories for three characters, prevent the crash from happening with the Hunter to move on to the Old Man. While playing as the Old Man, before delivering the gift to Carl and June, open the gate to the Graveyard and collect all of his memories.

During this step, you’ll unlock:

  • Why Won't This Work?!
  • They Say We Die Twice Missable!
  • Those Who Are Gone Missable!

Step Five - Facing Reality

Once you’ve done everything with the Old Man, give the gift to Carl and June. The rest from here on out is story-related. Enjoy the rest of the story and your 100%. During this step, you’ll unlock:

  • Some Things Cannot Be Changed
  • You Could Not Stop This
  • Wait For It
  • The End

  • Collect every memory of the Kid.

    Missable!

For the Kid, there are 5 memories to collect. Not all memories are available from the start so some backtracking will have to be done in order to collect ‘em all. Here’s where to locate them all.

1 - Located in the Kid’s backyard. Go through the hole in the fence on the right side of the house to enter the back. Go straight ahead to the back right corner of the yard. Next to a seesaw, behind a bush.

3 - After opening the gates to Carl and June’s via the Best Friend, the memory is near the pumpkin patch.

4 - After opening the gate to access the Best Friend’s yard via the Best Friend, the memory is to the right of the house, through a hole in the gate. You’ll need the soccer ball to knock down the vase blocking it.

5 - After opening the gate to the Hunter’s yard via the Hunter, enter through the gate and go right up the hill, past the doghouse. Continue going right until you see a gazebo. The memory is under it.

A short way up the hill, before reaching the Ruins, you’ll be in an area with some apple trees and pink/purple fauna on the ground. You will need to knock down the vases with the Kid first before obtaining it.

Secret trophies

  • Prevent the crash caused by the Kid.

    Story-related, cannot be missed

While playing as the Kid, in order to prevent the crash, you must find a way to get the Old Man to fly the kite with you.

  • Prevent the crash caused by the Best Friend.

    Story-related, cannot be missed

While playing as the Best Friend, in order to prevent the crash, you must find a way to get the Rope from the Old Man. This will require you to go back to the Kid’s portrait and change his decision to fly the kite with the Old Man in order to get the rope.

  • Prevent the crash caused by the Hunter.

    Story-related, cannot be missed

This is the point of no return. If you prevent the crash with the Hunter, you will not be able to access any of the portraits besides the Old Man’s. Make sure you’ve gotten all of the memories and miscellaneous trophies for the Kid, Best Friend and Hunter before ending the Hunter’s story.

While playing as the Hunter, in order to prevent the crash, you must find a way to get the medal from the bird. This will require you to go back to the Kid’s portrait, change his decision to play with the dog and knock over some vases to clear a way for the Hunter. Also, you will have to go back to the Best Friend’s portrait and get the rope from the new area the Hunter opens up with the apples and the counterweight gate.

  • Deliver the gift.

    Story-related, cannot be missed

While playing as the Old Man, you must simply walk across the road to deliver the gift to Carl and June. This scene will repeat itself over and over again, blocking off paths each time. This must be done two more times after the initial delivery.

  • Prevent the crash caused by June.

    Story-related, cannot be missed

After deliver the gift, you gain control of Carl again. In order to prevent the crash caused by June, you must have the Hunter shoot confetti from his gun, let the Kid continue to stand in front of the house with his ball and have the Best Friend ride her bike before selecting the Old Man to alter the chain of events.

  • Accepted the truth.

    Story-related, cannot be missed

After destroying all of the portraits and going up the stairs via the wheelchair lift, enter the glowing baby room. After the short cutscene plays, pick up June’s sketchbook on the desk and flip through the pages until you reach the sketch of Carl as a hero. You will be prompted to accept the truth via

  • Open the gate to the Graveyard.

    Missable!

While playing as the Old Man, go up the stairs to the Church overlooking the area with the big tree in the center (where the kite for the Kid was stuck). On the right side of the building is a locked gate. Since you already have the key, simply press on the gate when prompted to unlock it.

  • Peek at Carl and June at the Lake.

    Missable!

While playing as any character, go to the area with the big tree in the center (where the Kid’s kite was stuck). Behind the lake and near the benches, there’s a small nook that overlooks the lake. On the railguard of that nook is a telescope that you can interact with. Approach the telescope and when giving the prompt to view, press to spot Carl and June out on the pier.

If you miss this opportunity, you will be able to enter any portrait again as long as you haven’t reached the point of no return. See Why Won't This Work?! for information about the point of no return.

  • Try to involve Teddy in the surprise.

    Missable!

While playing as June, you will have to answer the door. Answering the door triggers a cutscene where June will have a short conversation with the Old Man and he will give her his gift for Carl. At this point, you will have to find an area to place the gift. You’ll want to go upstairs and walk down the hallway to the bedroom.

Hallway leading to room with Teddy

Inside of the bedroom, you are able to place the gift on the nightstand closest to the door. Placing the gift here will trigger an animation of June trying to place Teddy alongside the gift but eventually deciding it doesn’t feel right. The trophy will unlock after you gain control of June again.

  • Pick every petal of a single flower.

    Missable!

Right at the beginning of the game, as soon as you gain control of Carl, exit the pier. Right when your feet hit land, there will be a rock in front of you with two flowers around it. If needed, there are plenty of flowers near the small playground slightly uphill. Approach one of the flowers and pick it up with as soon as you are given the prompt to do so.

    Missable!

During your first time playing as the Kid via his portrait, in the same yard as his treehouse, go through the hole in the fence on the right side of the yard. As you go through this hole, you will notice a basketball hoop attached to the side of the house. Go around the house and pick up the soccer ball. With soccer ball in hand, go back around the side of the house and approach the hoop. When you are close enough, you will get a prompt to press . Press it to attempt a shot. • Knock over four vases.

    Missable!

While playing as the Kid, there will be green vases that you can interact with while holding the soccer ball. Pressing near a vase when prompted will cause the Kid to throw the soccer ball at it and knock it over. You will have to knock over more than four vases in order to progress the story and collect all the memories so this will come naturally.

If you miss this opportunity, you will be able to enter the Kid’s portrait again as long as you haven’t reached the point of no return. See Why Won't This Work?! for information about the point of no return.
