Introduction:
Knack 2 is an action-platformer game developed by SIE Japan Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It's the sequel of the first Knack. You control Knack and will need to save the world once again. You will visit many different beautiful areas along with some friends and will have to kill a lot of enemies.
Unlike the first one, you don't have to complete the whole game on Very Hard, only one mission. You will need to collect Chests and buy upgrades throughout the game to make the clean-up easier. Once you have all skills and special Knacks, you will need to replay many levels in order to earn 70 medals. There will also be a few time attacks and coliseum attacks to complete but they are very easy. Overall, the game is easier than the first one.
scharn73 has written a guide to help you find all the Chests; find it HERE.
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Complete the game on Hard, collect Treasures Chests and Super Moves + combat related trophies
First of all, start the game on Hard difficulty if you don't want to do another playthrough. It will take you roughly 10-12 hours to finish the game on this difficulty and it's really not that hard. You could start the game on a lowest difficulty as you will need to replay some missions anyway to get medals, and replay all the missions on hard once you have all the skills and Crystal Knacks, it will be a lot easier but also a lot longer.
You also need to collect Treasures Chests until you get all the gadgets and at least one Crystal Knack. After that you don't need to collect Chests anymore but it's highly recommended to continue searching for them until you get at least the Saber Knack (yellow). The Speedy Knack (blue) can also be useful. These special Knacks are not required but will make the challenges and medals a lot easier. Make sure to collect as many blue chests as possible, most of them are in plain sight but you will have to explore a little to find others. You only need 30 for the trophies but they will give you blue orbs to buy all the skill moves.
Make sure to collect the four special moves. The first one is story related, but you will need to find the other ones. You should also take a look at the combat related trophies and complete them now, as there are enough enemies to get them without farming post game.
During this step, you will earn:
Rothari Badge
Gundahar Badge
Xander Badge
Titanic Triumph
Artifact Boss Badge
Heavy Punch Certificate
Hook Shot Certificate
Boomerang Certificate
Ultimate Move Certificate
Marathon Runner
Treasure Hunter
Nose for Treasure
The Doctor's Apprentice
Crystal Relic Collector
All-New Powers
Gadget Boy
The Doctor's Disciple
Onwards and Upwards
Super Move Master
Novice Hero Knack
Hero Knack
It's a Knackout
Step 2: Challenges (Time attacks and Coliseum attacks)
Once you complete the game for the first time, you will unlock 8 challenges in Extra Content. You need to get 5 stars in 5 Time Attacks and 3 Coliseum Attacks. These challenges are pretty easy but will require a bit of practice; they will also be a lot easier if you have Saber or Speedy Knack.
In Time Attacks, make sure to kill every enemies and run into all the green/yellow circles to beat the time and get 5 stars. In Coliseum Attacks, kill as many enemies as possible without being hit to get the maximum points and earn 5 stars.
During this step, you will earn:
Relic Racer
Gladiator
Speed Demon
King of the Coliseum
Step 3: Finish one level on Very Hard + 70 medals
Go in the World Map and replay any mission on Very Hard difficulty. If you have all skills and Saber Knack, it's particularly easy but the easiest level is probably Chapter 6-3.
You can also see how many medals you have in World Map in the main menu. Here you will be able to replay levels to get some medals. There are 143 medals but you only need 70 of them and will have around 20 medals when you finish your first run. The majority of the medals will require you to replay levels on the Very Hard difficulty to beat a certain amount of points, this is actually pretty easy with all the skills and a Saber Knack. Other medals will require you to beat the level within a certain time, beat the level on hard without dying, achieve certain actions, kill certain enemies, find certain chests, etc. Remember that you only need 70 medals, so avoid the ones that you find too hard.
During this step, you will earn:
Sucker for Punishment
The Challenges Begin
Halfway There
You've Got the Knack
Step 4: Clean up
You should already have all the trophies, but if for some reason you still need to farm combat related stuff, chests, super moves or anything, go in World Map in the main menu and replay any mission to get the last trophies.
During this step, you will earn:
Big Hitter
King of Kicking
Tricky Customer
Jumping Knack Flash
Blockbuster
Pro Parrier
Combo King
Sunstone Stunner
Smaller is Better
Goblin Gobbler
Robot Wrecker
Super Move Master
Knack: The Ultimate Invention
