Introduction

King's Quest is an ongoing episodic video game series developed by The Odd Gentlemen, published by Sierra Entertainment and distributed by Activision Blizzard. It is a new reimagining of the King's Quest series. The game takes place as King Graham shares his previous adventures with his granddaughter Gwendolyn. You play as Graham who is on his way to become a knight for King Edward, with his trusty steed Triumph and his cape of magical pockets. It plays as a point and click adventure style game without the pointing and clicking. Some of the puzzles will leave you scratching your head. Why do you need a purple badger to eat bees?

53 trophies ( 10  43  23  )

  • Presented an Eye to enter the Tournament.

Story Mission and cannot be missed.

After going through the Dragon cave with Achaka, you will get an eye from the Dragon in the prologue.

  • Defeated Acorn in the Duel of Strength.

Story Mission and cannot be missed.

After obtaining all 3 of the troll horns, you can get to the floating island. To defeat him, you must use the yarn to make him trip and continue to pull out the yarn to see what he is hiding. After 3 times, you must then use him as a bull to knock off the 4 pillars on the floating island to make it fall.

  • Defeated Whisper in the Duel of Speed.

Story Mission and cannot be missed.

After rescuing your horse Triumph from the tree by placing a work order on it, you will have a very…peculiar race. You need to select the correct taunts for Whisper to slow him down and win the race.

  • Told the Story about becoming a Knight.

Story Mission and cannot be missed.

For the final battle, you have to battle Manny in a duel of whit. To win you are going to want to use your potion of whiteness on one of the raisin juices to colour it white so you know which where the poison is or isn’t. If you don't have the potion of whiteness, he will only mind trick you twice and every time you fail, a guard will "fall" on the board and you get another chance to beat him until you do. If you are having trouble, you can use a the rest of his powder to hypnotize him if you have the whitening powder.

  • Saved a Picnic, Got a Wedzel Patch, Completed the Potion.

    Missable
    Saved a Picnic:
Where you did the Purple Badger Don’t Care trophy you will need to remove the beehive from the table with a fruit picker. After getting the eye and giving it to the knights, go back to town and go to the left of the entrance, and you will find the fruit picker to complete this task. Make sure you do this before facing Acorn in the duel of strength.

    Got a Wedzel patch:
Every time you enter/exit town through the backdoor, remember to close it or you will miss this requirement. You never actually receive any patch though, just remember to keep doing this every time and you will complete this task.

    Completed the Potion:
Step 1: After the eye quest, go to right of where you found the meat and then you will come to a sign, go up. Since Achaka taught you how to shoot, shoot your bow and arrow at the tree with a rope attached to it and cross. You will come upon the cart that you fixed with the bread earlier. Defeat the goblins to save the Merchant of Miracles and he will give you a leaf.

Step 2: After the eye quest, go to the notice board and take the picture of Whisper from it; after you defeat him in the Trial of Speed, get him to sign it and ask him to catch you that frog you were trying to catch for the Froggy Throat trophy. You must get the portrait before doing the duel of speed and have him sign it immediately afterward.

Step 3: Return to the potion shop and give these two ingredients to the old couple to complete this task.

The trophy will pop at the end of Chapter 1 if you have completed all of the tasks.

Secret trophies

  • Fed a steak to a Wedzel Wolf.

    Missable
After taking the piece of meat from a trap, head back into town and through the back door of the town and through the shortcut back to where the cart was; there will be shaking bushes just past the shortcut. Missable
Do this after Misteak because you will lose the meat. Dye the badger before entering the well or you lose the free samples. After leaving town, head right at the pumpkin patch and then down and you will come to a green bush; use the meat on the bush to obtain a badger. Head back into town and go to the potion shop and put the badger into the cauldron turning it a bright purple. Head back to the trap were you got the meat and continue to the right; keep going right until you come to a picnic table. Shake the tree and it will knock a beehive onto the picnic table and use the badger on the beehive.

  • Found a Mysterious Cave Entrance.

    Missable
After talking to the Merchant of Miracles, head behind his cart and along the path to a cave with a river flowing through it you will eventually come to the end of the cave where the river continues through and King Graham will have a narrative saying that they shouldn’t be at this part of the story yet.

Once it goes back to sleep, avoid the bones ahead of you a bed will fall and the dragon will wake up again. Hide in the bed. Once it goes back to sleep, walk up to the dragon; it will wake up and eat you; killing you.

    Missable
In the prologue, you will come across a few beds; just enter the bed and King Graham’s narration will say something about this is no time for a nap and you will get out of the bed. Enter the bed 3 times and he will narrate that he took a quick nap.

  • Was a Snack for a Majestic Unicorn.

    Missable
After coming down the Hill following cart tracks, they will head over a river. Do not cross yet. If you go to the left, you will find a toolbox in a tree and knock it down. All the tools will fall out and float down the river (not sure how metal tools float but ok…) and will be left with an axe. Proceed across the river and you will find a cart after talking to the Merchant of Miracles; use the axe 3 times on his unicorn/goat hybrid creatures at the front of the cart to get eaten.

  • Walked into the Spiniferous Thornweeds.

    Missable
After cutting down a tree with your axe and crossing the river, continue along the path you will come to a small hill where you can see a well in the distance; head towards the well and you will die in the thorns.

  • Danced in the Dark.

    Missable
After using the hedge trimmer to get past the thornwood and going down a well, continue until you see Achaka head down and continue to the right. King graham will narrate that there was nothing to do that way; continue anyway. You will reach a dead end where he will yell echo, practice his archery and then finally do a silly dance.

    Missable
Go south of the town and you will come to a wooden horn by the river; attempt to blow the horn 9 times and King Graham will have an interesting narrative.

    Missable
Continue down from the horn and you will come to the edge of a river with a bunch of frogs. Attempt to catch the frogs six times while King Graham keeps making terrible frog puns; when he makes the pun about having a frog in the throat, you are done.

  • Walked on Water.

    Missable
