Killing Floor 2 is the sequel to the original Killing Floor game that debuted on PC and started life as an Unreal Tournament mod. It is primarily a co-op multiplayer game that consists of multiple waves of progressively harder enemies. Trophies can be earned in part through solo play but it is recommended that you play online multiplayer early on to get a feel for the change in gameplay ready for the multiplayer trophies.

Lobbies hold up to 6 players per team and there are 10 unique Perk types to play as with a vast array of weapons to choose from. Tripwire regularly updates its Killing Floor titles with free maps and content so expect regular drops for a while to come!

Most of the collectibles videos are courtesy of Harry94_. Thanks for all your hard work!

Update: All known exploits have been patched out but due to the developer's penchant for fixing them almost instantly, I won't be including any. Also note that the 1.20 patch introduced a Prestige system for each class, thus you must make sure to get all the trophies before Prestiging. The reason for this, is because you don't want to be back at square 1 and have to struggle against the zombie hordes whilst going for any of the trophies.

General Tips:
  • Play to your Perk strength! Use the correct weapons for the Perk you're trying to level.
  • Whilst playing in multiplayer, try to get a range of Perks across your team to get the best variation.
  • Practice with a set team. Playing with randoms will only get you so far. If you have a set play team you will learn each other's play styles and make your life easier.
  • Use headsets if you can to communicate with your team.
  • Share money with your team, you're only as good as your weakest player.
  • Pick a couple of perks and get good at them. You will also level up quicker for trophies if you stick to just 1 or 2 Perks.
  • Don't pick up ammo if you don't need it. It's a waste.
  • You run quicker with your knife out.
  • Carrying more weapons makes your character slower.
  • Allocate roles to your team. A few people who deal with heavy enemies, a few who deal with the cleanup of small fry and at least 1 designated healer.
  • The last 5 Zeds of a round will always rage (begin running and attacking)
  • Zeds have separate (less) HP for their heads; shooting them will kill the Zed quicker by removing their head.
  • Don't shoot Bloats in the stomach unless you want to be covered in Zed blood and guts.

Step 1: Collectibles + DLC Collectible trophies (DLC not required for the Platinum)

All the levels are standalone maps that can be chosen directly from the menu. In this step, you will get all the collectibles, you can do this alone in Solo Mode. This should give a good feel for the enemy types and the map layouts. To get through this step quickly, you will simply need to play the first wave on each level. Kill all enemies except 1 - leave a Bloat as your final Zed (because small Zeds will rage if they are the last enemy and run after you and Bloats are slow) and follow each of the videos to find and shoot 10 collectibles in each level.

During this step you will earn:
  • Catacombs Cash
  • Biotics Bling
  • Point Paper
  • Outpost Offerings
  • Perilous Prison
  • Manor Money
  • Paris Plunder
  • Darkness Dolls
  • Black Forest Babies
  • Can't Be Contained
  • Infernal Relics
  • You've Got Red on You

Plus these DLC trophies:
  • ALAN!!!!!!
  • Hans Off the Merchandise
  • Davy Crockett
  • The Tragic Kingdom
  • Trepaning For Fun and Profit
  • Winter Will Not be Contained!
  • Hobble Bobble
  • Power Out!
  • Powered by Steam
  • Shocking Discovery!
  • Spooky Scary Skeletons
  • Death's Door
  • Yule Shoot Your Eye Out
  • A Special Deal
  • Money Down the Drain
  • All This Science I Don't Understand
  • Money Mania
  • Oleaginous Old Ones
  • End of the Line
  • Nobel Prize for Destruction
  • You are my Only Hope
  • Old Skull
  • From Here to Eternity
  • Like Tears in Rain
  • The Dark Side of the Moon
  • Forgotten Knowledge

Step 2: Find the Perk that you're good with and stick with it until you get it to Level 25

During this step, you're going to find a perk that suits your play style. Stick with it to master it by using the weapons associated with that weapon whilst you play to level up quicker.

I highly recommend finding yourself a team during this step, with a range of Perks between you, see Hell on Earth for more information. Having a team with lots of different Perks who you can practice with will make the trophies for this game much easier. Co-operation is the name of the game!

Start - You can play on any difficulty at any time, though if you want to get good as well as level up, I highly recommend starting with Normal difficulty, especially if this is your first time playing Killing Floor. When you have reached level 10, you should be ready to step up the difficulty.

Level 10+ - Start playing on Hard difficulty. If you're not feeling confident in your skills or team at this point there is no harm in returning to Normal mode but please note that you will get nearly double the amount of XP by playing in Hard Mode. There is a huge difficulty spike between Normal and Hard. The Zed HP increases and the number of Zeds per wave is higher than on Normal. More Elite Zeds will spawn and you will also get less money at the end of a wave.

By all means, attempt Suicidal and Hell on Earth difficulties before you reach level 25 but be warned, they are not for the faint of heart and as you level up, your stats will improve to make things easier for you.

During this step you will earn:

Level Trophies:
  • Mr Perky 5
  • Mr Perky 10
  • Mr Perky 15
  • Mr Perky 20
  • Mr Perky 25

Multiplayer co-op trophies:
  • Team Player 1
  • Team Player 10
  • Team Player 25
  • Hard

Step 3: Complete the hardest difficulties

You should have all the level and difficulty trophies by the end of this step. You will probably have collected most of the Misc trophies by this point too but don’t fret if not.

If by this point you are feeling comfortable with Hard difficulty, then you're in luck. The rise in difficulty between Hard => Suicidal => Hell on Earth is a more gradual curve than Normal => Hard. The enemies are stronger, take less damage and become faster with each new difficulty. You will also find that you will get less weapon/ammo drops and earn less money from kills. You will need to make sure your team has allocated roles so that you don't waste ammo and money. Sharing money is the best way to get your team out alive. There is also a glitch available to make these trophies a breeze, see Hell on Earth for more information.

During this step you will earn:
  • Suicidal
  • Hell on Earth

Step 4: Misc trophies

You have done the hard part, now you should finish up by clearing the miscellaneous trophies. You will probably have collected most of them during Steps 2 and 3 but most can be acquired now by playing a solo game of 4 wave Survival. You will also need to play at least 2 matches of VS Survival if you haven't yet done so - once on the Zed team and once on the Human team.

During this step you will earn:
  • Dead Silence
  • Benefactor
  • It's Only a Flesh Wound
  • Hack & Slash
  • Hold Out
  • I Got Your Back
  • Quick On The Trigger
  • Die Volter
  • VS Zed Win
  • VS Human Win
  • Platinum

  • Kill a Siren before she screams

As the trophy states, you will need to kill a Siren Zed before she uses her scream attack. This is easier to do if you see her come from a spawn point as you'll have more of a chance to hit her. You will need to get the kill shot for this trophy to pop.

The Siren won't usually scream until she is within range of you or a party member but attacking her with an explosive can trigger her to scream, so you will need to take her out quickly.

    To kill a Siren:
    • Using a ranged attack to repeatedly shoot her in the head before she screams.
    • Approaching her from behind/jumping down near her and unloading a full magazine of AA-12 to take her out quickly.
    • Throw all your grenades at their feet - you may get lucky.
This will be easiest on Normal Mode as they will die quicker.

Note: Whilst grenades and explosives can be used to take her out, the Siren will scream when within range of an explosive which will null the explosive effect and your trophy.
  • Give up 1000 dosh during a multiplayer match

Dosh is the currency in Killing Floor. You will earn it for kills, welding, healing and surviving until the end of a round. This must be done in an online multiplayer lobby in a single match but you don't have to give all the Dosh in one wave.

Simply collect 1000 Dosh, then face another player and throw the Dosh at them by pressing but you can also get the trophy by giving 1000 Dosh to yourself via throwing it on the floor then picking it up again.
  • Win 1 Survival multiplayer match

Complete all waves in a single Survival multiplayer match, plus the boss round. See Team Player 25 for more information.

VS Survival does not count towards this trophy.
  • Kill your first Fleshpound

    Fleshpound Bio:

The Fleshpound is a large enemy with huge mallet grinders for forearms. He has a glowing light in his chest that changes colour based on its state, which goes from neutral (yellow) to red (enraged). You don’t want to be in the way when he’s enraged! You will want to stay at a range away from the Fleshpound. The 'Fleshpound' Zed will start to appear somewhere from wave 5/10 onwards (depends on what difficulty and how many waves you’re playing). You must get the last hit on the Fleshpound to earn this trophy.

Fleshpounds become enraged if you stay in their line of sight for more than a few seconds and if you attack them. Whoever it was following or whoever got the last hit will be the focus of the Fleshpound's rage. The Fleshpound's rage has a cooldown timer so if you manage to get out of the way it will return to neutral mode.

Note: Their metallic forearms deflect attacks so it is best to aim high!

    To kill a Fleshpound:

Though you will likely get this whilst trying to get Mr Perky 25 with a team, you run the risk of someone else getting the final hit each time. The quickest way to do this is to start a Survival match on Normal with 4 rounds, playing solo. A Fleshpound should arrive by round 3. You will need to give the final damage from the Fleshpound to be awarded the kill, this is why it is best to do this in solo.

    • Fleshpounds are especially susceptible to explosive damage so grenades are the best way to take them out if you aren't playing with the demolitions perk.
    • These enemies have 2 weak spots - Their HEAD and their glowing chest plate.
  • Kill your first Scrake

    Scrake Bio:

The Scrake is a heavy enemy that looks like a butcher with a chainsaw for an arm. It is quite slow moving in its neutral state, but it will become enraged under certain conditions. You must get the last hit on the Scrake to earn this trophy.

A Scrake will become enraged once its health drops below a threshold of 50% in Normal difficulty and 90% in Hell on Earth difficulty (and interpolated values between the two). Scrakes will also become enraged if they are set on fire. On harder difficulties, Scrakes will become enraged if you leave them alone too long so be careful when kiting them around the map. Unlike the Fleshpound, once the Scrake becomes enraged, it will dash towards the nearest player and swing at them. Scrakes do not disengage from their rage mode until killed.

Scrake attacks can be parried with a melee weapon!

Scrakes will swing at you if you get too close but not become enraged.
    To kill a Scrake:

You must get the kill shot to achieve this trophy, this is why it is best to do this in solo. This is likely to come naturally but you run the risk of someone else getting the final hit each time. The quickest way to do this is to start a Survival match on Normal with 4 rounds, playing solo. A Scrake should arrive by round 2.
    • The Scrake's weak spots are its Head and Torso. The Scrake has a high chance of blocking any damage done to its torso, which is why headshots are the best course of action.
    • Support, Commando and Gunslinger headshots do the most damage. Having a Commando on the team can be handy as they can tell when the Scrake’s HP is approaching rage mode.

    DO NOT:
    • Use grenades on a Scrake - explosives deal very little damage to this enemy (This advice mainly applies to Hardest difficulties).
    • BURN the Scrake. It will enrage it whilst dealing little damage, and is a general faux pas!
  • Weld a door to 100%

Stand in a doorway and tap to close a door, then hold to equip your welding gun. Whilst facing the door, hold to weld. Once the percentage on the door reached 100%, this will pop.

Welding slows down after a second or two but keep holding and it will go up steadily. Enemies attacking the door will lower the percentage, so it is best to do this away from any remaining Zeds.
  • Heal a teammate with the Syringe

You can see a teammate’s HP bar when you look at them, so watch out for a teammate with lower HP. Select the medical syringe by pressing . When you’re next to the teammate and facing them, press to heal them.
  • Kill the Patriarch before he has a chance to heal

The Patriarch is the huge grotesque Boss Zed with an LMG for an arm that appears in the Boss wave at the end of both modes. The following description is aimed specifically at Survival mode.

The Patriarch is extremely dangerous in higher difficulties due to his powerful attacks and his sprinting behaviour. It is a good idea to stay in an open area with cover dotted around so that you have plenty of room to dodge when he runs at you. His melee attack will make short work of your armour and health. The cover is needed to protect you from his ranged LMG fire, it will also block his tentacle limb that he will extend to grab and pull you to him. His last big attack is a deadly mortar-like explosive attack more commonly used in the higher difficulties.

The Patriarch also has 3 healing syringes in his arsenal. When his HP drops below a certain threshold he will use a cloaking/camouflage technique to go invisible (Commandos will be able to see him) and try to escape to use a syringe. You can chase him down to prevent him from healing.

You must get the final hit on the Patriarch to get the trophy.

To kill the Patriarch before he heals:

    (Easiest) Method 1
    • Set up a 4 wave game of VS Survival online with 1 other person [make sure it is set to invite only]
    • You should be on the human team and your partner on the Zed team.
    • Play until the Boss wave - the other player will become the Patriarch.
    • On the Boss wave, damage the other player but not more than half their health otherwise they will heal automatically.
    • The Patriarch player should then quit the game - which will count as a kill and you will have the final hit giving you the trophy.

    Method 2
    • Play solo in the 4 wave Survival mode on Normal difficulty (the more players the higher the Patriarch’s HP) in Containment Station
    • Defeat the 4 waves of enemies and arm yourself with C4. Barricade yourself in this room in the level. Seal the 3 exits to help contain the Patriarch when he tries to escape
    • The Patriarch has 2 weak points, his bulbous right arm and the grabbing limb that come out of his chest (only when it is extended)
    • When he approaches you, stick him with 3 C4 charges but don’t detonate them
    • Use your primary weapons to deplete his HP. When he goes invisible, continue to chase/attack him.
    • If he gets too far away from you, detonate the C4 to take him out
  • Kill Dr. Hans Volter for the first time

After the final wave of a Survival match, a boss wave will ensue. The boss wave will either be versus the Patriarch or Dr. Hans Volter. The Patriarch is the more common boss and there is no way to guarantee the Boss to be Dr. Hans Volter. You will know Dr Volter by his thick German accent and the poison pack strapped to his back.

You must get the last hit on the Doctor to earn this trophy.

    To Kill Volter:
    • Volter’s 3 weak points are his head and the canisters on his back and chest.
    • Volter is weak against fire from the RPG-7
    • Try to prevent his healing phase (see below)

Volter has several attack methods - at close range he will slash with his syringe fingers and at range he will switch between automatic gunfire and lethal poison gas.

Once Volter’s HP drops below a certain threshold (lower at higher difficulties) he will activate a shield. The shield must be destroyed before any more damage can be done to his body. A set time after the shield is activated, Volter will try to escape using smoke. At this point you should try to stay at a range away from him as he is about to initiate his healing phase; Volter will target a player to charge toward and grab them. Once the player is grabbed they will be trapped and Volter will drain their health to heal himself. The rest of the team have a short window here where they can destroy Volter’s shield which will stop the drain attack. This process will cycle 3 times.

See Quick On The Trigger for more information on fighting a boss.
  • Win 10 Survival multiplayer matches

Complete all waves in 10 Survival multiplayer matches, plus the boss round. See Team Player 25 for more information.

VS Survival does not count towards this trophy.

  • Win a VS Survival Match playing as the Zeds

Select VS Survival Match as your game mode. You must be playing on the Zeds team. The aim is to fully annihilate the Human team by killing all the Human players in one round.
This can be done in 6V6, or an easier way to do this is in a game of 1V1 (set to invite only). If you take out the Human player in the first wave you will instantly win and this trophy will pop.
  • Win a VS Survival Match playing as the Humans

Slightly harder than the VS Zed Win trophy. Select VS Survival Match as your game mode. You must be playing on the Humans team. The aim is to fully annihilate the Zed team by defeating all the waves of Zeds and defeating the Boss.
This can get hectic in 6V6, so again you could try this 1V1 (set to invite only), with the player on the Zed team just idling instead of attacking.

  • Reach level 20 on any perk

This trophy will unlock once you have reached level 20 with any character perk. See Mr Perky 25 for more information.
  • Reach level 25 on any perk

A 'Perk' is essentially a play-style for your character. By levelling up your perk you will unlock Skills that will help you progress and make you stronger. Play to your Perk strengths. There are 3 main ways to earn XP:
    • XP Objectives
    • Difficulty
    • Kills and Assist kills

    XP objectives:
You will earn XP for completing the ‘XP objectives’ for the Perk you’re using. You can view XP objectives under the Perks tab in the main menu or via the pause menu.

One of the objectives is always to deal damage with a weapon that belongs to the Perk you’re using. You will know which weapons these are as they will always be in the FIRST tab that opens in the weapons shop.

If you use a weapon for another Perk other than the one you’re using then the XP will go towards the Perk of the weapon type.

If you get a kill using a knife it will increase XP for the Perk that you originally spawned as. If you change Perks between rounds, it will not change the weapon type.

    Difficulty:
As the difficulty scales so does the XP amount you will get from kills. Whilst small enemies will give you the same XP from Hard+, Medium and Heavy Enemies will give you a considerable XP bonus for killing them in harder difficulties. It is up to you whether the XP is worth the additional challenge but if you’re successful it will save you time to play harder difficulties for XP. Hard is probably the best difficulty to farm XP on as you earn nearly double the XP of Normal Mode, without the trauma of Suicidal.

    Kills and Assist Kills:
Assists reward the same XP as kills! Don’t be afraid to steal the kill as it can spread the XP across the team!

    Prestige:

The 1.20 patch has introduced a Prestige system for every class but make sure you don't Prestige until you have all the trophies, else you will be back to square one and end up struggling through the Zombie hordes.
  • Win 25 Survival multiplayer matches

Complete all waves in 25 Survival multiplayer matches, including the boss round. Once you kill the Patriarch (or the Doctor) it will count as a win. This must be done in Online Multiplayer with at least 1 other person.
VS Survival does not count towards this trophy.
You will probably get this whilst trying to level your Perks to 25 but the easiest way to do this quickly is to play with 4 waves on Normal difficulty.
  • Hard

Win any match on Hard Difficulty

Win a Survival game on Hard difficulty, on any Map. The difficulty trophies don't stack but please refer to Hell on Earth for more details on how to win on harder difficulties.
  • Win any match on Suicidal Difficulty

Win a Survival game on Suicidal difficulty, on any Map. The difficulty trophies don't stack but please refer to Hell on Earth for more details on how to win on harder difficulties.
  • Win any match on Hell on Earth Difficulty

Win a Survival game on Hell on Earth difficulty, on any Map. Difficulty trophies do not stack.

Update: All the known exploits have been patched but if you find a new one then please let me know.

    Legit method

Don't go straight for the harder difficulties. You will need the skills and perk practice that will come with playing on the easier difficulties. Difficulty scales on a number of factors:
    • Increased Zed HP
    • Zeds are approx. 50% stronger than on Hard mode
    • Increased Zed speed
    • More Alpha and Elite Zeds and heavy enemies (Scrakes and Fleshpounds) will spawn at the same time
    • Less money from kills and wave bonuses
    • More Zeds per wave
    • Less ammo and weapon spawns
    • Shorter Trader time

Difficulty also scales based on the number of players. This is where having a decent team with fixed Perks and roles comes in handy. You really need party comms for the type of cooperation required to play on Hell on Earth difficulty.

    Ideal team setup:

    • Gunslinger – Fast moving, powerful headshots. Ideal Scrake and Fleshpound killers.
    • Field Medic – Stay back from the main fight and prioritises healing teammates and if necessary, backing up the Commando as good crowd control for smaller Zeds.
    • Support – Support can quickly seal doors and even rebuild broken doors. Teammates can collect extra ammo from this class.
    • Demolitionist – Carries powerful explosive weapons and can set explosive traps on sealed doors. Great for clearing crowds and perfect for killing Fleshpounds. Teammates can collect extra grenades from this class.
    • Commando - Need to stay close to the action for the team to benefit from their ability to point out the camouflaged Stalkers and the Patriarch. They are ideal for taking out small Zeds and carry a great deal of ammo.
    • Berserker – This class is the ideal final slot, they can tank against the attacks of heavy enemies but it will take a highly skilled player to fill this role. Berserkers can block incoming attacks of heavy Zeds whilst Gunslingers/Sharpshooters take them out. A skilled berserker can even parry these incoming attacks and stun the enemy. The Berserker is also excellent choice as most of their weapons do not require ammo so more Dosh can be passed between the rest of the team. If you do not have someone to fill this role, then Sharpshooter is the next best replacement:
    • Sharpshooter – Inflicts massive headshot damage. Prioritises killing Scrakes, Bloats and Fleshpounds.

If you would like to get into the nitty gritty of how damage works in this game I highly recommend checking out this fantastic write up on the finer principals of strategy and behaviour.

    Fundamentals

    Choose your map
You and your team must learn your chosen map inside out. Camping is not recommended for the hardest difficulties. It is too easy for enemies to pour in and overwhelm a team. Kiting enemies around the map along a set route is the best option. Kiting means to continuously move around the map, trailing the Zeds behind you. Learn your chosen route and make sure you know all your exit routes in case something goes badly!

    Conserve your ammo
You will get very few ammo drops and money will be scarce; every bullet will count!

    • Always aim for headshots as this is the weak spot of most Zeds and will kill them quicker. Once a Zed’s head is removed the body will still move/attack for a short while before it dies. As long as you keep distance from it during this time, you do not need to waste ammo on shooting the headless body.
    • Use your pistol at the start to save on ammo later on.
    • Use alternate fire () to get more precision with automatic weapons

    Don't stop moving
The Berserker and Commando should lead the team around the map. Enemies should begin to follow behind your group Enemies spawn out of the player's line of sight. If you stop moving they will spawn in front of you.

    Tag team
If you encounter a Zed that your Perk cannot deal with e.g. A Medic vs a Scrake. Request to swap places with a Perk to suit that kill.

    Know your role
Every perk has a very specific skill set. Utilise it. Own it. Don’t try to play with the weapons of another perk and waste everyone's time. If you’re killing small stuff, don’t attack the heavy Zeds and vice versa.

    Prioritise Heavys/Alphas kills
When you see one of these enemy types, your team should aim to kill these enemies first. Scrakes and Fleshpounds will rage and break your formation. Alphas are more powerful variants of the average Zeds. They are recognisable by their colour and some have special abilities which can ruin your team.

At the end of a wave (10 Zeds or less)
Get to the Trader before ending a wave, to maximise the time you get at the Trader and to allow you to reposition your team before the next wave starts. If anyone has died during the wave, you should be able to pick up their weapon and drop it at the trader for them for easy access when they spawn. This is also a good time to look for ammo and weapons to save money.

    Don't be a 'HERO'
If it is nearing the end of the wave and you're feeling cocky and decide to break formation. Calm the hell down! It only takes 1 person to rage a Scrake and get the whole team killed.

    Between waves
Heal your team. Clad yourself in armour. Make sure to share all the Dosh so that everyone can upgrade gear as early as possible. Reposition your team on your kiting route before the wave starts.

If it looks like you're going to die
If you die, then you will drop the weapon you're currently holding so make sure it's your most expensive one. You will have an opportunity to pick it up again before the next wave starts (it will disappear after that). Your teammates can also pick it up for you.
