    How to unlock [5] 箱コレクター

    [[5]Box Collector]
[Acquired 55,555 or more of leverage chips [5] (cumulative)]

This set of 5 trophies is very boring and takes quite some time. You can grind the numbered boxes/chips in Arcade or X-mode and they are cumulative across both modes.

In order to get the numbered boxes you need in X-mode, you will need to destroy the reddish cross-haired enemies while targeting them with the respective number of lock-ons: in other words, if you need [2] boxes, you want to kill the reddish enemy with the lock-shot fire while 2 lock-ons are targeting it. If you succeed the enemy will drop some [2] boxes and start a box chain which lasts for a few seconds (you can see the timer in the top-left part of the screen). During the box chain, every enemy you kill with the lock-shot fire will keep dropping [2] boxes until the timer ends. In order to maintain the chain or start a new one after the timer has expired, kill another reddish enemy. Same method applies to all of the numbered boxes, made exception for [5] boxes: to get these ones, you need to lock-shot-fire a reddish enemy with 4 lock-ons and kill it while staying close to it (killing it from far away with 4 lock-ons will grant you [4] boxes instead).

You may realize that the [1] and [3] boxes are the most troublesome (although the [1] boxes needed are so few that they shouldn't be a big problem), since your ship will have 0, 2 or 4 lock-ons depending on how many power-ups you have obtained and directing only 1 or 3 lock-ons on the same enemy involves some luck and a correct position (usually your ship will direct all lock-ons on the same enemy). Whenever you see a [3] chain starting, quickly destroy everything you see to get as many [3] boxes as you can and try your best to maintain it. [1] boxes should come naturally while you grind the others, however, if they are the last ones you are missing, you can get them more easily in Arcade mode (check the next paragraph). An excellent spot to grind [5] boxes is stage 1-5 after the reverse-scrolling section: at some point, some tanks will start appearing from the bottom of the screen and you can easily get close with all 4 lock-ons and start a [5] chain, which is very easy to maintain since more tanks will keep popping from the bottom and the top-left part of the screen. Also, there are so many bullets and small enemies that you will get a great number of boxes every time you destroy a reddish tank (keep in mind that the on-screen bullets get canceled and transformed into boxes if you destroy a reddish enemy). Technically, this is the best spot for [3] boxes as well but you'll have to get lucky with the lock-ons. I believe X-mode is the better mode to grind all of the boxes. I recommend stage-selecting 1-5 and keep grinding them all here. Max out the number of lives and bombs before starting the stage and choose the amount of power-ups you want to start with depending on the boxes you are missing. In X-mode you also have the advantage of grinding the suicide bullets, even if you need to stay focused and avoid dying too often.

In order to get the numbered boxes you need in Arcade mode, make sure you set "Chip Drop Control" to 3 to get as many as possible. Arcade mode will give you boxes if you destroy enemies with the rapid fire. All enemies will net you boxes in this mode but they are fewer compared to X-mode. If you kill an enemy with rapid fire while your ship is far away from it, you'll get [1] boxes, whereas killing it while very close will net you [5] boxes. The [2], [3] and [4] boxes require you to progressively reduce the distance between you and the enemy, which means you won't be too far away nor too close. Also, killing an enemy with rapid fire will start a timed box chain during which killing any enemies with the lock-shot fire will net you the numbered boxes you got from the enemy you killed with the rapid fire regardless of the distance. In order to maintain a chain or start a new one, kill an enemy with the rapid fire. The EX option "Chip Range Control" should make getting high-numbered boxes easier because it probably allows you the enlarge the gap between you and the enemy, however I'm not sure how it works precisely. Also, "No Bullet" can make the grinding easier. Even if Arcade mode may sound more advantageous compared to X-mode, it nets fewer boxes and no suicide bullets and I don't recommend it. If you still decide to farm the boxes in Arcade, stage-select 1-5, since it has the largest amount of enemies. Use Arcade only if you are missing [1] boxes (which are easier to get here) and [3] boxes (if you are very unlucky with the lock-ons in X-mode, you can try to play around with "Chip Range Control" to find a suitable distance to get [3] boxes consistently).
