Introduction:

This game makes me a bit sad - it's totally my kind of thing: JDM cars, Kanjozoku car culture, car tuning, midnight club etc. What's even more amazing is that such a small game by a no-name developer is fully licensed - real-life car models, engines types & even authentic japanese car magazines (like "Option") featured on billboards around town. Unfortunatley the game is ruined by a few things, main of them being a terrible driving model. You also don't get to race any other cars, just evade the traffic (really bad collisions) & run from the brain-dead cops. It's like an amazing-looking burger with a turd spread in between the buns :) on the upside - there's a very easy & fast platinum to be had, also you can quickly get used to the bad steering.

Walkthrough:

Step1:
Tuning your car and using the glitch (or is it a feature?) to quickly become a millionaire.

Most of the games trophies are cash and tuning related, you will unlock them all within like 10 minutes with the game, before the actual driving even starts. After this step you will unlock:

Step2: Taking part in at least one "race", and the grind

You need to finish one event you'll find along the highway. Then rack up 200km driving around (preferably around the highway as well, as it is most time-effective). After this step you will unlock:

17 trophies ( 2  )

  • Congratulations you have collected all the trophies

As always - your final trophy
  • Buy your first car at a car dealership

You will start the game with the EF Civic in your garage and 100,000 Yen in your wallet. Buy the same EF Civic you already own here for 35 000 Yen, it will make getting 1 million Yen way faster
  • Paint your car in a special color

There's a paint shop in the lower left of the main game menu, Use left stick to navigate to it, choose and apply a new body color for the trophy to pop
  • Change the wheels on your car

There's a tuning shop in the lower left of the main game menu. Use left stick to navigate to it, under "Wheels" section choose and buy a new set of wheels for the trophy to pop
  • Transform your car into an intdividual style

There's a tuning shop in the lower left of the main game menu. Use left stick to navigate to it, under "Body" section pick any body mods you like and buy them for the trophy to pop
  • Improve the engine of your car by 170hp

There's a tuning shop in the lower left of the main game menu. Use left stick to navigate to it, going to "Engine" section. Keep buying the best parts in every category here (5/5) untill it pops. I suggest using the EF Civic you bought at the beginning, as it will contribute towards Hooray you're a millionaire trophy_gold.png .
  • Improve the power of your car by 250hp

There's a tuning shop in the lower left of the main game menu. Use left stick to navigate to it, going to "Engine" section. Keep buying the best parts in every category here (5/5) untill it pops. I suggest using the EF Civic you bought at the beginning, as it will contribute towards Hooray you're a millionaire trophy_gold.png .
  • Experience your first feelings in the race

It's called a "Race" but in fact you won't be racing anyone but the clock. The only racing you will do in this game is the piss-easy time trial(s). In the main menu press square.png to go to the streets. You can see the events on a mini-map, they are a vertical ray of lights shooting from a pavement. Just stop on top of them (you will see the minimal speed and time required to win) Press cross.png to start the event. Watch out not to crash, as this will cancel the event and you'll have to find the other one. This will be the only time you'll need to do these events towards the platinum
  • Your savings have increased the amount of 250k

  • Earning 500k is not a problem for you

  • Money is no longer a problem for you

Can't tell if it's a bug, or a feature, but you can get this trophy quickly with your starting money and the cheapest car you can buy (EF Civic). Thing is - whatever car you buy, the installed mods stay on it forever, even after it is sold and re-bought.

    Here's how it works:
    • You buy EF Civic for 35 000 Yen
    • Mod it to the max you can afford (you can buy everything except max Turbo at the beginning)
    • Sell it afterwards for a way higher price because of the mods applied
    • Re-buy the same car for the price of the stock one, but it already has all the previous mods installed!
    • Sell it again for the extra money (buy the turbo you couldn't afford at first here)
    • Repeat previous two steps untill you have 1 million available, quick and easy
  • Cover a distance of 20 km

Check The Road of Eternity trophy_gold.png for more details
  • And here are the first 50 km on the road

Check The Road of Eternity trophy_gold.png for more details
  • You are on the road already 100km everything is ahead

Check The Road of Eternity trophy_gold.png for more details
  • To overcome 200km is no joke for you anymore

This will be your final trophy on your way to platinum. It's a grind, but luckily not a long one. After about 1 and 1/2 hours you should have all the mileage trophies unlocked. They will pop as you drive, so no need to exit to the main menu etc. Just run some kind of podcast in the background on your PC/smartphone and try getting used to a bad steering. Running from the cops and racking up combos of near misses will give it some variety at least

Few thing that will make the grind as effective as possible:
    • Pick any car big enough to fit the biggest engines the game has to offer (I used the Lexus)
    • Swap a stock engine for a powerful LS from GM and tune it to the max (5/5 every category)
    • I suggest avoiding the events, no sense in stopping to trigger them, when you can put the pedal to the metal and just go around the highway as fast as possible, running from the police and avoiding traffic
  • Increase engine power to the maximum

This will come naturally when going towards Hooray you're a millionaire trophy_gold.png (when tuning your cash-grind Civic), or when tuning one of the cars used for the mileage trophies grind
  • Sell 1 of your car

This will come naturally when going towards Hooray you're a millionaire trophy_gold.png, as you will sell a single car many times using the workaround mentioned above
