Roadmap
Introduction
This roadmap will assume two playthroughs: Easy difficulty in co-op and Extreme difficulty playing solo. Some might choose to do a single Extreme playthrough in co-op. Others may choose one Easy playthrough playing solo and a second Extreme playthough in co-op. No one single method is correct, so get a feel for the game and decide which is best for you. Either way, just make sure to have fun and exercise a little patience in those sections where you might feel like smashing your poor controller!
Co-Op Easy Playthrough
Finish the game on Easy with your online or split-screen co-op partner. Make use of exploding canisters whenever possible in order to get Can It!. When and if you find yourself downed by the enemy, try crawling around until you kill five baddies before standing up to achieve Mexican Showoff. In addition to the unmissable story-based trophies, chances are you will unlock some others without even trying. If you do not, there is no reason to worry since they can be taken care of in the next step.
Easy Playthrough Clean-Up
If you are missing any single player trophies such as Catch!, Chinese Waltz, Dance Off!, Trigger Happy or Steady Hand, use chapter select to load “Blood, Sweat and Tears”. For Sichuan Specialist or Double Happiness, choose “Laying Low”. If you require Hand of God, start up “Airstrike”. Follow each of the trophy suggestions in the guide to see how they can easily be achieved at the beginning of the appropriate chapter.
Extreme Solo Playthrough
After following the previous step, Dead Men Rising will be the only remaining single player trophy. Refer to the trophy suggestion in the guide for some general tips on how to best this very daunting difficulty level with your AI partner. Remember that strategic cover is the key and make the best use of the weapons available to you at the time.
Arcade Mode
Some trophy descriptions state they can be achieved either in Arcade Mode or ranked matches. With the exception of Unfinished Business, these are more easily done in Arcade Mode since your AI team-mates will not attempt to become traitors until the much later rounds. Some such as Welcome and Escape...From Anywhere are easily achieved over time while others like Lightning Looter take a little persistence and dedication.
Multiplayer
When first starting multiplayer, for the sake of efficiency, choose your path for No I in TEAM and There’s an I in TRAITOR and stick to either karma choice until they are both unlocked. Unfinished Business and Harry Houdini will most likely be obtained naturally while playing either Fragile Alliance or Undercover Cop when one of your beloved team-mates tries to betray you. Certain multiplayer trophies can only be unlocked in specific game modes.
- Putting on the Ritz can only be unlocked in Fragile Alliance.
With a fortuitous bounce, Rat Killer and Law Enforcer are earned in Undercover Cop.
- Addict and Alpha Male are achieved in Cops & Robbers. Make sure to read the description for Alpha Male since it may seem glitched to some, but it just has a very unfair requirement.
NOTE: Boosting is nearly impossible since you are not allowed to invite friends into ranked matches. However, read this method by Thunder_At_Home here which outlines the best possible way to circumvent this. Personally, I tried this with a couple of people from the site and found that it is not that effective. Out of an eight-person boosting group, I would only be consistently paired up with two or three others in the same lobby. Not only would getting everyone into the same room take forever, but you would have to do it all over again after the session ends since the network does not let you continue into a new game with the same group. If you are patient and do not mind dedicating a ton of time to matchmaking, then go for it. However, in my opinion, your time is better spent trying to get the multiplayer trophies legit.
Back to Arcade Mode
Almost done! Ever since Arcade Mode, you have been amassing Rank Points with the ultimate goal of reaching Rank 1. After having followed the previous steps in the roadmap, you most likely will be at Rank 2 by the time you finish the multiplayer trophies. For the remaining couple of hundred points, just grind through Arcade Mode by collecting as much loot in each session and Mastermind will eventually be yours!

Introduction:
The Doggy Bag DLC adds three new maps to the multiplayer as well as nine additional trophies for you to get. You will need to play on all three of the new maps but most of your time will be spent on the Dry Dock stage. The arcade mode lets you practice the new maps before you jump into an online match if you want to and some of the trophies can be earned here as well, while some demand ranked play. There are a few things that you should take note of.
Server and version issues:
The digital and retail versions of the game, cannot play together. This is a major pain as it limits the people that you can match up with online. You can pick up a retail copy fairly cheaply but the digital version is much more expensive, though it does occasionally go on sale. Due to these factors, you may find that you struggle to find matches because of the fractured player base and the needing a bunch of people to start a match. There must be 4 players minimum to start a deadly alliance match and 6 players minimum for cops & robbers.
You will need to put together a boosting group to get a match going, because it is nearly impossible to find any randoms still playing these days so make use of the boosting thread: LINK and any other means you have to contact recent players who may be willing to help.
The good side of the servers being quiet is that once you get started its quite unlikely you will be hassled by anyone joining your lobby and messing things up for you. If any of your team has a second PS3 this is a viable option if you opted for a digital copy. Idle players won't get booted, thus you can disconnect as soon as you leave the lobby and it won't cancel the match. The extra player won't show up in match stats but will still be on the overall totals page. Despite this, their values are discarded meaning you can still get Underdog

I would like to give a massive thanks to ImStylinOnYaBro, HorHay_- and Tochukwu1 for all their help sticking around and trying different maps and methods with me.
