Introduction:
Welcome to Just Cause 3, Avalanche Studios’ return to the series revolving around utter destruction and mayhem at the hands of Rico Rodriguez. In Just Cause 3 you return to Rico’s home country of Medici, and do what he does best, blow up everything he can to push back the currently installed dictatorship governing the country.
If you have played Just Cause 2 you will largely know what to expect from 3, though Avalanche has made a large number of improvements that make the game much less of a grind to platinum. There are only 227 collectibles now instead of a couple thousand, and everything gets marked on the map for you once you liberate provinces. You also can re-opress liberated places once you finish the game so you can’t miss any trophies while playing the game. This allows you to basically go at the game however you wish.
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Work toward 100%ing the game
This is really the one big step to the game. There is no right or wrong order to go about playing Just Cause 3, and other than the order the story missions appear in you aren’t obligated to do anything in any order. If you wanted you could go liberate the entire map right from the start of the game.
Because of how open ended the game allows you to approach it, I am just going to recommend things that you should do to alleviate potential minor issues you could cause yourself.
Work on Challenges as you unlock them - Challenges are what allow you to unlock upgrades and abilities for your gear, so I would very much recommend against ignoring them and leaving them until the end of the game. You don’t need to try to get 5 gears on every one first time you try it (some of them are impossible to do that with anyway) but getting enough to contribute to your gear unlocks helps you out with general gameplay.
Work on Collectibles as you liberate provinces - Along with Challenges, you should also work on these as you come across them, mostly to alleviate tedium that you could cause yourself at the end of the game. Collectibles all become marked on your map once you liberate a whole province, so it would be good to go grab them as you liberate each province so you aren’t doing them all at once. You also unlock some useful stuff from a couple of the collectible sets, so it’s helpful to do them sooner rather than later.
Bring vehicles to Mario’s Garage as you come across them - Again, this alleviates the grind (and possible frustration) of having to wander around looking for vehicles if you leave them to do at once. There is also one that you should immediately grab if you see it due to it’s rare spawn rate, so watch out for it (see Caught ‘Em All for more info).
Step 2: Clean Up any Remaining Trophies
After you earn the 100% your only possible remaining trophies will be ones related to miscellaneous tasks that can be done at any time. Finish up any of these for the remaining trophies to earn your plat.

Introduction:
Welcome to Sky Fortress, the first DLC Expansion for Just Cause 3. This expansion brings with it some new story missions and challenges, along with a couple new drop items and the most interesting item of all, a rocket powered Wingsuit modification. The DLC is short overall with the story itself only taking an hour or so to complete, with challenges to do afterword to unlock upgrades for the new wingsuit.
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Play through the story
Your first step for the DLC will just be to play through the story. This consists of three missions and two sets of liberation targets that are required to progress after the first and second mission. Along your way you might very well earn the misc trophies without trying.
Trophies earned in this step:
My Name is Eden
Break a Leg!
Step 2: Complete challenges with 5 gears
Your next step will be to complete the 4 wingsuit challenges that are included with this DLC. They aren't overly difficult or long compared to the ones from the main game, so if you earned the platinum previously these shouldn't give you much trouble. If you didn't earn Stock-Keeping previously somehow you will almost certainly earn it here as one of the challenges involves killing drones.
Trophies earned in this step:
Stock-Keeping
Quite the Connoisseur
A True Master
Step 3: Cleanup
You last step will be to clean up any of the couple misc trophies you might not have earned previously while playing the story or challenges.
Trophies earned in this step:
Like a Fish... in the Air!
Look at the Sly Fox

Mech Land Assault DLC:

- Estimated trophy difficulty: 3/10
-
Offline trophies: 6 (4

, 1
)
- Online trophies: 0
- Approximate amount of time to platinum: 2-3 hours
- Minimum number of playthroughs: 1
- Number of missable trophies: 0
- Glitched trophies: 0
- Does difficulty affect trophies?: N/A
- Do trophies stack?: N/A
- Do cheat codes disable trophies?: N/A
Introduction:
Mech Land Assault is the second DLC to be released for Just Cause 3 as part of the ‘Air, Land and Sea’ Expansion. This DLC will see Rico Rodriguez travel to the island of Insulate Lacrina, which is home to an abandoned research facility operated by the Black hand. The island is home to a secret new technology, the Mech, in which the DLC is largely centered around.
The trophies are very straightforward for this DLC, as they were for the Sky Fortress expansion. There are only two story missions and two new challenges which center on the use of the Mech. You will need to completely liberate all provinces of the new island, which will result in you unlocking most trophies as well. The bases/ camps/ outposts are quite small compared to the main game so you shouldn’t have any troubles. The Mech is also very powerful, and allows you to dispose of all enemies and their vehicles with relative ease.
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Complete the first DLC mission, Stowaway
For the first step of this DLC you will complete the first of two story missions, Stowaway. This mission is located in the Maestrale Province of the Insula Striate region of the main game. Completing this mission will give you access to the new DLC area of the game, and will also have liberated your first Detention Camp which will work towards the Free Birds trophy. The mission is very straightforward, and will introduce you to the new vehicle in the game, the Mech, which is what the DLC revolves around.
At the end of this step you will have unlocked the following trophies:
One Mech of a Ride
Step 2: Liberate all areas of Insula Striate, and complete final DLC mission
Once you have completed the first mission of the game, you will then need to liberate the entire island of Insula Striate in order to unlock the second and final mission of the DLC. Each region has a number of different bases and detention camps which you will need to liberate. Whilst doing this step, focus on obtaining 30 enemy vehicle kills with the Mech for the This Is Not A Fireball. Mechs can be found at enemy bases either manned or unmanned, if they are manned you will need to disable them with the power core weapon. During this step you will also liberate all Detention Camps which will ultimately unlock the Free Birds trophy.
At the end of this step you will have unlocked the following trophies:
In the Heart of Darkness
Free Birds
This Is Not A Fireball
Step 3: Obtain 5 gears in all Challenges
Now that you have completed the story missions of the DLC, you will want to complete the two new challenges available. These challenges require you to fight off a number of waves of enemies with the Mech. They are relatively straightforward to obtain five gears on once you understand how the scoring works.
At the end of this step you will have unlocked the following trophies:
Certified eDEN Operator
eDEN Employee of the Year

Bavarium Sea Heist DLC
Overview:

, 1
)
- Online trophies: 0
- Approximate amount of time to platinum: 2-4 hours
- Minimum number of playthroughs: 1
- Number of missable trophies: 0
- Glitched trophies: 0
- Does difficulty affect trophies?: n/a
- Do trophies stack?: n/a
- Do cheat codes disable trophies?: n/a
Introduction:
The Bavarium Sea Heist is the third and final DLC for Just Cause 3 as part of the Land, Air and Sea Package. The story of the DLC is very short, and requires you to use a Rocket Boat to take over and destroy a new offshore eDEN Research Station that is utilising lightning to create new weapons. The DLC is similar to the previous two in regards to longevity, originality and replayability. Once you finish the story, there is little else to do as the DLC only adds one new challenge.
In regards to the trophies, they are very straightforward. They relate to completing all story missions and performing kills with the two new weapons in the game: the Rocket Boat and the eDEN Spark. No trophies are missable, and you’ll be glad to know that once you have 100% you can finally uninstall the game and move on to bigger and better things.
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Complete the story missions whilst getting the Rocket Boat kill related trophies
Once you have the DLC installed, simply load the game and start the first story mission. This mission is called The Setup and is located in the Cauda Province in Insula Dracon. There are only two main story missions in this DLC so it won’t take you very long to complete. You will also likely unlock some of the other non-story related trophies whilst you complete this step, especially when liberating the five Satellite Stations that are required to unlock the final story mission.
At the end of this step you will have unlocked the following trophies
One Last Score
Loochador Master
The Flying Medician
I Should Buy A Boat
Step 2: eDEN Spark strike kills and trophy clean up
Now that you have completed all story missions, you will want to clean up the remaining trophies. This includes defeating an enemy helicopter with a single eDEN Spark strike and killing 10 enemies with a single eDEN Spark strike. You may also need to unlock the other kill related trophies that require the use of the Rocket Boat/Loochador.
At the end of this step you will have unlocked the following trophies
Lightning Bolt!
Staying Power
