Introduction:

When May and Cody fall out of love and begin to resent each other, their daughter Rose jumps in to try and rescue not only their marriage, but their family. After putting a spell on the two ex-love birds, they are turned into dolls that Rose made to look exactly like them. The only way they'll return to their previous form is by working together through collaboration to fix their relationship. With the help of a wildly inappropriate Book of Love that enjoys gyrating more than making bad puns, they'll travel through their own home and discover long lost secrets, treasures, and of course, love.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Play through the game

This game is quite adventurous and you should really use your first playthrough to enjoy the heck out of it. There is plenty to do and plenty to explore within the game and you'll get a lot of enjoyment from reveling it all in. If you wish to do everything in one playthrough, be sure to check out Step 2 for the order in which the trophies will unlock so you know what to look out for. Once you've completed the game, you'll earn the following trophy:

It Took Two trophy_gold.png

Step 2: Clean-up

Now that you've had your fun causing mischief and mayhem, it's time to clean up the rest of the trophies using Chapter Select. The Minigames are all visible on the Chapter Select menu, but the individual miscellaneous trophies are not, so please see all of those for more information on what you need to do. The one you want to keep an eye out for is Break the Bank trophy_gold.png as this is the one trophy where you'll actually need to restart a checkpoint for both players to get "in one go". For the Minigames, please make a note that in the final chapter, there are 4 Minigames in "Settings the Stage" and 1 in "Symphony", but you won't be able to get the 4th one in the former without completing Symphony first. Outside of that one, they'll all be in a pretty straight order. Once you discovered all of the minigames and completed all of the miscellaneous objectives, you will earn the following trophies (in the order they will unlock if you're getting them as you go):

Fried Friendship trophy_bronze.png
Struck A Pose trophy_bronze.png

21 trophies ( 10  10  2  )

  • You are unstoppable, nothing stands in your way!

You will earn this trophy once you have earned all of the other trophies in the game. We'd write something more witty here, but it'd be cause for story spoilers and we're still having nightmares that Dr. Hakim will visit us in our sleep. Enjoy your new shiny platinum!
  • You did it! CO-LLA-BO-RATION!

    Story Related

This is the only actual story-related trophy in the game and will unlock naturally once you've completed the game. This trophy will unlock for both active players.
  • All minigames found!

There are a total of 25 minigames/challenges that you need to find throughout the game. You don't need to win them for this trophy. You just need to find them. The Chapter Select menu will show you how many you have collected in each Chapter you have either started or completed (if the tambourine is translucent, you haven't found it, but if it's opaque, you have). There is an audible cue that's supposed to happen when you're nearby these, but to be quite honest, we didn't hear it a single time while playing through the game. If you want to find them yourself, just be sure to look around every corner and on top of every ledge for them. If you need help with any of their locations, they are as follows:

    The Shed: The Depths (2)

    Whack-a-Cody:
This one is incredibly hard to miss. Dr. Hakim will give you a short tutorial on the sound to listen for as you're playing which will indicate a challenge/minigame is nearby. As soon as he's done, Cody and May will be at the 1st minigame.

    Flip the Switch:

Shortly after the first minigame, May will need to hit a button for a bouncepad so Cody can climb up and over to the next section. When you go through the gear doorway, there will be another yellow bouncepad on the left. Ignore this and climb up the right side instead. Keep going right and in the back will be the minigame/challenge.

    The Tree: Captured (1)

    Tug of War:

As you progress through this section, you'll eventually reach a pathway you need to open up that has a soccer/football just to the right of it. Ignore this for now and instead, go all the way left of the blocked pathway to find the minigame/challenge.

    The Tree: Deeply Rooted (1)

    Plunger Dunger

At the very start of the section, you'll be in front of a large tree with some rails around it. This is where the minigame/challenge is. It's incredibly hard if not impossible to miss.

    Rose's Room: Pillow Fort (1)

    Tank Brothers

At the start of the level, follow the yellow/red wire, which will turn into a yellow/black wire, and climb up the pillows to find the minigame/challenge.

    Rose's Room: Spaced Out (2)

Laser Tennis (The Minigame menu labels this one as appearing before Spacewalk, but it actually appears after):

In the same air shaft as the previous minigame/challenge. After you complete the 1st section of portals, you'll need to float up the air shaft again. Just as before, stop before you reach the platform with the portals and there will be another opening in the wall that leads to this minigame/challenge.

Spacewalk (The Minigame menu labels this one as appearing after Laser Tennis, but it actually appears before):

When you first activate the long air shaft that will take you up to the different layers of portals, stop before you get to the 1st platform with portals and there will be an opening in the wall that leads to this minigame/challenge.

    Rose's Room: Hopscotch (3)

    Rodeo

When you first start the level, you'll come to a green-carpeted area with a little toy car. Just past this is two horses under a large hand-drawn sign saying "Rose's Rodeo". This is where the minigame/challenge is.

    Feed the Reptile

As you progress through the puzzles, you'll make your way across some rails that you need to clear paths for by stepping on animal buttons. Just after this section, you'll come to a very large abacus that you need to climb up. Before doing so, head around the abacus on the right, and on the other side will be the minigame/challenge.

    Batting Team

After you make your away across the rails where you need to press the animal buttons to clear a path, you'll need to then turn some valves to turn off a green and yellow ball pit waterfall. In the next area you come to after you turn off the waterfall, there will be a green frog game on the left, the piggy bank required for Break the Bank trophy_gold.png just in front of you, and this minigame/challenge off to the right.

    Rose's Room: Once Upon a Time (1)

    Birdstar

In the Magic Castle area is a giant dartboard hanging up on a wall. To the left of this, in an area by some large balloons, will be the minigame/challenge.

Cuckcoo Clock: Gates of Time (2)

    Horse Derby

When you reach the open area in the little town, this minigame/challenge will be to the right of the gate you enter from.

    Bomb Run

Just to the left of the Helltower in the open area with the small town. It's up on a rooftop.

Snow Globe: Winter Village (3) - These will unlock when you complete the story-related tower objectives. With each tower defrosted, one minigame/challenge will defrost/become available as well.

    Icicle Throwing

This one will defrost/open up when you defrosted the tower that requires May to rotate the crane for Cody so he can climb up to the top of the tower and ring the bell. It'll be to the left of the tower.

    Shuffleboard

This one will defrost/open up when you defrosted the tower that requires you to spin the wheel and use magnets to shoot yourself up to the top. It's located to the left of the tower, just left of the large ferris wheel.

    Snow Warfare

This one will defrost/open up when you've defrosted the tower that requires Cody to shoot magnets down so May can climb up to the top of the tower. It's located to the left of the tower, inside the Snowball Arena.

Snow Globe: Beneath the Ice (1)

    Ice Race

On top of the ice, you'll see a large black and white race banner with some folks below it. If you need a reference when underwater, all of the pipes you need to fix lead to an octopus-like mechanical head. Hop out of the water just above this and you should be able to see the banner.

    Garden: Weed Whacking (2)

    Garden Swings

At the very start of the section, you'll see some blocks in front of you that you can jump over. Do so and the minigame/challenge will be on the other side.

    Larva Basket

Not too long after the previous minigame/challenge, May will need to fill a blue flower up to raise some leaves so you can cross over a gap. In the next area will be a plethora of mushrooms you can bounce on. Go to the far back of this area and there will be some rocks you can climb up to the left. At the top will be the minigame/challenge.

    Garden: Frog Pond (1)

    Snail Race

This one will be a pretty good chunk of a way into this section. After May needs to shoot the fish statues to raise platforms for Cody to cross (after you've completed the Frog taxi section), they'll slide down some vines and into a new garden area. Straight ahead of you will be a frog statue. Go right of this and there will be a wooden wall on your left. Go around the wall to the other side to find the minigame/challenge. It'll be opposite of the stone stairs you need to climb to progress with the story.

The Attic: Setting the Stage (4)

    Slotcars

In the open room with all of the stacked books that you'll start in, on the floor by the window is a racetrack. This is the minigame/challenge. It's really hard to miss. Do note that there is a chance this one is bugged, but it won't affect your trophy progress. You may still hear prompts happening without any actual visuals (minigame banner, the tambourine, etc). If it doesn't feel like the minigame is starting up, have each player hit OPTIONS to try and "unpause" it. Even if you are missing the actual "winner" scene, it's ok, it'll still count.

    Chess

After you've picked up the first few necessities for the show, you'll be tasked to go find some musicians. When the red carpet rolls out and a new area opens up, there will be a chessboard immediately in front of you. This is the minigame/challenge. It's hard if not impossible to miss.

    Musical Chairs

From the chessboard, face the stack of books to the left of the chessboard, but to the right of red carpet. Climb up to the top of these and there will be a wire you can slide on to reach a high shelf in the other room (the one with the slotcar race). Follow the shelf around and onto the cardboard box at the end of it. Just below you will be a red button with "?!". Just past this is a small blue radio with a single chair in front of it. This is the challenge/minigame.

    Trackrunner

You'll get this one after the one listed below for The Attic: Symphony. When the final section opens up and you need to go and find an audience, follow the red carpet into the new area and immediately on your right will be two arcade machines. These are the minigame/challenge.

    The Attic: Symphony (1)

    Volleyball

You'll get this one before the 4th and final one in The Attic: Setting the Stage. When you're flying out in "heaven" to rescue the musicians, directly in front of the large organ is a platform with a volleyball court on it. This is the minigame/challenge.
  • It takes two to… torture.

This is located in The Tree: Captured. This trophy will unlock for both players, whether they're the ones that enter the chamber or not.

As you progress through the level, you'll eventually come to 3 very large yellow X/t's the May needs to cross with Cody's help (he'll need to shoot them to rotate them so May can pass). When both characters are at the top, break through the wall into the next area. On the right side will an opening with a red button that says "start".

Ground pound on the button and a chamber will be revealed. The trophy will unlock when you do, but if you want to have a little bit more fun, have a character stand inside the chamber and have the other character play around with the very innocent-looking buttons on the front of it.

For an additional reference point, this is just next to the lift that you drop down by opening up all the latches. You need to get it before jumping down the lift.
  • Self-inflicted paparazzi.

This is located in The Tree: Deeply Rooted. There are two ways to unlock this trophy for both players (see below).

After you have to drop the glass jars on the wasp's nests/holes, climb up them and into the next area. You'll come to a polaroid camera with a little scene-setting on the left side (Cody will audibly ask May if it's her camera).

To unlock the trophy, stand in front of the camera and have the other player press the left button on the camera to take a picture of you. This will only unlock the trophy for the character whose picture is being taken, so if you want to get them both in one go, press the button on the right side of the camera to set the timer, then make sure both players are within the frame. When the polaroid pops out, the trophy will unlock.
  • The truth was out there all along!

This is located in Rose's Room: Spaced Out. This trophy will unlock for both players at the same time.

When you reach the second platform of portals that you need to deactivate, go through the yellow one (just to the left of the security camera you can smash with Cody). When you get on the other side, there will be large stacks/walls of pillows on the left and right sides. Climb up to the very top of the right side to find a radar/communications device.

Interact with it and rotate the satellite around and you'll find 4 different frequencies to listen to: Dr. Hakim, Moon Baboon, Rose, and Josef Fares, the founder of Hazelight Studios, repeating his absolutely glorious moment from the 2017 Game Awards. When you've listened to all 4, the trophy will unlock.
  • Shoot for the stars, literally.

This is located in Roses' Room: Spaced Out. This trophy will unlock for both players at the same time.

When you reach the second platform of portals that you need to deactivate, go through the yellow one (just to the left of the security camera you can smash with Cody). When you get on the other side, there will be large stacks/walls of pillows on the left and right sides. Progress forward and you'll eventually come to a teeter-totter that you need to use to boost each other up with. Cody will need to boost May up first, then May needs to jump off to boost up Cody. Before May jumps from the higher ledge onto the teeter-totter, turn Cody into his tiny itty-bitty size.

When May jumps down to boost him up, the force of her fall will send Cody flying into space. When he reaches the stars, the trophy will unlock.
  • Guess it was time to cash out.

This is located in Rose's Room: Hopscotch. You will earn this after A Daring Devil trophy_gold.png.This is the only miscellaneous trophy that you'll need to restart a checkpoint to get for both players.

As you make your way through a pretty decent chunk of this section (past most of the puzzles and number blocks), you'll come to a "pull my finger" section, followed by an area where you need to turn some valves to stop a green and yellow ball pit waterfall. Just after this, you'll come to a section with a frog game on the left and a piggy bank just in front of you.

On the ground around the piggy bank are 4 coins. You need to pick up each coin and place it in the back of the piggy bank. When you do, the bank will lay on its back. Ground smash the bank to break it. When you do, the trophy will unlock.

This trophy will only unlock for the player who actually smashes the piggy bank, so to get it for the other player, just restart the latest checkpoint via the save menu and when you get to this area, repeat the process for the second player so they can get the trophy as well.
  • Put on a show and die trying.

This is located in Rose's Room: Hopscotch. You will earn this before Break the Bank trophy_gold.png. The trophy will unlock for both players at the same time.

When you first start the section, you'll come to a green-carpeted area with a little toy car. Just in front of the toy car is a ramp with a ring up in the air. As you may have guessed, you'll need to get the car to fly through the ring to unlock the trophy. Have a player sit in the car while the other one will pull them back. You want to pull them to roughly this spot:

Let go of the car and it should have enough momentum to get through the ring without going over. When it goes through, confetti and explosions will happen, but the trophy will also unlock.
  • Now look who's extinct!

This is located in Rose's Room: Dino Land. This trophy will unlock for both players at the same time.

As soon as you start this section, one player will be controlling a large, mechanical dinosaur and the other player will be climbing across a castle wall. The Dinosaur will need to move sections of the wall to allow the other player to pass, but you'll eventually come to a section where the Dinosaurs mouth comes suspiciously close to the other player (the player controlling the Dinosaur will also have a button queue).

Press triangle.png and the green Dinosaur will eat the innocent-definitely-didn't-deserve-this red dino and when it does, the trophy will unlock.
  • Isn't it pretty? That's going on the fridge.

This will be in the same section as On Rails Experience trophy_gold.png.

This trophy is located in Rose's Room: Once Upon a Time. The trophy will unlock for each player when they perform the required action.

In the Magic Castle area, there is a section with some paints, an empty canvas, and some paintings on the "walls". If you can't find this area when running around, hop on the train and it'll eventually pass by the area you're looking for.

To the left of the red heart painting is a printer that will wipe your blank canvas for you. Climb up on top of it and "accidentally" step into the paper feed section. When you do, you'll come out the other side flat as a pancake. After floating around for a second or two, the trophy will unlock.
  • Choo Choo!

This will be in the same sections as Realize Your Art trophy_gold.png

This trophy is located in Rose's Room: Once Upon a Time. The trophy will unlock for each player individually when they perform the required action.

When you enter the Magic Castle area, you'll notice that there is a choo-choo train that goes around the perimeter of the area. When it's close by, you'll see a button prompt on any of the empty seats. Press triangle.png to enter any empy seat and once you've ridden the train for a few seconds, the trophy will unlock.
  • Helltower? More like hello-from-up-here-tower!

This will be in Cuckoo Clock: Gates of Time. The trophy will unlock for each player individually when they've made it to the top of the tower and interacted with the button.

When you reach the open area with the little town, there will be a small fishing area in one corner and bright lights spelling out "HELLTOWER" just next to it.

Have both players hit the buttons in front of the sign at the same time and a large tower will appear. To get this trophy, you just need to make it to the top of the tower and press the button. Sounds easy enough, but honestly, this is arguably the most difficult trophy in the game. The timing required for everything is quite precise, so you need to take your time going up and watch for the patterns. When you get to the wall jump section, you can't rush it. Jump on one wall at a time, then wait for them to expand, then come back together before continuing (you'll know what I mean when you actually get here). If you're playing as May, you have a slight advantage with this as you can just put a clone down as you progress up higher and if you happen to fall, just teleport back up to it.

If you're having trouble with the bottom half of the tower, there is a hookshot you can swing from that will put you at right about the wall jump section of the tower. You just need to be careful when jumping over to it since all of the platforms will be rotating. Once you've reached the top, press the red button and the trophy will unlock.
  • Again? Keep track of your kids!

This will be in the same area as Mood Swing trophy_gold.png, Snow Globe: Winter Village. The trophy will unlock for both players when all of the babies have been returned.

To the right of the snow-covered halfpipe will be a mama turtle with 4 empty nests in front of her.

Scattered around the ice around town are 4 baby turtles, 2 blue and 2 red (there is one of each on the lower section of ice and one of each on the higher section of ice). You need to use your magnets to return all 4 babies to the mama turtle. When you do, the trophy will unlock.
  • Took things a bit too far, didn't you?

This will be in the same area as Lost And Found trophy_bronze.png, Snow Globe: Winter Village. The trophy will unlock for both players at the same time.

Before you can get this trophy, you'll need to defrost the tower that requires May to rotate a crane so Cody can climb up and ring the bell. When you do, the swings will be just to the right of the tower.

Head over to the swings and there will be one empty one and one with a soon-to-be-unfortunate fellow just minding his own business. You can play around with the empty one if you like, but the trophy requires the one with the fellow. Using Cody, stand behind the occupied swing and use your magnet to push it forward. Keep doing so and eventually the swing will have enough momentum to start making loops. Keep going, causing the swing to go faster and faster and eventually, the poor soul who was on it will fly off in the abyss. When they do, the trophy will unlock. You monster.
  • Don't feed the animals! Or do, they're adorable.

This is found in the same area as Terror Of The Seven Seas trophy_bronze.png, Snow Globe: Beneath the Ice. The trophy will unlock for each player when they've completed the required action.

This is found out of the water, not in. Near the start of the minigame/challenge "Ice Race" (see Minigame Megalomania trophy_gold.png if you need help finding it, but you should be able to see the black and white race banner from pretty far away) there will be a boat in the water with seals on some ice in the water around it.

Hop onto the boat and take control of one of the harpoon guns. Look in the water and you'll see a handful of swordfish swimming around. Shoot at one to catch one, then aim the harpoon gun at a seal and shoot it at their face to feed the swordfish to them. When you do, the trophy will unlock.
  • Scurvy! Ye look smashing, captain!

This is found in the same area as Something Fishy trophy_bronze.png, Snow Globe: Beneath the Ice. The trophy will unlock for each player when they've completed the required action.

On the opposite side of the above-water area from the Ice Race minigame/challenge (see Minigame Megalomania trophy_gold.png) and the seals for Something Fishy trophy_bronze.png, there will be a large Pirate Ship frozen over. On the ship's stern will be a treasure chest that when opened, will reveal some gold and, more importantly, two dashing pirate hats.

Interact with one of the pirate hats to put it on and bless the world with some ayes and arghs. When you do, the trophy will unlock.
  • Release that tension at the root level.

This is located in Garden: Green Fingers.

After your first fight with a large vine creature and some small trees, a new pathway will open up. Just after this will be a sign splitting the path. To the left will be "Greenhouse" and to the right will be "Spa". Head to the right and interact with the blue curtains on the left to head inside.

Immediately in front of you will be a hot bath. Interact with it to take a seat in the water and after a few seconds of pure relaxation, the trophy will unlock.
  • You reached a higher state of mind. Or at least some peace and quiet.

This will be in The Attic: Symphony. The trophy will unlock when both players have completed the required action.

When you reach the "heaven" area of the final chapter, you'll need to fly around clouds and collect musical notes. These notes unlock two doors, one on each dome. Between the domes is a drum, slightly hidden by a draped cloth just above it.

Inside are some ottomans that you can interact with. Do so and you'll start to meditate, unlocking this trophy.

Secret trophies

  • They had no way out.

This is located in Rose's Room: Pillow Fort. This trophy will unlock for both players at the same time.

When you start the level, progress forward until you pass by a round, purple star-projector on the right and you'll eventually come to a narrow tunnel with a green light. Before going through the tunnel, on the right will be a toy communication device (if you press the button on it, a satellite will orbit a planet). Climb up the opposite side (left of the green-lit tunnel) and inside a crate in the back will be Leo and Vincent from A Way Out.

In front of each of them will be a button. You need to press the buttons with your co-op partner at the same time to get the two dolls to play out a scene. When it's done, the trophy will unlock.

If you haven't played A Way Out, a spoiler alert will be in place for this trophy as it gives away part of the story for that game.
  • Breathe some wind into your ocarina, my skyward princess!

This will be located in Cuckcoo Clock: Gates of Time. The trophy will unlock for both players at the same time.

After the first town section (where you unlocked Platforming Prodigy trophy_gold.png), you'll need to use May to press two buttons so the May and Cody dolls can progress through a door (just as a further reference, the rightmost button will be underneath a silver bell). When you reach the next section of the town, you'll need to lower a drawbridge so the dolls can continue forward. When you're on the other side of the bridge, look in the water/moat for a paddleboat connected to a rail. Have both players jump in the boat and continue along the rail until you go into a tunnel. About halfway through the tunnel will be a building on the right side.

Jump off here and head inside. If you've played Zelda: Ocarina of Time, this room should look quite familiar. Just start breaking things inside and after a few seconds, the trophy will unlock.
