The South Wing of Hogwarts in Hogwarts Legacy is one of the more interesting areas of the castle. Given that it plays home to the Faculty Tower, there’s more locked doors here than in pretty much any other area of the school, and you won’t even be able to access much of it until later in the game, when caretaker Gladwin Moon teaches you all three levels of the Alohomora charm.
You’ll also find the Clock Tower here, which is impressive in its size, and hosts one of the most interesting secrets you’ll find in Hogwarts, locked behind a puzzle. However, a few of the collectibles are literally locked behind doors until you solve this puzzle as well. Luckily, we’ve got all of the locations and solutions that you’ll need to get every collectible in the South Wing.
The Well of Four Beasts - In the exterior of the Clock Tower Courtyard, between the Hogwarts South Exit Floo Flame and the Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flame.
Levioso Statue - Near the Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flame.
Flying Page - There’s a flying page in the Clock Tower by the Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flame. It’s flying around the pendulum above you.
Moth Mirror - Coming from the Clock Tower Courtyard, take a left when in the Clock Tower and pick the lock of the door on the left. The moth itself is back out in the courtyard.
Dragon Statue - Start from the Hospital Wing Floo Flame and head south and go down a level, there will be a statue to hit with fire to the south, to the left (in the Clock Tower rafters).
Clock Mechanics - From the Hospital Wing, make your way around the rafters in the Clock Tower to the south-side rafters. From there, use Revelio on the cogs.
Prefects’ Bathroom - In the Prefects’ bathroom, in the Faculty Tower, one floor down from the Hospital Wing Floo Flame at the top. Use Revelio on the mermaid mural.
Levioso Statue - In the Hospital Wing, outside the Prefect’s bathroom, up many flights of stairs. You’ll need Alohomora from The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament mission to gain access. Use Levioso on the statue.
Boris the Bewildered - Outside the Prefects’ Bathroom, one floor down from the Hospital Wing Floo Flame, is this statue.
Unicorn Fountain - Right next to the Hospital Ward Floo Flame on the top floor. Up some stairs from the Prefects’ Bathroom.
Flying Page - In the hospital ward, there’s a page flying around. Look up at the ceiling and use Accio to grab it.
Flying Page - A couple of flights of stairs down from the Hospital Wing Floo Flame is a flying page. Near the Jewel-Encrusted Tortoise Shell.
Jewel-Encrusted Tortoise Shell - On a small landing between staircases in the Faculty Tower, two floors down from the Hospital Wing Floo Flame.
Dragon Statue - By the Jewel-Encrusted Tortoise Shell in the Faculty Tower, two floors down from the Hospital Wing Floo Flame, there’s a Level 3 locked door. Open it, and take notice of the large fireplace in front of you. Use the Glacius charm to put out the fire, and crawl through the fireplace, and continue up some steps. There’s a dragon statue in the room at the top, cast a fire spell on it to reveal the page.
Map of Argyllshire - At the bottom of the Gryffindor Tower (coming from the Clock Tower), this map will just be inside the door on the left.
Moth Mirror - Use Depulso on the button above the Map of Argyllshire and it’ll open a secret passage. There’s a moth mirror inside. The moth itself is round the corner in the girls’ bathroom.
Lachlan the Lanky - Just down the stairs to the northeast from the Map of Argyllshire is a statue.
Dragon Statue - From the statue, look in the north east corner and you’ll see the statue to set fire to at the end of the corridor.
Haunted Toilets - Head north-northwest from the Lachlan the Lanky statue in the bottom of Gryffindor Tower, and there’s a padlocked door. Use Revelio on the door.
Portrait of Barrufio - This can be found in the south west corner of the Facility Tower, near where Mr Moon is stood waiting for his Demiguise statues.
Adventure Novel Set - Inside of Professor Onai’s office on the first floor of the Faculty Tower, behind a level 2 locked door (near the number puzzle door).
Fat Lady Portrait - From the Faculty Tower Floo Flame, head south to the spiral staircase, and head up one flight of stairs. The Fat Lady portrait will be visible down the end of a dead end corridor.
Levioso Statue - Despite the Quad Courtyard seemingly counting as a part of the Grand Staircase on the map, this Levioso statue on the very south side of the Quad Courtyard actually counts towards the South Wing’s Field Guide Pages.
South Wing Demiguise Statue Locations (1)
At the bottom of Gryffindor Tower, to the northwest, you’ll find a Level 1 padlocked door to the Haunted Bathroom (as per the Field Guide page outside). The statue is inside, just go into the middle cubicle, and there’s a secret room behind it. The nearest Floo Flame is the Grand Staircase's Quad Courtyard, from there head southwest through the bottom door.
South Wing Collection Chests Locations (5)
Collection Chest #1
On the bottom floor of the Faculty Tower (after coming from the One-Eyed Witch Passage) you’ll find a frog statue. Go directly ahead and down some stairs and you’ll see it. Interact with it to jump into the frog’s mouth, and you’ll be spat out into a secret room with a Collection Chest inside.
Collection Chest #2
By the Jewel-Encrusted Tortoise Shell in the Faculty Tower, there’s a Level 3 locked door. Open it, and take notice of the large fireplace in front of you. Use the Glacius charm to put out the fire, and crawl through the fireplace, and continue up some steps. The collection chest is in the room at the top.

The South Wing of Hogwarts in Hogwarts Legacy is one of the more interesting areas of the castle.
