Introduction:

FIA European Truck Racing Championship is an official racing game of the title series but it also covers the World Series of truck racing. This is isn't your typical racer, because of the available vehicles, plus trucks are massive, way less responsive & slower than typical racecars (they're electronically limited to 160 km/h/99,4 mph) but racing them is suprisingly fun. You also have to mind the breakes & use water to cool them down strategically. The Platinum is mostly limited to passing licences & a career mode in which you have to complete 2 sesons of 2 available series. This series features the reverse grid, which means first 8 trucks on finish line of race1 are reversed on the starting grid of the 2nd race. This makes the series more interesting for spectators in real-life & luckily at the same time means it's easier to skip some races in-game if your point advantage goes high towards the 2nd half of some seasons. Be sure to switch race length to minimal (25%) before starting each season, set difficulty to Easy as well, this will save you a lot of time with skipping qualify sessions. It's also a good idea to switch damage to Off or Visual Only, as you will often have to fight your way from the back of the pack.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete the licences

Beating this step is mandatory to gain entry to championships. If you're familiar with Gran Turismo series, these are pretty much the same. The only difference is they're very easy (I got gold on every licencse without even trying) & you only need to complete them, no matter the grade

Completing this step will unlock the following trophy:

Step 2a: create your driver, sign a contract & win every race within your first season of weekend contracts in either ETRC or World Series

I started with ETRC, because it has more races & less truck variety so I wanted to get it over with 1st but you can start with any series you want. You cannot sign a full contract in your first season so you need to go for weekend contracts each racing weekend (which consists of 4 races). It is very important to always pick the offer which gives you max Reputation & win all races, this will enable you to get all the Rep trophies for each series within just 2 seasons. Also be sure to complete & win all qualifying sessions before your 1st race (after 1st race you can always skip quali, also always skip practice). Be sure to avoid any damage in 1st race, as it's the best place in the game to get no-damage trophy

Winning 1st race weekend along with all qualifiying sessions & not taking damage will earn you the following trophies:

Keep winning races on your 1st season without skipping any of them (skip practice & qualifying only) to unlock:

Step 2b: win your second, full season of either ETRC or World Series (skipping races available)

In this step you will sign a full season contract & start earning money along with reputation. It is important to sign a contract with a team that gives you the most Reputation per season (I got both Reputation trophies by geting just enough or very little bit over the points required within 2 seasons). Earning money on the other hand goes suprisingly fast, you can unlock money-related trophies within 2-3 race weekends, don't hesitate to fully upgrade your truck as soon as possible. As in previous step, always skip qualification & practice sessions. Towards the 2nd half of this season you can also skip entire races or even weekends. Just mind the oponents gap in championship table & don't skip the last race, just to be safe.

After completing this step will earn you the following trophies:

Well-travelled trophy_bronze.png
Rolling in it trophy_silver.png
Got to spend money trophy_bronze.png
The best in the business trophy_silver.png
A familiar face trophy_silver.png

Step 3a: Win every race within your first season of weekend contracts in the one series you got left to complete

This is basically the same step as 2a, just win all races within your first season of whatever series you got left (single-weekend contracts) to unlock the track-related trophies, the championship & get the most Reputation. The only difference is you can skip all practice & qualifying sessions here. Just win every race.

After completing this step will earn you the following trophies:

Moving up in the World Series trophy_silver.png
Champ of Laguna Seca trophy_bronze.png
Champ of Fuji Speedway trophy_bronze.png
Champ of Winton Motor Raceway trophy_bronze.png
Champ of Circuit of the Americas trophy_bronze.png
Champ of Autodromo De Buenos Aires trophy_bronze.png
Champ of Canadian Tire Motorsport Park trophy_bronze.png

Conqueror of all trophy_gold.png
World champion trophy_gold.png

Step 3b: win your second, full season in the one series you got left to complete (skipping races available)

This is basically the same step as 2b, you can upgrade the truck along the way for a better performance. In this step you will sign a full season contract. Again it's important to sign a contract with a team that gives you the most Reputation per season. In World Series I managed to get exactly the number of rep to get the trophy so choosing the right team is important.

After completing this step will earn you the following trophies:

  • Unlock all trophies

As always - unlock all trophies & the plat is yours.
  • Create your driver in career and sign your first contract

Type in your name, surname, nationality & pick a team you want to race with. This gets unlocked right before your first race in career.
  • Complete your first career race

Self-explanatory. Just win your 1st race.
  • Earn 4000 Reputation in the ETRC

    MISSABLE

Your 1st season you will be limited to getting Reputation only. As mentioned in the Road Map, 1st season is based on one weekend contracts. This means you can change your team each race weekend but it's recomended to stick to the one that will give you max Reputation per race. In your 2nd season, when you sign full season contract you will only earn money per race and a massive chunk of Reputation after finishing the entire season while fulfiling the team objective/final result (or higher). This means you can skip some races every time you go for a full season. Be sure to pick the full season contract with a team that gives you the most Reputation, to save yourself a minor grind later.
  • Earn 4000 Reputation in the World Series

    MISSABLE

This is the same as A familiar face trophy_silver.png but here the amounts of Reputation given per race/season are even stricter (I managed to get the trophy at the end of my 2nd season with exactly 4,000/4,000 rep). Just win everything on your 1st season & skip some races of the 2nd season if you want, minding your position on the championship table.
  • Become the World Series champion

Be at the top of the World Series championship table at the end of the season to become a champion, simple as that. World Series goes around tracks based in both Americas, Asia & Canada. It has a bit less races in the calendar & different trucks. You must become a champion anyway, to unlock the Reputation trophies.
  • Become the ETRC champion

Be at the top of the ETRC championship table at the end of the season to become a champion, simple as that. ETRC goes around tracks based in Europe. It has a bit more races in the callendar & trucks are little less diverse. You must become a champion anyway, to unlock the Reputation trophies.
  • Get promoted to a Titan driver in the ETRC

U will unlock this after finishing your 1st weekend with pole position & races won. This is a category given for truck racers with "outstanding achievements" like winning Super Poles, races and championships etc.
  • Get promoted to a Titan driver in the World Series

See Moving up in the ETRC trophy_silver.png for more details.
  • Successfully complete a team's objective

In any contract you sign, you will get a team objective. It's always tied to finishing race on specified position (or higher). This will be unlocked after your 1st race weekend.
  • Complete your first race weekend

Every race weekend consists of 2 days, with a practice session, 2 qualfying sessions & 2 races for each day. Just complete your firs race weekend to get this one.
  • Complete all of the license tests

Licence tests are mandatory to move up to the career mode. They are all very easy though, as well as useful to get a hang of how to drive the trucks & cool the brakes. Just complete them all, it doesn't matter what medal you get as long as it's a pass (Bronze will be enough for the trophy).
  • In Career mode, claim pole position

Just win the pole position in career, You will get this during your 1st race weekend while following the Guide.
  • In Career, advance to the Super Pole after qualifying

Super Pole is a fancy name for a 2nd stage of the qualifying session, just win it to get the pole position for the 1st race of the day. This will unlock during your 1st race, where you need to complete the qualifying sessions either way.
  • In Career, set the fastest lap in a race

This is basically unmissable if you play on easy/keep winning races. You will unlock this one probably without even knowing.
  • Upgrade a part of your truck

On season 2 of whatever series picked you will sign a full season contract with a team & here you will finally earn money for every race. Trophy description is kinda misleading, as this one requires you to fully upgrade a single part. Simply go to garage between races (or even between sessions) & buy all the upgrades for a single part of your truck.
  • Fully upgrade your truck

On season 2 of whatever series picked you will sign a full season contract with a team & here you will finally earn money for every race. You can afford this suprisingly fast, even somwhere around your 3rd race of 2nd season. Just as soon as you have the funds fully upgrade every part available to get this trophy.
  • In Career, achieve a points finish

Not much to explain here, this pops after your 1st race when following this guide.
  • In Career, achieve a podium finish

This will unlock after your 1st race.
  • Earn a total of 10,000 credits

As soon as money earning is available (2nd season/full season contract) you will be paid after each race. 10,000 credits is a very low bar & you will get this very quickly when winning all races within a race weekend.

  • Win a race at Winton Motor Raceway

See Conqueror of all trophy_gold.png for more details
  • Win a race on all circuits

This trophy is why you need to win races within your 1st single-weekend seasons of both series. Wining a single race within a race weekend will be enough to get this trophy but it's still recommended to win all the races within your 1st season of each series, as you gain Reputation for winning each race while on a single weekend contract.
  • Drive a total of 500km

This will come autmatically during a course of a game, somwhere in a 1st half of your 2nd season.
  • Win a race without taking any body damage

Be sure to do this on your first race, in which you will tackle all the qualifying session trophies. This is the only time within the game where you will need to complete the qualification so make use of it to easily avoid damage from other trucks & walls as well. This is still possible to do starting from the back of the pack but way more difficult, especially on narrow tracks. Circuit of The Americas is the widest track of the game so go for it here if you didn't get this on your 1st race.
  • Win a race after starting last on the grid

You will get this while skipping qualifying sessions & winning races afterwards, which you will be doing in all but 1 race on your way to the platinum.
