Introduction

Fatal Fury: Battle Archives Volume 2! As it sounds. This is a collection from one of SNK's most popular fighting game series FATAL FURY. The titles included are: REAL BOUT FATAL FURY, REAL BOUT FATAL FURY SPECIAL and REAL BOUT FATAL FURY 2; The Newcomers. The games are known for their hand-drawn animation and character designs containing visual flair and personality with 2D gameplay that is fast, furious and addictive. This was released for ps2 now re-released by SNK for ps4.

Trophy wise its not over the top hard. However being these old classic fighting games, it can get tough sometimes. Especially since the A.I. is really hard to exploit and will read you quite easily. You need to beat all 3 games on at least level 4 settings. As there is a trophy tied to it. See trophy guide for more info. You need also to do one match on level 8 settings (Hardest).But there is a trick that is very useful for this. That trick is using pause. When you pause you can see the moves of your opponent and adjust after it. I highly suggest doing this. Fighting Geese (the final boss) is not easy, therefore I myself resorted to abusing pause. All characters are available from the start so there is no need to unlock something extra.

Walkthrough.

Step 1: Real Bout Fatal Fury.
Your first game. Set settings to level 1 (Easy) Get the SSS rank, and 10 rush hit trophy.
You can get the ring out trophy also but its not a must. You will get it eventually, when trying to beat the game.
After you done. Restart and set settings to level 4 (Medium) Now playthrough entire game beating all 12 characters and
final boss (Geese).

After this step you will have:
Super Rated
Fatal Flurry
Out of Bounds
Real Bout Champion

Step 2: Real Bout 2.
The easiest one of the 3. Here you must beat an opponent without taking damage. Perform a hidden Special move. K.O. an opponent from Sway line. And beating the game on level 4 (Medium).

After this step you will have:
Unchallenged
Secret Weapon
From the Flank
Real Bout 2 Champion

Step 3: Real Bout Special.
Your final game. Here you need to beat an opponent on level 8 (Hardest) get over 1 million points in one run. Here I recommend doing 2 playthroughs. 1 for the level 4 settings run and 1 run for 1 million points and unlocking Geese, the final boss. Big reminder here for Geese. When you unlock him to fight. Make sure you don't lose since you won't get a continue against him. Meaning you need to restart your run.

After this step you will have:

Super Rated

Earn an SSS rating in a single round of Real Bout Fatal Fury (Single Play).
In Real bout. In order to get SSS rank you need to met certain requirements. You must end the 2 round with a Special. You need to get a perfect win and must end the 2nd round of the match in less than 12 seconds.

Start by going to options and set it on level 1 (Easy) Terry is your character of choice and your opponent should be Franco. 1st round you need to build up enough meter to be able to perform a Special move for 2nd round. Do jump in with , standing and do 236, additionally you can also do 214,

After you got full meter. You must end the 2nd round with a Special move. You can do Terry´s power geyser. 21426+. If you are having trouble refer to video for demonstration.
Fatal Flurry

K.O. an opponent with at least a 10-hit Rush attack in Real Bout Fatal Fury (Single Play).
This is easier than it sounds. On character select screen, pick Sukaku and your opponent Franco. First you wanna take down his health to about 1/4 left. Now just do , and tap repeatedly. Remember that you must K.O. the opponent when doing this for the trophy to pop. Also this should be done on level 1 (Easy)

Out of Bounds

Ring Out an opponent in Real Bout Fatal Fury (Single Play).
Like many fighting games. Try to knock your opponent out of the ring. Pressure them at the end of the stage with attacks. This is rather easy. And its bound to happen on your way to beat the game. So its not much to worry bout.
Real Bout Champion

Beat Real Bout Fatal Fury with any character.
Simply beat the game with any character for the trophy to unlock.

Unchallenged

Defeat an opponent without taking any damage in Real Bout 2 (Single Play).
In Real Bout 2 you need to beat an opponent without taking damage. You need to do it on both rounds. Start by going in to options. Set settings to level 1 (Easy) I suggest using Terry but go ahead and pick any character you feel comfortable with. Now your opponent should be Franco. I highly suggest abusing the pause method. That way you will be 1 step ahead of your opponent.
Secret Weapon

K.O. an opponent with a Hidden Ability in Real Bout 2 (Single Play).
In Real Bout 2. All characters has Hidden Ability that's listed in the Skill list. First you wanna fully build your meter. But to be able to perform the hidden ability you must have red health yourself. I once again used Terry for this. His hidden ability is 21426+ remember that you must K.O. the opponent. Refer to video for demonstration.
From the Flank

K.O. an opponent from a Sway line in Real Bout 2 (Single Play).
In Real Bout. Pick any character against any opponent. Beat your opponent until he/she has a fraction of life. Now do side step and K.O. your opponent. Refer to the video for demonstration.
Real Bout 2 Champion

Beat Real Bout 2 with any character.
Simply beat Real Bout 2 with any character for the trophy to unlock. See Conquering the Collection for more info.
Beat the Best to Be the Best

Defeat a level 8 opponent in Real Bout Special.
In Real Bout Special. Defeat an opponent on level 8 (Hardest) for the trophy to unlock. Luckily its only 1 character. Go to options and settings level 8. Pick a character you feel comfortable with. I personally used Terry. Stick to his crouching sweep, 2, . Its a good move and does fairly good damage. Resort to pause abusing if you are having trouble.
Score Champion

Reach 1,000,000 points in Real Bout Special.
In order to reach 1,000,000 points you must do fairly good on your run. Need to defeat your opponents fairly quick, trying to end the rounds with Special moves and get a good rank. Also to be able to get to 1,000,000 you must unlock Geese (final boss) See Conquer Your Nightmares for more info. I suggest doing this on separate run, and doing this on level 1 (Easy)
Real Bout Special Champion

Beat Real Bout Special with any character.
Simply beat Real Bout Special with any character for the trophy to unlock.

Conquering the Collection

Beat Real Bout Fatal Fury, Real Bout Fatal Fury Special, and Real Bout 2 on level 4 or higher.

You need to beat all 3 games on at least level 4 (Medium) for this trophy to unlock.

We start with Real Bout 1. The hardest of the 3. You are allowed to use continue on all 3 games. Pick the character you feel most comfortable with it. Or you can once again use Terry since he is good all-rounder. Stick to his basics. Standing, and sweep 2, Again i suggest pause abusing to make it easier on yourself. Fighting Geese is not easy at all. He will read you like an open book. Also jumping against him don´t work since he will auto counter you. With little trial and error you will finally beat him!

In Real Bout 2. The game is a lot more friendly. Again Terry is your best choice, sticking to same strategy. The good thing here is that if you lose. You will get 4 options for the re-match. These are.

1. Power gauge max. Choosing this will start the round with max power for Special moves.
2. 1/4 Opponent Power(Health) i strongly suggest choosing this every time.
3. Extra match. Start with a win.
4. Normal game. No changes here everything is the same.

Real Bout Special. There is not any big difference here between Real Bout 1 and Special. However here you are spared with fighting Geese. He is a hidden boss. Stick to same strategy as for Real Bout 1.

Conquer Your Nightmares

Defeat Nightmare Geese in Real Bout Special.
In Real Bout Special. This trophy will come with the 1,000,000 points trophy. In order to unlock Geese, you must met certain criteria. First you need to get at least 750,000 points but you should aim for as highest as you possibly can. Also you can't get a lower rank than C. Every round you will be rewarded with a grade, depending how well you do. The higher the better. Timer is quite important as well. As the faster you beat your opponents the more points you will receive. This should be done on level 1 (Easy) difficulty settings. I again use Terry. By only doing simple moves like jumping and sweep 2,

Additionally there is another way with Krauser. A little more stylish one. By using 3 simple moves.
Jump in standing , and 236, Below is a video demonstrating this strategy.

Also one big reminder! Don´t lose against Geese no matter what. You will not get a second chance. If you lose you must do it all over again.
