ROADMAP

Step 1 - Evaluation Test:

New to F1 2014, after getting rid of the Young Driver Test is the Evaluation Test. This sees you in a three lap race around Monza against the AI. The way it works is that you drive around trying to beat the AI. If you finish 1st or 2nd, you're recommended the difficulty one higher than what you did the Evaluation Test on. Finish in 3rd and you're recommended the same difficulty, any lower and you're recommended one down. I recommend you choose hard for this, that'll give you breathing space to finish the race, and you just have to finish 3rd. You're able to choose what driving aids you use. But sometimes it will recommend you "Custom". If this happens, play around with the assists and it should eventually recommend you Hard. Don't forget to use a flashback while you're driving around, this will also net you the "Back in Time trophy.

The trophies that you will be earning in this step are:

It's Really Easy!
Hardcore Racer
Back In Time

Step 2 - Career:

You will be getting a lot of your trophies in this game mode. There are no difficulty related trophies for you to deal with, so put it on whatever difficulty you want. Even on easy (We won't judge you, promise ).

Unlike last year, you're able to choose whatever team you want for Career. I recommend you choose Mercedes, as they are easily the fastest team in the game, you will most likely be getting 1-2 finishes every race. You need to do at least one race weekend on the "Long Race Weekend" so you can get the trophy "Eat My Dust for setting the fastest time in every session (Practice, Q1, 2 and 3, and winning the race).

New for this year is the ability to choose between a Short, Medium and Long Length Careers, you have to complete a Career in each one to get all of the trophies.

Season 1 - Long Career
This Career is where you'll be getting most of your Career related trophies. The Long Career consists of 19 races. You will want to do the first race set to Long Race Weekend, if you set the fastest time in each session, you will get the "Eat My Dust" trophy, you will also get the "The First Step" "Career Focussed" "Leader Of The Pack" and the "The Long Road" trophies in the same weekend. For the second race of the Career, you will want to start the race in last place. You then need to win the race from that position for the "Zero To Hero" trophy. You'll also want to make a Mid-Session Save during this race to get the "I'll Be Back"trophy.

You can then carry on like normal for the rest of the Career, until you reach the German Grand Prix, this is where you will get your first team offer. The trophy "Jumping Ship" will pop once you accept the offer. If you want to stick with your current team, there is a little trick you can do with the Autosave. From the Main Menu, go to "My F1" > "Driver Information" > Driver Details. When you're there, there will be an option for turning off Autosave, turn it off, then return to your Career. Once you accept the offer and get the trophy, reset the game when you're done and you'll be back with your original team.

Make sure, during your Career, to make a custom setup, this can be done from the Garage Menu, select the little cog icon, then it will take you to the car setup screen. Win the next race and you'll get the "Fine Tuned" trophy.

There should be no issues from this point onwards, so get to the end of the season for the "Full House" "Constructors' World Champion" and the "Grand Prix Legend" trophies.

I'll Be Back
Fine Tuned
The Long Road
Eat My Dust
The First Step
Career Focussed
Leader Of The Pack
Zero To Hero
Jumping Ship
Long Haul Driver
Grand Prix Legend
Full House
Constructors' World Champion

Season 2 - Medium Career

You won't be getting as many trophies in the next two steps, because you should of got them all in the Long Career playthrough. The Medium Career is just 12 races long, so it shouldn't take too long. You only need to win the Drivers Championship this time, so don't worry about your team-mate. If you want to get through this as quick as possible, you can put the qualifying on One-Shot Qualifying. This will just be a single lap, rather than a 15 minute Qualifying or the Full three sessions.

Mid-distance Driver
The Dirty Dozen

Season 3 - Short Career

Same tactices as the Medium Length Career, only this time it's 7 races. Again, you only need to win the Drivers Championship.

Short Haul Driver
Lucky 7

Step 3 - Season Challenge:

There are two different ways you can approach your Season Challenge playthrough. The first one is for the quicker players, the second is for players who are not so good at the game. I will be going through both ways for Season Challenge.

Season 1
This season is where you'll be staying with your starting team and going for the Championship. When you start Season Challenge, you'll want to select the Hard difficulty. This will leave you with just Caterham and Marussia to choose from. Yu'll want to stick with the team you choose for the entire season for the "Home Sweet Home" trophy. You can also get the "Domination" trophy knocked out of the way by beating 4 rivals. Once you beat a rival, do NOT accept the offer from the team, press the button to reject the offer. If you accept it will lock you out of the "Home Sweet Home" trophy. You also need to make sure you beat each rival 2-0, there aren't enough races too beat each rival 2-1.

You also want to take pole position somewhere in this step. The default Qualifying format is the One-Shot Qualifying. Once you take pole, you'll get the "Now Or Never" and the "One Shot At Glory" trophies (If you didn't get them in Step 2)

Your main objective in this Season is to win the Championship. Once it's impossible for you to lose the championship, you'll get the "Doing It The Hard Way" "Well Seasoned" and "Challenge Completed" trophies.

Now Or Never
One Shot At Glory
One Down
Domination
Home Sweet Home
Challenge Completed
Well Seasoned
Doing It The Hard Way

Season 2

This step is where you want to be accepting offers after beating your Rivals. Each rival battle is the best of three races, but you want to beat them 2-0, because It's only a 10 race Season. There aren't any difficulty related trophies, so stick it on whatever difficulty you want. After you've accepted your first driver offer, you'll want to save up and go and turn off Autosave. You can do this from the Main Menu, Go to "My F1" > "Driver Information" > Driver Details. When you're there, there will be an option for turning it off. Once you've got it turned off, return to you Season Challenge. Once there, you'll want to select your next rival from somebody at your previous team. You'll want to beat them 2-0 to get an offer from that team. Accept that offer and you'll get the Reunion trophy. Once the trophy pops, you'll want to reset the game and turn Autosave back on. Return to Season Challenge and you should be back at the point of selecting your rival. Carry on as normal, beating all of the rivals until you reach the end. You wil get the "Playing The Field" trophy along the way.

Reunion
Playing The Field

Alternate Step 3 - Season Challenge

This step is for players who aren't as quick at the game, so will struggle to win the Championship with one of the lower teams.

Season 1
This is the season where you want to go for the Hard Championship. You still have to start as Marussia or Caterham. But you can change team during the course of the season. When you start, you will be asked to choose a rival. You'll want to choose somebody you're comfortable in beating, so start with the mid-field teams and work upwards. You'll still need to race for 5 different teams in this step, so don't make too many big steps. I recommend going Lotus>Toro Rosso>McLaren>Red Bull>Mercedes. Once you've raced for all of these teams, you'll get the "Playing The Field" trophy. During this time, you'll also want to use the Autosave trick and return to your starting team (As detailed in the previous step) for the "Reunion" trophy.

If you've done everything right, make a push for the Championship. The trophy will pop once it's impossible for you to lose the Championship.

Now or Never
One Shot At Glory
One Down
Domination
Reunion
Playing The Field
Challenge Completed
Well Seasoned
Doing It The Hard Way

Season 2

This season will be simple enough, just go through a whole season with your starting team, Season challenge would only take 1 season if they didn't have this trophy. You don't even have to finish every race. Just get to the end of the season.

Home Sweet Home

Step 4 - Proving Grounds:

Being the same as last years game, there are three different game modes for you to choose from. Scenario, Time Attack and Time Trial.

Scenario mode gives you four different difficulties, Very Easy, Easy, Medium and Hard, there are 5 Scenarios in each. The Very Easy and Easy only give you Bronze medals, Medium only gives Silvers and Hard gives you Gold. If you need help with any of the Scenarios, check out the individual Trophy Guides for each difficulty.

The First Of Many?
Bronzed
Age of Bronze
Silverado
Gold Run

Time Attack gives you 6 different events where you have to set the fastest time you can. You'll want to go for Gold Medal straight away, they are much easier than in Last Years game, you will get the "Ghost Buster" trophy once you have all Golds. Just make sure you set a valid lap, otherwise it will not count.

It's About Time
Time Lord
Ghost Buster

Time Trial gives you all 19 tracks to choose from. You only need to do 10 of them for the "Mr Consistent" trophy. Just make sure to set a valid time, otherwise they will not count towards the trophy.

Squeaky Clean
Mr Consistent

Step 5 - Multiplayer:

You need to complete 50 online races to get most of the online trophies, You can get this in any online game-mode. The quickest way you can get through them is by doing sprint races. These are only 3 lap races, so will take you about 5 minutes. If you get taken out by anyone, don't rage quit, otherwise the race will not count to your tally.

Get Yourself Connected
Stay Connected
Always Connected

For the Co-Op, there is only a single trophy this year. This is winning the Drivers Or the Contructor's Championship, so you and your parter will get the trophy at the same time. So you'll only need a single playthrough. You'll want to focus on getting 1-2 finishes in every race. Or if you're feeling confident you won't end your own race, have a player drop back to take out some AI controlled cars.

If you need a partner for the Co-Op, make a visit to the Trophy Boosting Thread (Read First Post!)

Better Together

Step 6 - Misc/Clean Up:

You can use this step to pick up any trophies you might have missed.

There are only two trophies I haven't been over so far, these are the "Purist and the "A Game Of Two Halves" trophies.

The "Purist" trophy requires you to win a race with all driving aids disabled, the best track you can do this on is Austria, It's a short track and It's VERY easy to learn as there are only 8 corners. The driving aids you want for this are:

Braking Assist - Off
ABS - Off
Steering Assist - Off
Traction Control - Off
Dynamic Racing Line - Off
Gearbox - Manual
Pit Assist - Off

You also want to make sure you have the race set to 3 laps with Easy difficulty AI.

The "A Game Of Two Halves" trophy requires you to have an extra controller. If you own a PS4 controller, that will work, but it has to be a wired connection to your PS3.

The settings you want for Split Screen are:

Race Distance - 3 laps
AI Drivers - Off

This will just be the cars or track so drive around how you want.

50 trophies ( 40  )

  • Acquire every Trophy in F1® 2014.

This trophy will pop as soon as you have obtained every other trophy in the game.

Congratulations on your shiny new Platinum!

  • Complete the Evaluation Test.

The Evaluation Test replaces the Young Drivers Test from the previous games. This puts you into a single lap around Monza against 5 AI cars. You will be put into it as soon as you start up the game for the first time. If you want to retry at a later time, you can select it from the Career option in the Main Menu.

All you have to do is complete it, and the trophy will pop when you continue back to the Main Menu.

I recommend doing this alongside the "Hardcore Racer" trophy to minimise time taken.

  • Be recommended for the hardest preset Difficulty in the Evaluation Test.

For this trophy, you will need to be recommended the "Very Hard" difficulty after completing the "Evaluation Test"

To do this you need to finish in 2nd place at the lowest on the Hard difficulty, or 3rd at the lowest on the Very Hard difficulty. If you're still struggling, you can press the button to go to "View/Edit Difficulty" from here, you can select all (or none) of the driving aids and AI difficulty you feel comfortable with.

  • Use a Flashback.

During any Single Player race, you can press the button to use a flashback. Use the and buttons to select where you want to restart, then hit to resume racing.

You must have Flashbacks turned on from the Driving aids menu, to use a flashback.

  • Perform a Mid-Session Save.

While racing in any Single Player game mode, press the button to bring up the pause menu. From here, go to the option "Mid Session Save" You wil be given two options "Save" and "Save and Exit to Main Menu" select either of these options to save, then the trophy will pop.

  • Set a valid lap time in One-Shot Qualifying.

I highly recommend doing this and the "One Shot at Glory" trophies in the Season Challenge Game Mode, as this is the default Qualifying Format.

All you have to do here is set a valid lap time at any track using the One-Shot Qualifying format. The only thing you have to watch out for it corner cutting. Cut a corner too much and it will invalidate your lap. If this happenes, simply use a flashback and have another go.

  • Take pole position in One-Shot Qualifying.

All you have to do is take Pole Position in any One-Shot Qualifying session. If you're struggling with this, you can lower the difficulty to make it a bit easier.

  • Win a race with all driver assists disabled.

This trophy is much easier than it sounds. Easiest way you can do this is in Grand Prix mode. After selecting the can and driver, make sure It's set to "Race Only" and the race distance is on 3 laps, next, select the "Difficulty Level" option. The driving options you want are...

    Braking Assist - Off
    ABS - Off
    Steering Assist - Off
    Traction Control - Off
    Dynamic Racing Line - Off
    Gearbox - Manual
    Pit Assist - Off

  • Finish a race using a custom car setup.

When you're in the Garage before you start a race, select the TV screen in the middle, and then select the little Cog icon in the bottom left. This will take you to the Car Setup screen. From here, select any option and move some of the sliders around. Start the race when you're done. The trophy will pop as soon as you've finished the race.

  • Complete a 25%+ distance race.

I recommend you get this trophy during your Career playthrough. This is because the minimum distance you can take part in is 25%. All you have to do is finish the race, you don't even have to win it. But I recommend you do to get the "Career Focused trophy

  • Finish a race at every circuit.

There are 19 tracks for you to race on. Simply complete a race on each track for the trophy to pop. This can be done either Offline or Online.

Here's a checklist for all of the tracks in the game.

    Australian Grand Prix
    Malaysia Grand Prix
    Bahrain Grand Prix
    Chinese Grand Prix
    Spanish Grand Prix
    Monaco Grand Prix#
    Canadian Grand Prix
    Austrian Grand Prix
    British Grand Prix
    German Grand Prix
    Hungarian Grand Prix
    Belgian Grand Prix
    Italian Grand Prix
    Singapore Grand Prix
    Japanese Grand Pris
    Russian Grand Prix
    United Stated Grand Prix
    Brazilian Grand Prix
    Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

POSSIBLE BUG - Some people have reported this trophy not popping after doing all of the tracks in a Co-Op season.

  • Complete your first Season Challenge race.

Season Challenge consists of just 10 races, set at 5 laps each against the AI. All you have to do here is simply complete your first race.

  • Win your first race in Season Challenge.

All you have to do here is finish a race in Season Challenge in 1st place.

  • Pass all of your objectives over a race weekend in Season Challenge.

During Season Challenge, you're given certain objectives to meet for each race. These objectives involve you having to achieve a certain position in Qualifying and the Race, and having to beat your rival. You can see your target positions in the top left of the screen while on track. Achieve these all in the same event and the trophy will pop.

  • Beat your first rival in Season Challenge.

    See "Domination"

  • Beat four rivals in one season in Season Challenge.

When you first start the Season Challenge, you have to choose a rival. These Rival battles consist of three races, first to two wins. For this trophy you have to beat all rivals you beat 2-0 otherwise you will not be able to get the trophy "Playing The Field"(You can get away with one being 2-1) If you're new to the game, select drivers who aren't too fast.If yo're racing in the Marussia, you don't want to be selecting a Mercedes or Red Bull as your rival. Choose people who are lower down the grid, like Lotus and Sauber. If you beat a rival, youre offered a contract for that team. Keep moving along until you've beaten your first rival.

  • Stay with the same team through the whole season in Season Challenge.

All you have to do here is complete every race with the same team, so if you start with Marussia, you have to do EVERY race with that team. You can still do the Rival battles, but you cannot accept the contract offer after beating them.

  • Return to your starting team in Season Challenge.

This trophy can be obtained during the paythrough where you get the "Playing The Field" trophy, but you have to do a little trick. After you've beaten your first rival and changed team, you'll want to return to the main menu. Go to "My F1" > "Driver Information" > Driver Details. When you're there, there will be an option for turning off Autosave, turn it off, then return to Season Challenge. Once done, you will want to select a driver from your previous team as your rival. Beat them then accept the offer to go back to the team. Once the trophy pops, reset your game, then you can carry on from where you started, before choosing your previous team as a rival.

  • Race for five different teams in Season Challenge in a single season.

For this trophy, you will need to race for 5 different teams during your Season Challenge. Each Rival battle is best of three, but you will need to win 2-0 in all but 1 to have enough time to race for 5 different teams. If you're new to the game, you will want to select teams you know you can beat, and slowly move up through the ranks.

  • Complete Season Challenge.

Season Challenge consists of 10 races, all you have to do is complete all 10 races, and the trophy will pop.

  • Win the Drivers' Championship in Season Challenge.

See "Doing it The Hard Way"

  • Set the fastest lap time in every session of a long race weekend in Career.

For this trophy, you'll want to make sure you have your career set to "Long Weekend - Full Qualifying". This will give you 5 sessions (Practice, Q1, Q2, Q3 and the Race). You have to set the fastest time in all of these sessions for the trophy to pop, if you're struggling, you can either lower the difficulty, or use the Option (Faster) tyres.

  • Win the Drivers' Championship in Season Challenge on hard difficulty.

When you start your Season Challenge, you have to select the Hard Difficulty, this will have you start in either the Marussia or the Caterham. There are two different ways you can approach this trophy. You can either stay with your team for the whole season, for the "Home Sweet Home" trophy (For people who are advanced at F1 games), or move through the ranks to get to the faster teams for the "Playing The Field Trophy" (For people for are new or aren't as advanced). View the steps in the Roadmap for more details.

  • Complete your first race in Career.

Simple enough, all you have to do is complete your first race in Career, the trophy should pop shortly after complete it.

  • Win your first race in Career.

For this trophy, you'll need to finish the race in 1st position. If you're having difficulty winning a race, just lower the difficulty to suit you.

  • Take pole position in Career.

There are three different ways to can do Qualifying. The first one is One-Shot Qualifying, which is just a single lap to set the fastest lap you can. Short Qualifying, which is a single, 15 minute session. The Third Session is Full Qualifying, this is made up of three sessions, Q1 is 18 minutes, which has the slowest 6 drivers drop out. Q2 is 15 minutes, which sees the next slowest 6 drivers eliminated. The tyres you do your fastest time on are the tyres you start the race on. The final session is 12 miinutes, which sees the remaining 10 drivers go out and set the fastest time they can. Take Pole Position in any of these sessions and the trophy is yours.

  • In Career, qualify last, but finish first.

Easist way you can do this is put the game on the easiest difficulty and not set a lap in Qualifying, this will make you start last 99.99% of the time (Unless the AI get an stupidly race penalty) When the race starts, you'll want to overtake everyone. Since the race will be 25% distance, there's no rush to overtake people, just try not to hit anybody and get a penalty.

  • Move to another team mid-season in a long Career.

Once you have completed the German Grand Prix, you will recieve an offer from a team to race for them. The trophy will pop once you accept the offer. If you want to remain in your current team, then there is a little trick with the autosave you can do. From the Main Menu, Go to "My F1" > "Driver Information" > Driver Details. When you're there, there will be an option for turning off Autosave, turn it off, once you've done that, return to your career and get the trophy. Once it pops, you'll want to reset your game. When you're back in Career, you'll be back with your original team. Don't forget to turn Autosave back on.

  • Complete a Short Season in Career.

A new feature in this game sees you being able to select how long your Career is. This is split up between Short (7 races) Medium (12 races) and Long (Full 19 race calender)

All you have to do is complete a Short Career for the trophy to pop.

  • Win the Drivers’ World Championship in a Short Season Career.

The short Career consists of just 7 races. Because there are no difficulty related trophies, you can have the difficulty on whatever you want. The trophy will pop when it's impossible for you to lose the championship.

  • Complete a Medium Season in Career.

Whe you start a new Career, select the Medium Length Career, complete it for the trophy

  • Win the Drivers’ World Championship in a Medium Season Career.

Whe you start a new Career, select the Medium Length Career, complete it for the trophy

  • Complete a Full Season in Career.

The Medium Career consists of 12 races. Because there are no difficulty related trophies, you can have the difficulty on whatever you want. The trophy will pop when it's impossible for you to lose the Championship.

  • Win the Drivers’ World Championship in a Full Season Career.

Because there are no difficulty based trophies in the Career mode, you can use whatever difficulty you feel comfortable with. If you want to get it out of the way, just put the difficulty on Easy and win every race.

  • Win the Constructors' Championship in Career.

This trophy is a bit more difficult than the Drivers Championship as you also have to rely on your Team mate. I recommend you choose Mercedes if you want the easiest time getting this trophy, as your team mate is most likely finish 2nd to you every time. The trophy will pop once it's impossible for you to lose the Championship.

  • Set a clean lap time in Time Trial.

    See "Mr Consistent"

  • Set clean lap times at 10 different circuits in Time Trial.

All you need to do here is set a clean lap on 10 different tracks in the Time Trial mode (NOT Time Attack). A clean lap will be defined as not getting any corner cut warnings and staying on track for the whole run. Simply cruise around the track and as soon as you've completed a lap, pause the game and select "Quit To Main Menu" You can then continue and select another track. Keep doing this until the trophy pops.

  • Set a time in any Time Attack scenario.

    See "Ghost Buster"

  • Set a time in all of the Time Attack scenarios.

    See "Ghost Buster"

  • Earn a Gold medal in all of the Time Attack scenarios.

For this part of the game you have to set a lap time within a time limit to achieve either a bronze/silver/gold medal. In this part there are 3 trophies up for grabs. The first 2, "It's About Time" and [b]"Time Lord" will automatically be achieves by setting 1 lap at each track regardless of your pace. The 3rd trophy, "Ghost Buster" is skill dependent. It is awarded for achieving gold medals at each of the time attack tracks.

Not to worry though, it is a relatively low skill level required in order to set the times you need and there are no fancy car setups to complicate matters as you can only race in the stock cars with the default setups given. Assists do not affect trophies in this section so I recommend to use whatever assists you feel comfortable with. I was able to do these with all gold's in about 20 minutes but you can redo these as many times as you have to. Below are some clips with some individual driving tips to help if you are having trouble at any given track.

    Time Attack 1 - Interlagos - Brazil

    F1 2014 - Time Attack 1 - Brazil

For this time attack you are driving a Williams around Interlagos. This is a decent car with good straight line speed. You will want to concentrate on exit speed out of turns 2/3 and also the last left hander leading up the hill back to the pit straight. For those not privy to the jargon, exit speed means taking a slower entry into a corner allowing you to get on the throttle earlier and be faster down the straights.

In general, slow in and fast out applies to most corners in an F1 car so its worth trying to perfect this technique. One other tip is that with racing line enabled, if you enter a corner and drift off the racing line to the outside of the corner, you have carried too much speed into the corner and it would be faster to take a slower approach into that corner to allow you to get on the throttle earlier.

On the other side, if when you enter a corner and you drift off the racing line to the inside of the corner, chances are you could have carried a bit more speed into the corner so next time try braking slightly later and a bit less whilst turning in on the racing line... but don't let exit speed be sacrificed for entry speed especially if the corner leads onto a straight. Its nearly always quicker to be slower in, faster out. You should have got the It's About Time trophy after this time attack if you hadn't got it already. You will want to try getting golds in all the time attacks for the Ghost Buster trophy. I recommend sticking to a track until you get a gold so you can get used to your braking points etc if you are having trouble.

Time Attack 2 - Yas Marina - Abu Dhabi

For this time attack you are driving a Ferrari around the Yas Marina circuit. The car handles well around this track so the difficulty level shouldn't be too high. This circuit is very much a "slow in, fast out" track. Much more so than the previous time attack. You will want to concentrate on getting decent exits onto the two long straights. This is considerably easier with traction control set to medium if you are struggling with wheel spin. The other half of the track is an assortment of medium/slow corners. Just concentrate on getting the car into the corners without over doing it on the accelerator. Stick to the racing line and remember that being smooth through sector 3 is usually quickest.... there's not much time to be gained by over attacking the corners compared with the time that can be lost by making mistakes.

    Time Attack 3 - Sochi - Russia

For this time attack you are driving a Toro Rosso around the new Sochi Autodrome in Russia. I will admit that until this time attack I had never driven around this track so the lap wasn't pretty... but on the other hand my first attempt was good enough for gold... which tells us that it's not too difficult. I only had a vague idea of whether the next corner was left/right and whether they were fast/medium/slow corners. All I did was stick to the racing line like glue and be aware of the cars limitations. This car is slower and more difficult to drive than the previous two, so just factor that in by taking it easier through the corners. Towards the end of my lap I made quite a big mistake and misjudged a hairpin for a 90 degree corner. I was able to still get the car slowed down within the track limits and still get back to the start within gold medal time... so there is plenty of leeway here... just take it easy and there should be no problems.

Time Attack 4 - Bahrain International Circuit - Bahrain

This time attack is around Bahrain in a McLaren. The car handling is good enough so it shouldn't cause many problems. One of the secrets around Bahrain is to get good traction out of the slow corners. This is particularly hard at Bahrain because most of the traction zones aren't in straight lines. This makes it easy to lose control of the rear and lose a lot of time. If you are having trouble with this I recommend turning traction control to medium and it will be considerably easier to get on the power. Another tip around Bahrain is that in the 2nd half of the lap you want to try and avoid understeer. You can afford to take a slightly earlier apex and attack the apex curbs for quicker lap times. If you are struggling with lap times, in all likelihood you are trying to carry too much speed into the corners and losing too much time through understeer. Take it easier and the times should come.

Time Attack 5 - Red Bull Ring - Austria

This time attack is around the Red Bull Ring in a Red Bull. You wont have any problems with the handling here. A few tips for good lap times would be to be aware of gradient. Some corners are uphill like turn 1 which means you can brake ridiculously late into these corners and still make the apexes. The middle to end part of the lap combine long sweeping corners which require a "fast in approach" which is the opposite to what I have described previously. Basically you want to take speed into the corner and carry it for as long as you can through a corner. If you have racing line enabled it is a case of taking as much speed through the long sweeping corners as you can without understeering to the outside of the track. You can really attack some of these corners and that is the reason why it is a lot of fun. Just be aware that 1 or 2 corners are off camber which means they are trickier and slower than they look.

    Time Attack 6 - Sepang - Malaysia

This one is in the wet and it is in a Caterham. Judging by the conditions and the car choice, this time attack is supposed to be the hardest and on paper it is. However it shouldn't pose many problems. Turning traction control to medium will help drastically. You will still need to be disciplined on the throttle as you want to avoid the car bogging down in the traction zones. You also have to remember you are driving a Caterham which is the worst handling car in the game. Many corners you would normally be able to take flat out you have to lift off the throttle or even brake slightly. There is no risk or reward here, just take it easy, be gentle on the throttle and stick to the racing line. If you drift off the racing line, in all likelihood you are trying to go too fast. Take it easy and get the car to the end. Cut out the amateur dramatics for faster lap times. After completing the lap you should have at least got the Time Lord trophy for setting a lap time at each of the time attack tracks... and hopefully the Ghost Buster trophy for getting golds at all tracks.

Here is the full unedited video of me doing the time attacks in 1 attempt. I uploaded this in order to show how quickly this can be done if you can grasp the fundamentals I have described above. This video comes complete with a failed Abu Dhabi attempt where I out braked myself and invalidated the lap. It just goes to show that you can lose it if you push too hard. I slowed down the very next lap and went quicker. The biggest mistake I see in casual racers and even some seasoned pros is being guilty of over driving the car, arriving too hot into corners will murder your lap times.... unless you are really good (and lets face it, you don't have to be to do these), leave a bit of time in your locker and just be smooth.

    F1 2014 - All Time Attack Golds - YouTube

  • Earn a medal in Scenario Mode.

You will get this trophy as soon as you've obtained your first bronze, silver or gold medal in any Scenario.

Thanks to incredible-bulk for writing the Time Attack and the videos, and thanks to Dr.HelmutMarko for giving me permission to use it.

  • Earn every Bronze medal in the very easy set in Scenario Mode.

There are 5 Scenarios in the Very Easy set you need to complete, you can only get bronze medals in these.

    Scenario 1 - Australia
This Scenario sees you chasing down Sebastian Vettel for a podium. This one is simple enough to beat as the AI drive pretty slow. You have 2 laps to overtake him for 3rd place. All you have to do is make sure you don't make any contact when you overtake.

    Scenario 2 - Spain
This Scenario sees you defending the lead from Fernando Alonso. You have 3 laps to keep him behind you, if you find him catching up to you, make sure you cover the inside of a corner, this will prevent him from overtaking you down the inside by forcing him to the outside line.

    Scenario 3 - Canada
This Scenario sees you start down in 5th place and requires you to take a podium. You have 3 laps to gain the positions needed, but you're gifted a position at the start because Lewis Hamilton retires from an engine failure, so you only need to overtake one car for the objective. It's very easy to get a penalty for corner cutting on this track, this will give you a 10 second penalty, so try not to go off track at all.

    Scenario 4 - Austria
This Scenario sees you down in 3rd place after a mistake, you have 4 laps to take the lead to complete the Scenario. This is the first Wet Scenario, so watch the traction coming out of some corners, otherwise you'll spin out, you have some extra fuel in this, so put your fuel mix up to rich and you'll be able to go a bit quicker on the straights.

    Scenario 5 - Bahrain
This Scenario sees you in 7th place, but you only need to gain a single position in 2 and a half laps. The only problem you have here is that you have to lap some cars, they normally get out of your way on the straights, but on some corners, they like to park the car in the middle of the corner, so watch out for this.

  • Earn every Bronze medal in the easy set in Scenario Mode.

There are 5 Scenarios in the Easy set you need to complete, you can only get bronze medals in these.

    Scenario 1 - Germany

This Scenario sees you in 4th place after the Red Bulls have a coming together. You have 3 laps to try and take 3rd place. The AI are a little bit quicker in these Scenarios, but you should have no trouble catching them, unless you have every single assist on.

    Scenario 2 - Brazil

This Scenario sees you in 2nd, the important thing about this Scenario is that you start on -1 lap of fuel, so you HAVE to put the engine mode on lean to reach the end of the race. To do this, you have to press and button on the D-Pad to bring up a mini-menu, then to select fuel mode, then to put it on lean. If you're using manual gears, then also change gear when the lights in the bottom right go purple. To find out how much you have, press the button three time. Once it says "Optimal" you can put the fuel mix back on standard (Any D-Pad button, then then

    Scenario 3 - China

This Scenario is the first one where you have a standing start on the grid, you start down in 7th and you have to finish in 5th at the lowest. This is in fact, very easy. The AI always go pretty slow in the first corner, so you should have no problem gaining a few positions at the start, I recommend you take the outside line in turn 1, this will allow you to go around the outside of the AI, and gives you the inside for turn 2.

    Scenario 4 - Canada

This is another Scenario where you have to pass a single car, but you only have 2 laps to do it. Like in the previous Scenario in Canada, try and avoid cutting corners to make sure you don't get a 10 second penalty.

    Scenario 5 Hungary

This Scenario sees you start the race in 1st place. You only have to defend your position from a single car, but you have to navigate around a few back-marker teams. They normally let you past on the straights by pulling over, but if you catch then in sector 2, they'll normally park their car on the apex, leaving you to go around the outside. Make sure you notice when this is going to happen and try and avoid hitting them.

  • Earn every Silver medal in Scenario Mode.

You can only achieve Silver Medals in the Medium category of the Scenarios. This Scenario set consists of 5 races.

    Scenario 1 - USA

This Scenario sees you start the race in 6th place and under the safety car. You need to finish in 3rd place to complete it. While under Safety car conditions, you'll want to put your car into the lean fuel mode () as there is no overtaking and your speed is limited. Before you go around the final corner, you'll weant to put your car onto rich, so your car's at it's fastest (). Because this track has long straights, you'll want to make use on the slipstream, this means you have to be directly behind the car in front on a straight, this will make your car faster than the car in front in a straight line. If you keep it in rich, you'll want to keep an eye on your fuel levels (). Once it says Optimal, put your car into the Standard fuel mix ().

    Scenario 2 - Russia

This is another Wet Scenario. You start the race in front of a group of cars, but without a front wing. This means you will not be able to corner as fast, don't try and take the corners like you normally do, or you will go off track and get slowed down even more. Once you near the end of the lap, you will want to stick to the right hand side of the track to get to the pit lane (Follow the blue line if you're using the racing line). Make sure you brake for the first part as It's quite tight. Once you have your new wing you'll want to push to catch up to the cars that passed you. You'll need to overtake the three cars in front of you to complete the Scenario, make use of the rich fuel mix if you need to.

    Scenario 3 - Belgium

This Scenario sees you down in 14th place, with one of the slowest cars on the grid, but to complete the Scenario, you only need to overtake a single car, which is the other slowest car on the grid. When you start, you'll be around 10 seconds behind him. You have 4 laps to catch and overtake him. Belgium is the longest track in the game, so you've got plenty of time to make your move.

    Scenario 4 - Italy

This Scenario could be the most challenging one so far if you're not used to F1 games. It sees you start down in 6th place, and you have to win the race to complete the Scanario. At the start, Vettel will have an engine failure, so that will promote you up to 5th place. You have enough fuel to have the car in rich for the whole race, so you don't need to worry about that. Make big use of slipstreaming around this track, that will really help you overtake cars. If you're stil slightly behind on the start/finish straight, try your luck at just out-braking the car infront, this means you'll want to hit your brakes just after the car infront does, so you can get ahead. Just try not to make any contact, otherwise you might get a penalty.

    Scenario 5 - Abu Dhabi

This Scenario is the longest one so far. You start the race down in 15th place and you have to finish in 11th to complete the Scenario. You have 5 laps to catch and pass all cars infront of you. You need to drive a fast as you can, but without leaving the track if you want to win this Scenario. Be careful of corner cuts on this track, as it's pretty easy to do. When you catch up to a car. You want to overtake whenever you can, either by slipstream, out-braking or DRS ()

  • Earn every Gold medal in Scenario Mode.

You can only achieve Gold Medals in the Hard category of the Scenarios. This Scenario set consists of 5 races.

    Scenario 1 - Malaysia

These Scenarios are where things start to get tough.

This Scenario sees you start the race in 2nd place with 5 laps remaining. At the start, you will notice that all of the AI drivers pit in for Full-Wet tyres, DO NOT, follow them in, you have to finish the race on the Intermediate tyres (The Green striped tyre you start on) For the first couple of laps, you'll want to focus on just keeping your car on track, as your tyres will not suit the conditions. Alonso will be catching up pretty quickly for the first few laps, but don't worry if he gets past, near around lap 54, the conditions will start coming back your way, this will mean you can go quicker. You should be quicker than Alonso at this point so you shouldn't have any issues keeping him behind (Or overtaking if he got past).

    Scenario 2 - Hungary

This Scenario sees you start in 8th place, but with a damaged front wing, this means you won't be able to corner as fast as you normally can. You'll need to defend your position from the car behind if you want to complete the Scenario. He WILL catch up in the middle sector, having a damaged front wing will really slow you up in the twisty corners. Because of how those corners are, he shouldnn't be able to get past. You need to be careful on the final corner, if you go too wide, he'll be able to go down your inside, so take it as tight as you can (avoiding the pitnwall) to prevent him getting past. He will have DRS on the start/finish straight, so make you take the inside line and out-brake him.

    Scenario 3 - Britain

This is a pretty challenging Scenario. You start the race in 7th on lap 46. Whe you reach the pit-lane, all of the AI drivers in front of you will pit in for dry tyres. You have to stay out and finish the race in 4th at the lowest. On a dry track, you're Intermediete tyres will start overheating, this means you won't be able to corner as fast and there's a chance you can spin out when applying the throttle. Don't worry about the car in 1st place, you will not be catching him. Just focus on keeping the car on track, the AI will be catching you for the entire race, so you can't afford to make any big mistakes.

    Scenario 4 - Singapore

This Scenario is a fairly easy one. You start the race from a standing start in 7th place, you need to finish in 3rd to complete the Scenario. Being on the Option tyres (the faster tyres) you will have the advantage on some of of the cars who are on the prime tyres (the slower tyres) You'll want to gain as many positions as you can in the first couple of corners. Luckily, the AI always seem to go pretty slow in the first corner, so use that to your advantage. You have to be careful around this track, as it's a street circuit, you will be getting very close to walls. Make sure you don't hit any as there's a high chance you'll have your race ended by it. Also, from the nature of some of the corners, it's easy to corner cut, make sure you avoid this, otherwise you'll end up with a penalty.

    Scenario 5 - Japan

This is the longest Scenario in the entire game, it will set you back at least 20 minutes.

You will start the Scenario all the way down in 17th place and you have to win the race to complete the Scenario. With you starting on the Prime tyre and everyone else on Intermediete tyres, you are at a MASSIVE disadvantage, it's definitely not impossible though. Spend the first few laps keeping the car on the track, be very careful on traction, or you will spin out. Don't worry about any cars that overtake you. When you reach lap 4, the track will start drying out, which means you will have the advantage on the AI, the track will keep getting faster and faster for you, the AI will pit in for dry tyres at the end of lap 4. use this time to push like mad and get ahead of the AI, if you did well enough when the track was wet and drying out, you should find yourself in the lead, if not, then put your car into rich and push to take the win.

  • Complete a race in Split Screen.

    Requires second controller

From the Main Menu, select the Multiplayer option, from here select the Split Screen option. You will need to activate your second controller and press the button on it. All you have to do is complete a single race. The settings I recommend for this are:

    Race Distance - 3 laps
    AI Drivers - Off

This will just leave you with two cars on track, the trophy will pop as soon as you've finsihed the race.

  • Complete your first race online.

    See "Always Connected"

  • Complete 25 online races.

    See "Always Connected"

  • Complete 50 online races.

All you have to do here is complete 50 Online races. This can be done in any online game mode. For the quickest time getting this trophy, I recommend you doing this in Sprint Mode Lobbies, these are only 3 lap races on random tracks, each race lasts around 5 minutes. All you need to do is finish, so if you get taken out (common) just keep going, if you quit, it will not count.

  • Win the Drivers' or Constructors' Championship in Co-op.

Unlike the previous F1 games, there is only a single trophy for Co-Op this year. This means it will only take you a single playthrough, instead of two.

For the trophy, I recommend focusing on the Constructors side of it. You will want to be focusing on getting as many 1-2 finishes as possible. You can also have a player take out the closest competition in the standings, so they score as little points as possible. But focus on getting the full 43 points.

The settings I recommend to make the trophy as eashy as possible are:

Participation Level - Short Weekend - One-Shot Qualifying
    Race Distance - 3 laps
    AI Skill Level - Amateur
Rules and Flags - Corner Cutting Only
    Parc Ferme - Any
Car Damage Simulation - Visual Only (Or full if you want to take cars out, and confident you won't end your own race)
Driving Assists - Whatever you're comfortable with

The trophy should pop once It's Mathematically impossible for you to lose the Championship.

If you need a Co-Op partner to do the trophy with, head on over to the Trophy Boosting Thread.
