Introduction: Exist archive is a very traditional JRPG meaning repetitive dungeons, grinding turn based combat and very story focused. I personally very much enjoyed this game. Combat was fun, dungeon exploring was fun although the dungeons could have been more diverse, but most of all I enjoyed the story. It had a really decent and diverse character list with their own unique personality and interesting history.
Trophy wise, it's also very traditional JRPG as it's not that hard but rather grindy. For the platinum ,you will need to play through the game 4 times, however using save management, you don't have to replay the full game only certain short parts. The 3 other endings apart from the "main" one will only take a total of 5-10 hours if you just run through it.
Road to platinum and missables guide: Its possible to plat this game in one playthrough making use of backup saves. Without them, you're looking at 4 playthroughs. You can follow these steps to get all the endings this way.
Step 1: Play and enjoy the game up until chapter 10 which is called Kanata's Decision. Along the way, you are going to pick up 2 black essence crystals as part of the story. You can turn these in to Amatsume. ONLY turn in 1 for now. This will unlock greed mode and not harm the endings in any way. DON'T turn in the second as it will lock you into one ending. When you get to chapter 10 make a bunch of back up saves. You need at least 4 however I would recommend a couple more just to be on the safe side. Rather safe than sorry.
Step 2: You can go about this in a different order of course, however for comfort's sake I'm gonna go in the order I did it. For chapter 10, you are gonna have 3 options. For now pick the first or second answer. Continue playing the game until you get to the dungeon called AMETHYST REACTOR. Don't complete it. Instead make a couple of more back up saves (at least 2). Now turn in the second black essence crystal continue playing and complete the game. First ending completed and make sure to make a post game save. Now you can continue post game to complete the rest of the trophies except for the ending ones or do the ending ones first. Also, just on a short note the reason you want this as your "main" ending is that there is a speedrun that you can only unlock in this ending.
Step 3: For the other ending, you will want to reload the save before amethyst reactor. Now DON'T turn in the second black essence crystal. Now complete the game while sending everyone or sending no one home. No need to make a post game save this time unless you want of course.
Step 4: Now reload the save before amethyst reactor again and complete the game while making the opposite decision regarding sending everyone or sending no one, so for example if you already send everyone for the last ending, now send no one.
Step 5: And now for the final ending reload chapter 10 backup save and pick the third choice/answer. DON'T turn in the second black essence crystal. Complete the game.
If you're looking for more general gameplay tips I've created a thread for that which you can find below.
Also here is a link to my thread regarding the road to platinum and how to make sure not to miss out on any trophies.
Credits: I want to give credits to the gamefaq user Arrawnt who made the original ending guide on gamefaqs. This ending guide however showed how to get the endings in 2 playthroughs and the requirements only. Ive made my own guide now for how to do it in one playthrough.
I also want to give credit to whoever made the map guide on toteneko.com. I don't speak Japanese however, so I can't name the person behind it, but it's safe to say I wouldn't have plat the game without it as the dungeons are extremely confusing and many item pods are well hidden in the environment making the 100 % exploring trophy a pain without the maps.
