Introduction: Exist archive is a very traditional JRPG meaning repetitive dungeons, grinding turn based combat and very story focused. I personally very much enjoyed this game. Combat was fun, dungeon exploring was fun although the dungeons could have been more diverse, but most of all I enjoyed the story. It had a really decent and diverse character list with their own unique personality and interesting history.

Trophy wise, it's also very traditional JRPG as it's not that hard but rather grindy. For the platinum ,you will need to play through the game 4 times, however using save management, you don't have to replay the full game only certain short parts. The 3 other endings apart from the "main" one will only take a total of 5-10 hours if you just run through it.

Road to platinum and missables guide: Its possible to plat this game in one playthrough making use of backup saves. Without them, you're looking at 4 playthroughs. You can follow these steps to get all the endings this way.

Step 1: Play and enjoy the game up until chapter 10 which is called Kanata's Decision. Along the way, you are going to pick up 2 black essence crystals as part of the story. You can turn these in to Amatsume. ONLY turn in 1 for now. This will unlock greed mode and not harm the endings in any way. DON'T turn in the second as it will lock you into one ending. When you get to chapter 10 make a bunch of back up saves. You need at least 4 however I would recommend a couple more just to be on the safe side. Rather safe than sorry.

Step 2: You can go about this in a different order of course, however for comfort's sake I'm gonna go in the order I did it. For chapter 10, you are gonna have 3 options. For now pick the first or second answer. Continue playing the game until you get to the dungeon called AMETHYST REACTOR. Don't complete it. Instead make a couple of more back up saves (at least 2). Now turn in the second black essence crystal continue playing and complete the game. First ending completed and make sure to make a post game save. Now you can continue post game to complete the rest of the trophies except for the ending ones or do the ending ones first. Also, just on a short note the reason you want this as your "main" ending is that there is a speedrun that you can only unlock in this ending.

Step 3: For the other ending, you will want to reload the save before amethyst reactor. Now DON'T turn in the second black essence crystal. Now complete the game while sending everyone or sending no one home. No need to make a post game save this time unless you want of course.

Step 4: Now reload the save before amethyst reactor again and complete the game while making the opposite decision regarding sending everyone or sending no one, so for example if you already send everyone for the last ending, now send no one.

Step 5: And now for the final ending reload chapter 10 backup save and pick the third choice/answer. DON'T turn in the second black essence crystal. Complete the game.

If you're looking for more general gameplay tips I've created a thread for that which you can find below.

Also here is a link to my thread regarding the road to platinum and how to make sure not to miss out on any trophies.

Credits: I want to give credits to the gamefaq user Arrawnt who made the original ending guide on gamefaqs. This ending guide however showed how to get the endings in 2 playthroughs and the requirements only. Ive made my own guide now for how to do it in one playthrough.

https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/1793...e-sky/74469383

I also want to give credit to whoever made the map guide on toteneko.com. I don't speak Japanese however, so I can't name the person behind it, but it's safe to say I wouldn't have plat the game without it as the dungeons are extremely confusing and many item pods are well hidden in the environment making the 100 % exploring trophy a pain without the maps.

  • Collect 150+ different weapons, armors & accessories total.

Simply collect more than 150 different weapons/armors/accessories. Should come naturally. For more information and tips on collecting weapons/accessories/armors check the "item fanatic" trophy.

  • Collect 250+ different weapons, armors & accessories total.

Pretty self explanatory. Simply collect the x number of weapons/accessories/armors. Should come naturally through platinum completion. Some important notes though.

    1. You CAN sell equipment. You don't have to have them all in your possession at once.

    2. You don't actually unlock the trophies upon collecting the x number of weapons/accessories/armors but instead you have to go to the menu screen and go to collections and view "items". Only then will you unlock the trophy. Here, you can also see how you're progressing.

    3. Each dungeon has different drops. To see what the drops are, you can check the "drop info" before starting the quest and setting up party.

    4. Some enemies have a treasure chest locked at their HP bar this indicates that you have to defeat the enemies by using attacks that it is weak against. Then you will unlock that "treasure" which is something of the above. Also by chaining attacks and using greed mode, you can increase the drop rate.

  • Collect all LV 1 rewards from Speed Run.

Complete all level 1 speed runs to unlock this trophy. For tips on completing the speedruns, check the "Speed run master" trophy.

  • Collect all LV 2 rewards from Speed Run.

Complete all level 2 speed runs to unlock this trophy. For tips on completing the speedruns, check the "Speed run master" trophy.

  • Collect all LV 3 rewards from Speed Run.

Missable. To unlock one of the speedruns you have to complete the game with the eternity of time ending, which if you only want to do this in one playthrough have to be your primary ending. The speedruns are basically boss battles that you have to complete within a certain time and they are accessible on the menu screen. Most of them will be locked from the start only containing a bunch of question marks, but as you progress through the game, you will eventually unlock all of them.

These might seem hard at first, but if you follow the grim reaper build from my tips and tricks thread you should have no problem with these. I usually had around 5-6 left to complete this for the level 3 requirements and they were in no way a perfect run. Don't be afraid of using items also. It might seem like a waste of time but as i said there's plenty to go on here.

Most of these you can complete with ease by using the grim reaper build but there are 3 trickier ones. I've made a guide for them that you can check here:

    https://www.playstationtrophies.org/f...ml#post5960066

  • Earn a 100% exploration rate in 10+ different dungeons.

Unlocks once you have exploration rate 100 % in more than 10 different dungeons. For tips on how to get 100 % exploration rate in dungeons, check the "Legendary explorer" trophy.

  • Earn a 100% exploration rate in 20+ different dungeons.

Unlocks once you have exploration rate 100 % in more than 20 different dungeons. For tips on how to get 100 % exploration rate in dungeons, check the "Legendary explorer" trophy.

  • Earn a 100% exploration rate in all dungeons.

For these three trophies you need to earn a 100% exploration rate in all of the games dungeons. This means uncovering all blind spots on the map as well as collecting ALL item pods. As you progress in the game, you will earn more field abilities like double jump, sliding and air dash. This means you can't actually 100 % the maps until late in the game. Best is to save this for post game or wait until chapter 10-11 as you will have all necessary skills at that point. By pressing , you can see the dungeon map. This however doesn't show any pods or where you need to uncover parts of the map however. To help with this you can use the guide below. It's in Japanese but the dungeons are in the same order as they are in the game. For example in the game the first dungeon map is sunlit forest. In the guide the first map below the blue bar is the same. And so on.

I have now updated with a direct link to each dungeon so you don't have to worry about finding the dungeon in the Japanese text guide.

  • Clear all difficulty levels in 10+ different dungeons.

Unlocks once you have completed all difficulty levels in more than 10 different levels. The last difficulty level doesn't unlock until you are in post game/after the ending. For more tips, check the "Legendary adventurer" trophy.

  • Clear all difficulty levels in 20+ different dungeons.

Unlocks once you have completed all difficulty levels in more than 20 different levels. The last difficulty level doesn't unlock until you are in post game/after the ending. For more tips, check the "Legendary adventurer" trophy.

  • Clear all difficulty levels in all dungeons.

After completing the story events in a dungeon you will be able to do a free quest. These have 3 difficulty levels. 1/2/3. I've read somewhere that you only need to complete number three. I can't confirm this however as i did all three of them. Note however, that free quest 3 doesn't unlock until post game, so you can't actually earn the trophy until you are in post game.

  • Save up 100,000AMP.

For this trophy you will need to have earned 100 000 amp. You don't need it all at once but rather as lifetimes earnings throughout the game. For tips on how to farm AMP check the "Rockefeller, Carneige and YOU" trophy.

  • Save up 500,000AMP.

For this trophy you will need to have earned 500 000 amp. You don't need it all at once but rather as lifetimes earnings throughout the game. For tips on how to farm AMP check the "Rockefeller, Carneige and YOU" trophy

  • Save up 1,000,000AMP.

AMP is basically the currency in this game. You will be introduced to this a couple of hours in. You don't need to have 1 000 000 at one time but rather lifetime earnings. However, the only way to actually earn AMP is to sell your weapons/items/accessories/items. There's a very easy way to farm items however so it shouldn't be to hard. Check the tips thread for more info on this, but basically make sure to make high combos in greed mode so you get 70-80 % drop rate. You'll be loaded with weapons accessories and armors you can sell. A good place to farm 70-80% drop rate is in misty forest. Check the trophy chains master for more info on how to go about this.

  • Win a battle having completed a 30+ hit chain.

You unlock this once you have won a battle in which you completed a 30 plus hit combo. This should come naturally but if you need help with a high combo check the "Chain master" trophy.

  • Win a battle having completed a 100+ hit chain.

You unlock this once you have won a battle in which you completed a 100 plus hit combo. This should come naturally but if you need help with a high combo check the "Chain master" trophy.

  • Win a battle having completed a 300+ hit chain.

Basically hit a 300 combo in a battle you win. Very easy to do with the taskmaster. Below is a video of me getting a 500 plus chain combo. You can get a good idea on how to go about this trophy by viewing it.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWNm5_qV18s

An easy party to do this is by having suzaku and kanata taking turns attacking as fencer and taskmaster on misty forest. Pretty much a foolproof way of getting 300 chain combo. You can also choose to just end the turn as the battle begins and not use any guard on the defensive turn. This way you will automatically have 200 AP to spend on the offensive turn instead allowing for more attack actions.

  • Defeat 100+ Variants.

Unlocks once you have defeated more than 1000 variants. They are the most common enemy throughout the game and this should unlock as natural progression for the platinum.

  • Defeat 1,000+ Variants.

Unlocks once you have defeated more than 1000 variants. They are the most common enemy throughout the game and this should unlock as natural progression for the platinum.

  • Defeat 5,000+ Variants.

Defeat 5000 variants. These are together with the chasseurs the main enemies of the game. You will be defeating variants up until chapter 11 when the chasseurs will be your main enemies. I got this before completing the game so it shouldn't cause any trouble. If you for some reason would need to grind this after you have all other trophies, just go to low level dungeons and complete battles, but again you shouldn't need to.

  • Defeat 100+ Chasseur.

Defeat 100 Chasseurs will unlock through normal story progression.

  • Defeat 500+ Chasseur.

Defeat 500 Chasseurs should unlock through normal story progression. Otherwise check the "Chasseur executioner" trophy tips.

  • Defeat 1,000+ Chasseur.

You will start encountering these enemies at chapter 11 in the reactor dungeons. If you are still short of killing chasseurs, just replay the reactor dungeons and you should get it.

  • Kanata has learned all magic spells.

You need to level up all the mage classes for kanata to level 5. You will start working towards this after you get the learning ability (story related). After learning this characters will be able to pass on skills and classes to each other. You will only need to get kanata the main character all mage classes to level 5. These are Frost/Storm/flame/lightning mage

For tips on how to spend your skill points to minimize grinding, check my thread "some general tips".

  • Kanata has learned all Demon's Greed attacks.

You will get this automatically as you have sent all party members back. See the trophy "going at it alone" for more information.

  • Kanata has learned 100+ different Skills.

For this you will need to learn 100 different skills with kanata. These are "attack" "guard" "support" and "drop" skills and has nothing to do with classes. Check the skills section from the menu to see how many you have. You unlock this with skill points but also through the learning abilities. Not only can you pass on classes and their respective levels but also skills. You only need level one on the skills. There are a total of 117 in the game but you "only" need 100 of them.

Also a small note is that there are so called mix up skills. They unlock at random when you have a party consisting of certain characters in battle. Again, this page is in Japanese, but use google translate and you can easily see what characters are need for the mix up skill.

    https://totoneko.com/matome/exist/skill-support-mixup

  • Kanata has learned all Attack Skills.

For this you will need to master all non mage classes (leveling them up to level 5). They are "fencer" "Lancer" "gunner" "taskmaster" "Grenadier" "Samurai" "grim reaper" and "berserker". You will go about this in the same way as the mage classes.

  • Kanata has learned all of the party's abilities.

You will earn this trophy automatically after mastering ALL classes as well as unlocking the trophy for a 100 skill points.

  • Raise all female characters' affection for Kanata to "Love."

Raise all female characters affection to love. You will learn about affection through the story. By completing quests or trial events in free quest, they will gain affection for you. At first, it's a gray smiley and then it will go to a yellow smiley and then a orange and last it will become a heart that says love. Do this for all female characters and the trophy will unlock. You can also use items like "happy candy and "friend pebble" in battles to raise a characters affection faster. You earn these items randomly throughout the game.

  • Raise all male characters' affection for Kanata to "Best Friend."

Same as above but now with all male characters. Personally I didn't need to make the post game character to love but rather only a yellow smiley.

Secret trophies

  • Beat the game on the "Curse of Immortality" Route.

    Missable

Here i will only describe the actual conditions for unlocking this ending. For a guide on how to go about this with just one playthrough and more information on the endings, check the road map or the "Platinum in one playthrough" thread.

At chapter 10 called kanatas decision you will make a decision. You have 3 choices. Picking the first or second while NOT turning in more than 1 black essence crystal will get you this ending.

  • Beat the game on the "An Eternity of Time" Route.

    Missable

Here i will only describe the actual conditions for unlocking this ending. For a guide on how to go about this with just one playthrough and more information on the endings check the road map or the "Platinum in one playthrough" thread.

To get this ending you will need to turn in the 2 black essence crystals you will get through completing story events. It will then automatically give you this ending.

  • Beat the game on the "Dark God Kanata" Route.

    Missable

Here I will only describe the actual conditions for unlocking this ending. For a guide on how to go about this with just one playthrough and more information on the endings, check the road map or the "Platinum in one playthrough" thread.

When you get to chapter 10 called Kanata's Decision, you will get three choices. By picking the third choice while not turning in more than 1 black essence crystal, you will get this ending.

  • Beat the game having sent all party members back to Earth.

    Missable

When you choose the first or second answer in chapter 10 Kanata's Decision you will get the opportunity to send characters. (if you make the second choice you have to go to Amatsume to "report decision" to get this). Simply send ALL of them back to earth to get this trophy while completing the game. This means you have to complete the game with just one character. This sounds harder than it is though as that character will gain extra stats for every character you send. Mix that with the reaper build mentioned in the tips thread you will breeze through the game anyway. You can also wait until the last moment in chapter 11 before doing this minimizing the amount of time you will have to play with just one character.

And again I would suggest reading the roadmap or the thread "Platinum in one playthrough" for more information how to tackle this trophy.

  • Beat the game having sent no party members back to Earth.

    Missable

Same as above only this time send NONE back.

And again i would suggest reading the roadmap or the thread "Platinum in one playthrough" for more information how to tackle this trophy.

  • Have Rejected Kanata and Rejected Ranze join your party.

After completing the game, you will unlock post game dungeon "Protolexa Depths" and the quest "perhaps they are" complete this same quest 4 times to unlock the 2 characters to join your party and unlocking the trophy.

  • Have Kagato join your party.

Same as above but you will only need to complete the quest 3 times, so you will unlock this first.

  • Defeat Yamatoga.

You can defeat Yamatoga in the post game dungeon Protolexa Depths. Make sure you destroy all his parts before you bring his hp down since he will just regenerate his health otherwise. Again, the reaper build with a decent level/skills/accessories will make it a cake walk.
