Introduction:

Looks like evil caught up to you too, eh? Don't worry, I've tangled with a few Deadites in my day. Just stick with me, and you'll be just fine. Remember to shoot first and think later. Or rather... don't think at all. Actually, shoot first and think never.

Welcome to Evil Dead: The Game! Ash and the gang are back to kick some Deadite ass, and they've brought along some old, familiar faces too! Don't wanna be a hero? Then you can harbor destruction as evil by playing as a Kandarian Demon and ushering in the end of the world. This game is an asymmetrical multiplayer online game akin to those like Evolve, Dead by Daylight, etc. The game is very fun whether you choose to be a survivor or demon, and can be a blast to play with others. Fans of the series will also have a great time seeing all the references located in the maps to the actual dialogue of the characters themselves. In terms of trophies, nothing is too complicated, but you are looking at a fair amount of grinding. Things like 30 wins as a survivor, 30 wins as a demon, and reaching max user level will likely be the biggest obstacles. However, if you just continue to play the game, everything will come with time. While the game is not as fine tuned as something like Dead by Daylight, it is still a very fun experience that I highly recommend, even to those who may have never seen anything related to Evil Dead.

Walkthrough:

Step 0: Play through the missions

This step is not necessarily needed, but it is something you can do to get better acquainted with the game. As of this writing, there are 5 missions that are done in single player. The game requires online, but these missions are solo. Doing these missions will help you learn the game's mechanics a bit more than the tutorial does, and will also unlock extra characters. The extra characters are technically required for certain trophies, but this can be bypassed by having your teammates use those characters, and you select the one you need among the starting characters provided.

Step 1: Play the game as both Survivor and Kandarian Demon

As this is an online multiplayer game, it is a bit hard to recommend anything over than "just play". Honestly, you're going to unlock a lot of the trophies as you play, if not all of them. They're very simple things to do that just come with time. You will need to play as both Suvivor and Kandarian Demon in order to acquire all of the trophies. Playing will net you experience in order to upgrade your characters for the associated trophies, and will net you user experience to eventually reach max user level. You get reduced experience from playing the solo modes like AI vs Demon and Private Matches, so I highly recommend playing Public Matches.

Step 2: Cleanup using Private Matches

If, for whatever reason, there was something you did not earn as you made your way to max user level, you can use Private Matches to earn anything left. Private Matches allow trophies to be earned, so it's a great way to easily boost specific trophies you need. You will need at least 1 other friend to start up a match sicne 1 person needs to be Survivor, and 1 person needs to be Demon. See the boosting thread (LINK) for help finding partners. Use this mode to cleanup anything you are missing, and then you are all done!

45 trophies ( 15  28  11  )

  • Collect all trophies

Congratulations! You earned the platinum and showed that the Mettle of Man is greater than evil. You know, you just might be a Jefe yourself. Now relax and have an ice cold Shemps! Remember, don't think, just drink.
  • Kill 500 Evil basic units

This trophy is earned as Survivor.

You will obtain this after killing 500 of the basic enemies you come across. These enemies are summoned constantly and commonly run after you during the match, so you should not have trouble with this. It will come as you play.
  • Kill 50 demon elite units

This trophy is earned as Survivor.

This trophy is for killing the elite enemies which include Elite Deadites, Demi-Eligos, and Elite Skeletons. These enemies have more health, deal more damage, and have various abilities to attack with. These are not as common as basic units, but they are still found somewhat frequently throughout matches if the Demon is doing their job and summoning whatever they can. You should obtain this naturally.
  • Kill 10 boss units

Refer to Boss of Bosses trophy_silver.png .
  • Perform 10 special attacks

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

When you deplete an enemy balance bar, the enemy will be open to a special attack. This is indicated by a r3.png appearing over the enemy's head. Press r3.png to perform a special attack that will heavily damage an enemy. Do this 10 times, and this trophy is yours. You will no doubt earn this naturally.
  • Perform 100 finishers

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

Finishers are the same as special attacks, but they will instead kill off the enemy when performed. Like a special attack, you can perform a finisher when a r3.png appears over the enemy's head. A finisher is indicated by r3.png and a skull icon as opposed to the r3.png icon by itself. Finishers are a common way to kill enemies while remaining safe, so you will likely earn this naturally.
  • Revive an incapacitated teammate 30 times

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

When you or a teammate run out of health when being attacked, you will fall to the ground and start bleeding out. For this trophy, you must go to a downed teammate and hold triangle.png to revive them. You will know if you got credit because you will receive a notification that says you revived someone. Just try to rush to teammates' aid when you see them go down and you'll get this in no time.
  • Resurrect 10 teammate's souls at an altar

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

When a teammate completely bleeds out, they will die and you will be able to pick up their soul. After you pick up their soul, you need to go to an altar which will be marked in a blue circle on your HUD after picking up a soul. Altars on your map will also be highlighted in red. This will require some effort since there's a good chance the demon will be coming after you while you're trying to resurrect someone. Just try to be quick about it. Once you see a teammate(s) die, quickly grab their soul(s) and head to an altar to resurrect them by holding triangle.png. You can resurrect multiple teammates in a single action as long as you are carrying all of their souls.
  • Successfully collect 20 Lost Pages

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

When playing as a survivor the first goal is to collect 3 lost pages of the Necronomicon. For this trophy you must collect at least 20 pages throughout all of your games. This trophy should come naturally as long as you are paying attention to what areas the pages are and trying to obtain them somewaht quickly.
  • Turn on 50 light sources

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

When playing as a survivor you will find matchsticks which you can use to light specific sources which will help lower your fear. Light sources are marked on your map with a small flame symbol and have a red interaction icon when you find them. Simply light 50 of these throughout all your games to obtain this trophy. This should come naturally if you are playing smart and using light sources to manage your fear.
  • Kill 10 Deadites with a headshot

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

As you play you'll locate melee weapons and ranged weapons. For this trophy you must kill 10 Deadites by getting a headshot with your ranged weapon. Headshots deal increased damage to enemies, and headshots from any weapon usually kill basic units towards the beginning of a match. This trophy will easily come to you as you play the game.
  • Kill a Deadite with your bare hands

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

During the early levels, you'll start a match with no weapons, and only your bare hands. For this trophy, you need to kill an enemy with only your bare hands. This is easily done by starting a match and seeking out an enemy randomly on the map. You can knock this one out very quickly. Another option is to just play, then drop your melee weapon for a moment while you kill the enemy.
  • Find 300 items with the flashlight

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

You can press dpad_left.png to turn on your flashlight. Sometimes when you look around with your flashlight on, you will reveal hidden items. You'll know when you do this because you'll hear a sound effect. You should pretty much always have your flashlight on when looking for supplies, so this will come with time as you play more and more.
  • Free 10 possessed teammates

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

When a survivor's fear hits the threshold near the top, they are capable of being possessed. When that happens, they will remain possessed until the demon runs out of energy or they are damaged enough tor reduce the demon's energy. For this trophy, you need to land the final blow that frees them from possession. This will come with time since fear is commonly raised from demon actions so survivors will no doubt get possessed at some point in matches.

Your best bet is to play a Hunter or Warrior class so you can deal major damage to them once they get possessed to ensure you get the final blow. This should come with time if you are paying attention and trying to free possessed teammates.
  • Win 30 matches as a Survivor

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

This trophy will come with time. Simply win 30 times while playing as a Survivor to earn this trophy. Public or Private games will count toward this. However, I recommend just playing public games until you earn Groovy trophy_gold.png  since they reward more experience.
  • Defeat the Dark Ones

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

This trophy will come naturally as defeating the Dark Ones is the 2nd to last step needed in order to win the match. You don't need to land a killing blow or anything, simply be alive when your team depletes the 3rd health bar of the Dark Ones. You will then proceed to the final step of defending the Necronomicon, and you will also receive this trophy.
  • Kill 20 boss units

This trophy is earned as Survivor.

Boss units are the main units that control each class and are at the forefront of each Demon Army when you look at them. These include Henrietta, Eligos, and Evil Ash. This trophy requires a bit more effort because you have to be the one to land the killing blow for it to count. This can be easily done by playing as a Hunter or Warrior class who deal more damage. Use you best weaponry to take down the boss. Bosses can be summoned multiple times per match, so this should not be too difficult if you are continuously playing the game.
  • Fully upgrade 5 survivor categories using Pink F points

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

Throughout the map, you will find chests. Chests contain Pink F which are used to upgrade your character's stats like melee damage, ranged damage, health, fear, and stamina. For this trophy, you will need to collect enough Pink F to upgrade all 5 categories of your survivor. This means you will need to do a bit of searching in order to find enough chests to get enough Pink F.

It is worth mentioning that when you are on the step of obtaining the Necronomicon Page and the Kandarian Dagger, that completing each will reward you a chest after exorcizing all evil in the area. The first one you do will reward a Rare chest, the second will reward an Epic chest. Common chests (white) have 1 Pink F, Rare chests (blue) have 2, Epic chests (purple) have 3, and Legendary chests (yellow) have 4.
  • Kill 50 Deadites with a legendary weapon

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

As you play, you will encounter various weapons with different rarities. One weapon can have multiple rarities which means the weapon will have different stats. Typically, the higher the rarity, the better the weapon. For this trophy you will need to find a Legendary melee weapon or ranged weapon, then kill 50 enemies with it. This will likely come naturally as you are bound to run into a legendary weapon/chest at some point. Then, just make sure you are using that weapon to kill enemies. There are countless basic units, so you shouldn't struggle to much with actually obtaining this apart from maybe finding the weapon.
  • Unlock all of a survivor's unique skills

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

This trophy is earned after unlocking all of a survivor's unique skills which you receive at levels 10 and 25. Skills can all be viewed in the Collection menu. You begin with 2 abilities, one passive and one action (used by pressing circle.png). The other 2 are some type of upgrade to those abilities or just new abilities overall. For this trophy, you must reach level 25 to unlock the final unique ability. This also happens to be the max Survivor level, so you should also receive Hail to the king, baby trophy_silver.png  too.

Playing as a Survivor will earn you experience points as that Survivor which reward you with 1 skill point every time you level up. You will also receive spirit points which can be allocated to anyone (Survivor or Demon) by pressing triangle.png on that character's skill tree. I recommend picking one Survivor you like and staying with them until you reach maximum level; you can also dump all spirit points into them to speed this process along. However, the grind to max user level will reward you with tons of experience that you really do not need to rush this if you don't want to.
  • Reach the maximum level with a Survivor

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

The maximum survivor level at this time is 25. This means you will  receive this trophy upon hitting level 25 with any survivor. This will also unlock alongside Truly amazing trophy_silver.png .
  • Possess 50 basic units

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

When playing as a Demon, you are able to possess units at a specific cost of infernal energy. As you possess the unit, your energy will continuously drain as well. For this trophy, you must possess 50 basic units across all of your games. You'll get this naturally if you are playing as Demon because possessing units is a great way to deal more damage and fear to survivors. This is especially true for Eligos, the Puppetmaster class, since his skills buff your possessed units. You can possess any unit you are looking at by pressing l1.png if you have enough infernal energy.
  • Possess 25 elite units

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

Similar to Puppetmaster trophy_bronze.png , except you need to possess 25 elite units. Elite units are the stronger types of enemies you can summon such as Elite Deadites, Elite Skeletons, or Demi-Eligos. These units are possessed the same way as any other unit, which is by pressing l1.png. You will likely obtain this naturally while playing as demon. Make sure you unlock the ability to summon them using the points you get from your threat level. You can also max your trap ability to have Elite enemies spawn from traps.
  • Possess 10 boss units

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

Boss units are available after placing a point in the boss category with a high enough threat level. You can summon a boss by pressing l2.png and r2.png once they are unlocked and you have enough infernal energy. Summoning a boss immediately has you possess them and play as them. These are the leaders of each class and are very powerful units. They include Henrietta, Eligos, and Evil Ash. Simply summon a boss 10 times across your games to obtain this trophy. It will come naturally as boss units are the most powerful units at your disposal and you should be using them often.
  • Possess 10 Survivors

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

When Survivors fear reach a certain threshold, they can be seen through walls with their red outline and are capable of being possessed when you look at them and press l1.png. Possessing Survivors is a key way for demons to hurt other Survivors or just impede Survivor actions, so you should be doing this somewhat often. After possessing your 10th Survivor, you will earn this trophy.
  • Win 30 matches as a demon

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

Simply win 30 matches while playing as the Kandarian Demon to earn this trophy. You can do this in public games or private games. Playing as demon is probably the best way to earn experience if you know how to do it well enough. Depending on how you play and if you win, you can earn yourself a lot of points. This could somewhat reduce the grind for Groovy trophy_gold.png  if you are able to pick up on it.
  • Win a match as a demon without possessing a boss unit

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

To earn this trophy, you must win a match without ever summoning a boss unit. This is because summoning a boss unit immediately has you possess them and control them. Therefore, as you play through your match, just avoid putting threat level points into the boss category altogether. This will ensure you don't accidentally summon a boss unit, and it will also allow you to power up other things like your basic units and elite units. This isn't too difficult, but it will likely boil down to the group of survivors you play against. Overall though, you should not have too much trouble with this as you get the hang of playing demon.
  • Possess a tree and hit two Survivors at once

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

You are able to possess specific trees by looking and them and pressing l1.png. You can then press r1.png to swing yourself and hit nearby survivors. This will come easily as various things will put multiple Survivors near trees that can be possessed. Just make sure you keep an eye out for an opportunity to possess a tree and hit Survivors. This is also a great way to damage and inflict fear in survivors without spending too much infernal energy.
  • Kill a Survivor as a possessed survivor

This trophy has been one of the more bugged trophies. I believe it has been patched, but have not been able to completely determine that so I'm putting the warning out now.

Personally, I received this trophy after playing as a Demon, possessing a Survivor, then downing another Survivor as that possessed person. However, others have reported getting this as a Survivor by actually being the one possessed then downing another Survivor. I'm pretty sure the way I received the trophy is the intended way, but either way has had reported results. Some people have even claimed to get this trophy after reviving the Survivor that was downed by a possessed Survivor.

My suggestion is to play as Demon and try for this. You will have countless opportunities to possess Survivors and try to kill others. One of the best opportunities will be during the portion where Survivors must defeat the Dark Ones. You will get a continuous amount of infernal energy and there will be a lot of things increasing fear in Survivors and damaging them. Take advantage of the chaos to possess someone and try to down someone else.
  • Kill 10 Survivors as a boss unit

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

You can earn this by summoning a boss unit then downing 10 Survivors across all your games as demon. Boss units are your most powerful units, so chances are that you'll earn this naturally as you continue to play as the demon. If you are having trouble for some reason, I recommend Eligos since he has powerful abilities that can really pack a punch on Survivors.
  • Fully upgrade 4 categories using Infernal Upgrade Points

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

When playing as the demon you can raise your threat level which will reward you points to put into various abilities you have like your Basic Portals, Elite Portals, Demon Vision, Traps, Boss, and Possession. For this trophy, you will need enough points to fully upgrade at least 4 of the categories. You get more threat by hurting survivors, inflicting them with fear via traps, using demon dash, and other actions that hinder them. You'll likely get this naturally since you can really ramp up your threat level during the sections where you must try to prevent survivors from getting the lost page and the Kandarian Dagger. You will get this as you get more acclimated with Demon.
  • Unlock all of a demon's unique skills

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

Similar to Truly amazing trophy_silver.png, except this is done with the demons. For this trophy, you must obtain all unique skills for a Demon, which are acquired at levels 15, 25, and 45. This means you will obtain this trophy after reaching level 45 with any demon. Playing as a Demon will reward experience for that demon which will reward you skill points every time you level up. You will also receive spirit points which can be given to any character to boost them and gain experience. If you want, you can just focus on one Demon and just dump all of your points to level them up quickly and max them out.

  • Reach the maximum level with a demon

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

This is another trophy that has had bugs related to it. Most people appear to be obtaining it after winning random games or after reaching maximum threat level in a single match. I got the trophy randomly after winning a match as the Kandarian Demon. So if you don't get this as you play as Demon, just continue until you reach maximum level with a Kandarian Demon.

I believe the intended way to obtain this is by reaching level 45. which is the maximum level for Kandarian Demons.
  • Reach the maximum user level

At the time of this writing, people are reporting that this trophy is unlocking at user level 50. However, the developer has specifically stated that the maximum user level is 100. Use that information as you see fit.

User level is an overall level you get that is shared between all modes you play. As you earn experience with anyone, you will earn experience towards your user level. This will likely be the last trophy you earn since it is quite a grind to maximum user level. I would not recommend playing against AI or private matches because those give reduced amounts of experience compared to public matches. My recommendation is to just play the game and earn everything else until this is the only thing left. I have found that playing as the Kandarian Demon rewards far greater experience than Survivor does as long as you play fairly well.

Secret trophies

  • Hide Ash's hand in a chest and scare a survivor who opens it

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

When playing as the demon, the most common way you are going to scare and summon enemies is through traps you place throughout the map by holding triangle.png when near the trap marker. You can also place traps in chests that Survivors open. When placing a trap in a chest, make sure you are placing Ash's Hand when you set the trap. Then, the trophy will pop when a survivor opens the chest. A good way to do this is if you are battling survivors in an area, and you find a nearby chest, try to put a trap in it before they can find/open it. Chances are that they will open it anyway and net you the trophy.
  • Run over 50 Deadites with a car

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

You will find numerous vehicles all over the map which you can drive. For this trophy you need to drive and run over 50 Deadites across all your matches. Basic units pretty much die instantly when hit by a car so you'll get this easily if you just make sure you are running things over with your car whenever you drive.
  • Drive the Delta while playing as Ash

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

For this trophy you need to play as any Ash Williams and find the Delta. The Delta is Ash's classic car that's been with him throughout the series. It is a yellow sedan-looking type of car with a white roof. You'll likely run into it while playing matches as a survivor, so just make sure you're playing as Ash then make sure to drive the Delta when you run into it on the map. You'll likely earn this naturally as long as you're making sure to play as Ash until you earn this.
  • Honk a car's horn

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

When you drive any vehicle, you can honk the horn by pressing circle.png. Simply do this one time to earn this trophy.
  • Drive a car with all your teammates in it

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

For this trophy, you need to have all 4 survivors in the car while YOU drive it. This should not be difficult as long as you rush to a car near a recently completed objective when everyone is ready to head out. If you drive towards someone, then honk the horn, they usually get in so you can take them to the next objective. Make sure to pick up everyone and have them in the car so you can earn this trophy.
  • Finish a match with Ash (The Evil Dead), Cheryl and Scotty in your team

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

For this trophy, you need to have all characters from the original Evil Dead in your party. This includes Ash (Evil Dead), Cheryl Williams (Ash's sister), and Scotty (Ash's friend). All of these characters are available from the start and can be selected immediately. A good way to go about earning these trophies solo is that if you see 2 of the 3 needed characters selected, just go ahead and pick the last required character so you can unlock this at the end of the match.
  • Finish a match with Ash (Evil Dead 2), Annie Knowby and Ed Getley in your team

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

For this trophy, you need to have all characters from Evil Dead 2 in your party. This includes Ash (Evil Dead 2), Annie Knowby, and Ed Getley. All of these characters are available from the start and can be selected immediately. A good way to go about earning these trophies solo is that if you see 2 of the 3 needed characters selected, just go ahead and pick the last required character so you can unlock this at the end of the match.
  • Finish a match with Ash (Army of Darkness), Lord Arthur and Henry the Red in your team

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

For this trophy, you need to have all characters from Army of Darkness (3rd Evi Dead film) in your party. This includes Ash (Army of Darkness), Henry the Red, and Lord Arthur. Ash and Henry are available from the start, but Lord Arthur is unlocked by completing the 5th mission in the Mission Mode. This requirement can be bypassed by having someone else who has done the mission play as Lord Arthur, which means you can pick either Ash or Henry, then hope someone picks the other.

A good way to go about earning these trophies solo is that if you see 2 of the 3 needed characters selected, just go ahead and pick the last required character so you can unlock this at the end of the match.
  • Finish a match with Ash (Ash vs Evil Dead), Kelly and Pablo on your team

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

For this trophy, you need to have all characters from Ash VS Evil Dead (The Television series) in your party. This includes Ash (Ash VS Evil Dead), Pablo, and Kelly. Only Kelly is available at the start. Ash (Ash VS Evil Dead) and Pablo are unlocked from the Mission Mode. This means that if you do not wish to play through those, you will need 2 players to pick Ash (Ash VS Evil Dead) and Pablo so you can select Kelly for this trophy. Otherwise, you'll need to unlock them via Mission Mode and select them when composing your team.

A good way to go about earning these trophies solo is that if you see 2 of the 3 needed characters selected, just go ahead and pick the last required character so you can unlock this at the end of the match.
  • Finish a match with four Ashes on your team

This trophy is earned as a Survivor.

For this trophy, you will need to have every Ash on your team. This means you'll need Ash from Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, and Ash VS Evil Dead. Ash (Ash VS Evil Dead) is unlocked from Mission Mode so you will need to complete the related mission if you wish to select him.

A good way to go about earning these trophies solo is that if you see 2 of the 3 needed characters selected, just go ahead and pick the last required character so you can unlock this at the end of the match.
  • Run over a Survivor with a possessed car

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.

With enough infernal energy you are able to possess vehicles by pressing l1.png. This includes vehicles being driven by Survivors. When you do this, simply run into a Survivor with the vehicle you are possessing in order to earn this trophy.
