Introduction:
Welcome to Energy Invasion, a game that tries to mix game ideas such as pong, brick breaking and light twin stick shooting. The concept of this game is pretty basic. You control a horizontal platform which can bounce the orb around and any projectiles you may shoot using the orb. The orb will move around the environment and by flicking the stick, you can shoot projectiles like in a twin stick shooter. Your goal is to shoot and destroy all the bricks in the levels. You also have to try and bounce the orb back into the direction of the bricks. If the orb passes you on the bottom of the screen you die and lose a life. That's all there is to the whole game. It's pretty basic but there is some fun to be had from time to time.
The game does require some good hand eye coordination but it is fairly easy when compared to other similar games .All the trophies are simple to obtain and are earned for just completion of the game. It's got some great music in the background and some nice visuals for a budgeted indie game. A cheap, easy and quick Platinum.
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Complete Invasion Mode (Finish Layer 25)
When initially starting the game, start playing on Invasion mode. You need to complete this mode by beating all 25 layers, either on easy or normal difficulty. In this mode, you need to break all the bricks to proceed through the layers. Sometimes green enemies spawn and shoot red orbs at you. If they hit you, you die instantly so avoid them. In the later levels, the game screen goes dark and you can see outlines of bricks and your orb. This only happens for a few seconds so try your best to focus.
Once you start the mode, make sure to complete all 25 Layers, as if you quit to the main menu you will have to restart from Layer 1 all over again so keep that in mind! There are no difficulty related trophies in the game, thus you can play it on easy to get through the game without any problems. Refer to the Platinum Trophy Guide Walkthrough Thread for a video guide on all the Layers you can find in this mode: LINK
Notes:
- Changing the difficulty to easy, will stop the green enemies from shooting red orbs at you. This is the only real threat in normal difficulty but you can choose to continue after losing all of your lives and get a game over. The only real penalty for continuing from the layer you died in, is that the game docks off your built up points.
- Also, not much is known about Health Pack as multiple different people have mentioned different ways of unlocking it. Rest assured you will unlock this trophy by the time you get through the first 15 layers of any game mode. Refer
Health Pack for more information.
At the end of this Step, you should unlock:
Good Start
Interception
Intruders
Maneuver
Defense
Salvation
Health Pack
Step 2: Complete Linear Mode (Finish Layer 25)
In this step, start Linear Mode and complete all 25 layers. This is probably the hardest game mode as the bricks are not stationary in this mode. They will constantly move towards you as time goes on. Once the bricks reach you at the bottom of the screen, it's game over. You can still use Continues to reach the end of the mode and still earn all the trophies associated to this mode. As with the other game modes, you can lower the difficulty to easy, making it considerably more manageable. It has to mentioned that at later layers, the bricks do start closer to you and it gets harder to complete the levels but a couple retries and some practice will get you through.

At the end of this Step, you should unlock:
Parallelism
Linearity
Direction
Strip
Persistence
Step 3: Play Endless Mode (Finish Layer 30)
Lastly, start Endless Mode, which is truly endless! All you need to do is to complete Layer 30 to unlock all the trophies associated with Endless Mode. This is the easiest mode in the game as the bricks are far apart from you and they don't move. The game also rewards you plenty of life so you shouldn't technically run out. Again, you can lower the difficulty to easy so the green enemies don't shoot red orbs at you. This will speed the progression through Endless mode. Once you complete Layer 30, you should be done with all the trophies. You can keep going in Endless Mode but there's no real point. Either way, enjoy the easy and sweet new Platinum Trophy!
