Infinite Items Exploit (To make many trophies, much, much easier)
The end of civilization is nigh, when disease spreads all over Harran and it is up to you to find a cure before it's too late. Dying Light stars Kyle Crane, who is issued with an undercover mission: To find an important file that can possibly have answers for a cure to the infection. Only little does he know that this mission will change his perspective on what the true task holds. Explore the slums of Harran and see what dangers lie. Appreciate the daylight, as it's crucial towards the task at hand...
In terms of trophies, you're looking at a pretty average trophy list. There are no difficulty related trophies, and the platinum is pretty straight forward. You'll spend a lot of time completing story related and side quests trophies, as well as finding 67 collectibles. There are also a lot of miscellaneous trophies which take very little effort to earn. There are also 4 online trophies which can be easily boosted, with an organized group. There are also a lot of level related trophies, which should come naturally toward your Platinum run however. Earning your Platinum trophy should take no more than 40 hours.
A Techland game, would not be a Techland game without it's common glitches and bugs. Unfortunately, this is the case with this title. At this time, we recommend that you backup your save data frequently and play the game strictly offline before you attempt to earn the online trophies to reduce your chances of getting locked out of specific trophies. There is also a game breaking glitch that can cause you to get stuck near the end of the game, but only if you return to it after completing the game for the first time. This bug can also cause you to lose ALL of your progress so avoid entering the door (which is shown on the map in Old Town). For more information on this matter, refer to the link below:
WARNING: Do NOT Replay the Final Mission Through the Door on the Map
Step 1: Complete the Main Story while completing as many Random Events as you can; capture every Safe Zone.
In this first step, you will want to complete the main story line of the game. The main story takes about 10 hours to complete, and you'll also unlock 9 story related trophies in the process. During this step, it's also highly recommended to complete as many random events as you can. Random events are the blue icons that randomly spawn on your map. The reason you want to pay attention to these is because it's very easy to ignore them early on in the game, while focusing on the story. Completing as many of these as you can early on in the game will make it easier on yourself when you try to earn both the We're All In This Together and Homo Homini Lupus Est trophies during step 3 of this walkthrough.
It's worth noting that rescuing the hostages are by far, more rare than rescuing a survivor from a zombie so be absolutely sure to complete these events in Old Town whenever you have a chance. This is because Hostage events only spawn in Old town.
You will also earn various misc trophies naturally during this step, such as: the three trophies that require you to reach level 10. It's nearly impossible to complete the game before you reach level 10 on all three skills. It's also highly recommended to capture every Safe Zone before you complete the main story. The main reason is because there is no way to fast travel to other safe zones so if you die, you will restart at the closest safe zone near your last death. Not clearing safe zones can cause you to respawn at a far location. This can become quite annoying, and time consuming if it happens frequently. Not only will you be saving time during your Platinum run, but you will also earn the Now It's Safe trophy in the process. There is a way to fast travel, which makes things much easier when going for the safe zones etc. To do it, simply head to Brecken's Tower (Slums) or Troy's Tower (Old Town) and interact with the poster in each one. Doing so will fast travel you from the Slums, to Old town and vice versa.
Upon completing Step 1, you will earn the following trophies:
Is It Really Necessary?
Hush, Hush Now
Little Craftsman
Everybody Knows Kyle
Agile
Strong
Flight of the Crane
My left or your left?
Snake in the grass
Sightseeing
Making Faces
Tied loose end
Now You Can Come In
Vertigo
Now It's Safe
Bittersweet
Step 2: Complete all 8 Quarantine Zones; complete 15 Agility or Power Challenges; get 15 Relief Packages.
During this step, you're going to complete each task mentioned above. The Quarantine Zones should be completed first, as they're much easier to complete; while the 15 Challenges are much longer. Quarantine Zone locations are shown in the map with a symbol. They're only shown on your map when you "discover" them however but they can be completed at any time. For specific locations on this trophy, refer to the Trophy Guide.
The Challenges are more time consuming but they're pretty easy to complete as well. They're shown on your map with a icon for the agility ones and a
icon for the power challenges. While completing these challenges, be on the look out for Relief packages. Relief Packages will only spawn in Old Town and are marked with a
icon on your map. You're able to collect these as well in the Slums but they stop dropping through story progression, while packages in Old Town respawn even after you complete the game.
To summarize, you will want to complete these tasks in this order:
- Quarantine Zones (While collecting Relief Packages in the progress)
- Challenges (While collecting Relief Packages in the progress)
- Relief Packages
Upon completing Step 2, you will earn the following trophies:
Disaster Recovery
I'm a Runner and a fighter
Trespassing
Step 3.1: Misc run (During the Day).
Step 3 will be divided into 2 sections because of the night mode. This section will cover the trophies that you can earn during the day. You can sleep in safe zones to immediately change the time to Day or Night. This makes it much easier, rather than having to wait a full 12 hours.
In this step, you will earn every misc trophy. Most of these trophies are very easy to earn. However, some require you to have learned certain skills. these are:
- Elemental Throwing Stars
- Electric Fences
- Grapple
- Vault
- Drop Attack
You will need to learn all of these skills in order to earn every trophy in this step. It's recommended to learn these as soon as you can, that way you do not need to level up to higher levels than the required levels for the four level trophies.
The hardest trophies are probably This is Harraaaaan! and Homo Homini Lupus Est. Both of these trophies are very time consuming and will take hours to complete. The rest of these trophies can be earned with very little effort. You can earn these during the night as well, but they're much more harder to earn. When you get a notice from Ayo that night is coming, go to the nearest safe house and wait until Morning.
Step 3.2: Misc run (During the Night).
This section will cover every trophies that you can earn during the night. You can sleep in safe zones to immediately change the time to Night. This makes it much easier, rather than having to wait a full 12 hours.
This section of step 3 is much more trickier than the previous section; you can only earn these trophies, apart from Electrified!, during the night so go to the nearest safe house to change the time to night if you should need to. You can actually earn most of these trophies in a single session by running around during a pursuit, even if you die. There's a specific location in the Slums that's a great area to farm the Electrified!, Enlightened!, Blinded by the Lights, Prom Night, and Mouths Wide Open trophies in a single night. For this specific location, refer to these trophies in the Trophy Guide. You will also need to learn both the Electric Fences, and Blacklash skills in order to earn some of these trophies.
All of these trophies are also cumulative so dying doesn't matter.
Upon completing Step 3, you will earn the following trophies:
Day
We're All In This Together
Homo Homini Lupus Est
Trade Company
Everybody Dance Now
Can't Touch This
This is Harraaaaan!
A Game of Catch
BBQ
Harran Shooting Club
High Flyer
Judo Master
Master Crafter
Open Sesame
Italian Plumber
Gabriel's Sword
Night
Bolter Hunting
Mouths Wide Open
Electrified!
Blinded by the Lights
Prom Night
Enlightened!
A Long Way Down
Step 4: Complete every Side Quest; collectibles; and earn the remaining cumulative trophies.
This will probably be your longest step. The reason that we included collectibles to this step, is because you will need to progress through various side quests in order to reach certain areas in the game that might have a collectible. It's best to complete all of the side quests first before your collectible run. This will also earn you The Whole Story during the process. After you've completed every side quest, collect every Note, Recording and Battle Journal to finally earn It's All In the Writing. Also bear in mind that both of these trophies are currently glitched so BACKUP YOUR SAVE DATA before trying to earn these trophies.
Finally, you will also earn every remaining cumulative trophy that you have not earned. This includes: Mount Everest, and The Legend of Harran. You will pass level 18 after you've completed every side quest, as you earn Survivor EXP from completing quests. Mount Everest however, is a huge grind and will most likely be one of the final trophies that you earn before your platinum.
Upon completing Step 4, you will earn the following trophies:
Pheidippides
Mount Everest
The Legend of Harran
It's All In the Writing
The Whole Story
Step 5: Co-op.
In this final step, you will earn the four online trophies. There are two co-op trophies and two online trophies. The co-op trophies are semi difficult if you earn them without boosting. The reason is because you will need to be in a lobby of 4 players without any of them dropping out of the game so It must be in a single session. They are very easy to earn if you organize a boosting session and set up five completed quests. For more information regarding these trophies, refer to the Trophy Guide.
The two remaining online trophies are much easier to earn, and can be boosted as well. Set your frequency of dynamic competition to "Frequent" to earn these last two trophies much faster. To organize a boosting session, refer to the Co-op Partners Thread (Read First Post!)
Upon completing Step 5, you will earn the following trophies:
Lucky 7
Harran Athletics
I've Got Your Back
Polyamory
Which will ultimately unlock:
We'll talk about it next time I see you.

Main Dying Light Trophy Guide (by Harry94_ and Warbear)
Grapple Hook Exploit (To make challenge trophies easier, by StayPationt) UPDATE! 5/15/17 - This exploit has been patched and no longer works.
Parkour Fever is a FREE DLC for Dying Light. This DLC was installed with the latest update of the game so there is no need to look in the PS store. This DLC is mostly about new parkour challenges as the name might suggest. These are similar to the race challenges from the main game, but are much more difficult. To try a parkour challenge look at your map and find the symbol of a foot with 3 stars underneath it. Upon arriving at that spot you should see the challenge and pressing on it will start the challenge.
The DLC also installs GRE Chests into the Quarantine zones. These chests hold valuable and unique weapons to help kill zombies so definitely loot a few of these (5 for a trophy) and see what you come out with.
WARNING: These trophies should only be attempted in single player. If you complete a Parkour Challenge in co-op only the player that comes in 1st place will get credit for completing it. Furthermore, only the player opening the GRE chest will get credit for it if you are in co-op. Therefore these DLC trophies are all best accomplished in single player.
Step 1: Loot 5 GRE Chests in the Quarantine Zones
The Quarantine Zones should be completed first, as they're much easier to complete; while the 10 Parkour Challenges are much longer. Quarantine Zone locations are shown in the map with a symbol. You can go to the same one more than once. Each time you complete a Quarantine Zone and re-enter the GRE chests will re-spawn. I visited one zone got 4 chests. I then completed the Zone left and returned. Upon opening the 1st chest on my return the trophy popped. The Quarantine Zones only shown on your map when you "discover" them. If you've already completed the main game just go to anyone of them. If you are playing for the first time, refer to the Trophy Guide for specific locations on this trophy. Once you loot 5 GRE chests you will earn:
Pearls in the Mud
Step 2: Get to know and Complete the Parkour Fever Challenges during the day time
Go to your Map and look for an icon of a foot with 3 stars under it, these are the Parkour Challenges you are looking to complete for the trophy. The challenges are really hard and It will take several tries to learn the location of the next checkpoint so that you are not thinking you are just planning your best path and reacting. At first these will seem impossible and very daunting but trust me, after a few tries and figuring out the best paths they are doable. Learning them in the daytime will also help as it's easier to see and less zombies around. You will need to complete 5 challenges in the Slums Map and 5 challenges in the Old Town Map for a total of 10 challenges. Once you complete all 10 you will earn:
The Boy Who Could Run
Step 3: Complete all the Parkour Challenges at night
You could potentially finish step 2 and 3 at the same time if you only did the challenges at night. However, I think it best to learn the route then try for it at night. You will fail a lot trying to learn the best way to tackle the challenge and night is very short compared to daytime. However when you are ready to try these at night, find a Safe Zone and go to sleep until night time (Safe Zones will either be a green or red icon). If you have completed the main game then all your Safe Zones are green and you are free to come and go and sleep if you wish. If your Safe Zones are red, then they must be first cleaned of zombies before you can sleep there. Once you have made it night time return to the challenge and complete it before it turns daytime. Upon completing all the challenges at night you will receive:

Main Dying Light Trophy Guide (by Harry94_ and Warbear)
Co-op Partners Thread
The Bozak Horde is the new DLC that opens up a new challenge arena in The Stadium. The DLC will have you test your agility and killing skills in a series of twenty challenges, which act as waves. In order to complete the whole DLC you will not only have to be able to complete it but also complete it under a certain amount of time depending on how many co-op partners you have. The DLC can be made easier while playing in co-op and there is also one multiplayer co-op trophy so you'll want to round up your friends or get with the co-op partners boosting thread. Finally, the DLC also gives you some pretty sweat weapons to help you complete the main game if you have not already done so. For completing the DLC you will get a new bow weapon and also Bozak Documents. You can take these Documents back with you to the main game and give them to the Quartermaster who will then give you special and unique weapons to use in the main game.
Step 1: Complete all 20 Bozak Challenges
You will arrive at the stadium with nothing and you must find or loot any weapons and health packs you wish to use, they always spawn in the same place so once you have played a while it will become easier. Also during this step (if you are playing in co-op with friends) decide who will win at the end. At the end of the challenges you will be tasked to kill each other so that there is only one of you left alive. This will net you the trophy Together to the End. However, no matter who wins in the end, all will have access to the new bow weapon and earn the trophy:
Get the Boza
Step 2: Complete the Bozak Challenges Again Trying to Complete Certain Tasks
If you were not the one to win the final show down with your co-op buds, then you’ll need another win so that you earn the trophy. After beating it for the first time and earning the bow, you will also now want to try and get 10 viral kills with it in one run through of the challenges to earn electric arrows. You’ll also most likely have a few more runthroughs trying to improve your time in beating it, as you’ll have to beat it under a certain time to earn the explosive arrows. After a few more playthroughs you should get the following trophies:
Together Till the End
Electric Whisper
Things That Go Ka-Boom
Step 3: Return to the Main Game and Use Your New Bow
Upon completing the 20 Bozak challenges you will earn the bow weapon. Return to the main game from the stadium and collect your belongings from your stash. Everything is taken from you in the stadium but will be waiting for you at your stash upon returning to the main game. Now look at your blue prints you will have earned from completing the Bozak challenges. Craft a bow. Craft some arrows (you only need the regular arrows). Find some of Rais's men and shoot them in the head with your new weapon. After killing 10 with head shots you will earn the trophy:
Robin Hood Theory

Welcome to Dying Light's long awaited The Following DLC! Kyle Crane is back following the events of Dying Light. Crane is sent to a nearby Countryside to investigate the rumors of a Zombie Cure, and what he finds is not what anyone was expecting! As far as the trophies go, there are quite a few "Story Related" trophies, and one trophy is missable so be sure to look that over. Other than that, enjoy!
Important: It's worth mentioning as of now with the current patch, there is a glitch that can happen where you will get stuck inside the "Gas Station" if you quit the game after finishing the first objective within the "Strangers in a Strange land" quest. If you have "The Mechanic" side quest then do not exit the game until you have completed it. It's a mandatory side quest an it is given to you early on by Jasir.
Note: Gas and Screws! The Buggy can be broken an run out of gas. This isn't a huge problem though. Just about every abandoned car you see should have fuel, screws, or both. Search near the hood for the screws, and search the rear end for the fuel. Fuel can also be found at the 8 Gas Stations located around the Countryside. Also if you can no longer repair your Buggy using screws then you will need to do the Side quest "Buggy Grail" given to you by The Quarter-Master Bilal. Once you do this the trucker you meet during the quest will remain on the highway bridge selling car parts that you'll need. Some of the more advanced parts will take more than screws to repair, such as Rubber or Steel Tubing. These are found in the same way as screws, but are just more rare to come by.
Step 1: Story Missions
Play through the story quest and any side quests as you see fit. Pay attention to Bilal's race as the related trophy is missable. Other than that, enjoy the game! While it is not needed because everything can be done post game, I do recommend driving and killing as many zombies as you can while going from point A to point B for the 500 kills needed for I don't approve of mindless fun.
Trophies Earned:
Afraid to get Wet
I Felt your Presence
I was waiting for you for so long
An you liked him, didn't you?
What if you picked the other one
Step 2: Miscellaneous/clean up
After having played through the story you should have all the related trophies and just need some cleanup. Go win Bilal's Race, kill a Demolisher with your Buggy, destroy any remaining scarecrows, and get 500 Buggy kills. You have free access to the entire countryside. See below for tips on each trophy.
Trophies Earned:
Sweaty palms?
It wasn't that hard, Was it? missable
You realize it's only points, do you?
Formidophobic? Interesting...
I don't approve of mindless fun
