Dragon Ball Xenoverse is the 15th installment of the Dragon Ball franchise and the first Dragon Ball game released on eighth generation consoles. Character creation returns and players will be able to fully customize their character's race, gender, head, body build, voice, and clothing. There are free-roaming elements in the gameplay, but you'll be spending the majority of your time roaming the futuristic world of Tokitoki City.
Trophy wise, you'll be spending tons of hours farming and grinding. Yep, you can expect to spend at least around, or over, 100+ hours working towards this game's shiny platinum trophy. The list itself is completely easy, but the gameplay will get repetitive fast. If you're a hardcore Dragon Ball fan who also enjoys hunting DBZ trophies as a hobby, then this game is for you.

Updates: Be sure that you play this game with latest patches installed. They'll make your journey to the platinum trophy much easier and have improved functionally due to the developers listening to feedback. These latest patches also slightly reduce your platinum time because they make gathering Dragon Balls much easier, improve chances of getting Ultimate finishes from Parallel Quests, etc. This is an online title, so it's best to have the current patches installed anyway.
Step 0: Complete the Prologue and Create your Custom Character
During this step you'll have to complete the Prologue as Goku fighting historic battles against major villains like Frieza, Cell, and Kid Buu. After you win all these fights, you must create your first custom character which you'll be using for the majority of your gameplay. Now races don't really matter and it's completely up to you regarding the way you want to play, but I will mention that the best overall race to select would be the Saiyans. The Saiyans can become Super Saiyans (SS) and while in SS state you have the ability to fire off an unlimited amount of Super and Ultimate attacks as long as you have even an ounce of Ki. This means you can spam Ultimate attacks such as Death Ball or Super Vanishing Ball (arguably the best Ultimate attacks in the game) over and over again until you completed the Saga or Parallel Quests you're playing. This will turn the game into a complete joke and it'll save you some precious time. You can create another character at any given point of time, but they will start off at level 1, so it's really best to wait until your near end game to power level fast if you want to create and build another powerful character.

Only Just Beginning
Step 1: Complete all the Sagas and while focusing on Leveling up your Custom Character
In this step you're required to complete all the Sagas and defeat the Time Breakers who are interfering with time. As you're playing through the Sagas you gain more levels, special and ultimate attacks while also unlocking more Parallel Quests to play through. These Sagas will get harder along the way, but they will become even easier by getting more power moves to use. Personally, I recommend that you keep playing until you can buy Super Saiyan (must be Super Saiyan race to use) from the Skill Shop and farm Parallel Quest No.22 Earth in Danger for the Death Ball skill. Just by having these 2 skills will make remaining Sagas way too easy. You'll breeze right through them just by going Super Saiyan and spamming Death Ball until you win. It won't take long to unlock these moves either but you must be at least in the Cell Saga stages for these to become more accessible to you. Remember while doing this step, try to get as many skills as you can from the current Parallel Quests you have access to. More will unlock as you complete the Sagas.
During this step you unlock the following trophies:
Goodbye, Goku
Melancholic Curtain Call
Impending War
Legendary Super Saiyan
Goodbye, Warriors
Peace For The Future
Battle For The Universe
Expanding Future
Strong Rival, Strong Hero!
Close Calls Are More Exciting!
A Fantastic Journey Begins!
Proof Of My Courage
Step 2: Obtain all Online Trophies
This step shouldn't take you long and can be done at any point in time. All of the online trophies can easily be boosted and if you need online partners, please use one of the following Boosting Threads:
PS4 Trophy Boosting Thread (Read First Post!)
PS3 Trophy Boosting Thread (Read First Post!)
The game is very active as well and can also be done legit if you like. The fastest way to get nearly all the online trophies out the way is to play Endless Battles and get 7 wins out of the way, then be sure to watch 7 fights while being a spectator. The best way to be a spectator is to join with 3 or more players and lose your fight on purpose so you drop back down to spectator slots. Another trophy you'll need is reviving KO'd allies 7 times in online matches which is best done by playing Player Matches. Just revive your CPU allies for the revives to count, or boost it if you like. Last things you'll want to do in this step are to add someone on your Favorite List, send a gift to a player, and receive a gift from a player. All of these things are self-explanatory and more information can be read within the trophy guide section.

This is also another step that you can really be doing at any point of time to be honest with you. As mentioned in Step 1, Parallel Quests is something you should already have been doing while playing through the game's Sagas. There are a total of 56 Parallel Quests altogether not including DLC packs or expansions. Doing this step, by the way, will unlock all characters and variations (not the ones from the wishes though) while visiting all stages in the game. It should also be noted that you'll get Parallel Quests from characters such as Raditz, Nappa, Kid Gohan, Guldo, Teen Gohan, Android #17, Goten, Majin Buu, Kid Trunks and Broly. These will all be explained in Memories Buried In Time's trophy description.
As for Mentors/Masters (doesn't matter what you call them in this game) there are a total of 12 to find and choose from not including DLC packs or expansions. These Mentors are needed to teach your character new skills and ultimate attacks. They are found throughout Tokitoki City and you can only have one Mentor at a time. There will be another random Mentor up if you wish to become another Mentor's student. Again this is pretty much self-explanatory stuff and you'll be grinding a lot anyway while do these things. For more information on masters etc. please read Rainbows Form In Your Eyes's trophy description.

(Note: Please keep in mind that not all Mentors/Master trophies will be earned during this step)

Step 4: Obtain all Super, Ultimate Attacks and work on all remaining Farming/Grinding Trophies + Cleanup
This is the final step towards the platinum. In this step you're going to be replaying Parallel Quests repeatedly until you've obtained all of the Super and Ultimate attacks from each separate PQ mission. This will heavily depend on luck because these attacks have a random drop rate and aren't always guaranteed to drop. This step can get repetitive and frustrating very fast because you'll be spending roughly over 80+ hours of your time on this step alone. There are some tips that you can use to go about getting all the Supers and Ultimate Attacks within the game and all this information can be read in the Full Ultimate Power!'s trophy description.
While working on this step, you should also be using this time for your cleanup. Be sure to finish all Masters/Mentors that you're still missing or need to complete training with. Plus, don't forget to gather the Dragon Balls a total of 7 times. You need the Dragon Balls to unlock Characters, Super and Ultimate Attacks. These will take a total of 7 wishes. Farming Dragon Balls can be done in many different Parallel Quests, but for more information on the fastest way to gather the Dragon Balls please read the The Best Miracle Of The World trophy description. Last of all, if you're still missing online trophies at this point; then refer to the trophy guide section for more information about those trophies.
At the end of this step you'll have the following trophies:
