• Estimated trophy difficulty: 6.9/10

  • Online trophies: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to platinum: 80-100 Hours
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1
  • Number of missable trophies: 6 - On Burning Wings, Belle of the Ball, Persuasive, The Brightest of Their Age, People Person, Beloved and Precious
  • Glitched trophies: 3 - Persuasive, Pathfinder, Veteran

  • Do trophies stack?: Yes.
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheats available.

Dragon Age: Inquisition isn't really a hard game to complete even though there's a trophy tied to the highest difficulty (Nightmare) in the game. Apart from that trophy and the trophy to beat the game on Hard (difficulty trophies stack), everything else can be done on whatever difficulty you prefer. If you're a Dragon Age or RPG Veteran, like a challenge or want to get the platinum as soon as possible, go for the one playthrough. If not, do it in two playthroughs. If going for one playthrough, be sure to read up on the countless missable and glitched trophies. Make sure to manually save often and don't constantly overwrite all your save files. Manual saves can get you most of the glitched trophies if any happen to glitch on you.

Start a new game on Casual/Normal if going for two playthroughs. Start on Nightmare when going for one playthrough.

Start a new game on Casual/Normal or Nightmare. In this playthrough, you mainly want to familiarize yourself with the game and want to focus on the missable trophies, getting most if not all of them out of the way. If you're not sure if you can do it on Nightmare immediately, you can always lower the difficulty if you feel like you're better of doing it in two playthroughs. Be aware that there's no New Game+ (NG+), so you won't be able to start a new playthrough with your existing character if you need to do a second playthrough.

WARNING: While playing on Nightmare, never press to "Reset" your settings in the option menu. Doing so will set the difficulty on Normal.

For the The Brightest of Their Age trophy, you'll need to recruit all companions. Most of them are obtained very early on in the game, except for two of them. Some of them are easily missed and you can also deny their request to join the inquisition. You can also decide later on to throw them out of the inquisition, which isn't a good idea if you haven't obtained the trophy before doing so.

Whenever you go back to Haven or Skyhold, talk to all your companions and advisors. They will give you Inner Circle quests. These are personal quests and they're required for the People Person trophy. You can do this at any time in the game, however, after completing all the Story missions all the Inner Circle quests will disappear. The same counts for the Beloved and Precious trophy, which requires you to romance someone. These also require certain quests to be completed and won't be available after the last mission. All missions you had active related to these two trophies become locked out. Make a manual save before doing the last story mission called "Doom Upon All The World", or finish this on your second playthrough.

Read up on the Persuasive trophy. This requires you to recruit 10 agents. There are about 22 agents in the game, but the majority can easily be missed by either not speaking to them as soon as possible or by ignoring their request to join the Inquisition. This trophy is also glitched.

There are also two missable trophies tied to 2 main story missions. During the "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts" main mission, you can easily miss the Belle of the Ball trophy. Make sure to make a manual save before starting this quest. During the "What Pride Had Wrought", you need to make a certain choice at the very end. This is tied to the On Burning Wings trophy. If you want to avoid (minor) spoilers, make a manual save before starting or right after starting the quest. If you failed to choose the correct option, reload that save and try again. Or obtain this trophy on your second playthrough.

Throughout the game, you'll come across Herbs and Materials. Pick up as many as you can; you'll need many of them. Two trophies that require the most resources are the Quartermaster and the Master Alchemist trophy. Having to do all of this at the end might end up being a huge chore. Every time you go to a camp, talk to the requisition officer there if possible for a requisition. While requisitions for the Quartermaster trophy are pretty useless in itself, upgrading potions, tonics and grenades for the Master Alchemist trophy can make your playthrough easier.

Also be on the lookout for Ocularums, the sticks with a skull on them. They're represented as a skull on your (mini)map. Interact with them and you'll be able to find shards. Shards you've located will be placed with a marker on your map. After picking up one of these, you'll receive the Sharp-Eyed trophy. For the Keymaster trophy, however, you'll need to find all the shards in the game. Make sure to use any Ocularum you come across and pick up the shards they discover throughout the game.

And finally, close any rift you come across. Not only will you get experience, influence, power and more, but you'll need to close 75 Rifts in total for the Marked For Greatness trophy.

Make sure to read up on the three glitched trophies, Persuasive, Pathfinder, and Veteran. Make manual saves often and don't overwrite them constantly, as this can prevent you from having to play through the game more than you need to.

Start a second playthrough (on Nightmare) if needed.

If you didn't start out on Nightmare already, now is the time to do so. There's no New Game+ (NG+), so you won't be able to start a new playthrough with your existing character. Skip Hard if you need that trophy as well, since Nightmare will also unlock the Hard trophy. Nightmare isn't such a big difference from hard anyway. Lowering the difficulty at any point before finishing the story will void the trophy. Once you've got the trophy for completing the story on Nightmare, you can lower the difficulty to finish up any trophies. Manually save often and don't overwrite all your manual saves all the time. For more tips please see the Inquisitor trophy.

Now is also the time to go after any missable or glitched trophies if you've missed them on your first playthrough.

Jaws of Hakkon DLC:

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 2/10
  • Offline trophies: 4 (1, 2, 1, 0)
  • Online trophies: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 6-8 hours
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1
  • Number of missable trophies: 1 (Firestarter)
  • Glitched trophies: 0
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No
  • Do trophies stack?: No
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: N/A

Introduction:

Jaws of Hakkon is a DLC for the popular game Dragon Age: Inquisition. It is single player only and it's difficulty will depend entirely on your game settings and advancement in the main game storyline. The developers have intended this DLC to be an end-game addition and as such they recommend a minimum level of 20. You can still achieve all trophies in this DLC with any in-game difficulty setting but it will be more difficult.

Personally, I picked this up after I was long done with the main game and so my character was as strong as I was able to achieve. My character was almost level 24 and I played this DLC with the Normal difficulty rating. With that context I gave a 2/10 rating for difficulty. A hike in game difficulty, lackluster equipment, and/or levels can drastically affect the difficulty you may experience with this DLC.

This DLC constitutes an all new sub-area within the World Map named Frostback Basin. It is an overgrown wilderness area in the southern mountains of Thedas, and is the home of the Avvar. While mentioned in the main storyline, this DLC brings us to the homeland of these fierce hunters and their culture. The storyline focuses mostly on historical investigation of the last Inquisitor who lived 800 years prior. As the story progresses your battles will be very much like the main game (same enemy class types) and eventually you will learn of some unfinished business of the former Inquistor. Handling this unfinished business is the conclusion of the DLC storyline.

If you are purely looking to bang out these 4 trophies in record time, then the price tag for this DLC is high as it should only take you between 3-6 hours (basically you run past all enemies where possible and sprint from quest to quest). However, this DLC does look amazing on the PS4 and the environment is incredibly realistic. There are many optional quests that you can take on, and many are similar to the main game (such as finding camps, staking landmarks, taking out rifts etc). If you take the time to do literally every quest and actually read all of the dialog options, journals, notes and books then the DLC price-tag does not seem too bad. If you take this route, the game should easily last you between 10-15 hours.

My personal take was this game just felt like one more (good) sub-area of the main game. It was more of the same (which again I felt was a good thing) without all of the normal DLC flash of "new items, new creatures, new loot, new skills, new whatever". So if you enjoyed the main game, you will definitely enjoy this DLC too.

Walkthrough:

The first question on my mind after installing a DLC is always, where is it?

  • The first time you turn on the game after downloading the DLC, the game should blatantly inform you of a new War Table quest in the top right of your game screen.
  • Go to the War Table in Skyhold
  • Select the Ferelden side
  • You will see Investigate Frostback Basin in the far lower left of the Ferelden area. This will require 8 power.
  • After investigation the new Frostback Basin sub-area will be available on the World Map.
  • You can choose to immediately "Venture Forth" from the War Table or use the World Map to enter the area.

Step One
Play through the DLC story.

Two of the four trophies are story related and cannot be missed. These two trophies are:

Historian
Winter’s End

While playing through the DLC storyline there is one other trophy to keep a look-out for as it becomes possible once you enter the Old Temple. Refer to the trophy for more information (with spoilers if you wish):

Firestarter

Step Two
Complete the optional "Guests of the Hold" quest-line.

This is an optional quest line that is available at the beginning of the DLC. While you can work through this quest line at any point, even before you do any of the main DLC storyline quests, you cannot actually complete this quest until you have finished all of the DLC main storyline quests. Refer to the trophy for more information (with spoilers if you wish):

Legend-Marked

Clean-up
I have seen it mentioned several times that the two non-storyline trophies are missable. From my investigation this does not seem to be accurate on the PS4. I was not able to find any way to permanently prevent the achieving of either of these two trophies.

With that said, these two trophies may be an area where you need to do some clean-up. If you are having difficulty I have provided extra information that should help you in the trophy descriptions.

The Descent DLC:

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 4/10
  • Offline trophies: 4 (1, 2, 1, 0)
  • Online trophies: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 2-4 hours
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1
  • Number of missable trophies: 0
  • Glitched trophies: 0
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No
  • Do trophies stack?: No
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: N/A

Introduction:

The Descent is the second DLC for the popular game Dragon Age: Inquisition. It is single player only and its difficulty will depend entirely on your game settings and advancement in the main game storyline. The DLC can be completed any time after you get to Skyhold in the main game and have access to the War Table; it will scale to your current level. You can achieve all trophies in this DLC with any in-game difficulty setting.

Personally, I picked this up after I was long done with the main game and so my character was as strong as I was able to achieve. My character was level 26 and I played this DLC with the Normal difficulty rating. With that context I gave a 4/10 rating for difficulty. A hike in game difficulty, lackluster equipment, and/or levels can drastically affect the difficulty you may experience with this DLC. Compared to Jaws of Hakkon I found this DLC slightly more difficult.

This DLC constitutes an all new sub-area within the World Map named Deep Roads. If you are familiar with previous Dragon Age titles or Dwarf lore in general you should know what to expect here: an enormous collection of underground tunnels that used to be controlled by Dwarves but now houses Darkspawn. The storyline focuses on figuring out what is going on in the Deep Roads as the discovery could impact Lyrium production. Your battles will be very much like the main game (same enemy class types). The Deep Roads environment consists of six individual levels.

If you are purely looking to bang out these 4 trophies in record time, it should only take you between 2-3 hours (head to the quest marker as fast as possible with no detours). However, this DLC does look amazing on the PS4 and the environment is incredibly realistic. There are optional quests that you can take on, and two are similar to the main game (finding camps and staking landmarks). If you take the time to do literally every quest, and actually read all of the dialogs options, journals, notes, and books then the DLC should easily last you between 6-8 hours.

My personal take was this game just felt like one more (good!) sub-area of the main game. This DLC has only one vendor who sells Crafting Materials but is, by far, the best vendor in the entire game for these items. Many of the crafting supplies are infinite and it even sells the Tier 4 Dragon items! (albeit in a limited supply) If you enjoyed the main game, you will definitely enjoy this DLC too.

Walkthrough:

To access the DLC:

  • The first time you turn on the game after downloading the DLC, the game should blatantly inform you of a new War Table quest in the top right of your game screen.
  • Go to the War Table in Skyhold.
  • Select the Ferelden side.
  • You will see Disaster in the Deep Roads in the upper middle of the Ferelden area; the map icon is unique in that the black marker has blue Lyrium on its sides. It does require 16 power.
  • After investigation the new Deep Roads sub-area will be available on the World Map.
  • You can choose to immediately "Venture Forth" from the War Table or use the World Map to enter the area.

It should be noted that the primary optional quest revolves around finding Bloodstained Ancient Gears. While 3 gears are required for the first door on sub-level 2 for the main story quest, all of the rest of the gears are used for the optional Sacrificial Gates of Segrummar quest. There are several dozen of these gears with some in plain sight and some in tricky hidden places. Interaction with the Expedition Table is necessary for this optional quest in order to reach some gates and gears; the Expedition Table requests are primarily quests that cause paths to be built to access certain areas (bridges or cleared rocks). The primary purpose of this optional quest is lots of loot and some decent experience.

Warning: While these DLC trophies can be completed on any difficulty, changing your difficulty level here will also affect your main game trophies (if you have not yet achieved your main game difficulty trophies).

Step One
Play through the DLC story.

Three of the four trophies are story related and cannot be missed. These three trophies are:

Giant Slayer
Fact Finder
Shaper of Stone

While playing through the DLC storyline there is only one non-story trophy you can achieve; you will probably even get it without trying. This trophy is:

Deep Roads Commander

Step Two
Clean-up

In this particular DLC there should not be anything that you need to finish later as the trophy requirements are about as easy as they come. But just in case, get the remaining trophies now.

Trespasser DLC:

ROADMAP

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 3/10 (personal estimate)
  • Offline trophies: 11 (10, 1)
  • Online trophies: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 4-6 hours for the DLC content trophies and 15-30 hours for the Trials trophies if a new playthrough is needed, possibly less if there are previous saves available. (personal estimate)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1 playthrough of the main game & 1 playthrough of Trespasser DLC content.
  • Number of missable trophies: 8 – Trial of Temperance, Trial of the Magician, Trial of the Tower, Trial of the Empress, Trial of the Fool, Trial of the Lovers, Lateral Thinker, Coroner.
  • Glitched trophies: None.
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No but modifiers affect 8 of them (all of the main-game section).
  • Do trophies stack?: N/A
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheats.

For more in-depth, detailed information on the main-game, please see Vuule’s Dragon Age: Inquisition – Trophy Guide & Roadmap.

Zuzela has written a detailed, step-by-step supplemental guide to achieving both trophies, the Trial of the Fool and the Trial of the Lovers, simultaneously. You can find it here: LINK.

INTRODUCTION

Trespasser is the third and final story-related DLC addition to Dragon Age: Inquisition. It is set two years after the end of DA:I, and quite nicely explains what your followers have been doing in this time. The new content is meant to be a post-game addition, and so your character is recommended to be at minimum level 20. The enemies in the new content are harder and more challenging, especially at higher difficulty levels so because of that, I would not suggest completing it on Nightmare.

It's also the utter end of the game for your character – you will decide what you wish to do with the Inquisition and your choices will affect your ending. But before you do, you will have the ability to speak to your companions once again and learn what they have been up to in the last two years, as well as what their plans and opinions are for their and the Inquisition’s future. In my opinion, the story section of the DLC is well-done and satisfying.

This DLC's trophies are a bit different than usual. They include two sections of trophies, the first includes 3 trophies that relate to the new DLC content. The second, however, includes 8 trophies that will have you replaying the original, base game content but using "Trials". These trials are modifiers meant to handicap you in some way or another, and come with a possibility of rewards in the form of equipment or sigils.  I personally suggest that you do the DLC story content before returning to the original game to do the Trials.

IMPORTANT TIP: In both the new and old content, you should save often and make multiple saves. Firstly, almost all of these trophies are missable so it's always good to have multiple back-ups just in case and secondly, even BioWare has suggested this as it seems the trials can be a bit buggy. Their warning states: "In rare cases, trials may cause enemies or followers to behave unpredictably. Keeping multiple save files is recommended". Finally, Trespasser can quickly become buggy, and if that happens you'd need to revert to a manual save to fix it. Sometimes it glitches where you cannot loot and cannot move after engaging in combat.

WALKTHROUGH

The trophies are split into two sections: Trespasser DLC content, and Base-game Content (in other words, the original content from Dragon Age: Inquisition, the main game).

As aforementioned, I would suggest doing the DLC content before you tackle the Trials. Firstly (and most importantly), so that you are better able to enjoy the ending of your story. Additionally, another good, more tangible reason to do the DLC first is that when you locate the armor pieces from the  Coroner puzzles, you are also rewarded with the schematics for those pieces, which will be available via the Golden Nug and thus can help you when you go to do the Trials in a different playthrough.

STEP ONE:
Play through the DLC content.

WARNING: Once you begin Trespasser, you can no longer return to Skyhold or any other area, in fact. It is the beginning of the end and once you've completed this step, you will no longer be able to play this character so make sure you're completely ready: synchronize everything with the new Golden Nug in the Undercroft, finish up any side-quests or previous DLC content you want. I also advise making a save prior to starting the DLC. That way, once you’ve finished, if you want to go back and keep playing, you’ll be able to.

When you are ready to begin, simply go to the War Room. On the Orlais side, there should now be a new mission to explore for 8 Power, which will take you to the Winter Palace, which will replace Skyhold as your hub.

By the end of this step, you should earn the sole story-related, non-missable trophy:

Forever Marked

During this step, you should also keep track of the two collectible-related trophies, as there is a point of no return and they are easily missed:

Coroner
Lateral Thinker

STEP TWO:
Begin a new playthrough and/or load earlier saves, if you have them.

There are 8 trophies that require playing through the main game again, using specific modifiers. These modifiers can be found by: Opening the main wheel using the options button . Select options, then select Trials (right under Gameplay). Here you can toggle all the trials on and off. All trials are meant to make certain situations more challenging but also increase your chances of receiving "special shipment" rewards, which you can find in the Undercroft in Skyhold.

WARNING: While in this step, never press to "Reset" your settings in the Options menu. Doing so will deactivate all trials and void any in-progress Trials trophies.

If you happen to have early saves from the game, that should work for most of them. You'll need saves that are, at minimum, at the following spots:

Trial of the Magician: Prior to beginning either In Hushed Whispers or Champions of the Just.
Trial of Temperance: Prior to entering Emprise du Lion at all.
Trial of the Empress: Prior to killing the level 12 Ferelden Frostback dragon in the Hinterlands.
Trial of the Tower: Prior to killing the level 19 Hivernal dragon in Emprise du Lion.

There are two trophies that can be done at any point in the game, even on a character that has already completed it. These are:

Trial of the Hermit
Trial of the Emperor

And finally, there are two trophies that require an absolutely fresh playthrough and cannot be achieved using previous saves:

Trial of the Lovers
Trial of the Fool

If you do not have saves that match the requirements, it is easily possible to do all of the Trials trophies in one new playthrough. However, I do suggest doing most of these on Normal difficulty because Nightmare will make them more challenging so it's best if you don't complete these on your Nightmare run if you have yet to get the trophy for it. Additionally, having a character which has already completed the game will make this step much easier because you will have access to all of the schematics you've found via the Golden Nug.

    - The Final Piece

  • Recruit all possible companions in a single playthrough.

    **MISSABLE**

There are a total of 9 companions. You can bring 3 companions of your choosing with you into battle. Each companion has their own class and specialization. You can let the AI control them, or you can take over at any time.

You can recruit all but two pretty early on in the game, but apart from the first 3 companions, they're all optional. Once recruited, you can also choose for some of them to leave the Inquisition. I'm not sure if this will void the trophy, but I don't see why you really want to throw away any companions anyway, as annoying as they might be.

These are all the companions and where to find them.

Cassandra: Automatically recruited during the Prologue.
Solas: Automatically recruited during the Prologue.
Varric: Automatically recruited during the Prologue.

Blackwall: After completing "The Threat Remains" main story quest in the Hinterlands, the "The Lone Warden" quest will automatically be added to your Journal. This quest will lead you to Blackwall.

Sera: The first time you get to Val Royeaux, an arrow will be shot into the ground very close to you. Inspect the arrow which will have you track down 3 Red Letters. These can be picked up by using Ping (press ) first. Once you've found all 3 of them, a new location will be added on your map. Go to that location to meet up with Sera. Make sure you also have the Vivienne quest active before leaving Val Royeaux.

Vivienne: The first time you get to Val Royeaux, an arrow will be shot into the ground. This is related to Sera, but very close to it is a man that you can speak to. Speak to him to receive an invitation from Vivienne. This will add a new location on your map. Travel to this location to meet up with Vivienne. Make sure you also have the Sera quest active before leaving Val Royeaux.

Iron Bull: After a few quests, a messenger will appear at the entrance of the building where your war table is location. Talk to him to activate a quest that will lead you to Iron Bull in Storm Coast.

Cole: At some point in the main story line, you need to choose to side with either the Mages ("In Hushed Whispers" quest), or the Templars ("Champions of the Just" quest). If you decide to side with the Mages, Cole will automatically show up after completing the quest and you can choose to recruit him. If you side with the Templars, he will appear during the quest and you'll be able to recruit him afterwards.

Dorian: At some point in the main story line, you need to choose to side with either the Mages ("In Hushed Whispers" quest), or the Templars ("Champions of the Just" quest). If you decide to side with the Templars, Dorian will automatically show up after completing the quest and you can choose to recruit him. If you side with the Mages, he will appear during the quest and you'll be able to recruit him afterwards.

  • Commit to a romantic relationship.

    **MISSABLE**

After finishing the last story mission "Doom Upon All The World", you won't be able to romance anyone, or finish any of the romances you had going. Make sure to obtain this trophy before starting this mission, or manually save before the last mission and finish this trophy afterwards by reloading the save file.

There are 8 people whom you can romance. Whether you can romance them depends on your character's gender and race. In order to romance someone, every time you talk to one of them, you need to choose the dialogue option with a heart icon. If you don't see any icons in the middle of the dialogue wheel, go to Options > Interface > Uncheck Hide Tone Icons. If you don't know where everyone is located, open the area map and hover over the black face icons to see who's where. There are a few people who you can flirt with, but not actually romance. Check the list below for those you can romance.

In order to actually romance any of them and receive the trophy, you'll need to do multiple quests for them. Whenever you find yourself in Haven or Skyhold, talk to any of the companions you want to romance and choose the heart option whenever possible. If there's no option to flirt, keep investigating and asking them questions about themselves. If none show up, come back later, or travel to a different location and travel right back for possibly new options. At a later stage, through enough flirting you get the option to "enter a relationship". This isn't enough though, as this won't unlock the trophy. Keep talking to them to unlock their final romance quest which should give you the trophy. If not, keep flirting and talking with them, it takes longer with some people.

These are the people you can romance, which gender and race they prefer and their romance quests.

See the The Brightest of Their Age trophy. Recruit any of the companions outside of Cassandra, Solas and Varric to obtain the trophy.

  • Gain access to a major city for the Inquisition.

During one of the main story quests, you'll have to travel to Val Royeaux where the trophy will unlock.

  • Purchase or secure five different mounts of any kind.

There are three ways to obtain mounts. Purchase them from Dennet after recruiting him as an agent, by purchasing a mystery box for 10.000 Gold, or by purchasing Dracolisks which are unlocked mainly by defeating Dragons.

When you go the The Hinterlands the first time, you'll receive the "Horses for the Inquisition" quest. This will lead you to Dennet. Dennet will give you another quest called "Master of Horses". On the right of his house in the garden is his wife. Talk to her to receive the "Trouble with Wolves" quest. Close to Dennet's Wife is a small building with a man named Bron inside. You can obtain the "Farmland Security" quest from him. Once all of these have been completed, you can convince Dennet to join the inquisition as an agent. In order to convince him, you either need to bring Cassandra along who can convince him, or have the "History Knowledge" Inquisition perk unlocked to convince him yourself.

You can purchase multiple mounts from him once he's your agent. If you're in Haven, go to the merchant close to the Blacksmith, just outside of the village walls. If you're in Skyhold, he's outside in the very right corner if you're facing the castle.

The second option is in Val Royeaux. At the very top of the city, is a merchant selling a Mystery Box for 10.000 Gold. Purchase this box and examine the gold statue that appears. This will add the "The Big One?" operation on your War Table on the Ferelden side. Complete this operation to instantly receive 5 Exotic mounts. If you don't want to spend 10.000 on this, buy the box, hit and sell back the box. You'll still have your money but you will be able to examine the golden statue and receive the mounts.

The third option is to buy Dracolisks. After defeating one of the ten dragons, you'll receive an Operation called "The Hunter Shade Dracolisk". Complete this operation and you'll be able to buy a Dracolisk at the same place as where you buy horses from Dennet. Defeating all ten dragons will unlock another Dracolisk. Capturing all keeps will unlock three more Dracolisks and gaining Influence rank 9 will get you another Dracolisk.

  • Craft a weapon or piece of armor in single-player mode.

You can craft and modify weapons and armor at a Blacksmith. This can be done in Haven at the Blacksmith who's right outside the village walls, or if you're in Skyhold in the Undercroft which is the door on the right of your Throne. You can also craft and modify weapons in any of the three keeps.

In order to craft a weapon or armor, you'll need a schematic. These can be purchased from various merchants, or found throughout the game. Any schematic will do. You'll also need crafting materials. Crafting materials can also be bought, but are mostly found throughout the game. Many of the schematics can use many of the countless materials.

Go to any crafting table and select any of the schematics you have. You'll see a few upgrade slots in the form of hexagons. Select any of the slots and it will show you a list of the materials you have that can be used, and how many you have and need. Each material adds different stats. Pick any materials to your liking. Do this for every slot and press afterwards to craft the item.

  • Enchant or upgrade a piece of equipment in single-player mode.

Just like crafting weapons and armor, enchanting or upgrading is done at the Blacksmith. Select either the modify armor or modify weapons option. This will show you a list of all the weapons/armor you have which have upgrade and/or enchant slots.

If you look at the weapon/armor stats on the right, below the stats you'll usually see a few empty icons with some text next to it. Let's take standard Medium Armor for rogues for example. It might have 2 empty slots called "Medium Arms" and "Medium Legs". If you select the armor, you'll see the 2 empty slots. Click on either of them and you'll be able to insert an upgrade -if you have them- such as Arms that add extra health for example, or legs that add extra defense. Click on any of the upgrades and press to apply the changes. Each armor type has their own upgrades. Same as with weapons. Not all weapons and armor have upgrade slots available though.

You can acquire upgrades in a few different ways if you don't have any. Upgrades can be crafted, just like weapons and armor. You can find armor/weapons with upgrades throughout the game. These upgrades can be removed and used on other armor by going to a modify armor/weapons table. And they can be found as loot and bought at certain merchants.

  • Complete a timed mission on the war table.

The War Table is where you unlock and start many of the main missions in the game. Many of the missions include simple timed missions -called operations- where you need to choose between either Josephine, Leliane or Cullen to finish the mission. Select any of the 3 and the mission will start. The time needed to complete the mission will show at the bottom right. Once the timer hits zero, the mission is done and you'll obtain the trophy.

These missions will complete in the background, even when you don't play the game or if you have the console turned off. The timers are based on your console's clock, so if you want you can forward your clock to immediately finish the mission.

  • Discover a campsite and establish an Inquisition camp in any wilderness area.

    See the Pathfinder trophy.

  • Find and recover a shard identified by an ocularum.

Throughout the game you'll see skulls on sticks. They will appear as skulls on your (mini)map when you get close to them. You can find shards with these by interacting with them. At the top of your screen you can see how many shards you can and have discovered with the ocularum you're using. In order to find shards, you'll have to move around and look for bright white lights that will only appear if you're aiming close to them. You'll need to aim the middle of your screen directly at them to discover them. Discovered shards will be placed on your (mini)map. You can't pick up shards before discovering them with the Ocularum. Pick up any of the shards that you've discovered to obtain the trophy.

You need to find all Ocularums and obtain all 114 shards for the Keymaster trophy. Bring a mage with you to the Western Approach and Forbidden Oasis if you're not a mage yourself. There are two shards in each of those regions that require you to Energize paths.

The total Shards per area can be found in your Journal (Collections, Shards), or use the following list.

    Haven: None
    The Hinterlands: 22 Shards / 5 Ocularums
The Storm Coast: 13 Shards / 4 Ocularums
    The Fallow Mire: None
    Crestwood: None
The Western Approach: 14 Shards / 5 Ocularums
The Forbidden Oasis: 15 Shards / 4 Ocularums
The Emerald Graves: 13 Shards / 2 Ocularums
The Exalted Plains: 16 Shards / 3 Ocularums
Emprise Du Lion: 13 Shards / 2 Ocularums
The Hissing Wastes: 8 Shards / 4 Ocularums

  • Discover a veilfire rune.

Runes are special crafting materials with which you can upgrade your weapons with to do better damage against specific enemy types or add an element to it. Veilfire runes are hidden throughout the game and when examined with a Veilfire, will grant you a rune.

You'll be looking for a weird marking on walls or the ground and when you get close to them, you'll hear distinctive audio on the background. In order to discover and obtain the rune, you'll need a Veilfire torch. Close to every veilfire run is a brazier that only mages can light. By interacting with the Veilfire you'll light up a Veilfire torch. Use this torch to examine the mark to receive the rune and the trophy.

Here's one of the first locations and what to look out for.

Only mages can light the brazier.

Interact with the Veilfire once lit to get a Veilfire Torch.

Markings like these is what you're looking for. Examine them when you have a Veilfire Torch to receive the rune and trophy.

  • Upgrade any ability once in single-player mode.

All active skills in your ability trees are diamond shaped. Each of these skills have a smaller diamond next to them which is an upgrade of the respective skill. Put in one point in the skill itself and one in the in the smaller icon next to it and hit to apply the skill points.

  • Choose a specialization class.

At some point in Skyhold, after doing some quests you'll automatically receive the "Specialization for the Inquisitor" quest under the "Inquisitor's Path" quest tab. Activate that quest and go to the War Table. On the Ferelden side of the table you'll get an operation with the same quest name. Start the operation and three new NPCs will show up in Skyhold. Each one of them grants you a different specialization class. You can start all three of them, but you can only complete one of them.

Warriors can choose to become a Templar, Champion, or Reaver.
Rogues can choose to become a Tempest, Assassion, or Artificer.
Mages can choose to become a Knight-Enchanter, Rift Mage, or Necromancer.

Each specialization quests requires you find a specific book, items and materials. Once you've found them all, go to a Requisitions table in any camp or Skyhold to craft the item needed and talk to the specialization NPC to receive a new skill tree and the trophy.

The book is always found near one of your companions in Skyhold. You'll need to find the room of the companion that has the same specialization as what you're going for.

    Rogues
    Cole: Assassin
    Varric: Artificer
    Sera: Tempest

    Warriors
    Cassandra: Templar
    Blackwall: Champion
    Iron Bull:Reaver

    Mages
    Dorian: Necromancer
    Vivienne: Knight-Enchanter
    Solas: Rift Mage

Check the black head icon on the Skyhold map to find them. If you didn't recruit them, you can also purchase the book at a merchant in Val Royeaux.

The location of the first three materials are found by defeating certain enemies. Their locations are mentioned in the quest description. The other materials are the same ones as you use for crafting.

The very last item on the list is something that you need to craft at a requisitions table at any camp or Skyhold. You can craft this as soon as you have all the other items. Once you've crafted the item, go back to the specialization NPC to receive your specialization.

Use this YouTube Playlist if you prefer video guides.

  • Secure a mount.

See the Saddled Up trophy for more details. This will unlock as soon as you finish the "Master of Horses" quest, purchase the Mystery Box in Val Royeaux for 10.000 Gold, or buy a Dracolisk by defeating a dragon and completing the operation it unlocks.

  • Trigger a cross-class combo with a character you control in single-player mode.

By using certain skills in order, you can activate a combo which results in higher damage than you would normally do for example. Each skill that can cause a combo is noted below the skill information. It will say "Impact/Precision/Eldritch Detonator Ability: Use on incapacitated foes for a combo". Impact is related to Warriors, Precision for Rogues and Eldritch for Mages.

Lets say you're a Rogue. If you were to put an enemy to Sleep with the Knockout Powder skill and than use any of the Precision skills, you would get a pretty standard combo. Now what's more interesting is that if you were to put an enemy to sleep, but any of the other classes would use their combo skills, it would trigger a cross-class combo, which gives even better results. This is something we want for this trophy.

Now this will more than likely come by normal play, but if you want to trigger combos yourself, command one of your companions to use a combo skill and once they do, use a combo skill of your own character on the same enemy.

  • Harvest 50 herbs from Skyhold's garden in a single playthrough.

The first time you get to Skyhold, you won't be able to immediately harvest herbs because the door that leads to the garden is blocked. It's the first door on your left when entering the great hall. Just do some quests and at some point the door will unlock. When you enter the garden directly in front of you, behind the wall are two pots. In these pots you can plant seeds from various herbs. Once you unlock the Garden, you'll also receive the "Nursery Seeds" quest which allows you harvest seeds from herbs as well. Once you have some seeds, go to any of the pots and press to plant a seed. The seeds will turn into herbs over time. Herbs will grow each time you leave Skyhold. Just keep checking back and harvest them whenever you get back to Skyhold. Or leave Skyhold, come back and repeat if necessary in order to harvest them as soon as possible. Each seed can be used an infinite amount of times. You can plant and harvest the same herb 50 times or mix it up if you want, it doesn't matter.

If you want to speed up this progress, you can upgrade the Garden and get six pots instead. In order to do this, you'll need to complete the "A Greener Garden" Skyhold quest. Once you've completed this quest, you get the choice between a Chantry Garden and a Herb Garden. The Chantry has two pots, while the Herb Garden has six.

The "A Greener Garden" quest can be started in Skyhold. Go to your Quarters which is at the door on the left of your Throne. On the desk in your Quarters you will find a letter. Take it to activate all three Skyhold Upgrade quests. The "A Greener Garden" quest requires the following to be completed:
    - 30 Spindleweed
    - 30 Elfroot
    - 30 Blood Lotus
    - 1 Logging Stand

Spindleweed is mostly found near water in The Hinterlands. Elfroot can be found pretty much everywhere, but The Hinterlands is a good place. Blood Lotus is also found near water. Storm Coast is a pretty good place for this. All these can also be bought from The Crossroad Merchant in The Hinterlands.

Logging stands are more difficult to find, as they won't show up on your map. If you want them on your map however, acquire the Forward Scouts Inquisition Perk. Or use

    for logging stands and quarries.

  • Kill a high dragon in single-player mode.

    See the Dragons' Bane trophy.

  • Purchase any new decoration element for Skyhold.

There are a few doors in Val Royeaux that will open after story progression, granting you access to new merchants. One of the merchants sells all kinds of new decorations in the other tab, ranging from 356 up to 1568 coins. Purchase any of the decorations and the trophy will unlock as soon you as leave the shop.

  • Gain the full approval of the Orlesian court.

    **MISSABLE**

During the "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts" quest, you'll get an approval meter in your quest log. In order to get this trophy, the approval needs to be at a 100/100 after finishing the quest. In order to do so, you'll need to do a multitude of things, but most importantly, say the correct things in order to achieve approval. Say or do something wrong and you'll lose approval. Since this a pretty long quest and the trophy can easily be missed, make a manual save before starting this quest. Since I'll be focusing on a trophy walkthrough, I'll skip any unnecessary exploring. If you want to explore, you might want to do it after obtaining the trophy using a manual save to start over.

By using this walkthrough, you'll more than likely finish with somewhere between 90-99 Approval after the one and only Fade Rift right, depending on how quick you were during the fights before it. This is pretty much the end and it's quite impossible to leave that fight with 100/100 Approval. Don't worry though, as long as enter the Ballroom after the Rift fight with 85+ Approval and follow the text guide below, you'll get the trophy.

    Full Text Walkthrough:

    Part 1 - Palace Gardens

When you first arrive, you'll have to speak to a man named Gaspard. Dialogue doesn't matter.

If you're playing as an Elf or Qunari, you'll lose approval. If you're playing as a Mage you'll receive an even bigger penalty. When playing as a human you'll receive 5 approval.

After the talking to Gasspard, go to the Noblewoman at the back of the area. Talk to her and choose the following dialogue:
    - Interesting stratagem.
(It might say you receive 10 Approval for this, but it's 5 actually.)

Use Ping (press ) afterwards to a ring at the small fountain near her. Return the ring to her to gain 5 approval. (It might say you lose 5 Approval, but you gain 5 actually.)

Walk towards the entrance of the Winter Palace, but don't enter it just yet. Go up the stairs on the right and use Ping to find a hidden Halla Statuette. Now go up the stairs on the left and try to initiate a conversation with the man there. He and his company will move away. An eavesdrop location will appear; use this to eavesdrop on that man.

Behind the man and the woman you eavesdrop on, if you follow the narrow path and use ping, you'll find a Storage Key. Use this on the door below you and use ping again to reveal a Caprice Coin. You can use this later on, dropping them in the water to gain 1 Approval per coin. There are many coins like these, but they're not necessary. Behind the coin is also a secret love letter you can find with ping. These are scandals you can find and there are many like them. You can give these to Leliana in the Ballroom to receive more approval, but they're not necessary.

After eavesdropping, enter the Palace. Josephine will strike a conversation; it doesn't matter what you say to her.

Part 2 - The Grand Ballroom

Afterwards, enter the Grand Ballroom and you'll be greeted by the Empress. Choose the following dialogue:
    - The weather may turn foul.
    - I can't do it credit.

    Part 3 - Vestibule

After the cutscene with Lelianna, go back to the Vestibule. The dialogue when talking to Lelianna doesn't matter. Afterwards, go towards the quest marker. You'll pass two huge statues and on the left in the back are two Elves. Talk to them and they will move away. Go to the stairs close to you to eavesdrop on them.

Below the stairs, next to the statue is another easy Caprice Coin you can pick up.

Now go into the next room and enter the first room on the left. Use Ping to find another easy Caprice Coin. In the same room is a man named Duke Germain (Council) that you can talk to for approval. Choose the following dialogue:
    - [Investigate.]
    - Gaspard is your nephew?

There's also a man named Council of Heralds Vassal in the same room that you can talk to for approval. Choose the following dialogue:
    - Philippe is a jerk!

Go back to the previous room and try to talk to the elves in the back of the room. They will move away and an eavesdrop location will appear next to you; use it. Once you're done eavesdropping, go towards the quest marker and through the door to a balcony. Use Ping to find a hidden Cylinder. Pick it up.

    Part 4 - Guest Garden

Now go towards the new quest marker and you'll be greeted by three ladies. Choose the following dialogue:
    - I'm happy to hear from her.
    - How kind of her.

Afterwards, go to the back of the area and eavesdrop on two people. Once done, go towards the water, you can toss the coin you found earlier into it for 1 approval. Go to the left of the water and climb up the white trellis. This will put you in Off-limit area, losing approval over time, so be quick. First go into the door in front of you. On the left in the back is a bookshelf. Use ping to find a hidden switch. Activate it and go inside the secret room and pick up the letter on the desk. Now go back outside and open the door on the right with the Halla Statuette you picked up earlier. Pick up the Negotiations inside. Afterwards, a bell will start to ring. Hurry back to the Ballroom, else you'll lose approval.

    Part 5 - Grand Ballroom

At the ballroom you'll be confronted by Morrigan. Dialogue doesn't matter.

    Part 6 - Servant's Quarters / Gardens / Grand Apartments

Go towards the quest marker after the conversation. You're in off-limit space again, so be quick. Equip your armor and weapons and examine the corpse in front of you. Go left outside and at the fountain go right. Skip all of the fights you come across. Follow along the walls from the building on your left and you'll find an entrance in the back corner. Go straight ahead, skip the room on your left and go inside the first room on your left. Go up the stairs in the corner on the left. Once up the stairs, go into the room straight ahead. Follow the path until you get to the quest marker. Defeat all enemies here.

Afterwards a conversation will start. Dialogue doesn't matter.

After the conversation, follow the path the woman took, take a u-turn at the end and go towards the quest marker. This will lead you back to the Guest Wing. Now you'll need to be quick. Go up the stairs and towards the Ballroom. Close to the two huge statues where you eavesdropped on the elves earlier you'll see three guards on the right. Talk to them and choose the following dialogue options for extra approval:
    - The stories I could tell!
    - You should talk to Cullen.

Now run back to the Ballroom, but don't go inside yet. Wait for the second bell to ring. Your character will say something about being fashionably late, which will give you extra approval. Wait any long to enter the ballroom and you'll lose approval.

    Part 7 - Grand Ballroom

Once inside the ballroom you'll be greeted by Duchess Florianne. Choose the following dialogue for a lot of approval:
    - May I help you?
    - Let's dance.
    - Why don't you educate me.
    - Is that what we both want?
    - Which am I to you?
    - I trust the Inquisition.
    - Isn't everyone?

Afterwards you'll start a conversation with Josephine and your advisors. Choose the following dialogue.
    - I got some information.
    - I found Venatori agents.
    - We're not doing that.
    - We save the empress.

Part 8 - Royal Wing / Royal Quarters

Go towards the quest marker afterwards. You'll be in off-limit space again, so be quick once more. Equip your weapons and armor again and go up the stairs. Go to the door in the back and enter it to start a new conversation. Dialogue doesn't matter.

Go towards the quest marker and you'll meet up with Florianne again. Dialogue doesn't matter.

After the fight you'll talk to a man. Dialogue doesn't matter, but if you have the "Underworld Knowledge" Inquisition Perk, you can recruit him as an agent which is useful for the Persuasive trophy. Quickly move towards the quest marker once more.

    Part 9 - Grand Ballroom / Finale

After the conversation with the man, you'll meet up with Cullen. Choose the following dialogue:
    - I'll talk with Florianne (It's important you choose this option.)
    - It's over.
    - Take her away.

All the dialogue afterwards doesn't matter. That's it.

  • Land a single blow in excess of 1,000 damage in single-player mode.

This will come over time. As you level up, get new gear and skills you'll easily get up to a few thousand damage

  • Craft an item from Tier 4 materials in all non-masterwork slots in single-player mode.

Every materials has a Tier tied to it. You can check the tier by reading the material description at the bottom of the screen in the crafting materials inventory. Tier 4 is the highest Tier and there are only three Tier 4 materials: Dragon Bones, Dragon Scales and Dragon Webbings. All of these only drop from Dragons. For locations on where to find Dragons, please see the Dragons' Bane trophy.

Once you've acquired some Tier 4 materials, go to a blacksmith and choose to craft a weapon or armor. Helmets are your best choice if you don't have many Tier 4 materials or don't want to waste them, since these only have two upgrade slots. Select the slots, insert the Tier 4 materials (check the bottom description for the Tier rank) and press to craft it.

If you don't want to lose your Tier 4 materials, save before doing this and reload once you have the trophy. You can also use a duplication exploit to get more Tier 4 materials. See the Inquisitor trophy on how to do this.

  • Upgrade your alchemic potions, grenades, or tonics 30 times in a single playthrough.

If you go to an Upgrade Potions table in Skyhold or any Keep, you'll be able to see all the potions you've unlocked, their upgrades and what is needed for the upgrades. With just the few potions you have, you won't able to get 30 upgrades in total. You'll need to find new potions, tonics and grenades through recipes. There are 3 Potions in total. The Healing Potion has 2 upgrades, The Regen Potion has 6 upgrades and the Lyrium Potion has 4 upgrades. There are 7 Tonics in total, all of them have 5 upgrades. And finally there are 5 Grenades in total, four of which have 5 upgrades and one has 3 upgrades. The total amount of upgrades available is 70.

Many of the upgrades require rare herbs. These are found in the wilderness and you need to get a bit lucky to receive them. When you get to Skyhold, you'll receive the "Nursery Seeds" quest to gather seeds. Whenever you pick up a herb, or even a rare herb, you have a chance of obtaining a seed of that herb. You'll be able to plant whatever you seed you have in the Skyhold Garden and easily harvest them there. For more info on this, see the Botanist trophy. Before picking up a Rare Herb, manually save your game. If the Herb didn't give you a seed, reload that save and try again. This might take a few tries, but shouldn't take more than five tries. You can also leave an area and return right after as this will immediately respawn all herbs you've harvested.

There's a Inquisition Perk called Optimal Cutting, which gives you a 10% chance to receive more herbs each time you harvest a herb. The Eagle-Eyed Inquisition perk will increase the range of the ping (search) function. Herbs that are farther away will be easier to find. They also show up on your minimap as a fading dot. The Trainee, Veteran and Master Herbalist perks give you an one time only batch of herbs per perk. They also have a change of giving you herb seeds if you don't have them already. Whether they're worth it or not, is up to you. You can always save before using it, obtain the trophy and reload that save afterwards. You'll of course lose all your upgraded potions and whatever else you did in the meantime.

Click here for a complete guide on the Recipe Locations, the upgrades, the Herbs required, all the common/rare Herb locations and all the Herbs you can receive from the Trainee, Veteran and Master Herbalist Perks. This guide also includes some extra tips.

  • Slay 10 high dragons in single-player mode.

Dragons are one of the strongest enemies in the game. There are a total of 10 Dragons that you can defeat. They won't respawn once defeated. If you leave mid fight, they will regain their health. Dragons aren't that difficult, just make sure to match their level or be at least close to it. Their difficulty depends entirely on what difficulty you're playing and you and your companion's levels. Make sure to use tactical mode to see the Dragon's strength and weaknesses.

Here's a list of all the Dragons in order of their level with their location and any prerequisites.

Fereldan Frostback - Level 12 - The Hinterlands

    Northern Hunter - Level 13 - Crestwood

Abyssal High Dragon - Level 14 - The Western Approach

You need to lure this dragon before you can attack it. In order to do this, you'll need to start the "Abyssal High Dragon" quest. In order to start this quest, you'll need to complete multiple quests for Researcher Frederic. If you go to Location Nr1 you'll find the Draconology quest that wants you to find Frederic. Frederic can be found at Location Nr2. Go to Frederic and complete each quest he gives you to lure the dragon. You'll need to complete the following quests: A Manuscript of Some Authority, Draconology, Hunting Patterns, How to Lure a Dragon, Frederic's Livelihood, Sharper White Claws. Once all those are done, you'll receive the "Abyssal High Dragon" quest in which you'll need to kill the Dragon at Location Nr3.

Gamoran Stormrider - Level 15 - The Exalted Plains

Before you can reach this Dragon, you'll need to go to Location Nr1 and unlock an operation there. Once you've claimed it, go to your War Table and start the operation, which will open the path to the Dragon. On your path to the dragon you'll need to solve a puzzle inside The Dead Hand dungeon (Location Nr2) before you can continue. This involves controlling and positioning of your characters and three companions.

You can actually skip the puzzle entirely. "If you fast travel to the camp and then walk forward towards the ruins, you can go left at some point in those ruins (instead of continuing straight ahead and going to 'The Dead Hand' cave). This will take you straight to the dragon area (The Crow Fens). You'll actually end up closer to the dragon." Thanks Aruberikku.

Greater Mistal - Level 17 - Emerald Graves

Vinsomer - Level 19 - The Storm Coast

You can only get here by using a boat. The boat is located deep in a dungeon (Location Nr1). This dungeon is locked however, and to unlock it you need to start the "Red Water" quest. You unlock the Red Water quest by going to your War Table, on the Ferelden side is an operation called "Red Templars on the Storm Coast". Unlocking this operation will start the Red Water quests. If you don't see the Red Templars operation, it means you haven't progressed enough into the story. During or after the side quest you'll be able to use a boat to get to the Dragon (Location Nr2).

Sandy Howler - Level 20 - Hissing Wastes

Hivernal - Level 19 - Emprise Du Lion
Kaltenzahn - Level 21 - Emprise Du Lion
Highland Ravager - Level 23 - Emprise Du Lion

These Dragons require you to capture the Suledin Keep first (Location Nr2). As soon as you enter Emprise Du Lion, talk to the towns people (Location Nr1). A woman called Poulin will give you a quest called "Take Back the Lion". Finish this quest to receive the "Capturing Suledin Keep" quest. Once you've captured the keep, go to location Nr3 and unlock the operation there. Now go to your War Table and find the operation on the Orlais side of the table. Complete the operation and you'll be able to get to these three dragons (Location Nr4, 5, 6).

  • Finish the single-player campaign on at least Hard without lowering the difficulty.

See the Inquisitor trophy for tips.

  • Finish the single-player campaign on Nightmare without lowering the difficulty.

WARNING: While playing on Nightmare, never press to "Reset" your settings in the option menu. Doing so will set the difficulty on Normal.

Nightmare is the highest difficulty. Enemies will hit harder and are harder to kill. It's advised to use the Tactical cam to evaluate your enemies before entering a fight, and there's no shame in running away or not attacking enemies when you don't have to. Once you've completed the final story mission on Nightmare and obtained the trophy, you can lower the difficulty if you want to.

Some tips on how to beat Nightmare.

    Save often
Save often and don't constantly overwrite your save files, especially before starting a story quest. If it ends up being too hard, you won't always be able to leave.

    Character Race
Each race gets a starting bonus. Humans receive an extra skill point after creating their character. Elves receive a 25% ranged defense bonus. Dwarfs receive a 25% magic defense bonus. And Qunari receive a 10% physical defense bonus.

Certain armors are race restricted. Qunari can wear considerable less armor types. Humans are the least restricted.

    Classes
Any class will do, but some are better suited for Nightmare. Mages and Archers have the advantage of range. This works really well, since you'll be able to stand on places where enemies can't get to, or even attack enemies from a range where they won't do anything at all. Rogues also have the ability to go invisible, which is a great skill to use throughout the game.

    Specializations
As with all the classes, any class can do good on Nightmare, but the Knight-Enchanter mage specialization and the Rogue's Assassin will make Nightmare a breeze. You don't have to choose these yourself, as you can always have companions with you with those specializations. With the Knight-Enchanter you practically become a god. With a constant Barrier (and Guard), huge stamina regen, quick cooldowns and many other offense skills, it's hard to die if you're attacking enemies. Assassin Rogue's can use range, critical damage and stealth to their advantage.

Your companions use the following classes and specializations:

    Rogues
    Cole: Assassin
    Varric: Artificer
    Sera: Tempest

    Warriors
    Cassandra: Templar
    Blackwall: Champion
    Iron Bull: Reaver

    Mages
    Dorian: Necromancer
    Vivienne: Knight-Enchanter
    Solas: Rift Mage

Consider a balanced party. My preference was myself as an Archer/Assassin. Vivienne/Solas as Support (Spirit/Winter Skill Trees). Blackwall and Cassandra as tanks (Champion/Templar/Weapon and Shield/Vanguard Skill Trees). Each class also has an unique ability. Mages can use Energize to create new paths or reveal hidden loot and light braziers for Veilfire. Warriors can bash in walls to create new paths or reveal hidden loot. Rogues can pick locked doors to reveal hidden loot. They can also use the Deft Hands, Fine Tools Inquisition Perk.

If they don't have the correct skills, or you need more points, go to the merchant at the Undercroft in Skyhold or at the Blacksmith in Haven to purchase a Tactician's Renewal amulet. Equip this on any of your characters to reset their skill points. If you've used Amulets of Power (amulets that give you skill points), you'll receive those points back as well.

    Level Requirements
Try to level up as much as possible. Do as many quests as possible before diving right into a main quest. Over leveling will help out greatly, especially with bosses. You can also pick up inquisition perks that increase your experience gain.

    Location Levels
Main story quests will give you an advised level range before starting the mission. It might be wise to be at least the max advised level, since you'll encounter enemies with such a level.

All the different regions also have different zone levels. At one point you can encounter enemies lower than your own level, and travelling a bit further you might come across enemies on a higher level than you.

    Inquisition Perks
There are a few Inquisition Perks that can help you out on your journey.

All the Knowledge perks give you new dialogue options, which can help you out in many ways.
Forces: Massache's Method. Advanced and Master Focus. True Grit. More Healing Potions.
    Secrets: Deft Hands, Fine Tools.
Inquisition: Antivan and Imperial Court Tailoring. Exclusive Training. Tempered Glass Flasks .

    Monster Research
You'll often loot valuables from enemies which have a yellow icon background. These are monster research items. Turn these in as they will give you experience and will show you enemy strength and weaknesses when using tactical mode. Find enough research items of the same enemy and you'll receive a combat bonus for those enemies.

    Crafting
While that purple item you just found might be pretty nice, use the crafting mechanics as much as possible. You can create some pretty interesting armor and weapons, usually better than anything you find. Some materials add guard to each hit, giving you extra defense, or what to think of a 10% chance to cast the Assassin's Hidden Blade ability with 5 added hits on each hit, doing massive damage.

    Potions
Upgrade your potions as much as possible for better results. Also try to find as many recipes as possible for new potions that can help out greatly. For more info, see the Master Alchemist trophy.

    Missions and Bosses
    - Support the Mages or Templars? At some point, you'll have to choose between supporting the Mages ("In Hushed Whispers" quest) or the Templars ("Champions of the Just" Quest). Side with the mages if you want an easier boss fight.
    - During the "In Your Heart Shall Burn" quest in Haven, when you need to turn the Trebuchet, at the last one each time you turn the wheel enemies will appear. Only turn the wheel fully once each time, else you might get overwhelmed. Once you reach 50%, a boss will appear which you can skip entirely if you want to. As soon as you hit 50%, move your companions away from the trebuchet as far as possible and set them to hold their position (double tap while in tactical mode). Now you should move in the opposite direction to the back of the Trebuchet and wait for the boss and the enemies to spawn. They should target your companions. Now quickly turn the trebuchet up to 100% to completely skip the boss fight. Make sure your companions drink potions if they're low on health.
    - During the "What Pride Had Wrought" quest, choose to finish the ritual instead of dropping down into the hole. By doing so, you'll be able to recruit allies that will help you in this fight.
    - During the "What Pride Had Wrought" quest, choose to let Morrigan drink from the well.

This will make the final boss fight easier. (This will not give you the missable On Burning Wings trophy if you haven't obtained it already.)

    Exploits
There are a couple of exploits you can use that will benefit you on Nightmare.

All exploits except for "Instantly Completing Operations" have been fixed. Ignore the update or remove it if you want to use those exploits.

    Infinite Upgrade Materials:
Go to your inventory, then crafting materials and select any of the material you want to duplicate. Press to move it to valuables. Now go to a merchant and select the valuables tab. Highlight the item and in quick succession press than . If done right, the materials will be gone, but you'll see a Sell All menu. Press to sell the max amount. Now go to the buyback tab, press and you'll see the materials you just sold doubled. Buy them back to get more materials.

    Infinite Money
Use the method from above, but sell all the unwanted materials. Pick the highest value material for quicker money.

    Max Influence Rank
Once you're in Skyhold, at some point you'll unlock the "Power For a Price" operation at the War Table on the Ferelden side. Unlock this operation to obtain a merchant in Skyhold. This Merchant sells books that increase your Influence. She's located on the left if you face the main gate of Skyhold. Now in order to instantly get max Influence (Level 20), open her shop and buy as many of the books as possible. Now don't close the shop. Instead hit and sell back all the books you've just bought. Once you've done this a couple of times, exit the shop and your influence level will increase immediately. Repeat the process if needed.

    Infinite Skill Points
Throughout the game, you may find Amulets of Power. These will give you or a companion an extra skill point. The Amulet's description will tell you who can use the Amulet. Some of these are found in loot chests and the great thing about loot chests is that if you leave at least one item in the chest, travel to a new area and come back again, all the loot you just took is back.

When you unlock Crestwood, you'll receive the "Still Waters" quest. Complete this quest first. Once done, you'll need to acquire the "Deft Hands, Fine Tools" Inquisition Perk. Go to the Village of Crestwood and there's a locked door there that a rogue can unlock. Enter the house and you'll be able to loot something in front of you. Loot it, but only pick up the Amulet of Power. Now fast travel to the Storm Coast for example and fast travel back to the village afterwards. You'll be able to pick up the amulet again. Repeat as many times as you would like.

    Instantly Complete Operations
Want to quickly finish a War table mission for possible rewards? Forward your console's clock to instantly finish the mission. If you forward your clock past 00:00 (12am), the mission timer will set itself to 24 hours. When this happens, forward the date by 1 day instead.

  • Unlock 15 astrariums in a single playthrough.

There are a total of 15 Astrariums. Astrariums can be found in The Hinterlands, Storm Coast, Crestwood, The Western Approach, and Emerald Graves. Each area has three Astrariums. These are represented by a star icon on your (mini)map. Finding and completing one will put the remaining Astrariums in that area on your map. All Astrariums except for two can be accessed as soon as you enter the area. Two in the Western Approach require you to unlock operations first. These operations clear the sulfer clouds blocking your path. These operations appear as a small flag on your map. See the image guide below for the exact locations.

Astrariums are connect the dots puzzles. You'll need to copy the exact image of what you see in the bottom right corner. Count how many lines are connected to each dot. If all the dots have an even number of lines connected, it means you can start the puzzle where ever you want. The puzzle will also end at the same dot as where you started. If there are dots with an uneven number of lines connected, start there. If there are multiple dots with uneven lines connected, start at any of them and end at the remaining one. Each area -except for Crestwood- has one puzzle with extra stars that are not part of the actual puzzle. Once you've completed all three Astrariums in an area a dungeon will open with loot inside. These dungeons will be marked on your map. They're not required for this trophy however.

  • Spend 10 points in a single ability tree with any one single-player character.

If there's a skill tree you like, you'll get this easily. If not, go to the merchant at the Undercroft in Skyhold and purchase the Tactician's Renewal Amulet. This will reset your skill points. Before using it, manually save your game. Use the amulet, distribute your skill points and hit to apply the changes and reload your save file after obtaining the trophy.

  • Earn 50,000 or more gold across all single-player playthroughs.

You'll come across so much stuff you don't need, that you'll easily end up with quite some money. 50.000 gold is going to take quite some time, however. This can be done over multiple playthroughs, so keep this one for last. If you still need it though, there's a simple trick to quickly achieve this. Go to any merchant, sell anything (preferably something valuable), and buy it right back afterwards from the buyback tab. Keep repeating this until the trophy unlocks. You can also use an infinite money exploit. For more on that see the Inquisitor trophy.

  • Enter the heart of the Solasan temple.

The Solasan temple is located in The Forbidden Oasis. When you enter the Forbidden Oasis for the first time, you'll receive a quest called "The Temple of Pride". This quest leads you to the entrance of the temple and it will be marked on your map as a dungeon after finding it.

To open the door to the entrance, you'll need 6 shards. Enter the dungeon and at the very back you'll see three color coded doors. Each of these doors require 6 shards to be opened as well. Behind each door you'll need to fight off enemies. In each of these rooms is another door that requires 12 shards to be opened. Behind those doors is a room with one more door that requires 18 shards to be opened. Each first room holds level 7 Corpses, the second room has level 11 Corpses and the final rooms have level 15 Corpses and a miniboss. The green path has an Arcane Horror miniboss, the blue path has a Revenant, and the red path has a Rage Demon.

Once you've opened all these doors (9 in total), a door close to the entrace of the temple opens up. Inside you'll find level 19 Corpses and a level 20+ Pride Demon. You don't need to kill them to receive the trophy.

To unlock the Forbidden Oasis, you'll need to discover and pick up at least one shard. In order to enter the heart of the temple, you'll need to obtain 114 shards in total. You'll need to find every shard in the game to reach this total. For more info on shards, the shard totals per area and the locations of the Ocularums, see the Sharp-Eyed trophy.

  • Discover a campsite and establish at least one Inquisition camp in 10 wilderness areas.

**GLITCHED** It's possible that the trophy won't unlock, even when you've discovered each and every camp in all areas. A possible fix is to start a new game and set up a camp in the Hinterlands. If that didn't work set up camps in more areas.

Throughout the game you'll come across these little yellow tent icons on your (mini)map. If you go to the locations, you'll see an object which you can interact with. This will place a camp where you can rest, fill up your potions, change your companions, craft some basic items, and equip your potions. This will also act as a quick travel location. In order to obtain this trophy, you'll need to establish at least one camp in 10 different areas, as in 10 different maps, not just 10 in total. After establishing your first camp you'll obtain the Trailblazer trophy.

There are exactly 10 areas where you can establish a camp. You unlock new areas by using the War Table. The areas are The Hinterlands, Fallow Mire, Storm Coast, Crestwood, The Western Approach, The Forbidden Oasis, The Exalted Plains, The Emerald Graves, Hissing Wastes, and Emprise Du Lion.

  • Liberate three keeps in a single playthrough.

A keep is a bit like a camp site, but is much bigger and offers more options to you. Keeps need to be liberated, which is quite simple. All you have to do is find the keep, kill every enemy inside and raise the Inquisition flag at the very end to claim it as your own. There are a total of three keeps that you can liberate. Keep Caer Bronach in Crestwood, Keep Griffon Wing in the Western Approach, and Keep Suledin in Emprise du Lion.

    All the Keep locations.

    Keep Caer Bronach in Crestwood.
As soon as you enter Crestwood, you'll receive the "Still Waters" quest. Follow that quest to reach the keep.

Keep Griffon Wing in the Western Approach.

Keep Suledin in Emprise du Lion.
As soon as you enter Emprise Du Lion, talk to the towns people. A woman called Poulin will give you a quest called "Take Back the Lion". Finish this quest to receive the "Capturing Suledin Keep" quest.

  • Complete 50 missions or operations in a single playthrough.

Complete a total of 50 missions or operations at the War Table to receive the trophy. Start a new operation whenever you get back to the War Table and this will easily come over time. For more info on operations see the Commander trophy.

  • Completely upgrade one throne.

Once you're in Skyhold, you'll receive your very own throne. In order to upgrade it, you'll need to go to the War Table and find the "Gather Coin" operation at the very left on the Ferelden side. Select it and send any of the three people to gather some coin. Once the mission is finished you'll more than likely receive coins, but if you're lucky, you'll also receive a Throne Accessory. In order to obtain the trophy, it needs to be a Throne Accessory II. Accessories for different Thrones can be found from all the other "Resource" missions which counts towards the trophy as well.

If you're unlucky or want to speed up the progress, forward your console's clock by the amount of time needed for the mission to finish to immediately complete it. If you set your console clock past 00:00 (12am), the mission timer will increase to 24 hours. Forward the date by 1 day if this happens, changing the time won't work in this instance.

  • Acquire 10 Inquisition agents in a single playthrough.

    **MISSABLE**

    **GLITCHED**
This may not unlock once you've acquired 10 Agents. Before obtaining 10 agents, make a save file and don't overwrite it. You'll probably want to use this save file for when this gets fixed. In the meantime keep recruiting agents if possible, as this will more than likely unlock somewhere between 11-15 agents acquired. It's also possible that some Agents don't count towards this trophy as some won't show up on your Inquisition perk list, but even with 10 or more agents on the perks list the trophy might not unlock.

There are at least 22 Agents that you can acquire, 21 of which you can obtain in one playthrough. Some of these won't do anything other than adding a small War Table mission (operations), but most of them will be added to your Inquisition Perk list, reducing the time needed for your advisors to complete operations. They will also count towards any perk that requires a number of perk points to be spend first to unlock.

Acquiring agents usually happens through side quests. The majority of these agents are easily missable, only a select few can be recruited at any point in the game, but it's nowhere near 10. Click here for a complete guide on Agents.

  • Reach level 20 in single-player mode.

**GLITCHED** Make sure that you control your own character when you hit level 20. If you hit level 20 while controlling one of your companions, you'll need to reload an earlier save and level up again.

You get experience for almost anything you do. Quests, defeating enemies, examining items, reading letters, monster research, obtaining codex entries etc. Once you finish the story and some side quests here and there, you should be somewhere at level 16-18. On your way to obtaining the platinum, you'll probably be well over level 20 already. One of the fastest way to gain levels is by closing Rifts and defeating dragons. You need to do both for the Marked for Greatness and the Dragons' Bane trophies anyway.

You can also acquire Inquisition Perks that increase your experience for every enemy killed by 5%. Or perks that give you more experience for turning in monster research items and obtaining codex entries.

  • Level up the Inquisition to rank 10.

For many things you do, you gain influence. Every time you gain influence, you'll see a bar at the bottom of the screen with your level. Each time you level up your inquisition, you'll receive a perk point. You can spend these at the War Table.

Reaching level 10 isn't all that hard considering the max is 20 and you get Influence for many things you do. You gain Influence by completing quests, sealing rifts, establishing new camps, claiming keeps, requisitions and recruiting agents. An easy way to obtain some extra Influence while you're doing missions is to start Operations on the War Table. Many of these will reward you with 30/60 Influence. You can also use an exploit to instantly gain rank 10 (or even rank 20) Influence. For more on that, see the Inquisitor trophy.

  • Become friends with at least three of your inner circle in one playthrough.

    **MISSABLE**

After finishing the last story mission "Doom Upon All The World", you won't be able to become friends with anyone, or finish any of the related quests you had going. Make sure to obtain this trophy before starting this mission, or manually save before the last mission and finish this trophy afterwards by reloading the save file.

Each time you make a decision in the game, mainly through dialogue, or sometimes by killing certain enemies, you'll gain -or lose- approval from your Inner Circle. This includes all your recruited companions (Cassandra, Solas, Varric, Sera, Blackwall, Iron Bull, Vivienne, Dorian, Cole) and your advisors (Josephine, Cullen, Leliana). Pick any three characters, or more, you want to become friends with and try to focus on them. Gaining approval will mostly happen through dialogue options that fit their character. For example, Varric always jokes around and uses sarcasm. If you were to do the same during dialogue, he might approve.

You'll need to finish Inner Circle quests to get the most approval. All your companions and advisors have these personal quests that you can finish. Each time you go to Haven or Skyhold, talk to them and ask them about themselves. By doing this enough, you'll gain an Inner Circle quest. Whenever you get such a mission, make sure to bring along that person (can't bring advisors with you though) as that will increase their approval even more. Throughout the quest, whenever faced with a choice, always make the choice that aligns with their character. Be careful with some of the dialogue options and quests though, as they may be related to romancing that person if available. While this does give you approval and you do need to romance someone for the Beloved and Precious trophy anyway, you probably don't want to end up with the "wrong" approval .

If you can't seem to get any of their quests, exhaust all their dialogue options. If none are left, leave Haven/Skyhold and travel back and they might have new dialogue. Or advance a little further into the story. Be careful though, as previously mentioned, doing the last story mission will lock you out of this trophy.

Here's a list of all the characters and their Inner Circle quests. When you've completed all of the quests for someone, do speak to them afterwards on occasion as you may still gain approval.Josephine:

  • Collect 250 codex entries in a single playthrough.

Pretty much everything you do will unlock Codex entries. Characters you meet, obtaining materials, enemies you defeat, places you visit, loot, letters and books and all kinds of stuff you can examine. The list goes on. This will come pretty quickly, don't worry about it.

  • Defeat 1,000 demons in single-player mode.

This trophy is for defeating demons specifically, not just any enemy. Demons are those that come out of rifts, and you'll occasionally come across them at other places. Don't worry too much about this, since you'll come across more than enough demons throughout the game. You need to seal 75 Rifts in total for the Marked for Greatness trophy which gets you quite a few demon kills. The total carries over between playthroughs.

  • Defeat 2,500 enemies in single-player mode.

This is for defeating any enemy, 2500 in total. Demons also count towards this. The total carries over between playthroughs.

  • Complete 20 requisition requests in a single playthrough.

Every time you set up camp somewhere, a requisition officer will be walking around. Look for the "!" on your (mini)map inside the camp. Talk to her to receive a requisition request. These requests require you to find a certain amount of upgrade materials. All these materials can be found in the same area as where you obtained the quest. Some of the materials can be bought at merchants as well. Some of them will also require herbs. There a few requisitions that require specific items that aren't upgrade materials or herbs. Don't bother with these as there are plenty that require normal upgrade materials.

Once you've found these materials, you'll need to go to a requisition table and craft the requisition. Requisition tables can be found at every camp, keep and in Skyhold. Look for the upgrade mentioned in the quest (or look at the upgrade description/materials) and craft it. You'll need to do this 20 times in a total. There are more than 20 requisitions in total, each area having multiple requisitions. Some of the areas will recycle the same requisitions a few times over. Start all requisitions possible and complete whatever you can. After completing a requisition, you can go back to the area from where you got that requisition and start a new one.

If you don't feel like obtaining all the materials, all the upgrade materials can be duplicated through an exploit. For more info on that see the Inquisitor trophy.

  • Seal 75 rifts in a single playthrough.

Rifts are explained to you in the prologue of the game. Whenever you get close to a rift, enemies will spawn. Defeat these enemies and the rift will lose health. Defeat all enemies and you'll be able to close a rift. During the fight you can also disrupt the rift, this will damage and stun all demons still alive. Be careful though, as you're completely vulnerable while doing so. A great tactic is to bring a Mage with Dispel or Spell Purge. Use Dispel/Spell Purge on an enemy that's about to spawn to instantly destroy it. Do this before the dot on the minimap turns red though, otherwise it won't work.

Throughout the game you'll come across Rifts. Rifts that you find in any area will appear on your map, and any Rift tied to it will also appear on your map. This will also start a quest tied to those Rifts. There are multiple of these in each area. There are a total of 70 Rifts you can find like this. There are also Rifts that you need to close during Story and Side quests. In order to obtain this trophy you'll have to close almost every Rift of those 70 if you've finished the story.

    Total Rifts per area.

    Haven: None
    The Hinterlands: 11
    The Storm Coast: 3
    The Fallow Mire: 2
    Crestwood: 4
    The Western Approach: 8
    The Forbidden Oasis: 5
    The Emerald Graves: 11
    The Exalted Plains: 11
    Emprise Du Lion: 6

DLC: Jaws of Hakkon

4 trophies

  • Destroy all Winter Shards and light all the fires in the Old Temple.

    Missable

This trophy takes place within the Old Temple dungeon.

This trophy is missable because there are 3 Winter Shards that can only be obtained during an unrepeatable boss fight. Make a save file at the front door before you enter!

Here are some tips to help with this trophy:

    • You will first be able to reach the Old Temple during the DLC storyline quest Ameridan's End.
    • There are 15 total objects you need to interact with; 7 unlit fire braziers and 8 Winter Shards.
    • One of the fire braziers requires a Rogue that can unlock the door protecting it.
    • Only the Winter Shards inside of the Old Temple count, the ones that are outside of it's entrance have no effect on this trophy.
    • Prior to reaching the boss area (you can clearly see him in the background when you reach it) there are 12 objects. Once you reach the boss area, you will not be able to backtrack unless you exit the dungeon and re-enter through the front door. The boss will spawn 3 missable Winter Shards during the confrontation.
    • The objects are all in easy-to-find locations however there is possibly one that you might overlook. The first area ends with a locked door that requires an Ancient Key to proceed. Next to this door is a pile of rubble. You are able to climb up this rubble pile into another area that has one of the unlit braziers.
  • Impress Avvar of Stone-Bear Hold and gain their friendship.

This trophy is for the optional Guests of the Hold quest line.

This trophy is NOT missable as far as I can tell. This trophy requires gaining positive influence five separate times with the Avvar clan. There are seven separate quests available that can do this. Of these seven, two of them have the possibility of being locked out of thereby preventing any future Avvar influence gain. However, this leaves five quests that, as far as I can tell, cannot be permanently failed; you either complete them or they just sit there until you do.

This optional quest line cannot be completed until the DLC story-line is complete. You can complete all objectives of the quest, but the NPC won't "complete" the Guests of the Hold quest until that point. The trophy will pop after you have spoken with the quest giver the final time and you see the "Quest Complete" notification.

Details of the Avvar Clan quests can be found below.

Note: Do not forget about the Search ability via !

    • Jaws of Hakkon
Automatic active quest after entering Frostback Basin the first time.

    • Avvar Allies
Automatic active quest that starts after Jaws of Hakkon is complete.

    • Guests of the Hold
Quest becomes available after Avvar Allies is complete.

Given by Thane Svarah Sun-Hair in Stone-Bear Hold. Initially you will see a rock climbing event when you first enter the town. She will be standing opposite from it on a small wooden platform. After that she will be sitting on her throne inside of the small cave next to this area.

    • A Father's Name
Quest becomes available after starting the Guests of the Hold quest.

Given by Gyda Mrydotten in Stone-Bear Hold. Facing outwards from Svarah Sun-Hair's cave, on your left you will see several paths. She is located at the end of the path that goes downwards into another cave area.

This quest can be failed influence-wise. At the end, you must give the quest items to the Master of the Hunt (Huntsman) and not to Finn. Both of these NPCs are located next to each other within Stone-Bear Hold.

    • Hakkon's Trials
Quest becomes available after starting the Guests of the Hold quest.

Given by Trainer Arrken (Arena Master) in Stone-Bear Hold. Facing outwards from Svarah Sun-Hair's cave, on your left you will see several paths. Only one of these paths goes sharply upwards; this is the path you want. You will see the Master of the Hunt halfway up; continue onward to encounter the trainer.

This quest has caused some confusion because you must use a Requisition table to continue the quest. After you talk with Trainer Arrken, go to any Requisition table and make "An Offering for the Arena". It requires 2 Silverite and 2 Everite. Giving this offering to Trainer Arrken will give you more dialog options so that you can enter the arena.

    • In Exile
Quest becomes available after starting the Guests of the Hold quest.

Given by Sigrid Gulsdotten. She is found near or inside a remote cabin that is located south of the Ridgeline camp. You need to use switchback paths to reach her higher location.

While there are two different ways this quest can end, both paths give Avvar influence.

The Augur NPC is located above Svarah Sun-Hair in Stone-Bear Hold. From her cave, head to the right and use the first trail you see on your right side that goes above her cave.

    • It Remains to be Seen
Quest becomes available after starting the Guests of the Hold quest.

There are five enchanted skulls located in the Swamp Kuldsdotten region, which is the purplish area north of theSwampside Camp (to get there easily, run down the river right next to the camp). These skulls are each located within an open hanging pyramidal fixture. The surrounding area is dark and they are located in areas of glowing fire-light. The quest begins when you pick up the first skull. Since there are no quest markers this can be frustrating but my advice is to "look for the light" areas.

    • Up and Away
Quest becomes available after starting the Guests of the Hold quest.

Given by Linna who is located very close to the Fast Travel stone by the Boathouse (south-west of Stone-Bear Hold). This quest does have map markers that are helpful in keeping the quest moving along.

While there are two different ways this quest can end, both paths give Avvar influence.

    • Send Relics of Tyrdda Bright-Axe
This is a War Table mission with two prerequisites: Avvar Allies and War Table: Locate Weapon of Tyrdda Bright-Axe. The first should already have been completed by this point. The prerequisite war table mission only appears once all of the Tyrdda Bright-Axe landmarks have been discovered in the Hinterlands region.

You may choose any adviser you wish as all end with a positive Avvar friendship gain.

    • Send Skywatcher to Stone-Bear Hold
This War Table mission only exists if you invited Skywatcher to join the Inquisition during your Fallow Mire quests from the main game storyline. I think it is possible to deny his entrance into the Inquisition and therefore this War Table quest may not be available/possible.

    • Hakkon Wintersbreath
This is a main storyline quest; there are several prerequisite quests before it. However, I have listed it here as you must complete this quest before you can complete Guests of the Hold. After completing Hakkon Wintersbreath, the next time you speak with Svarah Sun-Hair the dialog will result in the completion of Guests of the Hold
  • Uncover the secrets of a legendary figure.

Story related and cannot be missed.

For quest information, see Winter’s End below.

  • Dispel a myth of ancient days.

Story related and cannot be missed.

A list of the main storyline quests can be found below.

This is the list of main storyline quests and their order. My recommendation would be to do the quests in the exact order listed below thereby satisfying the requirements to proceed along with the story.

For the most part the game is very good about providing quest trackers on the map and guiding you where you need to go. Do not forget about the Search ability via !

    • Jaws of Hakkon
Automatic active quest after entering Frostback Basin the first time.

    • Avvar Allies
Automatic active quest that starts after Jaws of Hakkon is complete.

    • Storvacker Caged
Quest becomes available after Avvar Allies is complete.

Given by Thane Svarah Sun-Hair in Stone-Bear Hold. Initially you will see a rock climbing event when you first enter the town. She will be standing opposite from it on a small wooden platform. After that she will be sitting on her throne inside of the small cave next to this area.

    • The Basin Beckons
Automatic quest, starts after Jaws of Hakkon is complete.

    • Worthy of Publication
Automatic quest, starts after The Basin Beckons is complete.

    • What Yet Lingers
Automatic quest, starts after The Basin Beckons is complete.

    • On Ameridan's Trail
Quest becomes available after Worthy of Publication and What Yet Lingers are complete.

Available from Thane Svarah Sun-Hair in Stone-Bear Hold.

Note: The floor switch puzzle that you encounter during this quest is NOT required in order to complete the quest. It is for grabbing loot only!

    • Ameridan's End
Quest becomes available after Storvacker Caged and On Ameridan's Trail are complete.

Available from Thane Svarah Sun-Hair in Stone-Bear Hold.

Note: The first area of the Old Temple has a locked door. After entering the Old Temple, the first right you can take has some crates next to an unlit brazier. The key is on these crates (you can visually see it), but you cannot actually pick it up unless you use the Search () function.

The Historian  trophy will pop as soon this quest completes.

    • Where Once We Walked (optional)
Automatic quest, starts after Ameridan's End is complete.

Whilst optional, doing this quest gives a great (+5) permanent bonus to your stats and does not take very long.

    • Hakkon Wintersbreath
Automatic quest, starts after Ameridan's End is complete.

The Winter’s End  trophy will pop as soon this quest completes.

DLC: The Descent

4 trophies

  • Complete a mission at the expedition table in the Legion of the Dead camp.

Extremely easy trophy. After you set up your first camp and go through some cutscenes, head over to the Expedition Table. This table is basically a mini version of the War Table in Skyhold but, of course, it is specific to the Deep Roads areas.

    • Select The Deep Roads area on the left.
    • Select Cullen for the only currently available request: Deep Roads Expeditions: Legion Camp Improvements.
    • No time is required for this trophy so the trophy will pop as soon as you proceed with this Expedition Table request.

Other requests are only available if you discover a marker for them during your travels in Deep Roads. Selecting any of these while interacting with the Expedition Table at base camp will cause this trophy to pop.

  • Defeat an ogre alpha.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Almost immediately after you enter the Deep Roads area you will be attacked by an Ogre Alpha. You cannot bypass this fight. The only real distinction with this Ogre is that it can pick a character up and basically disable them while it squeezes them. You must use another character to somehow stun or sleep the Ogre to make it drop the character it has grabbed. The trophy will pop as soon as the fight is over.

  • Help Shaper Valta discover secret dwarven history.

Story related and cannot be missed.

There is only one long main story quest-line called The Descent so you will not have to worry about any prerequisite side quests for trophies. Simply proceed down to the 6th level of Deep Roads; Shaper Valta (female Dwarf) will accompany you. Along the way the Shaper will see a few markings on the wall of old Dwarven text which produces cut-scenes. As the trophy suggests she is trying to figure out what is going on down below. The trophy will pop once you reach the boss on sub-level 6 as it is finally revealed what is really going on. There is nothing special you need to collect or do. I should mention that an optional side quest has you finding old gears lying all over the place. Three of these gears will be required by the story right away on sub-level 2. After that you don't need to pick any of them up for trophies.

  • End the earthquakes threatening the surface.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This fight is pretty straight forward. First attack The Guardian's appendages that can attack you to eliminate the damage they cause. After that start whittling away at the Lyrium spot(s) on its side. Even with my very good weapons this took me a long time to take out the Lyrium node on The Guardian.

The number one item to look out for is a flash attack that The Guardian performs. Every so often the boss will cause flashes of light to appear on the ground and large stalagmites will pierce upwards out of the ground. There will be many of them. Each one is proceeded by a flash of light on the ground. Run away from each spot as fast as you can. Even with my very good gear I was getting hit for 650 damage each time one hit me.

Its other attack is a slash attack. I suggest moving around when this slash attack comes (as a bow-wielding Rogue I think he only hit me once this way so I did not find this attack a big deal).

The trophy does not pop immediately after the boss is defeated. It will pop later during one of the cutscenes (you will be returning to base camp where Scout Harding is waiting).

DLC: Trespasser

11 trophies

  • Slay 10 great bears promoted by Grizzly End.

"Grizzly End" is a modifier that significantly strengthens all bears. For this trophy, only great bears count.

These can be found in Emerald Graves, South-West of the Briatos' Steps camp, north of the Hill Camp, and north of the Gracevine camp both above and below the river. If you are having trouble locating them or need them to respawn, teleport out of Emerald Graves and then come back. This should “reset” the area and allow the bears to respawn.

Simply activate the Grizzly End trial in the options menu then kill 10 Great Bears while it is on. The trophy should pop on the 10th and then you can turn the trial off.

NOTE: See below for a tip from Bl4ckwall on how best to farm this trophy:

Go to "Gracevine Camp" in "Emerald Graves" and once there, you should be facing an archway with 3 owl statues in front each of the pillars. Pass under it, down some steps and over a tree root, and you should notice a cobblestone-like path with what looks like clover plants growing only along the path. Once on the path, turn left and follow it past some big rocks. Keep following the path and you'll notice a large dead white tree in front of you and follow the path to the right. If you're lucky, you might encounter a bear here.

You'll pass over another large tree root and should see another rock on your right. The path will lead you to "The Rush Of Sighs", a river with a stone slab path across it. Across the river are two owl statues on either side of an entrance through some large boulders. Follow the path through and a Great Bear should be a bit further on to the right, attacking some helpless August Rams or not so helpless Brontos.

Deal with the Great Bear as you please and follow the path back to "Gracevine Camp". On your way back to camp you may find another Great Bear.

Follow this path back and forth until the Great Bears stop spawning, at which point you can either fast travel to a father away camp like "Hill Camp" and return to "Gracevine", or completely leave Emerald Graves and come back. Rinse and repeat until you've killed all 10.

  • Rest Easy trial always on in Emprise du Lion: claim Suledin Keep.

    *MISSABLE*

WARNING: Make sure you turn this trial on before you first step foot in Emprise du Lion. If you even just open the map and then go back to Skyhold, this trophy will be voided and you will have to revert to a previous save or start a new playthrough. The trial must be on at all times while inside Empruse du Lion.

"Rest Easy" is a modifier that makes you lose all aggregated Focus (for all members) any time you travel to or rest at a camp or stronghold. This trophy isn’t all that hard. First of all, you should build focus fairly quickly as you make your way to and capture Suledin Keep, as there are enough enemies to fight. Secondly, if you need to travel/rest to replenish supplies, losing your Focus only stops you from using your Focus abilities. The enemies are easy enough to kill without them.

  • Travel Light on for "In Hushed Whispers": finish the quest.

    *MISSABLE*

WARNING: Technically, the latest you can activate this and still get the trophy is immediately upon returning from Val Royeux when you meet Fiona in the main storyline. However, for safety as some people seem to have trouble with this, I suggest turning this trial on earlier, before your very first trip to Val Royeux. (Thanks to Purlinka and Kornfan2007 for the tips.)

Once you finish the "The Threat Remains" mission, you will be presented with two choices: Side with the Mages (In Hushed Whispers) or side with the Templars (Champions of the Just). For this trophy, you must side with the Mages in Redcliffe. You'll find this mission on the Ferelden side of the War Table. WARNING: Make sure you turn on this trial before activating the quest on the War Table.

"Travel Light" is a modifier that removes all supply caches from the game. In other words, the only way to resupply your potions would be to travel to or rest at a camp. If you are playing this on Normal or Easy difficulty, you shouldn't have too much of a problem with this. Just make sure you stay aware of your potion supply, and bring along Regeneration Potions just in case. Additionally, playing in Tactical Mode during combat may help lessen the number of potions needed by your companions as you'll be able to control what they do and get them out of danger.

Simply complete the mission and, once it finishes and you begin the mission to close the breach, the trophy will pop.

  • Rub Some Dirt on It on: slay the Hivernal high dragon.

*MISSABLE*: This is only missable in the sense that once this dragon is dead, it will not respawn so this must be completed on a playthrough where it is still alive.

"Rub Some Dirt on It" is a modifier that renders all healing potions useless, as each will only heal 1 hp. The trophy is fairly simple. Just turn on the trial prior to reaching the Hivernal dragon and, if you're doing this all on one playthrough, it's best to have finished any prior trials so that you won't be further handicapped. As the trophy makes healing potions useless, make sure to have barriers applied as often as possible and build up guard on your warriors. The fight isn't too hard as long as you are of a high enough level, be at least 19, though it will obviously be easier the higher level you are.

Once the dragon is defeated, the trophy will pop and you can turn off the trial.

The dragon is located in Emprise du Lion. You will have to complete the operation to repair the bridge first. The Hivernal dragon is in first ruin you come to on your right after crossing the bridge.

  • Defeat 20 foes promoted by Walk Softly.

"Walk Softly" is a modifier that gives some enemies new abilities or traits and so far, I've found that it seems random which enemies are affected by this and which are not. Just turn on the trial and keep killing enemies. This trophy can be achieved at any point in the game, though it's best not to do it on Nightmare as they can be quite difficult.

  • Even Ground on: slay a level 16 or higher Fereldan Frostback.

*MISSABLE*: This is only missable in the sense that once this dragon is dead, it will not respawn so this must be completed on a playthrough where it is still alive.

“Even Ground” is a modifier that scales enemies levels' to at least match your own, though they can also go higher. The Ferelden Frostback, located in the Hinterlands, is a level 12 dragon so you must be at least level 16 before you attempt this trophy. Once you're 16 and ready, turn on the trial and then travel to the Hinterlands and fight the dragon. Once it's dead the trophy will pop.

The Ferelden Frostback is located just North of the Dusklight Camp in the Hinterlands. It will fly high above you and shoot fireballs at you until you get close to its resting area.

NOTE: I cannot absolutely confirm this, but the rest of your party might also need to be level 16 before you attempt this to get the trophy. (Thanks to UnleashTheCASEY for this info.) In other words, if you kill the dragon when you are level 16 but one of your party members is only 15, you might not get the trophy then.

  • Take It Slow on: reach Skyhold at level 5 or less.

*MISSABLE* (I suggest saving often while attempting this so that you can go back in case you levelled up too much).

"Take It Slow" is a modifier that halves the amount of XP you get from everything and must be turned on immediately upon beginning the game (if you are trying to do these trophies in 1 playthrough then remember to have "Fair-Weather Friends" on from the very beginning as well, see Trial of the Lovers). You'll also want to activate the "Even Ground" trial, which may also help lessen XP gain (see Trial of the Empress). Even so, it can be a little challenging to complete this. Your best bet is to kill as few enemies as possible and only kill where absolutely necessary. Running away is the better option. Avoid all the side quests and only unlock camps to gain enough power to continue with the story.

You'll want to recruit Vivienne, but do not recruit any of the others (Sera, Blackwall, & Iron Bull) for now; if you're doing Trial of the Lovers as well, you can recruit the remaining followers after reaching Skyhold & completing this trophy. Just be sure you don't recruit them before that, as you'll gain too much XP.

Once you've gotten enough power, choose "In Hushed Whispers", to ally with the mages rather than Templars (again, if you're doing this in 1 playthrough then remember to deactivate "Travel Light" trial after completing "In Hushed Whispers". You’ll have a hard time otherwise).

At the trebuchet, use the 100% trick. After you've killed all of the people and you've hit 50%, the boss will appear, make sure you do not kill him. Have your companions be as far away as possible from you, and have them draw aggro using Tactical mode. Keep an eye on their health and give them potions when necessary. Meanwhile, you should be turning the trebuchet as fast as possible, going all the way to 100% without ever stopping. This will skip the boss fight (which saves you a lot of xp!), take you into the cutscene, and drop you in the mountains. Go through the caves as you normally would, take out the rift and eventually you'll drop into the snow and be rescued by your companions. After all the cutscenes are over, you'll regain control in Skyhold and the trophy will pop.

You may need to try a few times using this method but it's vitally important that you kill as few people as possible and especially not the boss and all of those mobs.

NOTE: If you did not get the trophy after the cutscenes ended, fast travel to the Hinterlands and then back to Skyhold and it should pop then. (Thanks to ChronoKidd for this information.)

  • Fair-Weather Friends always on: enter Halamshiral with all followers.

*MISSABLE*: This trial must be turned on immediately upon beginning the game and cannot be turned off until you have begun the "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts" quest where you travel to the Winter Palace. If you enter Halamshiral missing a single follower, you will have to reload a previous save or start a new playthrough.

"Fair-Weather Friends" is a modifier that doubles your companions' disapproval ratings, thus making it more likely for them to leave your party if you accumulate too much disapproval.

Before beginning "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts", make sure you have recruited all 9 possible followers and be aware of their preferences:

    Cassandra:

    • Automatically joins in the prologue.
    • She approves of an Inquisitor who is faithful and who believes that she is Andraste's Chosen. She approves of justice and punishment that fits the crime i.e. not too lenient and not too harsh, though she also approves of exiling the Wardens. She disapproves of siding with the mages or involving yourself in any magical rite or such. If you side with the mages, she'll approve a bit if you take them as conscripts but will disapprove of allowing them to be free & made equals. She greatly disapproves of any Inquisitor who speaks of their own power or personal gain. She does not trust Cole so an inquisitor who speaks highly of him will net disapproval.

    Varric:

    • Automatically joins in the prologue.
    • Varric generally approves when the Inquisitor uses good humor and sarcasm. Additionally, if you played DA2 and have your choices uploaded to the keep, those choices affect what he disapproves of. If Hawke sided with the Mages in DA 2, Varric will approve of you siding with the mages but will disapprove of you siding with the Templars and vice versa if Hawke sided with the Templars.

    Solas:

    • Automatically joins in the prologue.
    • Solas approves of an Inquisitor who asks questions and who wants and protects knowledge. He approves of finding and activating the scattered elven artifacts, and generally approves when the Inquisitor does or says anything positive about elves and mages, such as siding with the mages and making them equal. He disapproves of Templars and harsh justice on mages, such as conscripting them. He disapproves when the Inquisitor speaks of personal gain but also disapproves if she believes she's Andraste’s chosen.

    Iron Bull:

    • Fairly early on, you will find Krem standing in front of the Chantry gates in Haven. Speaking to him will begin the quest that will lead to Iron Bull (in the Storm Coast).
    • He approves of most things, actually. He supports the Templars and Grey Wardens, and approves of killing dragons with you. He will disapprove if you ally with the mages or disband the Templars.

    Dorian:

    • When you are given the choice to side with the mages (In Hushed Whispers) or the Templars (Champions of the Just), choosing either one will eventually lead his way. If you side with the mages, he will join you in the middle of the quest. If you side with the Templars, he’ll join after you've finished it.
    • Dorian approves of humour and sarcasm but not egotism or aggression. He approves when the Inquisitor treats mages well, such as allying with them and being a bit more open to magic. He heavily disapproves of making anyone Tranquil, conscripting the mages and either allying with or disbanding the Templars. He will also disapprove if you speak of your personal gain or power as Inquisitor.

    Cole:

    • When you are given the choice to side with the mages (In Hushed Whispers) or the Templars (Champions of the Just), choosing either one will eventually lead his way. If you side with the Mages, he will join you after you’ve finished the quest. If you side with the Templars, he’ll join in the middle.
    • Cole approves of siding with any side that is the oppressed or maligned side so he'll approve of you allying with the mages, disbanding the Templars, supporting Briala and just doing side-quests that aid the commoners. He disapproves of harsh judgement to anyone, and will disapprove if you ally with or agree with the oppressors and militarists, such as supporting Gaspard or keeping the Wardens, etc.

    Vivienne:

    • In Val Royeaux, you will meet a man who issues you an invitation, which begins The Imperial Enchanter quest. This will add a new location on your map. When you travel to it, you will meet her and can recruit her here.
    • Vivienne approves of discipline above all else. An inquisitor who punishes people will gain her approval. In addition, she’ll approve if you ally with the Templars or conscript the mages but will disapprove if you ally with them. She is a Circle mage at heart and wants the mage rebellion to end. She will disapprove if you disband the Templars, or if you allow the Grey Wardens to join you. She does not trust Cole or Morrigan so your actions and what you say about them will also net you some approval or disapproval depending on how you feel about them.

    Sera:

    • In Val Royeaux, an arrow will be shot into the ground by your feet. This will begin the quest that will lead to Sera.
    • Sera is a robin-hood type of person; she approves whenever the Inquisitor protects or aids the poor people, and approves when you go against the Nobles. She disapproves of the Templars and similar oppressive regimes. She approves of an Inquisitor who says things like "because it's right" i.e. an Inquisitor who is not full of themselves. She'll disapprove of allying with either the mages or Templars, preferring you to conscript or disband their respective sides. She also heavily disapproves of you supporting elves in any way e.g. supporting Briala, allying with the elves in the Temple of Mythal, etc. She’s very suspicious of elves.

    Blackwall:

    • After progressing past "The Threat Remains" and returning from Val Royeaux, you will automatically be given "The Lone Warden" quest. Following it will lead you to Blackwall, where you can recruit him.
    • Blackwall approves of mercy and justice. He approves of helping the poorer and weaker, and approves of self-sacrifice. Doing "the right thing" goes far with him. He obviously approves of the Wardens, so exiling them will be a big no-no with him. Being egotistical or talking about your personal gain will also net you a lot of disapproval. He also does not approve of force, in other words he’ll approve of you allying the Templars or the mages but will disapprove if you conscript the mages or force the Templars to surrender and serve. He approves of you doing anything to save others e.g. saving Empress Celine and he disapproves of spies (like supporting Briala).

Once you have recruited all 9 possible companions, begin the "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts" quest. As soon as you enter Halamshiral, the trophy will pop.

  • Progress the story to unlock.

    Story-related and cannot be missed.

When you complete the DLC, there are 3 ending scenes. When the 3rd begins, the trophy will pop. PS: Don't skip the ending credits else you'll regret it (they're not trophy related at all, just for some more story).

  • Unlock all caches watched over by ancient statues.

    *MISSABLE*

There are four Fen'Harel puzzles in the game. The first one will be pretty obvious, as you'll run into it as part of the story. These puzzles are marked by a large statue of a wolf, and typically have a small clue written on a nearby stone. Upon completion of the puzzle, you will be able to loot a small box sitting at the feet of the wolf statue. You must loot all of them for the trophy to pop; it is not enough to simply solve the puzzles.

    Full text walkthrough:

FIRST PUZZLE: During your first real mission out of the Palace, towards the end you'll be tasked with placing a statue on a pedestal to raise a bridge. The first puzzle is at the end of the cathedral-like hall you come to upon crossing it. The wolf statue will be in the center, surrounded by circular walls that have several veilfire braziers. If you’re not a mage or don’t have one, there is a lit veilfire brazier at the end of the room on a balcony. Light the brazier that the wolf is looking at, which is the second brazier on the left wall. Press the button on the statue and that will complete the puzzle and you must then loot the small box at the foot of the statue.

SECOND PUZZLE: On your third mission in the crossroads, you will be directed to the library. At some point, you'll be tasked with finding 3 red bulbs to repair the broken bridge. After your first, you'll come to a circular room with an eluvian on either side. Each one will have part of this quest, and the top-left eluvian contains the second puzzle.

You'll load in an area with a circle of unlit veilfire braziers. You cannot light these just yet but make note of them as you'll need to quickly come back here.

For now, follow the path up and enter another eluvian. In the new area, instead of proceeding with the main mission, go to the left and go around the wall. You will see the now-familiar purple flames on the ground. Use your anchor discharge ability ( + ) to become invulnerable and go past the purple flames and up the broken ruin-stairs to the right. Keep going up and up, until you reach the highest floor. Following it around will take you face-to-face with the Fen'Harel statue.

This puzzle will have you rushing quickly back to the circle of veilfire braziers, which will start as soon as you activate the "press" button on the statue. Once you click it, immediately jump off the side to the right to land on the lower floor. Jump down a floor again and run back to the eluvian. When you load, run and once again jump off the right side and land in the circle of veilfire braziers. Quickly light your torch with one before they turn out again. You may need a couple tries to get used to the path.

Once you've got your veilfire torch, go back to the Fen'Harel statue the same way and light the brazier it is looking at to complete the puzzle. Loot the small box by the statue for your reward.

TIP: Hopefully by now you'll have 3 pieces of the Taken Shape armor set (see Coroner). Equip all 3 on your character to receive a 10% bonus to movement speed, which should help you with this puzzle.

THIRD PUZZLE: This one requires some backtracking. After receiving the explosive upgrade to your discharge anchor spell, leave the library and return to the Deep Roads. When you come to the campfire, make a left and follow the path which will lead you to a door on your right, opening into a dark room with a small light at the end. All the way inside, you'll find rocks blocking another doorway but there are also gaatlok barrels there. Discharge your anchor to blow them up, revealing the doorway and a new eluvian.

Once inside, you’ll see a brazier with some veilfire. Grab a torch and proceed further into the room. Walking up to the wall will make the wolf turn to face you. Walk up to it, and you'll find another "press" button on the back of the statue. Pressing it will cause stairs to appear, leading from the statue to the high brazier on the wall. Quickly go up the stairs and light the brazier, as they disappear fairly quickly. This will complete the puzzle, and you must go loot the small box by the statue.

FOURTH PUZZLE: After you progress with the main story, you'll have a quest to use the keystone to enter Darvaarad. This is a point of no return. As soon as you enter the eluvian, a small platfrom directly in front of you will have a lit veilfire brazier. If you are not a mage or don't have one with you, bring a torch of veilfire with you to save time. The main quest will point you towards a large door with a wheel on it ("Trespasser – Find a way inside"). Ignore that for now and instead keep following the path which leads around to the left. You will see a tower and the bottom door is barred from the inside, so just go around up the stairs and enter through there. It'll be called the Research tower and is almost directly South of your quest marker on that large wheel-door. Kill the Qunari here, then go down the ladder to land right next to the Fen'Harel statue.

At the other end of the room from the wolf is an unlit brazier. Light it with the torch from earlier or with your mage, and then bring your torch and climb back up the ladder but this time climb up two flights. On the top floor, there are two unlit braziers: the first is to the left of the ladder, and the second is broken, on the ground and right in front of the ladder. Use your ping if you are having trouble locating it. Light both braziers. Now go back down to the statue and collect your reward.

Once you've looted this fourth and final box, the trophy should pop.

    *MISSABLE*

There are a total of four pieces to the Taken Shape armor set: An armor piece, a belt, a ring, and an amulet. Each are unique, except that you will also receive the schematics for the armor in all three versions (light, medium, heavy). Another unique thing about this armor set is that you receive varying set bonuses when equipping 2, 3 or all 4 of the items.

Each of these pieces are in chests in separate, "secret" rooms and are guarded by demons that appear when you first attempt to loot the chests.

    Full text walkthrough:

FIRST PIECE: When you first arrive in the crossroads, your quest will be to follow the blood trail. Follow it just up the stairs to the first island but don't go inside the quest eluvian. Instead go around the side to the right and you'll find another eluvian, enter it. Once in the room, attempt to loot the chest and you'll be ambushed. When you’ve finished fighting the demons, you can safely loot the chest.

SECOND PIECE: After you complete that first mission you'll be transported back to the Winter Palace. When you’re done with the cutscenes and chatting with companions, you'll be directed back into the crossroads. Once there, you'll find that a new path has appeared linking the first island to another. Follow it to the second island but then, once again, ignore the quest marker and go around to the left to find stairs leading to a new eluvian. Once inside, follow the same steps as the first piece.

THIRD PIECE: It's on the same island as the second piece. Go back to the mission marker but this time go around to the right and follow that path. There will be a red bulb there. Activate it and you'll see a glowing green light creating another path. Follow the new path, and enter the new eluvian. In the room, follow the same steps: loot, fight, loot.

FOURTH PIECE: After you complete the mission inside the Deep Roads, you'll once again be transported to the Winter Palace. When you've done all you need to do, enter the crossroads again. This time a new bridge has appeared linking the second island to a third. If you continue all the way, you'll find an area with bookshelves. Instead, when you reach this third island, ignore the mission marker and once again activate the nearby red bulb (off to the left side) and follow its path. When you've fought the demons and looted this fourth chest (which should contain the main armor & schematics), the trophy will pop.
