INTRODUCTION

Disney Infinity 3.0 is the third installment in the Disney Infinity series. Like the other two, the game allows players to place a figure on the base and transport that character into the game. The game itself consists of 3 basic modes:

Play Sets: The Play Sets are where the story takes place. Each play set is set in a different Disney world. For Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars, the play sets are for the Star Wars: Clone Wars, Star Wars: The Original Trilogy, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Inside Out, the new Disney film with emotions as characters. In addition to these play sets, they have also for the first time, released two new sets that have trophies attached to them. The two play sets with trophies attached are Marvel: Battlegrounds and Finding Dory. In addition, to the trophies they provide acquiring these sets will also make completing the requirement for 75 feats much easier if you haven't already earned that trophy, as each Playset comes with its own set of feats.

Toy Box: The Toy Box Games or adventures are really a subcategory of the Toy Box since there are user creations and Community Content. This guide will focus mainly to the official Toy Box Hub that gives players a tutorial on what they could create themselves and where much of the creation aspect in the game lies. The Toy Box is intended to be an open-world playground of your own creation. You can create your own world and games here. Recently added was the idea of Farming and growing crops and increasing your sidekicks’ levels in Disney 3.0.

My INterior: Create your own house to play in, and decorate it anyway you see fit, or decorate how other in game characters tell you to in order to complete feats and earn more sidekicks.

As far as trophies go, you can begin in whichever mode you'd like. You can easily switch between them and none of the trophies are missable. I've listed my recommended order for obtaining the trophies in the walkthrough.

Note: As of 3/3/2017 the online servers have closed affecting some trophies. I highlighted these trophies in red as they are no longer able to be achieved without online access.

Step 1: Online/Multiplayer

I would recommend for you to complete the 10 Online Arcade games first and get those out of the way. You'll have to connect to 3 other players online and depend on that connection to get the trophy. So head to the Toy Box Hub and go to Flynn's Arcade first to get those out of the way. The rest of the trophies could be done at any time in any order and in local Co-op.

At the end of this step you will have acquired:

Arcade Ace
Outside Concessions
Friendly Competition

Blow to Your Character - can still be done local offline
Double Trouble - can still be done local offline

Step 2: Toy Box/My INterior

The Toy Box Hub is a great place for you to start. There are quite a few quest givers in the area and completing their quests will provide you with a tutorial into the game's mechanics and introduce you to many elements that tie directly back into the trophies or feats. It's also a great place to start earning the Sparks (in-game currency) you'll need to purchase the items required by the trophies. There are portals in this area to the Hall of Heroes, My INterior, and Toy Box Adventures. Visit all the areas, check out the tutorials, Toy Box Adventure Portals and focus on a few trophies or feats requiring miscellaneous actions.

At the end of this step you will have acquired:

The Buddy System
Feeding Frenzy
Fruitful Harvest
Press Save to Continue
Born Adventurer
Tutorial Totality
INterior Mansion
Attained Terrain
A Roomy Affair
Toy Store Buyout
On the Nice List

Step 3: Clean-up & Feats

It is entirely possible (quite likely even) that after completing all of the previously mentioned trophies you'll have some of these "Feats" trophies. Play in your Star Wars Play Set or any set you've purchased and enjoy the story. Remember to look at the feats so you can complete them as they come up in the story. However, don’t worry about it if you miss one, as you can replay missions and there is an option in the pause menu to select and replay any mission. Nothing is missable. Also make sure that you pick off the easy feats. Then set out to get the easy feats left in the toy box, and the INterior and keep systematically choosing and completing feats.

At the end of this step you will have acquired:

Turquoise Feats
Silver Feats
Gold Feats
Diamond Feats
Platinum Hero

INTRODUCTION

Disney Infinity 3.0 is the third instalment in the Disney Infinity series. Like the other two, the game allows players to place a figure on the base and transport that character into the game. Unlike most DLC content, this DLC cannot be purchased digitally from the PSN store. You must purchase the Marvel Battlegrounds Playset from local retail stores such as Walmart, Target, Best-Buy, Toys R Us, or Order Online from Amazon. This DLC is an arena battle royal fighting type of game and has 3 different modes.

Versus: This mode is for up to four local players. There is no online connection available for this content. Versus has 4-5 types of various games you can play.

Story Mode: There is a small story that you can play through to stop Ultron from getting or using an infinity stone.

Challenges: A few challenges are unlocked initially, but you'll have to finish the Story Mode to unlock all 28 challenges. The challenges just ask you to defeat 1-5 characters, and if you do it with a certain character then you can unlock alternate outfits or toys for your toy box mode found in the base game.

As far as trophies go, you will need four PS4 controllers to unlock every trophy but the good news is you do not need all the character figures for any of them. It comes with a Captain America figure which you could use to get 100% of the trophies with. You can easily switch between the modes and none of the trophies are missable but I've listed my recommended order for obtaining the trophies in the walkthrough.

WALKTHROUGH

STEP 1: VERSUS MODE
Click vs. Mode at the beginning make sure to have four PS4 controllers logged in. If you own any Marvel characters put them on the base to load them into the game, and they will be available in the select your fighter menu. If you do not have anyone but the Captain America the set came with, then you will have to use the free timed available characters but you get new free trial characters daily. Alternatively, you can use the trial tokens to use any character you want in the Versus mode. You are provided with some tokens initially for free, and you earn more as you play. No matter how you get your characters you will want at least one flying character selected for the Take My Wings trophy.

After this step you will earn the following trophies:

Take My Wings
Fighting Friends
Special Delivery

STEP 2: STORY MODE
There are no trophies directly associated with this mode. However, you need to complete the story for two reasons.

1: You will get the much needed experience points (XP).
2: You need to finish the story to unlock all the challenges.

STEP 3: CHALLENGE MODE
After completing the story mode you will have 28 challenges (1 challenge for each of the 28 marvel figures created) unlocked. Each challenge requires you to beat 1-5 characters but you do not need to beat it with the character suggested so don't worry if you don't have that figure. Beating it with the recommended figure only unlocks alternate outfits or toys for your toy box and winning the fight counts as completing the challenge for earning the trophy.

After this step you will earn the following trophies:

Great Collection
Veteran Hero

INTRODUCTION

Disney Infinity 3.0 is the third instalment in the Disney Infinity series. Like the other two, the game allows players to place a figure on the base and transport that character into the game. Unlike most DLC content, this DLC cannot be purchased digitally from the PSN store. You must purchase the Finding Dory Playset from local retail stores such as Walmart, Target, Best-Buy, Toys R Us, or Order Online from Amazon. This DLC is mostly a side scrolling adventure game. There is also a main hub that is a first person free roam open environment. Both of these are beautifully created and visually appealing like the movies they are based on.

Main Hub: In the main hub (Morro Bay) is where you'll find your challenges for the Challenge Accepted trophy. You can hit the options button to get to your skill tree and level up Dory here as well. You will also build all your buildings here to obtain the Morro By Builder trophy. The buildings allow you to level up your sidekicks and give you other perks as well.

Story Mode: The main game is the story mode. You will have to play through this almost 2 times to get all the collectables. You will nee all 3 of your sidekicks abilities to get all the collectables (lost fish) You will not get all your sidekicks abilities until the last 3 levels. All the ones before that must be replayed.

Challenges: There are 5 challenges in the main hub of Morro Bay. None are all that hard and you should be able to beat them on your first try, even without a leveled up Dory. However, if you are finding them difficult then you could simply save them until the end or after you have leveled up Dory's swim speed.

As far as trophies go, you will only need 1 controller to unlock every trophy and you can get all 100% of the trophies with just Dory. No Action Figure characters work in this play set. Although I don't have it, I believe the only other figure you could put on the base to play in co-op would be the Little Nemo figure but without him you will have to play a solo game like I did.

WALKTHROUGH

STEP 1: STORY MODE
Complete the story mode to level up Dory and your sidekicks. You cannot get all of the lost fish in the MLI (Marine Life Institute) without all 3 of your sidekicks' full set of abilities. You do not need any of Dory's leveled up abilities but increasing her speed, health and other traits does make the game even easier.

After every level or so you willreturn to the Morro Bay hub and Marlin the clown fish (Nemo's Dad) will give you missions to build houses. These houses upgrade your sidekicks' abilities and give you other perks. One house that he doesn't ask you to build, but you can pay to build it (pay with collected shells) is the sonar ship. It is a good idea to build this ship and then press to blow a bubble at its Infinity button. This will activate a sonar and show all collectables in you radar (located in the lower left of your hud). This will make it easy to find all the lost fish (collectables).

You can find your quests, missions, or challenges by looking for an exclamation points and dots:

  • ! = Side Mission or Side Quest.
  • ! = Main Mission
  • O = Challenge

After this step you will earn the following trophies:

Shell Collector
Turn Out the Lights
Morro Bay Builder

STEP 2: COMPLETE THE CHALLENGES
There are 5 Challenges that will unlock as you progress through the story. You can choose to do them as they appear or wait until the end and do all five at once. They are all easy but if you wait until the end and have leveled up Dory's swim speed then they are even easier, as you only need to qualify for the Bronze rating.

After this step you will earn the following trophies:

Challenge Accepted

STEP 3: REPLAY AND CLEAN UP
Once you get to the third to last map, you will have all your sidekicks' abilities, and can now access any place on all the levels. Furthermore, if you activated the Sonar on the ship building in Morro Bay, all the collectables will be lit up on your radar making it a breeze to find all the lost fish (collectables). You can go ahead and finish the game, then replay all the levels or at the level select screen move the marker over the completed levels and choose to replay them before moving on.

After this step you will earn the following trophies:

Morro Bay Superstar

31 trophies ( 13  10  )

  • Collect every Trophy

Note: As of 3/3/2017 the online servers have closed affecting this trophy:

  • Earn 5 Sidekicks

Earning sidekicks will come from natural play. You will earn this trophy fairly quickly going through the tutorials, or from playing one of the three various game modes. For example, playing in your INterior: Go to Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother; she will give you tasks of creating a room that someone would like. Let’s say Snow White. You then have to decorate a room (walls, trim, floor, ceiling lamp) with Snow White’s theme. After completing the task you will receive a new sidekick. You could simply do this 5 times. Another easy way to get 3 is to create the sidekick Haunted Mansion room in your INterior. Inside a ghost will ask you to find 3 ghosts that are hiding. If you find all three then, all 3 become your sidekick.

  • Feed a Sidekick 50 times

In order to earn this trophy you will want to do the Sidekick Tutorial to learn how to farm. Once completed you will earn a hoe. You will need this tool in order to raise crops. After learning from the tutorial how to work the field and grow crops simply harvest the crops after they ripen and then go to the pause menu. Select sidekicks, select a sidekick, then food, then feed the sidekick. You can farm in the main toy box hub or create your own toy box with land and farm. Eventually, your sidekicks will level up and you can put hats on them to grow what kind of crops you want, and give them better tools for farming or watering cans to make the crops grow faster. You can also have multiple sidekicks working the land. For example, you could have 5-6 sidekicks planting crops, and 5-6 watering the crops for faster growth.

  • Harvest 100 plants

See Feed A Sidekick 50 times. Simply grow the crops with your sidekicks and then use your attack  to harvest the crops.

  • Complete 5 Feats

    See Diamond Feats.

  • Complete 25 Feats

    See Diamond Feats.

  • Complete 50 Feats

    See Diamond Feats.

  • Complete 75 Feats

Completing feats is like completing in game challenges. There are way more than 75 however. To earn this trophy you do not need purchase any additional characters or playsets, but doing so will make it easier. I earned the trophy with just the base set, but there are character specific feats for say Yoda, or Darth Vader ect., sold separately. There are 3 different sets of feats so you will probably want to just knock out the easiest ones across the 3 game modes. Here are examples of some feats and the 3 game modes:

    • Game Mode: Toy Box
      • Ride a car in reverse
      • Earn 5 sidekicks
      • Fall from a 1000 meters
    • Game Mode: My INterior
      • Create 3 sidekick rooms
      • Hang 8 things on the walls in one room
      • Answer trivia questions
    • Game Mode: Play Sets
      • Destroy 100 droids as Ashoka
      • Kill 25 Sandpeople as Anakin
      • Complete all missions on Naboo
  • Click on create a toy box. Then click save. Then the trophy will unlock.

  • Play all Toy Box Adventures

In the "Toy Box Hub" you will talk to characters to open up all the terrain. After you talk to them their terrain in the hub comes in and a path will light up to a portal. Follow the path to the lit portal. You will then have a choice to play 5-8 various Toy Box Adventures. You will also earn a feat for completing all adventures in one portal. It’s also worth noting that you don’t have to actually play all these adventures as you could just click one, then when it loads, you can quit out and it will still count. You can check your progress in the feats menu. For example it will say 2/5 done if I did the first 2 in the blue portal. Most have 5 and the purple portal has the most at 8. Again you can choose to play them or simply quit out after they load up. However, I recommend playing all the Adventures in the green portal as it will help you farm and acquire sidekicks, food, and feats.

  • Play a downloaded UGC in the theater

Note: As of 3/3/2017 the online servers have closed affecting this trophy:

In The main Toy Box hub, go down the purplish pink path or Main Street. In the Center will be a theater with a pinkish portal door. Enter, then download and play one User Generated Content (like a user created Toy Box). The trophy should unlock as soon as it loads up. You can then quit and back out if you don’t wish to play it.

  • Complete all Toy Box and INterior tutorials

In the Toy Box Hub you will see characters to talk to light up the terrain. They all have a color: Pink, Yellow, Blue, Green. All representing either, building, fighting, farming, platforming, or driving vehicles. After you light each one up, talk to them. Each will have a series of questions like “How do I drive vehicles?” Click on a question, then complete the tutorial. Then talk to him again, and now you will notice a check mark next to that question. Continue to ask all the questions of each hub’s host until they all have check marks on them for the trophy. There are two hosts that you might not see standing on their designated colors. One is the INterior host. You must go through the portal into your INterior to find him he will have a ! above is head. Make sure that you ask him his questions and complete his tutorials. Also don't forget that a little farther down on Main Street is Scrooge McDuck, who will also have a few tutorial questions that need to be checked off.

  • Build a 20-room INterior

While in the INterior connect 20 rooms or hallways together. If you're unsure on how to create a room make sure you talk to the INterior host with the ! above is head. He will then provide you with a tutorial and walk you through adding a room and you need to talk to him for the Tutorial Totality trophy anyway.

  • Reveal all the terrain in the Toy Box Hub

Talk to all the Hosts standing on different colors in the center of the Toy Box Hub. They will reveal the terrain and give you tutorials on how to play the game. They will all have a different color: Pink, Yellow, Blue, Green; all representing either: building, fighting, farming, platforming, or driving vehicles etc.

  • Throw a party for your friends in one of the designated Sidekick Rooms

In your INterior, build the Sidekick Discotheque. Now pick up a sidekick (), then throw them through the door. The door will open up with a singing band, sidekicks dancing and Disco Balls. The trophy will unlock after the door opens.

  • Participate in 10 Arcade Matches

Note: As of 3/3/2017 the online servers have closed affecting this trophy:

Go down the pinkish purple path (Main Street). On the other side of the street from the theater is another pink portal to Flynn’s Arcade, and go through the portal to the Arcade. Inside the arcade, in the center of the room, are 5 arcade games you can play with other people that are online. Press on one you would like to play. You do not have to win the game, simply play until completion. After playing 10 games in the arcade the trophy will unlock.

  • Defeat another player's Character

    (1)

The easiest way to earn this trophy, is in local Co-op with 2 controllers and simply kill someone who isn’t moving. You can also invite a friend into a Toy Box, Play Set, or INterior then kill them.

  • Participate in an Arcade Match

Note: As of 3/3/2017 the online servers have closed affecting this trophy:

    See Arcade Ace.

  • Play a Toy Box with 2 players

    (1)

Invite a friend to play in the Toy Box with you, or local Co-op if you have 2 controllers.

  • Purchase 100 toys from the Toy Store

The easiest method is in your INterior. Go to the host and select buy toys. You can also purchase furniture and decorations for your house that are fairly cheap and spend Blue sparks. After killing an enemy or destroying something make sure you collect the blue sparks, as this is what you need to spend to buy toys.

  • Earn 10 Toy Presents in the Toy Box Hub

The easiest method for this is just completing the tutorials. After completing them you will often hear “You’ve earned a gift or present” just walk over it to collect it. It will be a random toy for your Toy Box or INterior.

DLC: Marvel Battlegrounds

5 trophies

  • Earn 10,000 Experience Points in Marvel Battlegrounds

This trophy should come naturally if you are going for the 100% in this DLC. You will earn XP for your 1 versus fight, 1 Story Mode playthrough and beating 28 challenges. You will earn 10,000 XP by the 27th or 28th challenge and if for some reason you don't have enough, then just replay a challenge.

  • Knock 5 enemies out of the sky with thrown objects in Marvel Battlegrounds

In your versus fight make sure you have one character that can fly. If you don't have a figure that can fly use one of your timed daily use trials on a flying character. Select the flyer on the second controller and not the main account you want to earn the trophy on. Now double jump (, ) to fly and with your main character, pick up any box or item by pressing . Now turn and aim it at the flying character, then press to throw it at them and it will knock them down. Do this 4 more times to earn the trophy.

    Flying Characters Include:

    • Falcon
    • Nova
    • Iron Man
    • Loki
    • Vision
    • Ultron
    • Iron Man: Hulk Buster Armor
    • Thor
    • Star Lord
  • Play any four-player Versus match in Marvel Battlegrounds

Turn on four PS4 controllers then press at the character select screen on each one to pick a character. If you have 4 figures then you can load them in on the base to be used at the character select screen but if not, then use the daily timed use characters. Pick any arena and once the match starts, the trophy will pop.

  • Use 3 Special Moves in One Match in Marvel Battlegrounds

In your versus mode match, after getting take my wings, beat up people (with , , ) and collect their purple sparks to fill up your super meter. You can also collect purple sparks from the purple capsules and once you have enough purple sparks, will show up around your character to signify that your super meter is full so press to use it. Your attack doesn't even need to connect for it to count. Once you have executed 3 special moves in one match, then the trophy will pop.

  • Complete all Challenges in Marvel Battlegrounds

Go to the Challenges menu and pick them one by one to beat them. Each challenge requires you to beat a certain number of characters ranging from 1-5 but if you only have one character figure and die or lose the challenge, then you can simply restart the challenge. However if you have more character figures and one dies, then you can put a new one on the base and continue the same challenge without restarting. Although that should not be necessary, as it is very easy. If you are close to dying, then collecting green sparks will refill your health meter. Once you have beaten all 28 challenges (which takes about 2.5 hours if you play straight through) then the trophy will pop.

DLC: Finding Dory Play Set

5 trophies

  • Rescue every lost fish from the MLI

There are 200 total missing fish found in 9 levels of this game's story mode. There are no lost fish in the main hub of Morro Bay nor in the pipe levels that connect the main areas of the MLI. The level select screen shows the collectables you have found in that level. You can use this to determine where your missing fish are. Here are the Levels and how many fish are found there:

    Marlin the Clown Fish Levels

    • Open Ocean Shallows - 20 fish
    • Open Ocean Caverns - 20 fish
    • Open Ocean Depths - 25 fish

    Hank the Octopus Levels

    • Quarantine Sneak - 20 fish
    • Quarantine Crawl - 20 fish
    • Quarantine Cover - 25 fish

    Bailey the Beluga Whale Levels

    • Touch Pool Recue - 20 fish
    • Touch Pool Run - 25 fish
    • Touch Pool Escape - 25 fish

You cannot get all the fish in one playthrough as you need your sidekicks' upgrades to access all areas in a level. You will have 3 sidekicks and can upgrade each of their abilities by building them a house in Morro Bay between levels. Here is a breakdown of your sidekicks and the abilities they have:

    The Shrimp

    • Main Ability: Eats through green algae
    • Upgraded Ability: Can now eat through red algae

    The Cuttlefish

    • Main Ability: Can light up dark areas to get past the little blue tube worms
    • Upgraded Ability: Can now light up larger area and get past the larger red tube worms

    The Hermit Crab

    • Main Ability: Can walk you through strong currents
    • Upgraded Ability: Can now jump and double jump while walking you through the strong currents

Furthermore, don't forget to purchase and build the Sonar Ship in Morro Bay hub. This ship will light up the collectables in your map HUD located in the lower left of your screen. With all the collectables lit up and all your sidekicks abilities the lost fish (collectables) are a piece of cake and no text guide or video guide are necessary. Just replay the levels after you have acquired all the abilities needed to be successful.

  • Have 250 shells in your collection at one time

This will come naturally while playing the story. There are literally thousands of shells all over so you will easily get this trophy while playing your first level in the story mode. I don't think you could avoid this trophy even if you purposefully tried to avoid the shells. Furthermore, there is a clam shell house you can purchase and build in Morro Bay that pumps out shells for you -- not that you will need it though.

  • Defeat the Anglerfish Toy

Story Related and cannot be missed.

One of the levels will require you to power on a pump under water which has fan on it, whereby the Anglerfish will get sucked into the fan and killed.

  • Place 5 buildings in Morro Bay

Story Related and cannot be missed.

The main story mode will have you building at least 5 houses. Three of them will be for your sidekicks alone. The sidekicks' houses will also grant them with an upgraded ability. You will need these to obtain all the collectables. However, make sure to also purchase and buy the Sonar Ship when it is available as it will aid you in finding all the collectables in the game.

  • Complete all Morro Bay challenges with at least a bronze rating

There are 5 challenges you will need to earn a bronze rating on in the main hub of Morro Bay. You will need to complete levels in the story mode to unlock all the challenges. You can do them as they appear, or wait until you have all 5 and then do them at one time. It doesn't matter. All are fairly easy to get a bronze rating on. However, if you are having trouble, then upgrading Dory's swim speed will aid you in achieving the bronze rating. You can find them using the radar map in your HUD at the lower left of the screen they look like this O on your radar.

The 5 Challenges are as follows:

    • Round the Reef: Swim Race - Swim through the gates under the designated time.
    • Swim Sprint: Swim Race - Swim through the gates under the designated time.
    • Skimming the Surface: Ring Collector - Swim through the rings to get points.
    • The Ocean Floor: Orb Collector - Break orbs to collect points.
    • Darkened Caverns: Ring Collector - Swim through the rings to get points.

When competing in the Orb and Ring Collector Challenges you will notice that there are three different color rings or orbs. This designates the point value for swimming through them or breaking them. Yellow rings/orbs are the most points, then Blue and finally Green are worth the least in points. Finally; in Orb Collector, if you notice a Red Orb collect it first, as it is explosive and will break all the orbs around it. Once you have achieved at least a bronze rating in all 5 the trophy will pop.
