Weekend at Darkdeath Evilman's Trophy in Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness

  • Weekend at Darkdeath Evilman's

Requirement: Defeat Darkdeath Evilman. Being Etna's vassal is one of the most physically straining jobs in the Netherworld.

How to unlock Weekend at Darkdeath Evilman's

You’ll need to have 100,000 Mana and have cleared the Valvatorez and Fenrich battle. Pass the bill “Final Boss From a Different Netherworld!”, then enter the episode “Post: Evilest Man”. The first stage “An Arrogant Betrayal”, has you face off with some old friends who are now level 1200. Use the method of attacking then lifting your best units until the Sea Angels go down, then the battle should be smooth sailing from there, as the Gargoyles are not as mobile as the Sea Angels are.

The second stage: “The Outside Ringer”, features the fight with Darkdeath Evilman himself. Win this fight, and the trophy is yours.

Darkdeath Evilman is level 2000, and has about 2 million HP. You fight him by himself, so this battle should not be that difficult. There are two things to worry about however. One is his evility, which reduces the damage he takes, but the effect gets weaker after every hit. To overcome this, you’ll need to attack him with your weaker characters first, then your strongest ones.

    Missable Note:

The second thing to worry about are his skills. He does not join you after the battle, so you’ll need to have him use his three unique skills before the battle ends. There is a simple 3 turn strategy to get him to use all 3 of his skills on the first 3 turns. You’ll first need to have a unit who has around 100,000 HP however. You can get this easily by equipping Fenrich with some muscle items. Once you get this, the strategy is as follows:

Turn 1 - Send out Fenrich and move him into Evilman’s attack range. He should use Evilman Slash. This is the hardest skill to get him to use, so restart if he doesn’t use it.

Turn 2 - Send a unit and move him/her to back of the map. Evilman should use Evilman Death Wave his next turn.

Turn 3 - Send out 2 units. Have them both attack Evilman from behind to weaken his evility and make sure they’re close to each other when the turn ends. He will use Evilman Gigantus Ray on his 3rd turn.

Once you have seen all his skills, send out all your best units and one sacrificial character. Have everyone but the sacrifice attack Evilman, from weakest to strongest and preferably from behind, then have the sacrifice lift him and end your turn. Repeat this until he falls. Evilities like the Male Angel’s “Angel’s Song” and Artina’s “Angel Glitter” work wonders here, as it’ll increase the damage you do to Evilman.
