  • Glitched trophies: None, as long as your game is fully patched. Anything below v1.03 is very problematic and some trophies may not unlock, plus the milage requirement for Spare Some Change for Gas? trophy_silver.png is 10,000 miles in the vanilla game instead of 1,000.

Introduction:

Welcome to the latest edition of the arcade side of the Dirt franchise, released for PS4 and PS5. This a nice and easy Platinum to obtain, even if there is a bit of a grind after the career is done to get the 1,000 miles trophy. Note for people with the DLC - check the car specific trophies and consider using those cars during your career playthrough to potentially save a little bit of time.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Career

You can jump straight into the career mode, as all of the events are replayable at any time. The career mode gives you a bit of choice as to your path through each chapter but ultimately you need to complete (finish, not necessarily win) every event to get the Platinum. It is highly advised to win most of the events to make your life easier in collecting Dirt Dollars and XP. That said, if you get truly stuck on an event, feel free to move on. The career mode is as simple as completing enough events to unlock the final showdown. Whether you pay attention to the background commentary is up to you.

At the end of this step, you will have unlocked:

Jack of All Trades trophy_bronze.png
Graduation Ceremony trophy_bronze.png
Extreme Acceleration trophy_bronze.png
Escape Velocity trophy_silver.png
Final Shift trophy_silver.png
Superstar Story trophy_gold.png
I'll Show Them! I'll Show Them All! trophy_gold.png
Now I Am the Master trophy_gold.png
No Event Left Behind trophy_gold.png

Step 2: Playgrounds and Cleanup

It is highly likely that you unlocked a good portion of these during the career mode but you will have to make a trip to the playgrounds and customize a car and your profile if you haven't already. The last trophy will probably be the one for driving 1,000 miles (1,600 km).

The remaining trophies you might need at this step are:

+10 HRSPRS trophy_bronze.png
Fast Cars and Fancy Cards trophy_bronze.png
Blank Slate trophy_silver.png
- Online
Everyone's a Critic trophy_silver.png - Online
Gonna Need New Tyres trophy_gold.png
Long Jump trophy_silver.png
Stuntmasta' trophy_bronze.png
Practice Makes Perfect trophy_gold.png
Checks and Balances trophy_gold.png
Superstardom trophy_gold.png

Introduction:

Welcome to the first trophy expansion for Dirt 5. The trophies are very straight forward and mostly consist of just winning each event. There are a few new cars and locations and a new event type but nothing that will really catch you out. It is a little bit more difficult than the main game due to needing to win all events but not game breaking.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Win all of the events

There are 25 events in this expansion and all of them need to be won in order to achieve Extra Energy trophy_gold.png. In the process of winning all of the events, you will also unlock BBs trophy_silver.png, I'm Spinning Around trophy_bronze.png and A Wheely Big Finish trophy_bronze.png. Make sure to use the Porsche Taycan (GT Rally events) whenever you can to reduce time in the next step.

Step 2: Clean up

All that should be left at this stage is to drive 30 miles in the Porsche Taycan for the Full Charge trophy_bronze.png  trophy.

41 trophies ( 12  10  18  6  )

  • Collect all other Trophies

Collect all of the other non-DLC trophies and the Platinum is yours!
  • Save your first customised livery

The game has a livery editor that you can spend as much or as little time with as you want. The easiest way to get this trophy is to make a custom livery at the pre-race car selection screen. Select the "create" option after you've picked the car, slap a coat of paint on and save it, then the trophy is yours.
  • Customise and save your player card

The player card makes up the background of several screens in the game. You can change (and unlock) various patterns etc. but to get the trophy all you need to do is change something and save it. This can be done via "profile" in the main menu or pressing .
  • Complete one of every type of Career Event

There are 8 types of event in the game and you will need to complete multiple of each on your way to winning all events, making this trophy unmissable. There are examples of all 8 event types in the first chapter of the career. For reference, the event types are:
    • Ultra cross (circuit racing)
    • Rally Raid (point to point racing)
    • Land Rush (circuit racing)
    • Stampede (4x4 circuit racing)
    • Ice Breaker (circuit racing on ice)
    • Sprint (Oval racing)
    • Path finder (point to point rock-crawler style time triel)
    • Gymkhana (stunts where you need to meet a points target)
  • Score 30,000 or higher in a Career Gymkhana event

As of version 5.00 this trophy was made slightly more difficult due to tricks going 'stale' if you repeat them several times in a row. However, a x3 multiplier was added to offset this. The cars used in these events are generally a bit tricky to drive but with a little patience this trophy is doable. The best approach is to target the pink bonus blocks, high speed gates, jumps, yellow drift gates and finally, the purple donut pad. Your mileage may vary but I found this easiest to do on the "Gymkhana Gauntlet" event in the Velocity series. Start out and do a couple of laps of the arena hitting the above mentioned features until you have a x3 multiplier and 15,000 points. Now go to the purple donut pad and spin around (full throttle, handbrake and a direction) until time runs out.

Here is a video showing an example run that is far from perfect and had an uneccessary go around the green donut feature.
  • Complete Chapter 1

    Story Related, Can't Be Missed

This will unlock after you complete one of the 3 showdowns at the end of Chapter 1, Ignition (red background). You don't have to do all of the events along the way but it is highly reccomended since you need to complete them all anyway for No Event Left Behind trophy_gold.png.
  • Jump 50m distance in a single jump

As the description says, complete a 50m long jump. As with Gonna Need New Tyres trophy_gold.png, you will likely get this trophy very early in the career mode.
  • Drive 1,000 miles

Note: The description for this trophy is wrong and should say 1,000miles, not 10,000.

This will almost certainly be the last trophy you earn. Just be thankful that it was reduced from the insanity that was 10,000 miles. This is also the main reason you want to have your game updated. The DLC combined will add about another 800km (500miles), so if you own the season pass this trophy will come naturally (or very close to it).

Any mileage you cover in any game mode will count for this, just be sure to finish the event to ensure it counts. By the time I'd finished the campain I was about half way so if you don't have the DLC there is still several hours of grinding to be done.

There are a few options to get this done:
    • Create an empty playground (also gets you Blank Slate trophy_silver.png) and drive in circles in a fast car. I could get an average speed of just under 100m/h (160km/h) this way.
    • Search "1,000 miles" or "AFK" in the playgrounds search bar and numerous user created playgrounds exist where your car is 'guided' around the perimeter as long as the throttle is held down.
    • Re-do the sprint event at East Mitten (Dust Bowl) in the Red Zone over and over again (or any other race that takes your fancy)
You can check your progress at any time on your profile page (1,000 miles is just over 1,600km for those playing in kilometers).
  • Complete 10 clean laps

A clean lap is one where you don't collide with another car or the edge of the track for an entire lap. Don't worry too much about this - if you don't have it by the end of your career, start up one of the sprint events at East Mitten, allow the pack to pass you and do some safe laps. Needing to do this is highly unlikely, as you will lead plenty of laps on your own over the course of winning every event.
  • Earn a total of $1,000,000

While a million (Dirt) dollars is a lot of money, the prize money racks up pretty quickly in this game. If you are doing every event, you will reach $1,000,000 some time in Chapter 3. This is a cumulative total so don't worry about spending anything on cars/customisation. You can also check your progress on your profile page.
  • Build and test your first Playground

    (Online)

Go to the playgrounds option in the main menu and select create. Select any environment and place a start and a finish gate. Once you test your playground (verify that you can reach the end gate) the trophy should pop.
  • Rate a Playground

    (Online)

To get this trophy, all you need to do is complete a playground made by another member of the community then select either "more of this" or "less of this" after the leaderboard screen.
  • Complete the Superstar Finale of the Career

This is the final race, unlocked after completing chapter 5. It is an Ultra Cross event in the Cape Town stadium and is no more difficult than the other events.
  • Complete every Career Event

There are 125 career event to complete. You don't necessarily need to win all of them but most are not that difficult.
  • Reach level 50, becoming a Superstar

As long as you are competing in every event aiming for No Event Left Behind trophy_gold.png, this trophy should unlock towards the end of chapter 5. You can track your progress towards this in the top right corner of your screen while in menus.

Secret trophies

  • Complete Chapter 2

    Story Related, Can't Be Missed

This will unlock after you complete one of the 3 showdowns at the end of Chapter 2, Acceleration (yellow background). You don't have to do all of the events along the way but it is highly reccomended since you need to complete them all anyway for No Event Left Behind trophy_gold.png.
  • Complete Chapter 3

    Story Related, Can't Be Missed

This will unlock after you complete one of the 3 showdowns at the end of Chapter 3, Velocity (blue background). You don't have to do all of the events along the way but it is highly reccomended since you need to complete them all anyway for No Event Left Behind trophy_gold.png.
  • Complete Chapter 4

    Story Related, Can't Be Missed

This will unlock after you complete one of the 3 showdowns at the end of Chapter 4, Showdown (orange background). You don't have to do all of the events along the way but it is highly reccomended since you need to complete them all anyway for No Event Left Behind trophy_gold.png.
  • Complete a 100m drift

As the description says, do a 100m drift to unlock this one. It is highly likely that this will be acheived in one of the first few races you complete so don't worry about it.
  • Complete Chapter 5

    Story Related, Can't Be Missed

This will unlock after you complete one of the 3 showdowns at the end of Chapter 5, Red Zone (red background). You don't have to do all of the events along the way but it is highly reccomended since you need to complete them all anyway for No Event Left Behind trophy_gold.png.
  • Unlock all Throwdowns in the career

There are 13 throwdowns that are unlocked by completing a predetermined (though not defined in game) number of the various event types in the career. They are located in the next tab over from the career events (r1.png). They are all 1v1 events but you don't need to complete them at all, just unlock them. The last event will unlock towars the end of the career. As long as you are completing all events, this trophy is unmissable.

DLC: Energy

5 trophies

  • Earn all 75 Stamps available in Energy

Unlike the main game, the DLC requires you to win all of the events, rather than simply completing them - 25 in all for this trophy. I found the difficulty slightly higher in these events but if you are having trouble, switch up the car you are using. Sometimes the relative strengths and weaknesses of a particular car will lend themselves to your driving style and/or the event itself.
  • BBs

    Beat Bulldozer

Bulldozer is your opponent in the 1v1 events that make up all three of the events in the very last column of the event page. The trophy will unlock after winning any of the three, though you will have to complete all of them anyway for Extra Energy trophy_gold.png.
  • Complete the "Flying Lap" and the "Sprint Spiral" Sprint events

Flying Lap is the East River Sprint in the 4th column of events and Sprint Spiral is the East River Sprint two columns to the right of that. You just have to complete each event for the trophy (dead last is fine), though you will have to win them both if you are aiming for Extra Energy trophy_gold.png.
  • Drive 30 miles in the Porsche Taycan

The Porsche Taycan is a new addition to the game with this DLC. It is in the GT Rally class so keep an eye out for events you can use it in. This DLC pack does not have enough events to gain 30 miles alone so you can either use it for events in other DLC packs or the main game to run up miles. Alternatively, run some laps in a time trial at East Mitten to top up the distance. The trophy will only pop when you leave the time trial so quit out every ten laps or so to check. Unfortunately, there is no way to know how far you've driven a particular car.
  • Complete the "Wheelspin" Gate Crasher Event

Gate Crasher is a new career mode event with this DLC, though it will look familiar if you've done any of the user generated playgrounds - it is a checkpoint event in a gymkhana arena. This trophy will unlock when you complete the only gate crasher event on the page (Carrara Mine). It doesn't matter what your finishing time is but as before, you will need to beat the time for 3 stamps in order to get Extra Energy trophy_gold.png.

DLC: Uproar

5 trophies

  • Earn all 75 Medals available in Uproar

Unlike the main game, the DLC requires you to win all of the events, rather than simply completing them - 25 in all for this trophy. I found the difficulty slightly higher in these events but if you are having trouble, switch up the car you are using. Sometimes the relative strengths and weaknesses of a particular car will lend themselves to your driving style and/or the event itself. This is especially true for the numerous mixed class events, where the characteristics of the available cars vary quite a bit.
  • Gain first place in one of the Main Events of Uproar

The main events are the three events to the far right of the event page. They are no different to the others and you just have to win any of the three to get the trophy, though you'll have to win all of them to get Dusk til Dawn trophy_gold.png.
  • Complete "Absolutely Smashing" Smash Attack event

This is a new event type added with this DLC which involves hitting either pink cubes (100 points) or blue stars (250 points) to reach a score objective within the time. To get the trophy, you just need to accumulate 4500 points in any time you like in the lone Smash Attack event, though to keep on track for Dusk til Dawn trophy_gold.png, you will need to do it in 1:40.00 or less.

There is a video below showing an example of a successful run, despite missing a couple of cubes. This route should be a good start if you are having trouble.
  • Drive 30 miles in the Duke Coupe Off Road Mod

The Duke Coupe is a GT Rally class car that appears with this DLC. Thanks to the mixed class events, there are ample opportunities to travel 30 miles in the car in the course of completing all of the events. If you don't unlock it by the time you finish them all, just load a time trial at East Mitten and run a few laps.
  • Win a Multi-Class race in career

This DLC pack introduces missed class events, allowing quite different cars to race against each other in the same race. Two of the three events unlocked at the start are mixed class so once you win one of them, the trophy should pop.

DLC: Super Size

5 trophies

  • Earn all 81 Stamps available in Super Size Career

Unlike the main game, the DLC requires you to win all of the events, rather than simply completing them - 27 in all for this trophy.
  • Gain 3 Stamps in one of the Main Events of Super Size Career

The main events are the ones that make up the final events at the far right of the event page. There is nothing special or difficult about them, and you just have to finish one to get the trophy. Though you’ll need to win them all to get Main Course trophy_gold.png
  • Complete the "Rising Tide" and the "Surf n Turf" Brazil Land Rush events

These are two land rush events that you will have to win to obtain Main Course trophy_gold.png , but to get this trophy, you just have to finish both of them.
  • Drive 30 miles in the Bentley Continental GT Ice Race Car

The Bentley Continental GT Ice car is a new addition to the game with this DLC and should be used at every opportunity, both for the trophy and the fact that it is so good. There are more than enough events to that it qualifies for (GT Rally) that you should get the trophy before you complete all of the events.
  • Complete "Race Oddity" Gate Crasher Event

You just have to complete the gate crasher (checkpoint time trial) event to get this one - any time will do.

DLC: Wild Spirits

5 trophies

  • Earn all 75 Stamps available in the Wild Spirits Career

Unlike the main game, the DLC requires you to win all of the events, rather than simply completing them - 25 in all for this trophy. I found the difficulty slightly higher in these events but if you are having trouble, switch up the car you are using. Sometimes the relative strengths and weaknesses of a particular car will lend themselves to your driving style and/or the event itself. This is especially true for the numerous mixed class events, where the characteristics of the available cars vary quite a bit.

This DLC pack includes a couple of the toughest events in the game to win.

The first of these is the Gymkhana, everyone's favourite event from the main game. This time the cars are trickier to drive and the course is not quite as easy to rack up scores on. I chose the Lancia because it is the easiest car to drift out of those available, and I couldn't manage enough points just hitting the jumps and narrow gaps with the other cars. Also, the other cars don't really like spinning on the spot on the purple pad. You can see that the donuts and drifting boost the score and multiplier quickly in this one to enable you to find the spin pad at the end (look for the 3 flaming rings to find it).

The second is the sprint, since the car is so different to everything else in the game. The key is to make sure you are pointing forward out of each corner before accelerating - going down the straight on an angle is very slow.
  • Gain 3 Stamps in one of the Main Events of the Wild Spirits Career

The main events are the ones that make up the final events at the far right of the event page. There is nothing special or difficult about them, and you just have to finish one to get the trophy. Though you’ll need to win them all to get That's the Spirit! trophy_gold.png .
  • Complete the "Todra Trials" and the "Tinghir Tour" Morocco Stampede events

Although you will need to win these events to obtain That's the Spirit! trophy_gold.png , this trophy will pop after merely completing them.
  • Drive 30 miles in the Prodrive Hunter

The Prodrive Hunter car is a new addition to the game with this DLC and should be used at every opportunity to minimize repeat races. If you have the DLC from the time you start the game, there will be plenty of opportunity to use it. If you have completed the main story before getting the DLC, you might have to repeat a couple of events, but 30 miles is not too far.
  • Complete "The Buy-In" Smash Attack event

To get this trophy, all you need to do is finish the smash attack event. If you are having trouble, here is an example of a far from perfect run that gets 3 stamps. While you only need to complete it for the trophy, you will need 3 stamps for That's the Spirit! trophy_gold.png .
