DiRT 4 is a rally themed game developed and published by Codemasters. It's the 12th game in the Colin McRae Rally series and the 6th game called DiRT. You'll have the opportunity to drive in Rally, Rallycross and Landrush races during both your offline and online career. You will have to complete a monthly event and a weekly event for two consecutive weeks and the trophies will only pop when the events are done, which is why the platinum can take a long time. The trophy list is not really hard and the platinum is accessible to everyone, as you can earn pretty much everything in the easiest handling style/difficulty.
Warning: RaceNet seems to have a lot of issues and can go down at any time with no clear indication on when it will be back up. You can't access multiplayer or community events when RaceNet is down.
Note: After completing the first tutorial, you can start with any game mode you want. Try to check the community events every day as two of them (Delta event and event in sunny conditions) can be pretty rare, so you don't want to miss them.
Step 1: Tutorials
First, the game will ask you to create your racer and choose your favorite handling style. You can earn every trophies with any of them so feel free to chose Gamer if you want. You'll then need to complete the welcome event, a short stage in Fitzroy, Australia. You can't skip it and this will be your first trophy. You will have the opportunity to choose a difficulty; feel free to choose Racer if you want as there is only one trophy tied to the Fearless difficulty but it's locked for now anyway.
The game will now put you in the DiRT Academy, you can leave it but you might as well earn the related trophies. Press start go to lessons and complete/watch every Advanced Driving Techniques.
During this step, you will unlock:
Thanks for Coming
...now watch this Drive
Step 2: Career
Once you leave the DiRT academy you will earn your first license and will be able to play your first Rally event. You will need to complete a certain amount of events to unlock more licenses which will unlock new events. Do that until you unlock every event in every category. You don't have to win all the stages/events to unlock the next ones, but try to win as many of them as possible to earn more credits/reputation points. Once you've unlocked everything, you will have to win the last events in each category: the Global Rally Series, the FIA World Rallycross Championship, the Landrush World Series and the Historic Legends Series. That will also unlock the Triple Crown event that you have to win as well.
During your career you will earn a lot of credits and reputation points. You can earn them in any mode, but this is where you'll earn the most of them. Use them to build your own team, hire staff, buy and upgrade facilities to get the related trophies. You will need to reach at least level 28 to unlock them.
During this step, you will unlock:

Step 3: Joyride
There will be 2 type of events in this mode: Smash attack, where you'll need to smash all the blocks in a set amount of time; and Time attack, where you'll need to grab green markers and set the fastest time. You will need to get a bronze medal in every challenge on the same chapter. The first chapter (Welcome to Joyride) is probably the easiest but there are some chapters with only Smash attack challenges or Time Attack challenges if you prefer one or the other. You will also need to get 10 gold medals in 10 different challenges, get a gold medal without touching a red marker on a Time Attack challenge and smash 100 blocks in less than 1 minute on a Smask Attack challenge.
During this step, you will unlock:
Chapter and Verse
Always Believe

Kenneth? What's the frequency?
Step 4: Community events
Here you'll need to complete a monthly event, at least one weekly event during two consecutive weeks, and an event in sunny conditions. Drive carefully for these ones as you only need to complete the event, so you don't want to crash your car and get a DNF, especially during the monthly event as you'll have to wait for another month to have a chance to get the trophy. Also the trophies will always pop at the result screen when the events are done, which means you will need to wait until the month is over to get the trophy for completing a monthly event.
You'll also need to do your best to complete a Delta event in Tier 1; try using an alt account to learn the race and do it with your main account when you're ready, as you'll only get one chance. Delta events don't show up every day so you might have to wait for a few days if you missed one. Completing a Delta event will automatically gives you the trophy for finishing in the second tier or higher in a daily event, as there are only 2 tiers in these events.
During this step, you will unlock:
The Day Today
Delta Force
Flavour of the Week
DiRTy Dozen
Taps Aff
Step 5: Multiplayer
You will need to complete 25 Pro Tour events. An event is at least 2 stages, which means you have to complete at least 50 stages. Your position doesn't matter, you don't even have to finish the race and can crash your car, so long as you get to the credit screen for it to count. You will also need to get promoted to a new tier; you will earn points when finishing in the top half of players and lose points if you're in the last half. The trophy might not pop if you just earn the exact amount of points needed for the promotion; you'll have to make sure to earn at least 1 more point, please refer to the guide for more info. Finally you will need to play one event in Jam Session, which is the name of the multiplayer in this game.
During this step, you will unlock:
Up and up
Sweaty
tankflybosswalk
Step 6: Clean-up
You will probably earn the majority of the trophies mentioned here during your career, but if not you can set a quick stage in free play to get them.
During this step, you will unlock:
Be Brave
Four-titude
I am the 6.0%
Real turbulent juice
