Introduction:
Welcome to Devil May Cry 5's Trophy Guide And Roadmap. First I'd like to say thank you and I hope these trophies doesn't scare you. This game is challenging but it forgives you more than it's previous installments so tough it out and practice because it's very rewarding and fun. I will breakdown how to tackle this hard Platinum below. Spoiler warning! I'm not really spoiling you!
Legend:
DT = Devil Trigger
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Clear the game on Human or Devil Hunter difficulty.
It doesn't matter which difficulty you choose because you must clear them both anyway. During your first play-through, focus on collecting all the Blue and Purple Orbs. You want to have good start with Max Health and Devil Trigger. If possible, go for other miscellaneous trophies as well. The chapter specific ones may take a few attempts but they're very straightforward.
After completing this step, the following trophies should unlock:
Let's Rock!
Showtime!
Fall from Grace
Protect the People
Where the Red Orbs Grow
Reunion
Backroad
Break a Leg
End of the Line
Share the Pain
Light in the Darkness
Eagle-Eyed
This Ain't Over
Don't Mess with the Best
The Qliphoth
Each In His Own Way
Gotta Hurry
Slick Moves
Obedience Training
Back to Life
Man on a Mission
Battle for the Ages
Not Too Shabby
Steppin' up the Style
Seriously Stylish Slaying!
Secrets Exposed
The Quick and the Dead
I Believe I Can Fly
Physical Perfection
The Devil's Own
A New Job
Unarmed and Dangerous
Pet Protection
Step 2: Truly defeat Urizen in Prologue or Mission 08.
After clearing the game, you'll be allowed to use devil breakers during Prologue mission. Previously, you had no choice but to lose and continue through your play-through. You're now fully equipped to handle this boss. After clearing the game you should have developed a bit of skill to survive this boss fight. Plus, you'll unlocked Nero's DT to deal massive damage. To make it a little easier, purchase level 3 charged shot from Nico. This takes a lot of damage and you can spam move to defeat Urizen effortlessly.
After completing this step, the following trophy should unlock:
Well I'll Be Damned
Step 3: Clear all difficulty settings: Son Of Sparda, Dante Must Die, Heaven and Hell & Hell and Hell.
This will take some time but the game is fun. Practice in the void if you run into an enemy that keeps defeating you. Like any game, the more you fail the better you'll become. You can save completing Hell and Hell mode for last since that requires a massive amount of patience. There are videos here to help guide you on the proper path.
After completing this step, the following trophies should unlock:
Doing Daddy Proud
Dance with the Devil
Stairway to Heaven
Highway to Hell
Step 4: Clean up!
You should already have a decent level of skill by now. You should know what combos and weapons that are effective against all enemies. It's now time to go after the hardest trophy by completing every mission with a rank S on every difficulty. Also, finish collecting any trophies you haven't unlocked yet. Some of the time consuming ones should unlock without you realizing it. Completing this step will unlock that .
After completing this step, the following trophies should unlock:
Hell of a Hunter
Worthy of Legend
Nothing's Impossible
Be the Legend
Demon Breeder
Jackpot!
Demon Destroyer
Rearm and Repeat
Dante The Gambler
Who Needs Weapons Anyway?
Devil May Cry
Step 5: Bloody Palace DLC - Clear this mode with all characters.
Bloody Palace is unlocked after you've completed the game for the first time. You can play this at anytime, however you should wait until you cleared Dante Must Die mode. You' will have super costumes for unlimited DT and special moves that restock for massive damage. There is only 3 playable characters available for this mode.
Once you have cleared Bloody Palace with all characters you'll unlock the following trophy:
Path of the Conquerors
In conclusion, this game has 20 missions plus a prologue. Including several levels that can be played with different characters. I suggest trying your best with acquiring S Ranks for every mission. The more you acquire, the less you have to clean up. Always be aware of this goal and you'll do great and finally, remember it's just a game. No need to stress yourself over it.
