Introduction
Welcome to Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune! A video game about the female fighters of the Dead or Alive series on vacation! Instead of fighting in the ring, they're battling on the beach in games of volleyball, on the sand to race to grab a flag and in challenges on a pool to pull the opponent into water by rope or by physical force with their backside but there's also plenty of chances to just relax and enjoy the sunshine, buy a new outfit or trinket from the shops and stop by the casino at night for a bit of gambling.
Your task in this game is to be the owner of Zack Island and you must ensure that your selected woman has the most enjoyable vacation possible over 14 in-game days! You achieve this by playing activities as the lady, fulfilling mission objectives and offering gifts the woman likes. Doing this will increase the enjoyment level of the lady and earn them Zack Dollars for completing activities but completed missions will also give you XP for your Owner Level and Owner Zack Cash. At the end of the vacation you will receive a ranking based on how much the guest enjoyed themselves through the mentioned ways.
The game is not available for sale in retail in the West but can be imported and played on Western PS4s. The game itself has full English menus and subtitles, just make sure you get the Asian version and not the Japanese one.
WARNING
It's not advisable to play this unpatched because not only do the updates fix some really nasty crashing and save file corruption issues. Also note that as of v1.07, your saves are tied to the current patch so won't load if you don't have the latest one installed.
Walkthrough:
Step 1 – Achieve a S+ Rank with every Character
Each character has their own trophies linked to playing Vacation Mode (the game itself) and a Special Vacation! Trophy for satisfying their needs completely to earn a S+ rank at the final assessment screen after the 14 days of their vacation. To earn this rank you must increase the lady's enjoyment level to the maximum of 100 and also complete each of the seven unique character missions linked to that character when they appear.
You will increase the enjoyment level of your chosen woman by playing activities with them, buying them gifts, food or drink they like and completing missions which range from just playing activities, buying items, playing games at the Casino or just relaxing. As the level increases, you will unlock the unique character missions which will always stand out on the mission ticker by starting off with the lady in the description (Kasumi Mission 1/7 etc.). The character missions in terms of layout and type of challenge are the same – buy unique favourite items, win a game of beach volleyball, have the character accept a bikini from the Owner Shop and lastly, hit the maximum enjoyment level of 100 before the last night.
Character missions for each woman stack. If you don't complete in one run, you will be able to continue on from the last/next mission reached during the next play-through with that character. Do every mission that asks for gifts to be bought, in Girl Mode as it's far harder to earn Owner Mode Cash than it is in regular Girl Mode so that saves you some grinding but you specifically have to purchase a particular swimsuit (such as Pure White Bikini, Jet Black Bikini etc.) in Owner Mode, gift it to the character (do so at Night Time) and have her accept and wear it. The easiest way to do this is to play only Rock Climbing and Beach Volleyball (skill dependant), complete easy missions or ones related to those activities and give the character gifts they like only at Night Time at the hotel. Activity wise, Rock Climbing and Beach Volleyball offer the highest enjoyment level increases (as well as Zack Cash earned, which is used to buy stuff from the shops and play Casino games) upon completion with a guaranteed two large hearts for Climbing and three for Beach Volleyball if you win. The key there is if as the A.I can be sometimes very unfair with shots, thus making a Perfect Victory extremely difficult but with practise, even opponents on Normal can be relatively easy to beat. The others offer lower enjoyment even with a win and things like choosing to Relax or anything done in Owner Mode to watch doesn't give any boost so should be ignored for now.
Ignore any missions during the Daytime that are not related to playing Rock Climbing or playing and winning Beach Volleyball (but don't bother with a Perfect Victory Volleyball mission), buying food or drink and consuming in Girl Mode, buying new swimsuits in Girl Mode, playing and winning games of Beach Volleyball and during the Night Time, playing any Casino games or achieving One Pair one or more times. The advantage of completing missions based on consuming food etc. means you can still play a daily activity so you can complete that, then go right to doing Rock Climbing or Volleyball and the mission will award the XP etc. after the activity.
With gift giving, if done during one of the three daytime time segments then it counts as an activity so can use up a time slot and there's a chance the woman will refuse to accept the gift. At Night Time, offering a gift that the woman likes (or would like if she refuses to take it) will give you two big hearts to improve the enjoyment level regardless of if she accepted it or no and take you back to the menu so you can still go to the Casino and do any mission relating to it. Give gifts every night to continue boosting the level. Be aware that food and drink items usually last three day periods so anything bought in the Morning Time will expire/go off by Night Time but anything bought at Day Time or Evening Time will be fine.
Also worth noting that if refused by the woman, all gifts, trinkets and swimsuits can be rewrapped from the Owner Shop or any store to be re-gifted again, very handy for the character-specific mission to get her to wear the specified Owner Shop bikini. If she didn't accept it the first night (and you have the Owner Mode Cash to rewrap) just play through another day of Rock Climbing etc and at Night Time rewrap and try gifting again to the character. See Will She Like It? For a list of preferred gifts and some tips for good gifting.
Glitch warning: There's a glitch that can screw you out of the "Pictorial Ending" Special Vacation! trophies if you're not careful. This happens when Mission 7 of 7 appears during one of the final two periods on Day 14 and for some reason, the game becomes forgetful and doesn't register that you've completed it. To avoid this, just go to town with increasing your girl's Satisfaction level and do enough missions to ensure that Mission 7 of 7 appears either before Day 14 or during the Morning Period.
If at the last night the text at the Night Time hotel reads “Enjoy the Last Night” then you've successfully hit S+ Rank to get the trophy as well as earned some nice bonus Owner Cash and XP based on the rank earned. As a side note during your playthroughs here and in the next step, be sure to buy new swimsuits from the Beach Shop in Girl Mode whenever your character is close to or has hit the maximum amount of Zack Cash to help the costume grind that's upcoming.
Step 2 – The Grind to Owner Level 50
The longest step as we now grind our way to plaything though as many missions as possible to get Owner XP and unlock the two Paradise viewing modes of Event Paradise (Level 30) and Pictorial Paradise (Level 50).
Now we can play all the games, activities and relax as much as we like! Here you'll easily get the rest of the Master trophies for activities, gifting and pairing up with girls and getting each character 20 different swimsuits from the Beach Shop. The last trophies you should get are the Paradise ones so the rest should be a breeze.
Feel free to do any and every reasonable mission that comes your way from games to taking pictures but I would still avoid any missions that involve winning perfect (opponent scores no points) games especially if opponents are ranked Normal or Hard and anything to do with gifting in Owner Mode or wearing another character's costumes. Also, Casino missions for getting a Blackjack in Blackjack or Two-Pair one or two times are very luck based and takes a long time so it's up to you if you want to do all of them.
Every mission completed gives you Owner XP and increases the character's enjoyment, which in turn will mean a better ranking at the end of the vacation and that gives you bonus XP so continue to give gifts at Night Time for that extra boost at the end to hit those levels quicker. Never choose to quit out of the vacation early at the Night Time menu as if you do, then you won't be awarded any rank and will miss out on helpful boosts.
Misaki DLC:
- Estimated trophy difficulty: 3/10 (personal opinion)
- Offline trophies: 3 (2

)
- Online trophies: 0
- Approximate amount of time to 100%: 3-4hrs (personal opinion)
- Minimum number of playthroughs: 1 + Cleanup but 2 + Cleanup is more likely
- Number of missable trophies: None, because all Vacations are replayable you will keep everything you have unlocked/bought.
- Glitched trophies: None but see the glitch note in the Introduction, for info on an issue that can cause problems.
- Does difficulty affect trophies?: Not directly but trying the Hard/Extreme missions or playing against girls rated as Hard will make earning money a lot more frustrating.
- Do trophies stack?: Yes, they stack with the Scarlet version of the game.
- Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheats available.
- Additional peripherals required?: No, VR is optional.
Introduction:
Misaki is the first of two new character DLCs released for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune but do note you will need the 1.17 or higher patch installed and that these DLCs aren't available for the Vita (Venus) release of the game. Misaki is an easy character to play but is very fussy about which items she will accept, since there are only a small handful she actually likes. Regardless, you will still get all 3 of Misaki's trophies in 3-4hrs, depending on how good you are at Volleyball and how quickly you manage to raise her Satisfaction Rate to maximum.

Also note she is the only girl in the game with 2 Loved items, whereas everyone else only has a single item in that category.
- Despite being the first DLC character to be released, Misaki is placed inbetween Nyotengu and Kokoro near the bottom of the character selection screen.
- This Guide is written assuming you are familiar with the game's mechanics/quirks and have finished it at least twice.
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Finish 1 Vacation and try to get all 3 trophies
You should be able to get the S+ Rating needed for

Trophies earned during this Step:
Misaki's Memories

Step 2: Finish your second vacation and try to get any trophies you missed in Step 1
If things went wrong in Step 1 and you failed to get an S+ Rating and/or didn't manage to buy 20 swimsuits, you can do another vacation and finish up there. On beginning a subsequent vacation with Misaki, she will start with a Neutral Satisfaction Rate so you won't have to level it up as much as you did the first time around.
Trophies earned during this Step:
Misaki's Collection

Misaki's Special Vacation!

Step 3: Cleanup (optional)
In the highly unlikely event you are still missing either the Misaki's Collection

Introduction:
Leifang is the second of two new character DLCs released for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune. You will need the 1.17 or higher patch installed beforehand, and these DLCs aren't available for the Vita (Venus) release of the game. Leifang is less fussy than Misaki but handles a lot worse and sucks at Volleyball, hence the higher difficulty rating. Regardless, you will still get all 3 of Leifang's trophies in 4-5hrs, depending on how good you are at Volleyball and how quickly you manage to raise her Satisfaction Rate to maximum. Also note that this DLC supports the VR Paradise mode, so have fun if you possess a VR Headset.

Glitch Notes:
- As of the 1.17 patch, there is a rare glitch which can cause the game to crash whilst in Zack of all Trades so backup your save on a frequent basis to prevent any possible corruption issues. To date, this issue has only happened to me once and only when playing as Leifang so it could be a one off or the start of something more serious but it still bears mentioning. As of v1.19, this glitch appears to have been fixed but it's still recommended you backup your saves on a regular basis in case it hasn't.
- On very rare occasions, Leifang will reject an item even if it's on her "Like" list. If this happens, all you can do is rewrap the item and try again.
