Introduction:

Cat Quest is an action adventure game in the vein of Legend Of Zelda. You assume the role of a cat hero trying to find his sister on an island after she was taken from him whilst they were out fishing. You must make your way across the island trying to find the cat that took her and defeating his dragons to get yourself closer to achieving your goal. Trophy wise there is a wide variety of them that range from story related boss type battles to completing quests & obtaining items. Most of them aren't that difficult as you can level up to very high levels to make anything you are struggling with easier and are more time consuming than anything else.

Game Tip/Suggestion:

This is not required but if you are looking at making the game much easier across the board do the following.

Playthrough the game normally until you learn the location of the Ice Dragon, then head to Pawt City and get the Water Walking ability. Once you have that, make your way to Founder's Island and complete The Gold Key quest. Once you have the Gold Key, make your way to the upper left area of the map to find the Secret Cave. Head all the way to the right until the normal path ends, then head right where you see the experience ball into the secret area. Keep going right past the 3 chests until you find another large chest to get the Willpower weapon. Leave there and make your way to the Hidden Cave and sneak past all the enemies there into the hidden area to the right of the flame dragons. In there, try to lure the Ice Dragon to the lower left corner, then run/roll by him towards the chest to get the Faith headgear. Finally, head over to the Lonely Cave and take out the two chests from above them so you don't bring the hedgehog thing into the battle. After they are defeated, lure the hedgehog away from the chest and then quickly make your way over to it to grab it to get the Courage armor.

With these 3 items equipped, you will have a much easier time throughout the rest of the game. This method can be a little tricky to get enemies to leave the chests you are looking to collect so you might have to try them a few times but are very much worth the effort. After you collect them, if you wish to make things even easier, then head back to the Hidden Cave & keep clearing it to level yourself up as much as you want. Another suggestion would be to get the Purrserk and Astropaw skills and level them up a lot, along with your Freezepaw as these 3 are great for damage and defeating enemies/bosses.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Finish off the main quest

Start a new game and just play through the main quest until it's completion. During this step you will want to work on levelling yourself up, doing side quests, completing dungeons & obtaining weapons/armors. When you complete this step, you will have the following trophies:

  • Catventurer
  • Dungeon Litter
  • Dragon Slayer
  • Dragon Master
  • Dragon Legend
  • Dragon Hero
  • Helper of Cats
  • Fashionista Kitty

Step 2: Clean up

Now that you have finished off the main quest, it's time to keep playing to get the remainder of the trophies that you have left to obtain. Most of them should be easier since you are levelled up higher at this point. By the end of this step you will have the following trophies:

  • Furry Catventurer
  • Super Catventurer
  • Dungeon Scrounger
  • Dungeon Master
  • Light of the Arcane
  • Purr of the Arcane
  • Power of the Arcane
  • Fashionista Cat
  • Fashionista Lion
  • Felingard Lore
  • Felingard Loremaker
  • Felingard Loremaster
  • Servant of Cats
  • Saviour of Cats

  • Just get all the other trophies in the game and the Platinum will be yours!

  • Reached level 10

    See Super Catventurer

  • Reached level 50

    See Super Catventurer

  • Reached level 99

This will probably be one of the last trophies you get in the game. For the majority of the game, just keep killing enemies but also make sure you are trying to get as many of the side quests as you can as well as that is where you are going to get huge chunks of experience by finishing them. When you have completed the main game and all the side quests, you should be pretty high level and only have to grind out a little bit more to reach level 99. The best place to go for high experience is the Hidden Cave (just South of the Death Isle) as there are 2 flame dragons and a hidden ice dragon to kill in there, as well as smaller other misc enemies that by killing them all will give you a level or two boost each time you clear the dungeon. Just keep killing enemies and levelling up, then the trophy will pop when you get to level 99.

  • Cleared 5 dungeons

    See Dungeon Master

  • Cleared 25 dungeons

    See Dungeon Master

  • Cleared all 52 dungeons

Dungeons are scattered all over the map and are in the form of caves and ruins etc. In order to clear a dungeon, you must defeat all of the enemies in it and "cleared" will pop on on the screen when completed. If you have killed all the enemies you see in the dungeon and "cleared" hasn't popped up, that more than likely means there's a hidden passage some where leading to another enemy or so (which is the case in a few dungeons). Dungeons that have not been cleared will have a ? above them. The only one that is slightly hidden and can give you an issue to figure out how to clear it is the Secret Cave which is located on the upper left most snow island. It is located to the top left of the island just behind the mountains as a bush (just look for the ?). To clear it, you must defeat the mimic chest as well as all the ghosts in the middle of the traps (you can't see them but you can see their health bars in the middle of the traps). Once you clear all 52 dungeons, the trophy will pop.

  • Defeated the Flame Dragon

    Story related, can't be missed.

The Flame Dragon is the first dragon boss you will face in the game. His main two attacks are the fire ring attack and a sword swipe. The easiest way to beat him is to level yourself up (level 15+), weapons and skills up a decent amount. Freezepaw works wonders in this battle as it slows him down and gives you a little more time to hit him and also roll away before he attacks. Just keep attacking him while watching out for when he is about to attack himself so you can avoid them and he should fall pretty quickly. Once you defeat the Flame Dragon, the trophy will pop.

  • Defeated the Ice Dragon

    Story related, can't be missed.

The Ice Dragon is the second dragon boss you will face in the game. Before you will be able to face him, you must first acquire the ability to walk on water. To do so, you must complete all 4 of the side quests in Pawt City. Once you finish them and have obtained the ability to walk on water, head to Felingard Lake to find the Ice Dragon. It's best to try to take out some of his smaller ice dragons so you don't have to worry about their ice attack hitting you and slowing you down. The Ice Dragon himself has 3 attacks he uses in the forms of the lightening and ice attacks, as well as a sword slash as well. The easiest way to beat him is to level yourself up (level 35+), as well as your equipment and skills. Freezepaw and Purrserk is a great combo to use against him as well as you will do 50%+ more damage against him as well slow him down. Just keep avoiding his ice and lightning attacks, then counter with Freezepaw and activate Purrserk before hacking away as much as you can before he begins to attack again. Once you defeat the Ice Dragon, the trophy will pop.

  • Defeated the Arcane Dragon

    Story related, can't be missed.

The Arcane Dragon is the last dragon boss your will face in the game. Before you will be able to face him, you must first acquire the ability to fly. To do so, you must complete all 4 of the side quests in Windmew City. Once you finish them and have obtained the ability to fly, head to the circular mountain range just south of the Death Isle. Head in the area with the Arcane Dragon by entering through the eastern opening and fly over the thorn bushes there. Just like the Ice Dragon, you will want to eliminate his smaller dragons as they will make the battle extremely annoying by using trap attacks. The Arcane Dragon himself uses 3 different attacks in the forms of the astro-x and trap attacks, as well as a sword slash. The easiest way to beat him is to level yourself up (level 50+), as well as your equipment and skills. Freezepaw and Purrserk is a great combo to use against him as well as you will do 50%+ more damage against him as well slow him down. Just keep avoiding his astro-x and trap attacks, then counter with Freezepaw and activate Purrserk before hacking away as much as you can before he begins to attack again. Once you defeat the Arcane Dragon, the trophy will pop.

  • Completed the Main Quest

    Story related, can't be missed.

The end of the Main Quest is where you are going after Drakoth to stop him. I would highly suggest that you be around level 65 or so before going into this battle and try to upgrade your skills (especially Purrserk) to make this a lot easier.

When you get to the final section in Frozen Paw, you will first need to take out the boss dragons you already fought but this time all at the same time. Just use the same methods you used before on them and try to isolate them to take them out one at a time to make it easier. After you defeat them, you will then head into final area of the game (just note, once you enter the tower, you can not come back out unless you die or defeat Drakoth so make sure you are ready before entering).

The final battle is where you will fight Drakoth, clones of him and a few misc enemies over the course of a few battles. When fighting Drakoth and his clones, he has all the skills that you have (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Arcane and Trap) and uses them pretty quickly back to back with small periods of down time in between them. It's best to use the same type of strategy as you did on the dragon bosses by hitting him and his clones with a Freezepaw/Purrserk combo to give you more time in-between attacks and deal high damage to him quickly.

Once he has fallen and you complete the epilogue portion of the game, the trophy will pop.

  • Obtained 2 skills

    See Power of the Arcane

  • Obtained 4 skills

    See Power of the Arcane

  • Obtained all 7 skills

You will obtain skills from the different mage temples around the world. You will get the first one for free as part of the story but for the rest of them, you will each be at one of the remaining 6 temples and can be purchased at them for 50 gold. Here is a list of the skills and where you can find them:

    • Flamepurr - Temple is Southeast of The Catpital (Story related)
    • Healing Paw - Temple is behind the Bermewda's Triangle
    • Lightnyan - Temple in East Pawt
    • Freezepaw - Temple is near the Iota Ruins
    • Cattrap - Temple is near the Windmew City
    • Purrserk - Temple is on the island to the Southwest of the South Point
    • Astropaw - Temple is on the island to the Northeast of the Death Isle

You will need the water ability to walk on water, before you are able to get them all. Once you have obtained all 7 skills, the trophy will pop.

  • Obtained 3 armor or weapons

    See Fashionista Lion

  • Obtained 30 armor or weapons

    See Fashionista Lion

  • Obtained 66 armor or weapons

You get weapons and armor in 3 different ways: Quests, dungeons & purchasing them. For the more common ones, you will get the majority of them by doing side quests & opening chests in the dungeons but can also buy a chance at random ones from Kit Cat's for 50 gold each. The rarer ones are going to be locked in the larger chests in the dungeons or purchased for a random chance for 5,000 gold, with a few coming from quests. You will have to do a combination of all of them in order to get all 66 of the armor and weapons required for the trophy. A good place to grind out gold to go after the purchased ones is to go to the Founder's Cave on Founder's Island (just south of Felingard) as you get over 1,000 gold each time you clear it from the enemies in there. Just keep finishing off the side quests, completing the dungeons and buying weapons/armor until you hit 66 items at which time the trophy will pop.

Note: There is a possibility of some items being glitched and not appearing in the chests they are suppose to (Samewrai Helmet seems to be biggest one). If you finish the game, all the side quests & get all the chests in the dungeons and are still missing some items, you will need to farm gold and buy chests from Kit Kat's to try to get them.

  • Located one monument

    See Felingard Loremaster

  • Located half the monuments

    See Felingard Loremaster

  • Located all monuments

There are a total of 15 monuments across the world and are easily visible on the world map. Monuments look like a stone pillar with some writing on the bottom of them. In order to locate them you need to go up to them and press on them to read them. You will know which ones you still need to locate by looking at the world map as they will have a ? over them still. You will need to acquire the ability to walk on water before you are able to get all of them. Once you have located all 15 of them, the trophy will pop.
