Introduction:

Welcome back Battlefield fans to the newest instalment of The first-person shooter developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Battlefield V is the sixteenth instalment in the Battlefield series.

Battlefield V is a world war 2 based game, very much a continued style of BF1 with the inclusion of the war stories and all the different online modes to play. They include Conquest, Domination, Team death match, Breakthrough, Frontlines and Grand Operations. With Airborne added into breakthrough along side Final Stand. A battle royale mode will also be added in a 2019 update as one of the first major DLC. Battlefield V consists of 15 online and 6 story based trophies plus the shiny platinum making a total of 22 on release. The story mode continues with the War stories which was first introduced in BF1. No Collectible or objective trophies included so it's a simple beat all stories on hardcore to finish these up. The Online brings back huge maps and the loved battlefield slugging. Most online trophies are progression using the different classes with only 8 separate requirements needed for the remaining trophies. These themselves are not difficult and will mostly be earned in natural play. Overall, it’s another solid entry for the series.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete all 3 war stories on Hardcore

This will be the shortest step, each story takes around 2-3 hours depending on how well you cope with hardcore. Hardcore isn’t difficult by any means, A few checkpoints may take a few tries, just try multiple approaches that suits you. Difficulty trophies stack so you only need to play them once. There’s been reports of completion trophies not popping, If the trophy doesn’t pop after completing all 3, just go back to each one and select Resume and rewatch the last scene to pop them.

Step 2: Play online until you reach 500k points, making sure you switch between classes earning 100k for each one

Play at your leisure, 500k really isn't much if you play the game regularly. Aim for objectives for a good boost to points. Make sure you play all conquest maps for Globetrotter and play frontlines for Hoist the flag. Other than that, just play the game mode you enjoy.

UPDATES:

Glitched and Current Trophy Issue Update

As of an update in May 2019 all statistic related online multiplayer trophies were glitched.
It seemed that as soon as you left a server, all the stats held against the trophies are erased.

The affected trophies were:

Globetrotter (G)

Jack of all trades (G)

In regards to Death from Above (G)

for some it glitches out unless you get all 5 required kills in the same game. Even staying in the same server doesn’t work for some.

All glitched trophies have been fixed since update 1.44. Make sure that any updates after 1.44 are installed and all trophies will unlock as normal. For most people that started before the glitch you’ll have to earn everything again. However not everyone, there is a certain unknown time where stats have been saved and the trophies will unlock as normal.

Frontlines

Frontlines mode has been taken away. However you can play grand operations until it cycles through the 2 games enough times for a chance at 10 captures. Although still obtainable, it makes this trophy requirements a bit of a grind.

Community Games

Community games have been added (December 2019) and works in the same way as renting a server. Only its free!
This has created a very easy way to boost all MP trophies. Each one will be detailed into the trophy descriptions.
All kill requirement trophies can be boosted with 4 players in private matches with a password to lock out randoms.
Passwords disable XP gain but not trophies. However this means that XP related trophies can not be earned this way, however if you do not put a password on it you can still boost XP with friends in empty servers.

Platinum is now fully Obtainable

November 2020's patch has fixed all issues regarding Globetrotter and the game is fully obtainable with no current glitches

Complete all 3 war stories on Hardcore. This will unlock Storyteller, Veteran and Sins of the fathers. Plus each stories specific trophies. If these trophies do not unlock, select resume on all 3 stories and rewatch the last cutscenes and the trophy will pop. Hardcore isn't difficult but I will provide a few tips on how to beat it, though you shouldn't struggle with it at all. Each story contains 3 missions. making a total of 9 to complete.

Hardcore tips:

- Take your time, rushing in will only lead to a quick death. Always stock up ammo, which may seem short at first but there is plenty out there and look around for new weapons that will appear in enemy camps.

- A stealthy approach is needed for some stages of the story and you will only make it more difficult on yourself by rushing in.

- Having said that, there are a few opportunities in which you can run to a checkpoint or simply run forward enough to spawn the next set of enemies so if you die, you will be spawned at that checkpoint and not before.

- Enemies with the ammo logo above their head will have a rocket launcher so if you see these make sure you take them down first and fast.

- Health will recover so if you get hit just try your best to hide and recover. Keep in mind that enemies will come to find you and call in reinforcements.

- Good thing to note is that when there are multiple objectives it will not have a checkpoint until they are all destroyed.

In Multiplayer, kill 10 enemies with secondary weapons in a round

Using your secondary weapon, pistol or revolver. Kill 10 people in a round. Try and do this in the longer modes like Conquest, Grand Operations or Breakthrough. If you are struggling with this, it can be boosted. See Death from above for a full rundown on how to get into the opposite team.

Create a private game with a password, you and 4 others can use this private server to boost any kill related trophies. You will most likely get this through natural play or whilst going for the Off-hand trophy. If you do struggle, go for the longer game modes: Conquest, Grand Operations or Breakthrough.

Hoist the Flag

In Multiplayer, capture 10 flags in Frontlines

To play Frontlines, go to Multiplayer and then on the right hand of the screen you can select it. You will most likely earn this trophy by the second round. It doesn't take long, just make sure you play the objective.

Update:

Frontlines mode WAS taken away. It is now available again but you can play grand operations until it cycles through the 2 games enough times for a chance at 10 captures if the game mode does disappear again for any reason. Although still obtainable this way, it makes this trophy requirements a bit of a grind.

To save time when using grand operations for this, use the below method:

1- Select Multiplayer
2- Go to Advanced Search (if you choose Grand Operations and list games it will only show games from your region)
3- Choose Grand Operations mode and set everything as any
4- Look for Airborne Twisted Steel or Airborne Rotterdam
5-When you are in the game look at the top left corner to see the Operation name, Battle for France and Raid on Rotterdam are the only two you will play Frontlines on. Arras and Frontlines on Devastation at Day 3 respectively.
6- Battle of Manhunt has the same map rotation as Battle for France but you will play Rush Large on Arras instead.
7- Do not search Frontlines server browser will not show them also if you join the game you may end up Day 2 which is Breakthrough or even Day 3 Frontlines even it shows as Airborne in the server browser.

Community Game Method

Make a frontlines private match, then have 1 team captures the first flag. Once the flag is captured, that team can stay ideal on the flag.

The second team then captures the second flag and stays there. Once that is captured, it goes back to the first flag where the first team is still sitting. This can go back and forth and the game will never end because one team must capture all flags for a win. Also a great method to boost XP

Globetrotter

Play a round of Conquest on each of the launch maps

This requires you to play each of the 8 launch Conquest maps but to be safe, I would try and start each map from the very beginning of the match until it finishes. It is possible to do it all in one go by simple joining a server and letting the game roll through the maps. I would advise this as your main route to the 500k points as capturing the flags offers around 500 points and you can earn between 10k-15k points a round depending on skill. The launch maps are:

Narvik
Devastation
Twisted Metal
Rotterdam
Fjell 652
Hamada
Arras
Aerodrome

Community Game Method

Create your community game and select which ever map you require and play the level. If boosting, you can capture all the flags whilst the other team stands ideal to speed things up.

Death from Above

In Multiplayer, destroy 5 manned stationary weapons with a Airplane

This is going to be the make or break in regards to earning the platinum. Easily the hardest trophy in the game if you can't fly the planes. You need to destroy 5 manned stationary weapons. You'll know this has happened because it will say 'stationary weapon destroyed' along with the kill. Be aware that even if you kill the opponent but do not destroy the weapon it won't count. It has to destroy the weapon and get the kill at the same time. The easiest map to attempt this on is 'Arras' in conquest. Behind flag D (one of the spawn points) there are a few anti aircraft guns along the road heading towards a barn. These are easy targets because you only need to fly a little to the right after spawning with plenty of time to line up the bomb drop. However this will be massively easier with a boosting partner as relying on someone to be there and get the kill will be difficult and massively luck based. Many including myself struggle to fly in these games so i had to boost, the method i used is below.

To boost this trophy:

Step 1 - Make a party and join up
Step 2 - Delete the boosting partner from your friends list (being friends will automatically place you both on the same team)
Step 3 - Go to Multiplayer- Advanced search and select conquest, map Arras
Step 4 - Try and find a server with minimal people, enough to start the game and not get interrupted. This may take a while but it will make it much easier to boost.
Step 5 - Send the server Number (which is on the server info tab in the pause menu) and get them to search for it and join your game.
Step 6 - Do this until you are on opposing teams in a good server
Step 7 - One player jumps into the Anti Aircraft guns located behind flag D
Step 8 - Opposing player jumps into the bomber, select and hold to aim and to drop up to 4 bombs. It may take some getting used to as you really do need a direct hit to blow it up.
Step 9 - Rinse and repeat until both players have the trophy.

A great tip whilst boosting. The player on the anti-air canon can throw 2 dynamite on the canon before entering it (with the assault class) This way, it'll explode in one hit. Thanks Easty for the tip

Community Game Method

Step 1- Create a Community Game
a. Map: Iwo Jima/ Arras
b. Game Type: Conquest
c. Game Size: 64
d. Minimum number to start: 4
e. Make a password

Step 2- Create the game and message the other 3 people the game number and password
Step 3- Everyone run to objective E, there are big guns beside it.
Step 4- One person gets in a plane, and their squad mate stands beside the gun. When they stand beside the gun, a big green dot shows up for the bomber to easily target. This step is not required, but makes it easier
Step 5- One person from the other team gets in the gun
Step 6- Plant dynamite for extra damage
Step 7- When the bombs hit, the other team mate revives them and rebuilds the gun.
Fender Bender

In Multiplayer, roadkill 5 enemies
Drive over 5 enemies, this can be done across multiple matches. Tanks will be easier due to high armour but use any you are comfortable with. Try and scout the outer areas for snipers and run them over. If you are struggling with this, check out the Boosting Thread:

Grim Reaper

In Multiplayer, kill 30 enemies

You will get this over natural play towards the 500k points. Simply kill 30 opponents in any game mode but does not need to be in one round.

Call 'em in!

In Multiplayer, as a squad leader call in 2 reinforcements in a round

Join a game and create your own squad via the squad section in the pause menu. This can be done by pressing . People will join your squad as you are playing the round but it's not needed, however it will help rack up squad points quickly. The points will start accumulating as your squad earns them by playing objectives and getting kills. The points will be displayed above your squad list on the left of the screen. Once you have enough, use two of them by holding + then the direction required for the drop. Once you've selected one, you will equip some binoculars. Aim and request the drop using . The cheapest drop being a resupply, which uses 2,450 points but you can use twice once its cooled down after the first use.
Combat Engineer

In Multiplayer, build 10 fortifications in a round

Best done in any Conquest match. You will notice white outlines with a hammer normally around the flags you've taken. Press and equip a hammer. Simply build 10 of these in a round.
Heads Down

In Multiplayer, fully suppress 5 enemies
To suppress an enemy, you need to shoot near them to effectively 'pin them into position' and allow someone else to get the kill. Do this 5 times across any game to earn this. You will most likely get this during natural play but if not: Use Scout, aim at an enemy objective and lay down fire at anyone moving, just don't hit them.
Jack of All Trades

Earn 100,000 score as an Assault, Medic, Support and Recon

During Multiplayer, you will be earning points via kills, revives, capturing/destroying objectives, providing ammo and squad orders. Rack up 100,000 per class. You need 500k for the Elite trophy so make sure once you've hit 100k you switch up class. You can check your class scores by going to Profile => Statistics => Classes. The game will not update these straight away so give it time to catch up. Normally shutting down the game and reloading will 'upload' the stats. 100,000 points will net you class level 10/11, which is a good indicator that you've reached this amount.

Boosting Method
Community Game

Step 2- no password as this stops XP progression. Can kick randoms if needed
Step 3- Everyone goes to the same outpost and one person captures the tower.

Last Man Standing

In Multiplayer, have 3 squad members spawn on you
When in a match, join up to a squad that has space. If you don't get 3 spawns naturally then try and move into an area close to an enemy objective to look more appealing as a spawning point.

Not On My Watch

In Multiplayer, perform 10 squad revives

You do not need to be a medic for this trophy, although medics are much faster at reviving than the other classes so I would go for this whilst playing one. Wait for a squad member (which will be displayed as Green and not blue) to go down. Once you see the 'heartbeat' sign with a depleting circle around it, you need to run over and revive the squad mate. Repeat this 10 times across any amount of games.
