Introduction:
Battlefield 1 is the latest battlefield game from developer DICE and is set in WW1. You will be introduced to six single player war stories depicting the lives of different people during the war. The multiplayer is based on WW1 aspects of the games so there won't be a lot of the weapons and gadgets that you're familiar with from previous battlefields. There is also a new game mode in the game which is called Operations that's worth a try and required for one of the trophies.
Codex Glitch Warning
The codex "German Anti-Tank Tactics" for Destroying all field guns in Over the Top:
This may not unlock for a lot of people. To try and get in to unlock after you have gotten to the end of the mission when you destroyed the last two field guns over the bridge if the codex doesn't unlock turn back around and try and look for any field guns that have not been destroyed as you may have missed one. There is another case where a certain field gun just wont appear in the game. You may have to keep restarting the checkpoint/mission in order for it to spawn in. If both of these solutions do not work then the only way to try and obtain this codex is to just keep replaying the mission over and over until you can finally get the codex to unlock.
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Finish the game on Easy difficulty:
You can start your first playthrough on hard as it is unlocked right away. It would be better to start on easy however as some of the challenges and collectibles may be difficult for people to do on harder difficulties
During this playthrough you will be focusing on getting used to the game and preparing yourself for the hard difficulty. While playing on this difficulty you will be going for the collectible trophies, challenge related trophies, and all the other miscellaneous trophies in the single player campaign.
There are a total of 53 Challenges in the campaign. The challenges are related to the codex entries that you have to do in each mission. The challenges range from completing certain objectives during a mission, doing certain tasks such as killing enemies with certain weapons or in certain ways in a mission, collecting all of the field manuals in a mission, and completing each of the six War Stories.
Refer to the trophies Taking Down Giants, All men dream, Sound of thunder, Conquering the mountains, & The hills of Gallipoli for a description of what each mission’s challenges entail. Refer to the trophy Enough for a library for the locations of all the field manuals as you will need to find them all in order to complete the collectible challenges in each mission.
After this step, you should have the following trophies:
Friends in High Places
Nothing is Written
Through Mud and Blood
Avanti Savoia!
The Runner
Taking down giants
All men dream
Sound of thunder
Conquering the mountains
The hills of Gallipoli
Up close and personal
Mightier than the shovel
Shock Wave
Triple Boluk-Bashi
Catching up on some reading
Enough for a library
Up to the challenge
Putting in the effort
Master of adaptation
Step 2: Finish the game on Hard difficulty:
This playthrough is optional as you can do everything in one playthrough by just starting the game on hard.
During this step you will be playing through the campaign on the hard difficulty. You can start any one of the War Stories and play them in any order that you like on hard. Make sure that your difficulty settings are set to hard though as it has a tendency to change sometimes between the different difficulties. You will know that you are playing on hard difficulty if the word hard has a white border around them. Refer to the trophy The War to End All Wars for more information on how to get through hard difficulty.
After this step, you should have the following trophies:
The Great War
The War to End All Wars
Step 3: Multiplayer:
During this step you will be going for your last 10 trophies. You may first want to start playing the game mode Operations which consists of 2 – 3 maps and quite a few objectives that you will need to go through. While playing the operations game mode you should play as the scout class and look for other enemy scouts which can be spotted by a glint coming from an area of the map, or you can spot players until you see one with a scout symbol over their head. After you eventually win operations mode you should have the trophy Operations, and Counter-sniper.
Next you will want to go and play the Conquest game mode. While playing this game mode you will be focusing on the other 8 multiplayer trophies which are for getting every class to rank 2, having all 4 classes at least rank 1 or more, reaching rank 10, earning 450 warbonds and completing 25 squad orders.
After this step you should have the following trophies:
Operations
Counter-sniper
Play the Objective
Warbonds
Corporal
Assault Enlistment
Medic Enlistment
Scout Enlistment
Support Enlistment
Decorated
After getting all of the trophies, you will earn: World War One Hero

INTRODUCTION
This is the first of four planned MP DLC expansions for Battlefield 1. This French themed expansion adds four new multiplayer maps. Here they are explained by Dice:
- Verdun Heights: The opening barrage of the Battle of Verdun created massive forest fires in which players will fight for domination. This is an uphill battle towards the massive fortresses of Verdun. A constant grinding struggle where the artillery never stops.
- Fort Vaux: The first big engagement inside a fort during World War 1 takes place in the dark underworld of Fort de Vaux. Down in the maze of dark galleries and wet stone corridors, French and Germans fight ferociously with grenades, guns, bayonets, and flamethrowers.
- Soissons: Take part in one of the biggest tank assaults of World War 1. The French 10th Army moves to take back Soissons using their powerful Saint Chamond tanks. Planes, tanks, and infantry clash in the beautiful French countryside in the early hours of a hot summer day.
- Rupture: In dire need to capture key bridges across the Aisne river, the French find themselves back into battlefields where poppies grow over a rusty wreck from previous tank battles. It might seem calm but this maze of steel beasts provides an excellent place for those who plan an ambush. As the sun sets over Fontenoy, the battle wakes up.
These are playable across the game’s various play modes.
They Shall Not Pass also adds the French army, as well as a new mode called Frontlines. This is a mix of Conquest and Rush. In phase one, both teams fight for one flag at a time and when this objective is captured the action moves on to the next phase. In phase two, you must capture the enemy's HQ control point and the game turns into a Rush-style section where telegraph posts need to be attacked or defended.
In terms of vehicles, They Shall Not Pass adds the Char 2C tank, which is based on a real tank. It is a new behemoth-class vehicle that you get when your side is losing and can help turn the tide of war.
Another tank, the St. Chamond, is added with the expansion as well. A new Elite class called Trench Raider comes to the game. It is a melee-focused class, the Elite Trench Raider uses a "Raider Club" and has access to an "impressive grenade arsenal." A new stationary field gun, the Siege Howitzer, (which can be fired by any infantry player) is also new to the game.
WALKTHROUGH
Step 1: Play French Operations as a French Medic
You will want to go to the Operations menu and play the French Operations located at the top portion of the map. If you happen to be on the German side, you can go into the squads menu and choose to switch sides and become French. You will then need to play for 30 minutes as a French Medic.
While playing as a French Medic you may want to look at the gun challenges and equip a gun that makes progress towards unlocking one of the primary guns associated with the Maître d'Armes trophy.
I would also try to get in the assault tank, known as the St. Chamond. You will need to get 25 kills in the tank. It’s easier to get kills as the driver.
Lastly, always be on the look-out for the new Trench Raider Elite Class pick-up as you’ll need 4 kills with this pick-up. After this step you will earn:
French War Hero
Drei Vier Grenadier
Saint Chamond Operator
Step 2: Continue to play French Operations and select various classes to get your remaining gun kills and finish off the tank or Elite Class kills if not already done.
You will want to look at the gun challenges and equip a gun that makes progress towards unlocking one of the primary guns associated with the Maître d'Armes trophy. Each class (medic, assault, support, scout) has two primary guns associated with it, making a total of 8 primary guns, but you only need 1 kill with 5 unique primary guns for the trophy. Keep in mind that if you kill someone who was carrying a primary gun, then you can pick it up off their dead body and use it. This will count towards the trophy and you can eliminate having to complete the challenges to unlock the gun for yourself. After this step you will earn:
Maître d'Armes

Introduction:
This is the second expansion pack for Battlefield 1. The expansion features the Russian Empire as a playable faction on the Eastern front of World War I during the cold Russian winters. Additionally the Red Army is featured as a playable faction against the Russian Empire during the Russian Civil War. It also introduces playable female soldiers in the form of the Scout class for the Russian Army.
Apart from all this, the expansion also features:
- 2 new Operations
- 6 new maps
- Supply Drop game mode
- New weapons, gadgets and vehicles
- New medals
- New codex entries
- Class specializations
Compared to the first DLC, the trophies will require a fair amount of work this time around (if you decide to unlock all the weapons yourself).
They are all relatively easy however, including Filled the Stockpile which is simply time consuming.
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Check the new weapon assignments and equip corresponding loadouts for all classes
The first thing you should do, is to simply have a look at all the new weapon assignments. Then switch loadouts for each class so that you'll start unlocking the new weapons as soon as you start playing.
Also keep in mind that you need to get 25 kills with the cavalry lance and you should start working on this as soon as possible. This weapon is not equipped by default however. To change this, select the horse on the respawn screen (when available), press until you reach the sword, then press
to select the lance and press
to confirm.
Step 2: Play the two new operations
Next you will want to head to operations and look for the two new operations called "Brusilov Offensive" and "Red Tide". These will be located towards the right side of the operations map and thus might not be visible until you move the cursor.
These new operations will take place on the new maps, but the objective is the same as before. Each operation takes place across two maps and you will either be assigned as part of the defending team or the attacking team.
If you are part of the defending team, you will need to prevent the attacking team from conquering the map. The attackers will get a total of 3 battalions to do this. Each battalion equals 250 soldier tickets for the 64-player mode, and 200 tickets for 40-player matches.
If you are part of the attacking team, you will need to capture and hold several control points at the same time in order to take over sectors on the map. Once you've reached the very last sector, you will need to place bombs. If these detonate you will have conquered the map.
After this step you will earn:
The Revolution is Coming
Step 3: Win 5 games of Supply Drop
Supply Drop is the new game mode that was introduced with the expansion. It's a 24-player game mode where teams compete for control over supply drops that are periodically airdropped into the battlefield. Players must collect the supplies by staying inside the drop's capture radius. The first team to collect 500 supplies wins the match. Once a supply drop has been depleted it will also grant a bonus (e.g.: an elite kit).
After this step you will earn:
Secured the Resources
Step 4: Play a round on each new DLC map
If you haven't managed to earn this trophy yet by completing the previous steps, you can choose to get it out of the way. It does come naturally as you work on the other trophies, thus this step can be skipped if necessary.
Assuming you joined both operations while still on the first map, you will already have played on 4 out of 6 DLC maps. The only two maps which are not being used in the new operations are Albion and ?upków Pass.
If you need a specific map for this trophy, then you can always use the server browser to find it. To do this, go to the server browser in the multiplayer section and press . In the filter options, select 'Maps' and check the ones you want (the new DLC maps are at the bottom).
After this step you will earn:
Endured the Winter
Step 5: Get 25 kills with the Cavalry Lance
The Cavalry Lance is a new melee weapon you can use while on horseback. When first starting the new DLC, the sword will still be selected by default. To change this, select the horse on the respawn screen (when available), press until you reach the sword, then press
to select the Lance and press
to confirm.
Once you're in-game, look for enemy infantry and kill them using your new weapon. You can either choose to charge them using , which is similar to a bayonet charge while on foot or you can simply stab with your Lance using
.
After this step you will earn:
Charged into Battle
Step 6: Continue unlocking all new weapons and get one kill with each of them
See Filled the Stockpile for a full list of all the weapon assignments. Now switch loadouts for each class so that you can make progress on these assignments and continue playing multiplayer matches until you've unlocked all new weapons (and remember to get a kill with each of them).
There's a total of 19 weapons you will need unlock and/or get a kill with. 4 for each class (16 total), 2 handguns and 1 pilot/tanker weapon.
The new grenade and melee weapon are not required for this trophy, even though they appear in the trophy image.
Keep in mind that you can also pick up these new weapons on the battlefield when dropped by other players. If you manage to pick one up and get a kill with it, it will count towards the trophy and you won't have to unlock it yourself anymore.
After this step you will earn:
Filled the Stockpile

Turning Tides DLC:
Overview:
- Estimated trophy difficulty: 3/10 (Personal Estimate)
- Offline trophies: 0
- Online trophies: 5 (4
, 1
)
- Approximate amount of time to 100%: 3 - 25+ hours (depending on whether you’re boosting, or skill if not)
- Minimum number of playthroughs: Several multiplayer matches
- Number of missable trophies: None
- Glitched trophies: None
- Does difficulty affect trophies?: N/A
- Do trophies stack?: No
- Do cheat codes disable trophies?: N/A
- Additional peripherals required?: No
Turning Tides is the third of four planned multiplayer expansion packs for Battlefield 1. This pack has a focus on the amphibious battles of the Great War, and the trophies have a bit of a naval theme as a result. There have been multiple additions to the multiplayer this time around that were released between December 2017 - January 2018, including:
- 4 new maps (Cape Helles, Achi Baba, Heligoland Bight, Zeebrugge)
- 6 new weapons (M1917 Trench Carbine, Maschinenpistole M1912/P.16, Farquhar-Hill, M1917 MG, Carcano M91 Carbine, Type 38 Arisaka)
- 2 new melee weapons (Naval Cutlass, Grappling Hook)
- 1 new faction (British Royal Marines)
- 1 new Elite Class (The Infiltrator)
- 1 new Operation (Gallipoli)
- 2 new vehicles (L-Class Destroyer, C-Class Airship)
Trophy wise, there are 5 to obtain for the Turning Tides 100%, the majority of which will come with just using some of the new features and maps and varying your play style a little bit to unlock the new weapons. One trophy is for getting a roadkill with a Sea Vehicle, which can be a bit fiddly. Anything that you are finding too tough can be boosted with ease; more on that in a moment.
BOOSTING NOTE: With a recent patch came the ability to start ‘competitive’ multiplayer matches with only one person. While this can be useful for some of the trophies, it’s even better with 2 people, as it enables any awkward multiplayer trophy (from this or any of the other Battlefield 1 DLCs) to be boosted with ease.
To take advantage of this, simply head over to Multiplayer tab > Server Browser and use to filter the option for “Disable Pre-Round” to ON. This option means that rounds will begin without the need for 6 players to ready up, and you can play in a match on your own/with boosting partners with the ability to still earn points, kills, flag captures and whatever else you might want to unlock this way.
If no servers show up using this search, it means that nobody will have rented and set up a server using these settings, in which case you can always rent one yourself. A basic 24-hour rental costs £1.19/US$1.99 or you can pay more for a longer duration, and it works well because you can tweak the maps and even enable 200% damage amongst other things to speed up and cater to you boosting needs. The only thing you need to remember is to not apply a password as this turns it into a private match where nothing will count. It’s incredibly rare you’d get a random joining, and if you do, the admin can kick and ban them easily.
Step 1: Check the new weapon assignments and adjust your class loadouts
This step is simply preparation in advance to maximise your time working towards Naval Weapons Collection . Go to the description and note which weapons you might need to buy with your warbonds, and customise your soldier to ensure you are ready to work on unlocking the 9 required weapons for that trophy.
The other thing to note is that you need to complete a Service Assignment for Serve With Honor so make sure to look at those while in the Soldier tab and see what you are close to unlocking, or what looks the easiest to unlock. This will vary depending on how much you worked on them since the beginning of your time with the game - you may be 80% of the way there on a few simply by accident. Make a mental note of what you need to do for this trophy.
Step 2: Complete the new Gallipoli Operation
The first thing to do is to fire up Multiplayer and choose the Gallipoli Operation on the right hand side of the map. It doesn’t matter which stage you jump in here - you can play from the very beginning or the last 5 seconds - once the Operation is completed, win or lose you will get your first trophy:
Become Operational
Step 3: Continue playing the new maps, using Sea Vehicles where you can
This step is mainly directed at obtaining the required 15 kills using the L-Class Destroyer, as well as getting a roadkill with a Sea Vehicle. While the L-Class Destroyer kills will come naturally, the boat roadkill can be either be very annoying or obtained easily when actually going for it, it’s largely down to luck and where the opposite team position themselves. Otherwise, these 2 trophies are easily boostable, and you’ll get them after this step:
Rough Seas
The Power in These Waters
Step 4: Play your favourite game modes to work on weapon assignments
For this step you need to keep working on the weapon assignments, varying your play style, class and game mode where necessary. Most will require kills with certain weapons, whereas others will require damaging vehicles, obtaining multi kills and completing squad orders or reviving teammates. Whatever is it you have left, knock the last remaining criteria out now. This includes working on a Service Assignment if you haven’t already completed one naturally. After this step you’ll have:
Serve With Honor
Naval Weapons Collection
And finally, 100% in this DLC!

Apocalypse DLC:
Overview:

Apocalypse is the last of four planned multiplayer expansion packs for Battlefield 1. This pack has a focus on the more brutal and climactic battles of the Great War. There have been multiple additions to the multiplayer for this final pack, including:
- 3 new maps (Passchendaele, Caporetto, River Somme)
- 2 new aerial combat maps (Razor’s Edge, London Calling)
- 6 new weapons (RSC SMG, Howell Automatic, IMG 08/18, Ross MkIII, M1917 Enfield, Revolver Mk VI)
- 3 new melee weapons (Broken Bottle, Meat Cleaver, Prybar)
- 1 new Assault gadget (AA Rocket Gun)
- 1 new game mode (Air Assault)
- 1 new stationary weapon (Livens Projector)
- 2 new aircraft (Hansa Brandenburg GI, Airco DH10)
Trophy wise, there are 5 to obtain for the Apocalypse 100%, the majority of which will come with just using some of the new features and maps and varying your play style a little bit to unlock the new weapons. Anything that you are finding too tough can be boosted with ease; more on that in a moment.
BOOSTING NOTE: With a recent patch came the ability to start ‘competitive’ multiplayer matches with only one person. It’s incredibly rare you’d get a random joining, and if you do, the admin can kick and ban them easily.
Step 1: Check the new weapon assignments and adjust your class loadouts
This step is simply preparation in advance to maximise your time working towards Weapons of the Apocalypse . Go to the description and note which weapons you might need to buy with your warbonds, and customise your soldier to ensure you are ready to work on unlocking the 10 required weapons for that trophy.
Step 2: Play Air Assault on London Calling: Scourge/Raiders
The first thing to do is head over to the Multiplayer tab and play the new Air Assault mode to get the easiest trophy out of the way on the mode you’ll need to play the least (where trophies are concerned). All you need are 5 kills while in the Behemoth Airship L30, which come very quickly and easily.
After this step, you’ll have:
Flyswatter
Step 3: Continue playing the new maps, looking out for Livens Projectors and Wine Bottles
For the next part you’ll want to play solely on the new maps, using the new stationary weapon, the Livens Projector, until you get a kill with it, as well as looking out for the Wine Bottles dotted across the new maps in order the unlock the Broken Bottle to get a kill with that. It would also be beneficial at this stage to keep an eye out for any Flametrooper Elite soldiers and do your best to melee them, but that can be done on any map where the Flametrooper becomes available so don’t worry too much at this stage. All 3 of the above miscellaneous trophies are easily boosted too.
Once completed, you’ll have the following trophies:
Advanced Studies
Modern Technology
Step 4: Play your favourite game modes to work on weapon assignments and melee kill a Flametrooper
For this step you need to keep working on the weapon assignments, varying your play style, class and game mode where necessary. Most will require kills with certain weapons or classes, whereas others will require damaging vehicles, healing and resupplying teammates, or in the case of the snipers, accumulating headshots. Whatever is it you have left, knock the last remaining criteria out now.
Remember to attempt a melee kill on any Flametrooper that you see.
After this step you’ll have:
Firefighter
Weapons of the Apocalypse
And finally, 100% in this DLC!
