BREAKDOWN:
There are 62 trophies associated with Battle Fantasia. You'll need to complete multiple game modes (Arcade, Story, Survival, and Time Attack, Practice, Network, VS 2P, and VS CPU). It'll take at least 20 hours offline, 40 Playthroughs, and 5 hours boosting to get everything.

You may decide which trophies to tackle or use my strategy below.

STRATEGY:
Step One: Story Mode – Begin by playing through Story mode with every character. This gives good practice with everyone. I recommend at least obtaining everyone’s story trophy before moving to other game modes. If you’re up to it, complete everyone’s story 100% one by one. This will give you all costumes and most of the gallery pictures.

You may also attempt any trophy that states outside of training mode in story mode.

Missables Warning! Each story has two paths. If you end up on path two, you'll miss the chance to get said story trophy. If you do not get a trophy after each playthrough, you must start over. To avoid this, beat every opponent with regular attacks. No Super Moves, Throws, Time Outs, etc.

Step Two: Arcade Mode/2 Player – Many trophies can be obtained in Arcade mode. Start by completing Arcade on Normal (default difficulty setting), then, skip Hard and try Very Hard. The Hard trophy (Squire) will stack with the Very Hard trophy (Knight).

TIP! - To change difficulties go to: Main Menu > Options > Game Settings > CPU Level.

Once you have completed Very Hard mode, it’s time to switch the difficulty to Very Easy. This will make the arcade trophies easier. Now, start going down the list of trophies. Attempt any trophy that states “Single Player Arcade Mode” or “Outside of Training.” If you see trophies that state Two Controllers, skip it for now.

TIP! – Save “You Want me to WHAT?” and all five "combo" trophies for last. They’re the hardest trophies in the game so; they should be the last trophies you attempt (unless you want to save Boosting for last).

Now, it's time to turn on the second controller. If you do not have a second controller, try them in arcade mode or online. There are only a few trophies that I recommend using a partner/second controller for. They are specified in the guide.

Step Three: Other Game Modes – This pertains to the Time Attack and Survival modes. Your goals the following: Obtain Six minutes or less in Time Attack mode; Achieve 30 victories in a row in Survival Mode.

Step Four: Boosting – I highly recommend boosting online with a partner. You will need 60 Ranked wins and 100 Player wins. Boosting will take around 4-6 hours depending on how dedicated you are. USE THE TROPHY BOOSTING THREAD TO FIND A PARTNER.

Glitch Warning! - (PLAYER MATCHES ONLY) - If you get disconnected while playing online, there is a huge chance that you will lose some (if not all) of the previous wins you acquired during the last run. To avoid this, exit the match after 10 battles or so.

Step Five: Combos/Clean Up – Begin by completing all five Combo trophies. Attempt these in Practice Mode.

After you do the combos, start cleaning up by completing any story that is not 100% complete, any trophies you skipped, and finishing up online wins. Once you have all trophies, you should have all the pictures in the gallery. CHECK YOUR GALLERY: Main Menu > Gallery. It will show the percentage of your gallery and allow you to view the awarded artwork. This is also how the gallery trophies are unlocked. Now, finish up by getting You Want Me To WHAT? Follow the Video in the Guide.

62 trophies ( 56  16  )

  • Serf

    Clear arcade mode.

    See “Knight” trophy.

You simply need to beat Arcade mode on any difficulty.

Trophies that stack with this include:

    - Staying Power (Clear Arcade without using any continue).
  • Clear arcade mode on the HARD difficulty setting.

    See “Knight” trophy.

    Trophies that stack

    - Serf (Clear Arcade on any difficulty)
    - Staying Power (Clear Arcade without using any continue)

  • Clear arcade mode on the VERY HARD difficulty setting.

To change the difficulty settings, go to: Main Menu > Options > Game Settings > CPU Level.
Select Arcade Mode from the Main Menu; choose any one of 12 characters; then, battle through Nine Stages.

You may want to decrease the number of rounds you’ll fight. Go to: Main Menu > Options > Game Settings > Rounds 1P. “One Round” battles are much faster than “Three Round” battles but, you’ll only get one chance to win.

    Trophies that stack
    - Serf (Clear Arcade on any difficulty)
    - Squire (Clear Arcade on Hard Difficulty)
    - Staying Power (Clear Arcade without using any continue)

  • Clear arcade mode with no continues.

Recommended Settings: Difficulty – Very Easy; Time - Infinite

You have to beat Arcade mode without completely losing to an opponent, causing you to use a “continue.”. The toughest battle will be with The End of Deathbringer. Just attack and back up immediately, stay back and guard well. When the MP gauge fills, heat up and let him have it. Then repeat the process.

    Trophies that stack
    - Serf (Clear Arcade on any difficulty)
    - Squire (Clear Arcade on HARD)
    - Knight (Clear Arcade on VERY HARD)
    - Staying Power (Clear Arcade without using any continue)

  • Unlock every character's hidden colors.

Story Related. To obtain this trophy, complete every characters story to at least 90%. This will take multiple play-throughs with every character.

Every character has Two Paths in Story Mode. The first path is simple; beat every opponent you battle with a normal attack. To get on the Second Path you must successfully complete a GACHI BATTLE.

Throughout Story Mode, you will come across a few fights called “Gachi Battles.” These battles will create different scenarios if you complete certain conditions. Some send you on the second path; others just show a different result. These conditions are not clearly defined. Below is a link to a guide.

  • Unlock 25% of the gallery.

    See “Curator” Trophy.

To unlock this trophy check the gallery.

  • Unlock 50% of the gallery.

    See “Curator” Trophy.

  • Unlock 100% of the gallery.

To see how much of the gallery you've unlocked go to: Main Menu > Gallery. There will be a percentage on the bottom right end of the screen. Checking the gallery will unlock the gallery trophies.

Pictures for the gallery are unlocked through completing each character’s story and obtaining other trophies. This will take multiple play-throughs with each character. Below is a guide.

Gachi Battle List and Story Completion

  • Play a ranked match on PlayStation®Network.

    See “International Ninja” trophy.

Choose “Network” to access online play.

  • Win 10 ranked matches on PlayStation®Network.

    See “International Ninja” trophy.

Choose “Network” to access online play.

  • Win 30 ranked matches on PlayStation®Network.

    See “International Ninja” trophy.

Choose “Network” to access online play.

  • Win 60 ranked matches on PlayStation®Network.

To fight online go to: Main Menu > Network > Ranked Match.

The settings of a Ranked Match cannot be changed. You must fight three round battles. Once the match is over there is no option for a rematch.

Your best option is to boost the online trophies with a partner. Have one person create a ranked match and have the other search for a ranked match. You’ll probably be paired up every time. T

    https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/battlefantasia/32947-trophy-boosting-thread.html

Take turns beating each other one at a time, or spread out the wins.
Example: win five times, lose five times, rinse and repeat.

If you don’t want to boost: search for matches or host a room and wait for someone to join it. Finding matches on your own will be fairly difficult.

Going for International Ninja will unlock “Plays Well with Others,” “Local Legend” and “Success Story”
  • 'In single-player arcade mode, on a difficulty higher than NORMAL, survive Deathbringer's Apocalypse Flame attack and win the round with full health.

The difficulty must be on Hard or Very Hard. It’s recommended, from others who have this trophy, to do this on Very Hard.

Stay back as much as possible to avoid any unnecessary contact. Practicing your Gachi/Parry (R1) skill is the key to success. Deathbringer’s attack, “Apocalypse Flame,” is a fast 22 hit combo. You will need to Gachi/Parry (R1) every individual hit in this move. If you can manage to perfect Gachi/Parry, as well as beat up Deathbringer, you should get this eventually... eventually…

This is by far the hardest trophy in the game. Please study every bit the video below.

  • Defeat the End of Deathbringer in single-player arcade mode without Heating Up.

This requires you to beat The End of Deathbringer without Heating Up on the finishing blow. Beat up this supercharged Deathbringer normally by heating up. When his health is VERY LOW, stop heating up and start the regular attacks. Once The End of Deathbringer has been defeated properly, the trophy will unlock.

This trophy can be very frustrating because normal attacks only do 01-10 hp damage. Difficulty depends entirely on how low you can get your opponents health. The lower the health, the better your chances become. If you Attack too many times, you will accidentally K.O. the End of Deathbringer and have to start from the beginning of Arcade Mode.

  • Clear Ashley's main scenario in story mode.

To unlock all the Story Mode trophies you must complete each character’s Main Scenario WITHOUT completing any conditions during Gachi Battles (Which will put you on a different path of the story). An easy way to make sure you stay on path is to K.O. every opponent with a regular attack (A, B, C, D). When you reach the end of the story, the credits will roll. This strategy applies to ALL characters.

Tip – Let each opponent win before you move forward in the story. It will go toward the costume and gallery trophies. Every bit helps!

  • 30 consecutive wins in survival mode.

Select “Survival” from the Main Menu. Remember to keep your guard because you cannot lose. If you can manage to win 30 fights in a row, you will earn this trophy.

30 consecutive wins will net you the “William Wallace” and “Henry V” trophies.

Recommended Character: DeathBringer. Spam Special moves and block consistently. (by:Gercksid)

  • Clear time attack mode within 10 minutes.

See “Faster than anything” trophy below.

  • Clear time attack mode within 8 minutes.

See “Faster than anything” trophy below.

  • Clear time attack mode within 6 minutes.

Pick “Time Attack” from the main menu and get ready. The less time you take defeating your opponent the better. Your goal should be to secure every victory in 20 seconds or less. The End of Deathbringer puts up a good fight, so you’ll need all the extra time you can get.

Unlocking this trophy will unlock the “Faster than a Speeding Bullet” and “Faster than Lightning” trophies.

  • Outside of training mode, dish out a total of over 1,000,000 damage.

You can get this trophy by playing the game outside Practice mode. The total damage you cause to others will accumulate over time. It’s a fair grind if you start from zero. Eventually you’ll get it. I recommend just playing through the story mode trophies (listed above), then, going in Arcade mode. You should have it by then. The trophy will pop up as soon as the game recognizes you have dealt 1,000,000 HP damage.

  • In single-player arcade mode, seduce every character with Ashley's taunt.

Just play through arcade mode with Ashley. During each fight use Appeal/taunt (R2). The taunt has to completely finish without being interrupted for it to count. If you get hit, you must do it again. If you lose a battle, the previous taunt will be discarded and you will have to taunt the opponent again. If you did this correctly, the trophy will unlock after you taunt The End of Deathbringer. This is the only fight you do not need to win in order to get this trophy.

  • In single-player arcade mode, get 25+ hits with Coyori's Cat Storm.

For this one, you need to fill up Coyori’s MP Gauge to do “Cat Storm”. Get close to the opponent and use “Cat Storm” (DCFx2 + B/D then, repeatedly hitting all buttons to boost the number of hits). This move will only give around 13 hits if you do not smash all the buttons repeatedly. Keep trying if you don’t get it. You should get 25-30 hits eventually and the trophy will unlock. I personally find it easier when you heat up first.

This trophy is good practice for “Maladie Des Griffes Du Chat” located above. You can possibly stack the two trophies together.

  • Outside of training mode, as Death Bringer, defeat an opponent with a single move.

You can do this with two controllers (VS 2p) or online (network).

    Recommended Settings: Rounds – 3 or more (better chances);
    Time – Infinite

The “single move” referred here is the “Final Inferno” (QCFx2+C hold down*). Hold down C until Deathbringer attacks automatically. You must be next to your opponent to do this move. You have to have one full bar on your MP Gauge to pull this move off. Take the first round to attack and fill up the MP Gauge. On the second round, do the Final Inferno on your first move. When done correctly the attack can do 9,999 hp damage.

  • Outside of training mode, win a match with only 1 HP left.

You can do this with two controllers (VS 2p) or Online (Network)

Recommended Settings: Rounds: 1-3; Time: Infinite

Go to VS 2P mode, pick anyone you want, and choose Olivia as your opponent. Use Olivia to drain your character’s health. When your Health reaches a low number (as low as possible), start using Olivia’s “Shall We Dance” move (FCB + A/C). This move only delivers 1hp damage, so spam it until your character has 1hp. Now Destroy Olivia. This trophy should unlock.

  • In single-player arcade mode, hit an opponent with Watson's level 3 Torabasa Minore.

Have Watson use only attacks, this will make him level up. You need to level up twice, without being knocked to the ground. Next, fill your MP Gauge once. Press DCFx2+B or D to do Torabasa Mayore.

A garden will appear on the stage. Get your opponent to enter the garden and a giant bear trap will attack. If the bear trap is RED you have executed the level 3 Torabasa Mayore. Trophy should pop up..

  • In single-player arcade mode, see Face whip out his instrument while wearing hot pants.

You must complete at least 50% of Face’s Story in order to unlock his hot pants costume. Below is a link to the story guide.

Gachi Battle List and Story Completion

All you have to do is play arcade as Face and choose his hot pants costume (press to choose the hot pants costume). At the beginning of each battle, Face will do a little pose. One of his poses is playing a harmonica. When he does this opening pose, the trophy will unlock. You may also try keeping your character idle for a moment. When nothing happens on the battle field, Face pulls out his harmonica. It can take more than one battle to get this.

  • Outside of training mode, have 2 Freeds in Heat Up mode do Magnum Jetter on each other simultaneously.

Can be done with two controllers (VS 2p) or online (Network).
I recommend using a partner for this trophy.

First fill up one bar on your MP Gauge (with both Freeds). Next, get about arm’s distance from one another. Heat up (), then, both perform Magnum Jitter (hold back briefly, then forward + A/C) at the same time. This is done easily offline. You might experience some lag problems while trying this online, but it can be done! If you don’t get it the first time, keep trying.

  • Play a player match on PlayStation®Network.

    See “Warlock” trophy below.

This will unlock by completing one player match.

  • Win 10 player matches on PlayStation®Network.

    See “Warlock” trophy below.

This will unlock by completing one player match.

  • Mage

Win 50 player matches on PlayStation®Network.

    See “Warlock” trophy below.

This will unlock by completing one player match.

  • Win 100 player matches on PlayStation®Network.

    Recommended Settings: Rounds – 1

Boosting is recommended because of online inactivity.

    https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/bat...ng-thread.html

To play online, select “Network” from the main menu. Then, select “Player Match.” Have one person create a match while the other person searches for a match.

Player matches are slightly different than ranked matches. You may invite other players and customize the match settings. You can also continuously battle with one person by selecting “Rematch” on the score chart at the end of each battle. The player losing the matches should choose Watson. He has the least amount of health.

Glitch Warning! If you get disconnected, there is a huge chance that you will lose some (if not all) of the previous wins you acquired during the last run. To best avoid this, exit the match after 10 battles or so.

Because of the glitch, there is no big point in keeping exact track of your wins. Just keep doing the same process and the trophies will come.

Going for this trophy will also unlock “Apprentice,” “Acolyte,” and “Mage” (listed above)

  • Outside of training mode, get a Double KO.

This can be done with two controllers (VS 2p), or online (Network).

The easiest way to get this trophy is to use two controllers in VS 2P mode. Pick the same character. Take turns hitting each other with the same attack until each opponent only has one hit remaining. Position your characters arms length away (so their knuckles will hit). Then, do the same attack simultaneously. If done correctly, both opponents will die and the trophy should pop up. If not, try again.

Secret trophies

  • Bestowed upon those who have been awarded with everything Battle Fantasia has to offer. Thanks for playing!

This will unlock after you have obtained the other 61 trophies.

Congratulations, you’ve just unlocked every trophy!

  • Outside of training mode, use Urs's tauting to enter Heat Up mode.

Can be done with two controllers (Two Player) or online.

Hold down Appeal (). Urs will pull the cord on his chainsaw. After the fifth pull, Urs automatically enters heat up mode. The trophy should unlock.

  • Outside of training mode, use Cedric's Nose Glasses.

Cedric has way too many pairs of glasses on him. To make him switch his spectacles, just press QCB+. The order of appearance is random, so keep changing until you have the nose glasses.

I tried this with two controllers, but Cedric would not pull out the nose glasses. After 30 minutes, I gave up.

Stackable Trophy: If you pull out the nose glasses against Deathbringer, you will obtain the “Marxist” trophy.

  • In single-player arcade mode, finish off Watson with Donvalve's throw.

Just beat down Watson with Donvalve, then, when Watson’s health is very low use, get close and use Throw (L1 or A+B). If one attempt doesn’t win the battle, keep trying.

  • Finish off Olivia with Ashley's Steal Your Heart in single-player arcade mode.

Close Range attack. You have to deplete Olivia’s health then, use Ashley’s “Steal Your Heart(HCB+A/C) to finish her off. If the move doesn’t KO on the first try, spam that move until Olivia is defeated. This trophy will then unlock.

  • In the single-player arcade mode, end a battle with Deathbringer's Final Strike.

You will need to beat up the opponent first. Their HP needs to be almost in the red (around 1,000 HP). To perform the “Final Strike,”heat up (L2), then, hit the opponent with a normal sword attack three times. The move will automatically start if you did it correctly. K.O. with “Final Strike” and the trophy will unlock.

  • In the single-player arcade mode, hit with Donvalve's strongest swing, the Don Don Swing.

To perform this, you will need to fill 1Mp in the MP Gauge.

Don Don Swing is started by rotating the directional controls 360 degrees twice (any direction) + A/C. Continue the rotation as fast/much as you can. If you manage to get Donvalve to fly to the top, you’ll activate Super Don Don Swing. If you do not activate Super Don Don Swing, the trophy will not unlock. It might take a few tries to get it right.

  • In the single-player arcade mode, finish Face off with Marco's throw.

When Face’s HP is very low, perform throw by getting close and pressing R1 or A+B. If one throw does not knock out your opponent, try and try again. This trophy will unlock upon completion.

  • In single-player arcade mode, finish off a female opponent with Marco's throw.

When you fight against a female opponent, beat her up, get close, then, use throw (R1 or A+B) for the finishing blow. If one throw doesn’t do the trick, keep trying. Check the video (credit to King SuperOne):

  • In single-player arcade mode, use Cedric's Nose Glasses against the End of Deathbringer.

To switch your glasses press QCB+R2 (Taunt). It will probably take several attempts to actually pull out the Nose Glasses. Keep trying! You must be in battle with Deathbringer as the terms of the trophy state.

When you can manage to pull out the Nose Glasses, you will also unlock the Oh, no you didn’ttrophy.

  • In the single-player arcade mode, end a battle with Olivia's Shall We Dance?

This is slightly annoying because the move you need to pull off only delivers 1hp damage. To do “Shall we Dance,” press HCB+A/C. You must be very close to perform the move.

Try to deplete your opponents HP as low as possible, next, spam “Shall we Dance” (HCB+A/C) until your enemy is knocked out. The trophy will pop.

  • Get a 30+ hit combo with Urs.

    Recommended Combo: Heat up, Gachi, Jump + A, Speed Glide, A, Speed Glide, A, Speed Glide, Full-Throttle Road Master. (L2, Gachi, Jump+A, QCB+B/D, A, QCB+B/D, A, QCB+B/D, QCFx2+A/C).

    My Recommended Combo: Heat Up, Barl Fire Shot, Gachi Drive, Jump+A, Speed Glide, A, Speed Glide, A, Speed Glide, A, Speed Glide, A. (L2, QCF+A, F+R1, Jump+A, QCB+B, A, QCB+B, A, QCB+B, A, QCB+B, A).

Recommended Settings: Practice Mode; MP Gauge MAX; Gachi Drive ON.

Both of the above strategies work well.

First, push your opponent to the wall and find the distance it will take for you to hit the opponent with a heated up Barl Fire Shot (QCF+A). You’ll want to remember the distance because it gives you a little extra time to do the next move.

Heat Up, then, perform QCF+A. Your opponent will Gachi Drive this attack. A Gachi Drive is when someone performs a Gachi Parry and it sends the enemy flying to the wall and back. You will need to Gachi Drive (Forward+R1) the opponents Gachi Drive. Getting the timing right is necessary to the combo. Immediately press Jump+A as your Gachi Drive hits because the opponent will fly back at you in the air. Once you’ve touched the ground, press QCB+B then, hit A. Repeat the last two attacks 4 times. This will get you up to 32 hits if it’s done correctly.

The other recommended combo is done exactly the same way. The only real change will be pressing QCFx2+A/C instead of QCB+B on the last part. You will still have to press QCB+B, A, QCB+B, A, QCB+B before you attempt QCFx2+A/C.

  • Get a 50+ hit combo with Coyori.

    Combo Trophy

Recommended Combo: heat up, crouch, AAABC, QCFx2+C, QCFx2+D and smash buttons repeatedly

Recommended Settings: Practice Mode; MP Gauge MAX.

I personally find this easier by doing the beginning combo “AAAC” instead of “AAABC”.

Select “Practice” from the main menu and choose Coyori. Change your Mp Gauge to Max from the Practice Settings in the Pause Menu.

Push your opponent to the end of the stage and stay as close as you can. Heat up, Crouch then, quickly press AAABC, QCFx2+C, wait for combo, QCFx2+D and smash buttons repeatedly.

You have to be quick with this combo in the beginning. When you start the combo (AAABC) you’ll want to begin “Crazy Cat Dance” (QCFx2+C) as soon as you’ve pressed “C”. You will know if you missed the combo because your combo counter will start over if your timing is off. Once Crazy Cat Dance initiates, you’ll have room to breathe so, wait for the combo to finish. This move is 13 hits and the last hit has a second gap between itself and the rest of the combo. You will need to perform Cat Storm (QCFx2+D) on or after the 12th hit. If you time it right, the 13th hit will contact. If not, it’s OK. Now you should only be focusing on building up the combo on the cat storm by repeatedly smashing all buttons, the d-pad works better than the analog stick (this is the toughest part of this combo). Keep trying and you will get 50+ hits eventually.

Before you try this, you might want to practice with the trophy “Furricane” (located below) which involves turning Cat Storm into a 25+ hit combo.

If this is done in arcade, I believe you can stack it with “Furricane.”

  • Get a 40+ hit combo with Watson.

    Combo Trophy

    Recommended Combo: Heat up, QCB+C twice, QCF+D, QCB+C, QCFx2+C.

Recommended Settings: Practice Mode; MP Gauge MAX.

Push your opponent against the wall and heat up. Very quickly press QCB+C twice. Immediately after, press QCF+D. This will put out a mini bear trap. Let the bear trap build up some hits then, press QCB+C. If you did this quick enough, Watson’s Twinkle Dust” will begin. Let the meteors rain down and right before they stop, press QCFx2+C to unleash “Alsuhail Almuhlif.” This should get you 40+ hits and the trophy.
  • Get a 20+ hit combo with Freed.
