Genius Trophy in Batman: Arkham City

  • Genius

Rescue all the hostages from Riddler

    How to unlock Genius

You will need to complete all 400 Riddler challenges in order to rescue all of the hostages. If you have Catwoman’s DLC or Return to Arkham on PS4, you’ll have 440 instead, as Catwoman has her own collectibles and physical challenges. While this does mean you can collect 400/440 Riddler challenges, some of which can be Catwoman’s, and earn this trophy, you will still need all 400 of Batman’s challenges completed for Perfect Knight - Day 2.

GamesRadar has created an excellent guide for getting all 400 of Batman’s Riddler challenges, using both text and images. The guide can be seen below, and we highly recommend using it. You can alternatively use the in-game method of interrogating Riddler’s informants, but the issue with this is that, even after interrogating all hostages, not all of the Riddler challenges will appear on the map (especially in the underground). As such, use the guide.

    Batman: Arkham City Riddler guide

You will have come here before for a previous Riddler trophy, but the door leading to the hideout was locked. If you have at least 400 riddles, it will be unlocked.

After entering the hideout, simply follow the floor paths while staying a comfortable distance from the walking officers (you’ll see green beams in front of their faces; stay out of these). Follow the paths under a metal platform. Here you will be able to take down the Riddler with .

  • I actually unlocked this without getting all 400 of Batman's riddles. Not sure if Catwoman's count toward the 400 total required to unlock this side mission.
  • @ lucky u. i have all 400 and i didnt got it
  • do the combat challenges count, it would b a pain
  • i think the ending for the riddlers revenge side missions was rubbish.
  • @1. I've had the same thing. I was finishing off collecting Batman's riddles and all of a sudden the last part unlocked. I had collected all of Catwoman's trophies so maybe once you hit 400 regardles of whose they are it unlocks. I'm still going to finish up the last of Batmans riddles before I do the final rescue though.
  • K, I got it with 399 of batmans riddles and 39 of catwomans so.....?
  • The Catwoman riddles DO count towards the 400. When I hit 400 between Batman and Catwoman I was able to rescue the last hostage.
  • @ 2. U need complete he's last mission too. Not just get 400 riddlers..
  • Is it recommended to finish the game first and then do the riddles since you probably need all of Batman's powers and abilities to reach all of them like in the first game?
  • Many people have been stuck on the wonder city riddler trophy with the ceilling so i found another way to do it :go to the opposite side and line launcher to the wall below the ceiling then before you hit the wall change deriction causing batman do kick the air thus breaking the ceilling.
