Welcome to Bakugan, Bakugan Brawl! - Introduction
Bakugan Battle Brawlers (The Video Game) is based on an anime TV show that airs on Cartoon Network. You create your own character, and you start off as a newbie. You become best friends with Dan, the main character in the TV series and you two later team up along with other friends like Ryno, Shun and Julie to stop the Dark Dimension from taking over. Your Bakugan (Leonidas) is from the Dark Dimension and in his mind, he wants to take over the world. Can you turn your Bakugan from evil to good?
Gameplay
At first, Bakugan looks like a complicated set up. But trust me it isn't. Well, it might be for your 1st battle...but you'll get the hang of it in about 5 battles. Your deck contains a maximum of 3 Bakugan, 3 Ability Cards and 3 Gate Cards.
What are Gate Cards?
The Bakugan Gate Cards are cards that the Bakugan "stand" on and battle for.
Each of the Bakugan Gate Cards has 6 G-Power boosts, these attribute bonuses have the various attribute icons (Pyrus, Aquos, Darkus, etc.) and are added to the Bakugan when they battle on the card. The Bakugan Gate Cards come in either Silver, Gold or Copper.
What are Ability Cards?
There are three types of Ability Cards. One can give you extra G-Power boosts depending on what Bakugan you and/or your opponent uses. The other can change the rules of the mini-games. The last one can be simply destroying your opponent's battle item.
About the Trophies
There are 52 bronze trophies in this game. Personally, this is my first trophy game that has this amount of bronze. Most of them are grind trophies. If you love to grind and grind then this game is for you. I also noticed, we have way more trophies in this game then the 360 version of this game.
Walkthrough:
1 - Do Story Mode until you complete Supreme Tag Team Tournament
When you start up the game for the first time, you have to pick an attribute for your Leonidas Bakugan. DO NOT PICK HAOS. You will find it extra difficult to fight the final boss with that attribute.
Simply complete the Neo Challengers and Supreme Tag Team tournaments. You will get the "Intermediate" Trophy when you successfully completed the tournament.
1.5 - Grind in Park as much as you can
If you want an easier way to get Grand Battle Brawler, Reliable Battle Brawler and Mighty Battle Brawler...then this is a great time to do it now. Go to the park, and try to get most wins on each mode to get these trophies. Of course you can skip this step...but let me tell you this. Once you begin the Brave Battlers Tournament, the difficulty of each CPU increases. All CPU characters are on "Easy", but as you progress in story their difficulty goes to "Normal", and towards the end of the story, "Hard". Therefore this will make things more harder for you to get these three trophies. So if you want a simple easy wins for all these trophies, do this now. Skip this step if you want to grind with Normal/Hard CPUs.
(I would like to thank hermdog006 for warning us about this).
2 - Complete the Story Mode
Just complete all the tournaments. There are 4 Tournaments to go. Please note, that there will be an extra opponent to battle after the final of these tournaments.
- Brave Brawlers
- Maximum Power
- Bakugan Master Cup
- Ultimate Battle Tournament
3 - Story Mode Clean Up
Now this is where the real grinding starts. You need to build up a lot of Bakugan points to purchase every Bakugan and every card in store. If you didn't get Grand Battle Brawler, Reliable Battle Brawler and Mighty Battle Brawler trophies before this step, then you'll have to do this now. Please note ALL CPUs are set to Hard. (You can't change their difficulty).
Meanwhile, you'll have to go the park and beat every single character in a 1-on-1/Battle Royale battle at least once. It's important to keep checking on the Bulletin Board for updates.
4 - Battle Arena Mode
This is very easy but time consuming. You can spend another pointless 1 to 2 hours in this mode. You'll have to play with each character (make sure 1P plays as every character, there are no shortcuts) and play in every battlefield. If you didn't get the Special Shot trophies or the Staying Power trophy, this would be the perfect and the easiest time to do this.
