Introduction:

Welcome to Atari Flashback Classics Vol. 2. Unlike Vol. 1, the trophies from Vol. 2 are harder; in particular, getting 50K on Asteroids Deluxe without dying is a total pain. If you are master at those games, you have no problems at all, but this is not an easy plat you are looking at! Anyway, good luck and have fun!

Exploit Note:

I have found the backup save exploit for this game to make some of the trophies easier. Like in Vol. 1, the exploit will work in Vol. 2, and it'll make some trophies less frustrating.

1. Pause the game and quit out to the menu
2. Quit the application
3. Go to settings
4. Go to save management
5. Go to saved data in system storage
6. Copy it to the USB or the Plus Cloud Storage
7. Select your save for Atari Flashback Classics Vol. 1 or Vol. 2
8. Simply hit Copy to the USB/Upload to the Cloud Storage
9. If you have it on your drive/cloud storage, hit yes to overwrite your file.
10. Go back to your game, and your game will continue where you left off.

25 trophies ( 10  8  )

  • Earn all trophies

Congratulations! You have unlocked all other trophies on Atari Flashback Classics Vol. 2!

  • Try every game

This is the easiest trophy in the game: simply play every game. You can also start up the game, quit out to the menu, and move on to the next game. Rinse and repeat until the trophy is yours.

  • Solve Atari Video Cube

This trophy can be pretty confusing. You have to solve the entire Atari Video Cube, just like the Rubik's Cube in real life. Fortunately, you can use this video down below.

  • Play Happy Birthday in Brain Games' Play-Me (Game 19)

This trophy is a piece of cake. Switch to Game 19 (Play Me) to play a song. The Happy Birthday notes are:

    9-9-8-9-6-7+7+7
    9-9-8-9-5-6+6
    9-9-2-4-6-7-8
    3-3-4-6-5-6+6

According to the manual from the game, you must hold a beat for more than one count, like if you see "7+7+7," you literally need to hold it for at least more than a second, and then you move on to the next beat. After you performed the song correctly, you will get this trophy.

  • Reach the top of the local scoreboard in Crystal Castles

To get this trophy, you need to get a high score in Crystal Castles, which is 30,000 points. For the fastest and the easiest way to get it, go to the top left of the first level and jump. After you do that, you will earn 140,000 points. When you get enough points, just lose all of your lives and register your initials, and the trophy will be yours.

  • Get a score of at least 10 in solo game of Flag Capture

Before you attempt this trophy, you must select Game 8 (One Player with Stationary Flags). After you select it, you must get 10 flags before the time runs out. There are some clues you can use by holding the button to reveal the number which is closer to the next one, but be careful if you reveal the square that has a bomb on it, you'll go back to the start. Make sure you reveal the square that has a flag on it 10 times in order to get this trophy. Good luck!

  • Hit the ejected garbage in Major Havoc

This trophy is a walk in the park. Press when the game starts playing, before you even begin taking down the ships.

  • Reach the top of the local scoreboard in Missile Command

To get this trophy, you must score at least 7,500 points in Missile Command, but this is not hard at all. When you get enough points, just let all of the cities get demolished. After the game is over, you must register your initials to get this trophy.

  • Earn a bonus life in Red Baron

This is an easy trophy. You must score at least 2,000 points to get an extra life. There's nothing hard at all.

  • Win Level 2 without slaying a single dragon in Adventure

This trophy is not easy, but not impossible either. You must beat Game 2 on Adventure without killing any of the dragons, so you must stay away with the sword. But, be careful, as there's a bat that can steal things and fly away, and it'll pick up a different item. If you do kill a dragon by accident, you will need to start the game all over again. Take your time.

  • Kill 10 UFOs in a single level of arcade Asteroids without dying

This trophy is a pain. You will need to destroy 10 UFOs in the first level without getting killed. If you die, you must start again! Again, this trophy is a total pain; be patient!

  • Reach the top of the local scoreboard in Gravitar

This isn't an easy high score trophy, and the controls are pretty hard to perform. The high score is 9,900, so you must reach more than that to get this trophy. At the start, you can select any planets you want, but watch out the black hole because it will kill you. You can select the planet with 9000 bonus points, which is the fast, but hard way to get this trophy. You must get to the center of the planet to shoot the reactor. After you shoot it, you must escape before the time runs out. But be careful not to crash into the walls or run out of time, or you won't be able to get some big bonus points.

An another way to get it by going to an easy planet to destroy all of the enemies, but don't forget to pick up the blue box on the ground by using the shield button. Also, you need to pay attention to your fuel, as if you're all out, the game will be over right away. Good luck with that trophy!

  • Win Ultimate Haunted House (Game 9)

This trophy can be a pain, but there's an easier way to get it. You must play through Game 1 and beat it by picking up all of the trophy pieces while using your flashlight. After you pick up all of the pieces, you will need to go to the first floor and exit, and the screen will change colors rapidly. After you beat it, you will need to select to Game 9 and start it. The trophy will be unlocked.

  • Reach the top of the local scoreboard in Major Havoc

This trophy will require to get a high score of the game, and there is an easier way to get it.

    1. Simply select MAJOR HAVOC from the main menu, press Start.
    2. Turn on cheats, and then return to main menu.
    3. Launch the game, and it should have a level select appear. Select level 16 and press Start.

You will start the game with 600,000 points. You can play or lose all your lives, but at the game over screen, and the trophy will be yours.

  • Get to level 19 in arcade Missile Command

This is the mother of all the silver trophies, as getting to level 19 on Missile Command is NOT easy! The 19th level of the game has the red sky and yellow ground. Before you start the game, make sure the extra cities are worth 8,000 points. You can use the exploit (backup save abuse) after you beat a level and before you start on the next level, but make sure there's at least 1 or more cities left. After the 18th level, I got an extra city and the trophy popped. The backup save exploit is your best friend, so refer the roadmap about it. Good luck and be brave!

  • Earn a bonus city in arcade Missile Command after losing all your cities

This trophy is fairly simple, just set the extra cities at 8,000 points before you start the game. When you get enough points, make sure all of your cities are destroyed before the end of the level. When you see the screen that says Bonus City, the trophy will be yours.

  • Get a score of at least 40 in Race's solo Crash n Score (Game 8)

To get this trophy, you must score at least 40 points in Race/Indy 500's solo Crash n Score (Game 8) before the time runs out. Be sure not to hit any of the walls or slow down too much, as you'll waste your time.

  • Clear a full screen in arcade Super Breakout while playing cavity or double

You must destroy all of the bricks in the arcade version of Super Breakout while you are playing in either cavity or double mode. This trophy won't unlock in progressive mode because it has unlimited bricks.

  • Win a game of Video Chess against the machine at Skill Level 4

This trophy is a time waster, as this game is pretty boring (IMO). To get it, you must win a game on Game 4. Fortunately, you can use this link to help you to win.

  • Finish Adventure Level 1 in under 40 seconds

When the game starts, you must pick up the yellow key and open the yellow castle as fast as you can. Then, pick up the black key and get to the black castle quickly, but avoid the dragons. After you enter the black castle, pick up the trophy, and get to the yellow castle as fast as possible. If you finish the game in less than 40 seconds, you got this trophy, but if you don't, you will need to start again.

  • Go an entire level of arcade Asteroids with a score of zero

This will be the hardest trophy in Asteroids because completing a level without scoring any of the points is a pain in the butt. To get it, you must not shoot the asteroids or the UFO, or crash into either of them. Make sure the UFO destroys all of the asteroids and the trophy will be yours, but make sure you have no points! Got it? Then, good luck on this brutal trophy!

  • Get to a score of 50,000 without losing a life in Asteroids Deluxe

This will be the hardest gold trophy in this collection because getting a score of 50K on Asteroids Deluxe without dying isn't easy at all! Watch out in particular for the homing asteroids. Here are the points:

    • Big Asteroid - 20 Points
    • Medium Asteroid - 50 Points
    • Small Asteroid - 100 Points
    • Big UFO - 200 Points
    • Small UFO - 1000 Points
    • Big Homing Asteroid - 50 Points
    • Medium Homing Asteroid (Diamond Piece) - 100 Points
    • Small Homing Asteroid (Triangle Piece) - 200 Points

Make sure you score at least 50K or more without losing a single life; if you die, you will need to start from the beginning. Be sure to use your shield at all costs, but don't use it too long or it'll be gone. Good luck!

  • Get extended play in a Sprint 2 race without hitting any walls or oil

In Sprint 2, you must get enough points to get an extended play without hitting any of the walls or oil. But, if you do touch either one, you must restart and try again. Here's an easier way to get it:

    1. Highlight the game on the GAME SELECT main menu and press Start.
    2. Set the game time to 2:30 (it'll still be less in game, but the clock is slower)
    3. Turn OIL SLICKS off. Then go back out to the main menu and start the game,
    4. Press Start (Menu Button) once to begin level selection. Tap the brakes once to select track 2.
    5. Press Start to begin the race.

You will start the game with the time slowed and no oil slicks. You will need to navigate the track in 2nd gear to get all 150 points. Hitting other cars does not penalize you, but it will cause you to lose control. Once you reach 100, simply stop the car. If other cars run into you, you will spin, but won't move forward so just be away from the walls. When the remaining time runs out, "EXTENDED PLAY" will start; just let that time run out and the trophy will be unlocked.

  • Get to 60 parsecs in Star Ship's Warp Drive game (Games 10 or 11)

In Star Ship, you must select either Games 10 or 11 for Warp Drive. I recommend Game 10 because it only has one asteroid. Although, playing on Game 11 has two asteroids instead of one, so they'll be hard to dodge. You must hold down the button to accelerate, but watch out for the asteroid, as getting hit will slow you down. You must reach at least 60 parsecs or more before time runs out. This isn't easy, so take your time.

  • Attain a rank of Admiral in a game of Stellar Track

This trophy is brutal. You must attain a rank of Admiral to unlock this trophy. You can hit select or reset to choose the amount of alien warships that you must destroy as well as the amount of stardates. Be sure you destroy all of the alien warships before you run out of stardates. If you run out of stardates, the game will be over with a lower rank like "Cadet."

Here are the screen colors for the game:

    • Green Screen: Nothing
    • Red Screen: Aliens
    • Grey Screen: Starbase, and it'll regenerate all of your energy.

Keep in mind if you are in the sector that contains an alien and a starbase, the screen will be red. If you kill the alien, the screen will turn grey.
