Golden Duck - Where a batsman is dismissed for 0 runs off his first ball.
Duck - Where a batsman is dismissed for 0 runs.
ODI - One Day International, usually 50 overs in real life but you can customise the amount of overs you play in this game.
Test Match - A match played over 5 days.
Wicket - Where a batsman is dismissed by a bowler.
LBW Leg Before Wicket - When the ball hits the batsman's leg before it hits the wicket.
Caught and Bowled - Where the bowler catches the ball.
Over - Six balls by a single bowler.
Introduction:
Replay the incredible Ashes series of 2009 where England, on home soil, defeated Australia and regained the Ashes urn, in Ashes Cricket 2009. Bat, bowl and field for your country in a variety of different modes, such as Ashes 2009, One Day International, 20 Overs and the new Legends Coaching mode, where Ian Botham & Shane Warne guide you through the basics of international cricket.
Ashes Cricket 2009 is a fairly easy Platinum, if you are a cricket fan this should be a breeze for you. However, don't worry if you are new to cricket as the tutorials and lessons will help you and the game's controls are pretty easy to master.
Step 1: Batting, Bowling, Fielding Tutorials:
It would be a good idea to play through these tutorials first as these will help you learn the basics of the game. The trophies you will earn during this step are:

Step 2: The Ashes:
Most of the trophies in the game are earned playing this mode, so this is your next step. You will be looking to take 40 wickets with one bowler, get 500 runs with one batsman and win the series. You can also earn 'If You Want Something Done Right' by taking 10 wickets with one bowler in an innings. You can also attempt the run trophies, which will count towards the 500 runs trophy 'Ashes King with the Bat', and also attempt 'Test Match Domination', which requires you to get 600 runs in aninnings. The trophies you can earn in this step are:

Step 3: 20 Overs & ODI Modes:
There are 3 trophies you can earn in this mode, for ODI you need to score 300 runs in a innings but make sure you have set the type of match to 'Tournament', then win to get 'ODI Champions'. Repeat for the 20 Overs mode to get '20 Over Champion'.

Step 4: Clean Up:
All you need to do now is clean up the trophies you missed before and get the miscellaneous trophies such as 'King Pair' and 'Nought and Nought'. If you didn't get these before now is your time to get 'Test Match Domination' and 'If You Want Something Done Right'. You also will earn 'Demolition with the Ball', 'Innings Defeat' and '10 Wicket Defeat'.
